Welcome to Ōmishima! Benton Guesthouse is a former abandoned 'akiya' lovingly renovated into our Shōwa-era private full-house rental. Our house is furnished 'natsukashii' nostalgic style, in the 'inaka' Japanese countryside, conveniently located in the middle of the Shimanami Kaido island chain. 7-minute drive to Oyamazumi Shrine. 7-minute drive to Tatara Bridge (to Ikuchijima). 10-minute drive to Ōmishima Bridge (to Hakatajima). 7-minute walk to Idahachiman Shrine. 10-minute walk to the beach.

新尾道駅周辺では唯一の宿泊施設です。宿泊施設は伝統的な日本家屋で、母屋にお泊り頂きます。 1日1組限定で、4名様まで宿泊可能です。ワンちゃんと一緒に宿泊可能です（但し、畳部屋ではケージに入れて頂きます）。新幹線から近いので通過する毎に騒音及び振動があります。音に敏感な方には不向きかも知れません。（PM11:40～AM6:20は運行しないので静か） It is the only stay facility around Shin-Onomichi Station. Our stay facility is a traditional Japanese style house and you will stay in the main building. One day one group and possible to stay up to 4 people. It is possible to stay with your dog. (However, in the tatami room, we will ask you to put he/she in a cage.)

"Log House" on Ikuchi Island

We have the second house in Ikuchi Island. You can stay there whenever we don't use it. Please check in between 3pm and 9pm. Please pick up this house key from the key case on the premises. There is no WIFI in this house. There are no restaurants or convenience stores nearby. There is a cafe nearby, but it closes at 5pm. There are no street lamps around the neighborhood. Please turn on the outdoor light when stepping out at night.

"A small cabin renovated from a 5-tsubo* warehouse built on sloping land. Even though the building is only about 37 square meters across both the 1st and 2nd floors combined, it offers a cozy atmosphere that doesn’t feel cramped. Please enjoy this compact yet comfortable living space. While it’s located on a slope, it’s only an 8-minute walk to the shopping district of Onomichi." (*1 tsubo = approximately 3.3 square meters)
