Apartment upstairs has seperate private entry. I don't live at the house. There is a service contact if required for any problems. Manly is a fabulous lively city village. The apartment is up on a hill in a residential area, slightly removed from the village centre and nightlife sounds. The famous Manly surf beach or still water Shelly Beach are within walking distance. Buses travel constantly up and down nearby Sydney and Pittwater Roads to all surrounding areas and the city. Manly Wharf is in walking distance to catch a boat into the city. I walk from the apartment to everywhere in Manly. If you need a car there is an off street space for a small to medium size car secured behind a gate. For a larger or 2nd car there is a resident parking permit for free unrestricted street parking. For those who find walking up a hill to the apartment from Manly difficult there are frequent bus services which stop on the flat nearby and a taxi rank at the bottom or the hill which cost about $7. Manly Council provides a free ‘hop, skip & jump’ bus every 30 mins from morning to early evening, which stops near or in the street - depending which route you take. There is room for surfboards and outside shower is a great way to rinse off after the beach. The dryer is located under the house near clothes line. Washing machine is in the kitchen. The apartment is on the ground floor of a two apartment duplex. Access to the house for those with a disability has one small step up to the front verandah and another small step up once inside the entry hall. There are another two steps inside the house from the kitchen up to slightly elevated dining/sun room. Manly is a fabulous lively city village. Fairlight House

Beautifully decorated and is equipped with everything you'd need for a home away from home stay. There are two bedrooms with queen size beds. Separate living room with a cosy fireplace and dinning room for 6 people. A charming study with a small daybed, a desk and printer. Well equipped kitchen good enough for any chefs. Sunny balcony off the master bedroom to sit and enjoy a cup of coffee. A plunge pool with sunbed in the rear courtyard garden for soaking up the sun or alfresco entertaining & relaxation. We provide luxurious bedding linen, Egyptian Cotton bath towels, high end bathroom amenities including a hairdryer. Unfortunately we do not provide beach towels and we don't have a BBQ. There is a Nespresso Coffee machine in the kitchen and we provide a few coffee pods to get you started but you will have to purchase the additional pods at our local supermarket, Coles. Instant coffee and a small selection of tea are there for you to use of course. Guests will have access to the entire house by themselves. Guests will have full privacy. The house is conveniently located within a 10-20 minute walk of the famous Manly Beach precinct, home to a multitude of trendy cafes, restaurants, and boutiques. In addition, there's easy access to outdoor activities, such as bushwalking and surfing. If you don't want to do the 10-20mins walk to Manly, there is a local free bus shuttle (Hop Skip & Jump Bus) that takes you to directly to Manly Beach and Manly ferry. The bus stops right across the street in front of the house and comes around every 30mins. To go into the city there is also a public bus stop just around the corner but we suggest you take the scenic ferry ride across the Harbour into Sydney and you'll be in the heart of Sydney's tourist attractions. If you have a car you can park on the street in front of the house. There is always plenty of parking available. Fairlight La Maison is a terrace house on 3 levels so there are steep narrow stairs which might not be suitable for young children not used to stairs and elderly people. We have a gas fireplace. There is a Nespresso machine but only a sample of pods will be provided to get you started. If you would like use the Nespresso Coffee machine then you will need to buy extra coffee pods at the local supermarket. We don't have a BBQ. You will also need to bring your own beach towels as we do not provide beach towels at the house. We don't own a cat but our neighbours do. Nero is the black cat and Oscar is the grey marble cat. They are super friendly cats and often wander into the house if the doors and windows are left open. If you are allergic to cats we suggest you don't allow them in the house.

Freshwater Cottage

Chillax at this Beachside location! Freshwater Cottage is beautiful accommodation only a 5 minute walk to the best beach in the world: Freshwater and a 7 minute walk to the beautiful clifftop boardwalk to Curl Curl Beach (second best!?). Also a short walk to cafes, bars & restaurants, including the famous Pilu Restaurant! Plus a delightful 60 minute beachside stroll to the famous Manly Beach. Perfect for a summer beach holiday, a winter ocean-side retreat or a work from home surfer’s escape!

Studio cottage close to the beach

(Studio update December 2025) - The studio will very unfortunately be next door to a building site.. Demolition and excavation are complete though there can still be general building noise. The builders hours are 7am - 3:30pm Monday to Friday. Very likely the normal peace and serenity will be disrupted during this time.
