Misty Mountain Hut-Ruapehu is located in the sleepy little village of Rangataua, 5 minutes distance to Mountain road going up to the Turoa skifield and Ohakune. The 1 bedroom colonial villa has a beautiful view of the mountain. Unlimited wifi and a new firebox with plenty of firewood and a heat pump ensure you are warm in winter. My favourite time here is summer for amazing walks/cycling up mountains to enjoy majestic views. Misty Mountain Hut supports local staff by paying $40/hr for cleaning.

Cosy in the Centre of Ohakune

This one bedroom apartment is on the ground floor of our family home (we live on the 2nd and 3rd floors). It is in the middle of Ohakune, halfway between Turoa Junction and Ohakune centre. They're a walks close by, Turoa is 20 minutes drive away and we have a list of walks that are nearby and suit a range of people. Parking is right in front of the apartment as per the photos in the listing. Our house manual also has a list of the best spots in Ohakune to check out.

An inviting space, this home has been completely refreshed to make your stay relaxing and comfortable. With high natural wood ceilings and lots of light, this architecturally designed chalet makes the most of the beauty of its natural surroundings. There is space for 7 guests and the location is handy to town and the Turoa ski field road. In cold weather snuggle up with plenty of throws, cushions and a warm fire. No parties allowed. Absolutely no pets allowed.

This new home is the ideal place to relax after a day skiing, hiking or biking. There are 2 living areas that share a double sided gas fire. Perfect for apres ski or a romantic evening in. Enjoy the sunset from the front deck or the fully fenced outdoor area with BBQ, seating and loungers. Relax and enjoy the view of the mountain from the hot tub. The Mangawhero River and cycle way are a 1 minute walk.
