Private Headland, Coastal, Waterfront

VaneshaRating, 5 stars4 weeks ago
Beautiful spot, hard to explain in words how incredibly peaceful and special this spot is. We booked last minute to get away from the city and Linda was so helpful, highly communicative and it was better than we were expecting. We are also very grateful that we could take our dog, I’m pretty sure it was her idea of heaven!

The Back Paddock

SteveRating, 5 stars2 months ago
This small cottage was everything we could have asked for, peaceful, beautiful surroundings and helpful, friendly hosts. The location is ideal most of Northland, including the Cape, East and West coasts. We would have no hesitation in going back when we next visit New Zealand, we left with still much to see and do. If you are staying over a weekend, the Kerikeri market on a Saturday morning is not to be missed.

Ducks Paradise

BlairRating, 5 stars3 months ago
A special tranquil gem with lakeside access! A very private and quiet place to ‘just relax’ and recharge. I had a fantastic nights sleep and sat outside in the morning sun enjoying my breakfast. Chloe the Lab popped by to make sure I was all settled in (beautiful). The place is very well set up, well equipped and so very private and relaxing. Thank you Christa & Hank. I really appreciate it.

Jan’s place was fantastic. It had all I needed, great wifi, relaxing quiet environment, excellent facilities, beautiful outlook - perfect for a relaxing getaway. Jan’s space is very comfortable, has lots of space and offers several options to relax, enjoy the view and peaceful surroundings. Jan’s home is perfectly situated to enjoy the best of Paihia and I highly recommend her as host. I was delighted with Jan’s wonderful place.

Beautiful little cabin, felt very private and peaceful. The separate bathroom really isn't an issue and just adds to the charm.

Glamcamping by the edge of a beach

AngeliqueRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Such a stunning spot. Tea’s place was everything we were hoping for and more. We just loved the vibe of the space for endless rounds of cards and snuggling up at night, listening to the roar of the sea. The perfect spot for connecting with family and faves.

Brenda’s accommodation was very nice in a peaceful location. She and Darrell were very friendly and communicated very well. Did have to get use to a Macerator toilet with the noise it made when the water was on.

Wild Forest Tree House Eco Retreat + outdoor bath

ReidRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Amazing place to stay, easy enough to get to and not too far down the gravel road, but feels super secluded and incredibly peaceful. The treehouse is up the hill from the main house, and all you see from the balconies is lush bush. It was clearly built with great care and attention to detail and maintained in the same way. Has all the cooking gear, coffee, kettle, etc., you need. I cannot recommend it enough and will struggle to find anywhere else to match it.

We had a lovely 2 night stay - quiet, private and tranquil with beautiful views of rolling hills and paddocks. Kelly is an excellent communicator and swift to assist. Ocean Palms Hideaway

SarahRating, 5 stars16 months ago
Kathryn’s place was amazing! We loved our stay. I couldn’t believe how well stocked it was. Everything we needed was there. It was extremely comfortable. The hospitality was so welcoming and we felt right at home. The view and the serenity take the cake though. Not often you get ocean, mountains, pastures, cows etc all at one place. Definitely recommend.

Secluded private rural retreat mins from Warkworth

SteffiRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
We had a great stay at Daniel's and Angela's place. This tiny house is modern and secluded, and while on the same property as the owner's home, it is out of sight and tucked away behind a little hill. Daniel met us at the tiny house and showed us its features, and his enthusiastic introduction with accent was very charming. The surroundings were peaceful with lots of fruit trees around (full of ripe feijoas, mandarins, oranges, grapefruit, limes, figs, and macademia nuts, if I have not forgotten any). We picked what had fallen to the ground and had a feast. All rooms have big windows and glas doors to the front deck, including the bedroom, so you get that beautiful rural view first thing after waking up. If you are lucky with the weather, the morning sun will shine into the bedroom.

organic farm, beautiful setting on harbour.

AmyRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
What a treat to stay at this beautiful cottage. It was so peaceful, calm and rejuvenating. The setting is delightful, we saw and heard all sorts of wildlife. The place is exceptionally well equipped for an escape from the city. The real fire was excellent and we pretty much stayed in the cottage and relaxed, we ventured out for a walk for a massage with the neighbour. I would highly recommend this relaxing cottage.

Waterfront Quintessential kiwi bach

Lovely bach in a beautiful location overlooking the water. Loved the decor. The bach is well appointed with books and games for a rainy day and kayaks for a sunny day out on the water. We loved the weekend we spent there.

Houhora Harbour Studio

LieveRating, 5 stars1 week ago
Jacqualine's Studio is a great place. We stayed there for a week and during that time we had some very bad weather. But The Studio made our stay still a comfortable experience. And Jacqualine and her husband are nice and friendly people taking good care of their guests. This is also a good location to visit all the highlights of the far north. Close to the cape and the beautiful beaches. Absolutely recommended.

Farmhouse with Coastal Views

LindaRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
I recently stayed at this Airbnb and had a peaceful, relaxing experience. The location is incredibly quiet and serene—perfect for unwinding. At night, it’s dark enough for star gazing and astrophotography. Sadly, it was mostly cloudy during my stay, but on a clear night, it would be incredible. The daytime views are stunning, whether you're inside or out on the patio. The house doesn't have air conditioning, but each room has a portable heater and a fan, which was more than enough with the mild weather. Note that only the bedrooms have blinds; the living areas have large, uncovered windows, allowing lots of natural light and beautiful, uninterrupted views. It’s also well situated: Ātiu Creek Regional Park is a 7-minute drive, Minniesdale Chapel is just a minute away by car or a 5-minute walk, and Port Albert Wharf is about 10 minutes. Overall, it’s a lovely, peaceful getaway perfect for disconnecting and enjoying nature.

A great getaway with wonderful surroundings, trees, birdsong, a waterway nearby, plus only 5 mins drive to Matakana village. The shipping container accommodation was very cool - warm and very comfortable. Even with the crazy Easter weekend weather we had a great weekend away.
