Gadestatt is a traditional Maiensäss. A Maiensäss is a cultural peculiarity of Swiss history. These simple but beautiful wooden buildings used to be inhabited on the Alps during the summer. My property, which was completely refurbished in summer 2016, is located on the south-facing "sunny side" of Grindelwald in a very quiet location and is well suited for couples and solo travelers. The village center of Grindelwald can be reached on foot in about 12 minutes.
