Off Grid Converted Sugar Shack

This little rustic OFF GRID converted sugar shack is perfect for a quiet getaway. There are 2 solar panels that feed the lighting and water pump; limited, non-drinking water for the 2 sinks (summer only); and compostable toilet. There is no shower, no oven and no fridge. A cooler, an urn of drinking water and firewood are provided. The shack is on our 35 acre property, with our home 500ft down the lane. You will have access to our property to walk through the maple forest and wildflower meadow.

We are steps away from activities such as walking, cycling, ATVing, skiing, snowmobiling can on the nearby Algonquin Trail. We are just 30 minutes from world class downhill skiing and whitewater rafting.

Beautiful Arnprior! - 1 minute off highway 417 - 2 minutes walk to the mall (with grocery stores) fast food spots - No crime neighbourhood - 20 mins to Kanata (Canadian Tire Centre) - 40 mins to downtown Ottawa - 15 minutes to Mt. Pakenham - 30 mins Calabogie Peaks. Furnished with king size bed, double bed, fold out couch and 2 cots available upon request.

The Little Green House

Welcome to the Little Green House. It may be tiny but it’s cute as can be. This farm house would be suitable for a couple or a single as there is only one bedroom; this room has a queen bed. The living room is cozy and the kitchen is brand new as of 2023 - it is bright and warm. Kick back and relax in this calm, stylish space. You are free to collect fresh eggs from the chicken coop in the morning after making yourself a coffee.
