Our place is close to the great Tongariro National Park. It includes Mt Ruapehu for skiing or snow boarding and tramping. Walk the world famous Tongariro Crossing and discover the cycle ways, kayak the Whanganui River and explore the 'Bridge to No Where'. Try trout fishing, a game of golf or visit the Waiouru Army Museum. Enjoy our cosy home with a wood fire whilst taking in the amazing mountain and rural views. Our place is good for couples and families (with kids) or small groups.

Waireka Apartment, situated in Ohakune in the Ruapehu District is a self contained 2 bedroom apartment each with a queen size bed, a large lounge with mountain views, kitchen and own spa pool. Spa Pool operates from 10am to 10pm Cleaning on departure is included in the rate. Located close to bike trails and a mere 20mins from Turoa ski field and 40mins to Whakapapa ski field, this cosy chalet has everything you need for an epic summer or winter getaway. The new hot water system provides a hot and strong pressured shower. Not only will you be staying close to fantastic restaurants and cafes, but you’re also close to the supermarket, ski gear, shuttle and bike hire. Cosy in the Centre of Ohakune

This one bedroom apartment is on the ground floor of our family home (we live on the 2nd and 3rd floors). It is in the middle of Ohakune, halfway between Turoa Junction and Ohakune centre. They're a walks close by, Turoa is 20 minutes drive away and we have a list of walks that are nearby and suit a range of people.
