Super convenient place to stay, especially if you’re taking the bus from Portland! I stayed for 4 nights and had a wonderful time. Due to construction in the female bunk room, I was upgraded to a private lofted-suite for free—which I was more than happy about. Room exceeded my expectation! The volunteers at the hostel were amazing—Asa, Kirsten, and Cody were all so welcoming, personable, and extremely helpful. Asa even drove me over to Cannon Beach one day when I missed the bus. And Kirsten invited me to a delicious group meal she made. If you’re interested to book this hostel and want to contact someone, they said to call the office directly. The listed Airbnb host, Nguyen, does not respond. Overall, a lovely stay—I’d certainly book the hostel again the next time I’m in Seaside!

This was a really fun place to visit for a night. Lots to do in walking distance and tasty food in the cafe. First time in Portland and enjoyed the stay a lot!

The location is fantastic. The hostel itself is great - comfortable and clean, free bagels in the morning, and the lobby has a cafe and an area which hosts evens almost every night. The lobby also has a lot of recommendations of things to do around town. It’s a great place to stay especially if you’ve never been to Portland!

This is truly a gem of a hostel. My partner and I just got back from 10 weeks of traveling in NZ, staying at many hostels or backpackers along the way. NW Portland Hostel ranks in the top 2! Great vibe, great size and manageable to feel homey and comfortable.

Myself and my friend Lexi stayed only one night at the hostel on our Portland roadtrip. It was brilliant! The building is very San Francisco-esk, and even though there’s plenty of people staying there at one time, it was quite quiet and you felt like you were in your own private space with the large space of the room. The people at check in were a delight - super helpful and polite, gave us great advice on where to eat, shop, and tourist spots we shouldn’t miss. Everything is walkable, or a very short drive. The place itself was super clean and everyone was kind! The coffee downstairs in the office / commons area is so good also! (Coming from a caffeine addict like myself - this is high praise!). Would love to stay again when I’m next in Portland! Thank you NW Portland Hostel ♥️✨.

A perfect weekend getaway! Ideal location, clean room and clean shared bathrooms, straightforward instructions. I have a hard time sleeping without AC, but in mid-April, the fan and open window combo was just right. Thanks for a great stay, Linda! I’ll be back. :)

This hostel type accommodation was so neat - my first time trying something like this - I will definitely be back! You can’t beat the price!

It really is a great place to stay a night or 2 in Yachats. Super economical, and everything feels, and looks clean, and newer - certainly compared to most of the other much more expensive hotels on the coast. They've done a great job with the use of each rooms space ~ multiple hooks on the walls, chair, table. Be prepared, they are very small rooms -but the beds are super comfortable - the pillows, the linen sheets. Each room has a smart TV attached high on the wall, and a fan and a wall heater. You share a kitchen equipped with a big refrigerator/freezer, coffee/tea, amenities, sink, and now laundry machines! There are 2 bathrooms, one full, one half. In addition, a nice large walk-in shower room. If you're skeptical like I was at first, you'll most likely be pleasantly surprised staying here.
