Really enjoyed my stay here. The management was a bit challenging to reach once I was checked in (I emailed requesting late checkout and it was a while before I heard back). Other than that location couldn’t be better (walking distance to the beach as well as convenience stores and restaurants). As a solo female traveller I found the door that connects to the main house to be a little unnerving 😅 (I put a chair in front of it for the duration of my stay).

Very well equipped place. Modern kitchen and bathroom. Good price and near to the main supermarkets. We will definitely come back to this place next time we are in Taranaki! Highly recommended

I can’t say enough good things about this house! The location is perfect for families with kiddos and for surfing. The hosts were super responsive and helpful. The house was stocked with things for the kids to play with. The garden is a wonderful perk. We look forward to staying here again! Warning that loads of black flies showed up because of the farms up the road. Lee and Sarah were so helpful in how to deal with them and it’s something that’s totally out of their control.

This home is in a great location as it was easy to get to and leave from and to the motorway. You can walk to lots of places nearby including the boardwalk and beach. The house itself was well kitted out, with the kitchen having everything we needed to have home cooked meals. The rooms were also very comfortable. Our young kids enjoyed the huge yard. The heated outdoor shower was also a bonus for cleaning up after the beach. Victoria was also responsive and great to communicate with.

Great place to stay. Comfy room and bed, clean bathroom with lovely shower right next door for our personal use. Lovely deck to sit on in the sun, easy to get in and out of the place and find way around the kitchen etc. Sharon is really lovely and welcoming. Thanks for making our stay so relaxing, and sharing your home!

Gorgeous accommodation with a stunning outlook! Nuala was quick to respond and even came out to say Hi when she saw us. Loved the extra little touch on the chalk board outside :D The Villa itself was very clean, tidy and felt private, bonus is that it's close to the beach where we got to watch an amazing sunset on our first night, and there's a lovely coastal walk just down the drive all the way into town. 100% recommend and we'd definitely love to stay again!

After our intimate wedding ceremony in New Plymouth, with our adult children and their partners, we shared the weekend at the Oakura accommodation. It was a wonderful wedding venue and offered us everything we needed. Rosanna kindly allowed us an earlier check-in on our wedding day, which we greatly appreciated. Thank you Rosanna and Richard.

Heinrich and Nicayla were lovely hosts. They were understanding and adaptable to our needs and making sure we were comfortable. The home has beautiful views of the sea and all the comforts including two living areas. They offered thoughtful snacks, appliances and suggested. The space was clean, beautifully presented with high end and well kept furniture, bedding and carpets making it feel luxurious.

Had a wonderful weeks stay, the location is amazing and right at Fitzroy beach and the place has everything you need, is very homely comfortable and relaxing. Great to have the washing machine to be able to use. Highly recommend to stay here.

We had the most incredible stay at Donna and Paul’s beautiful property! The house is perfectly situated right on the water, you fall asleep to the sound of waves and wake up to breathtaking countryside views, with the stunning Mt. Taranaki in the distance. The sunsets here are truly magical. The home itself is super spacious and has all the comforts you’d want. Donna and Paul are amazing hosts, warm, welcoming, and thoughtful. Donna even left us some fresh tomatoes from the garden, which we turned into a delicious pasta dinner! Their dog was adorable and friendly. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Highly, highly recommend!

The perfect home away, Sandra’s place was safe, quiet and had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. The house was spotless and we enjoyed the benefits of staying in someone’s home with all the comforts of a full kitchen, comfy lounge and all the linen you needed. The best unexpected surprises was the smoothie blender and airfryer, the extra blankets to make the sofa more comfortable to sleep on, the teas and coffee selection. The charm was in the little positive quotes stuck everywhere & Knick-knacks around the house filling the place with positivity & character. Thank you Sandra for being quick to communicate with us and letting us stay at your place.

My husband and I had a wonderful stay at Marlene's space, Central On Sea. Marlene is a fantastic host. She is very kind and hospitable, and provided us with everything we needed during our stay. This is a great location. It feels private and peaceful while also being walking distance to cafes and restaurants. And it is right in front of the sea with access to walkways around the coastline (right across the road). The space itself has plenty of room. Nice big bathroom. The kitchen had all we needed should we need to fix a meal, although we found ourselves enjoying the wonderful restaurants in New Plymouth, mostly. I highly recommend staying at Central On Sea. We will definitely be returning. Thank you Marlene!
