The cabin in Hovden (Bø in Vesterålen)

Recharge your batteries at this unique and quiet accommodation where the sea meets the sky. The cabin has a beautiful location by the sea, short distance to the nearest beach, about 100 m. Great balcony with sea view. The place has three beaches. If you go south you will come to a viewpoint with midnight sun about 800 meters from the cabin, if you go north you will find the pier that you can walk out on. Bring friends or the whole family to this beautiful and charming place. Here you will find a great swimming beach just below the house. It is 3-400 meters to another beach with playground equipment, volleyball court etc. There are great hiking opportunities on the island to Skaga lighthouse or to the many beaches on the island. It is 15 min. to drive to Stø with Hvalsafari, 15 min. to Myre where you will find a good selection of shops (sports , clothing stores, liquor store, 4 grocery st.etc.).

The midnight sun lasts from mid-May to mid-July, a few weeks before and after this period the nights are as bright as the days.

Welcome to Farmorhuset in Nykvåg, in the heart of beautiful Vesterålen. The house was built in 1954 and combines a nostalgic 1950s style with modern amenities. I inherited this house from my father, who in turn inherited it from his mother, and it has therefore been important for me to preserve the house's soul and history. It is best suited for 5 guests, but can accommodate 6 if needed with an extra mattress in one of the bedrooms. Farmorhuset has 3 bedrooms, 4 beds and 1 bathroom.

The area is rich in sea eagles and there is a high probability that you will be able to spot one. You can also rent a boat for fishing in the fjord.
