Tiny house holiday rentals in Ottawa River

What a beautiful cottage on a beautiful lake! The multiple windows really let in the outdoors. there were so many different places to sit outside to enjoy nature and the lake. We used a kayak and a canoe, and Catherine provided all the safety equipment too. She even lent us a couple fishing poles. We chose the option to leave $10 for the garbage removal rather than take it to the dump ourselves. Everything was so simple. We are so glad we chose this cottage.

The cottage on the lake is idyllic. Beautiful view, ideal location on the elevated lake. The path to get there in winter is a little sporty but it's good, travel light! The cottage is well-equipped, but bring your pillows for extra comfort. The mattresses are a little hard but camping so you can expect it. Super well equipped for cooking and above all very comfortable. We recommend it!

Our group of 8 friends spent an amazing long weekend at Friendly Fires and couldn’t have asked for a better experience. The place is quirky and cute in all the right ways… We experienced all 4 seasons in 3 days (19° and sunshine followed by freezing rain and snow), but the property has so many different areas to hang out and activities for entertainment and relaxing that we were never on top of each other or bored. We’re already planning our next visit, can’t wait to go back!

We had a great stay at the guest cabin. The place was very clean and well stocked. It is evident that Ryan and Bryan took time to think about the small details which goes a long way for the guests. The hosts were very responsive and even organized an early check-in for us. It truly was a perfect stay. A big thank you to Ryan and Bryan for everything. We hope to have them host us again sometime soon.

What a stunning place! Can’t recommend highly enough. Beautiful, peaceful, private, comfortable, quiet. A perfect blend of a modestly sized space, with comfortable modern décore, and many comforts and amenities. Countless thoughtful touches - from birding binoculars to pour-over coffee dripper & instructions. Two well stocked fireplaces made the indoor and spacious outdoor spaces equally comfortable. Can hardly wait to return!

We loved the escape pod so much! Zac and Steph were so lovely and accommodating and have such an amazing property We loved how quiet it was and we got to see lots of wildife during our short stay The hosts even put up a birthday banner and balloons for my wife after i mentioned her bd the night before we checked in. We thought it was such a sweet gesture and it meant alot We stayed during the week in between seasons so there was a day none of the other cabins on their property were booked so we were able to hike to all of them and check them out . All of them are sooo cool! we will definitely be back to the pod and hopefully one or more of the other cabins We were initially booked at another airbnb and i just was getting weird vibes from the host so i canceled and Im so happy we did Zac and Stephs place is exactly what we needed. It was safe,clean,quiet,beautiful and private. We will definitely return 2SLGBTQ+ friendly

Very cozy and cute chalet, and the private access to the river will be a huge plus in the summer!

Thanks, Peter, for the lovely stay at your Chalet and being such an accommodating host. The house is very tidy, clean, and has all the amenities we needed. We loved watching the snow flakes fall outside, and all the natural light that shines through the enormous windows. The place is quiet, cozy and warm. Nicely appointed. Being nestled in the woods, we enjoyed exploring the property with the dog (despite the snow and the Spring run-off making the woods quite wet, but wearing rubber boots, we were able to scout around. Easy 10 min drive to all major stores & factory outlets. I would definitely stay here again.

The cottage is beautiful, as in the pictures!! It has everything you need.. Marie-France is very responsive. Our stay was perfect, exotic, everything we needed to recharge We will be there again ..

Biljana's place is an Art Paradise. it transports you to another world. on my way to the Airbnb, I asked our host so many questions about local attractions/things to do, but once I entered the loft I didn't need any of that. I just spent my whole stay at the property to truly experience each piece of art there. I brought my 4 year old here as a surprise during his march break and he loved it ❤️. Biljana made our stay even more special by adding personal touches to his bedding and has enough to keep an active toddler completely engaged and screen free for the duration of the stay. Bonus: This was his first time interacting with a children's book illustrator. Already planning my next visit here. Cant wait to be back :)

Stayed three nights and four days during a late March ice storm. The wood stove was definitely our favourite feature as it allows us to cook food when the storm knocked out the power. There was an abundant supply of covered firewood outside. The tapwater has a UV filter so we used that to drink, but we also brought a tank of water which came in handy when the power went out. Follow the handbook and you’ll have a great time but you 100% needed a four-wheel-drive with snow tires if the temperature is below zero, the hills were quite treacherous due to the ice and snow. Chris replied to all of my inquiries in very timely fashion which was great and was always helpful. Overall, had a great trip and would definitely go back.

We had a wonderful stay, the cabin is very nice, looks exactly like the photos and the property was very private and beautiful. We enjoyed a snowy walk on their trails and drove about 20 minutes into Huntsville one day which was very nice. Emma was very responsive and accommodated our schedule which we really appreciated. Would highly recommend and we will return in the future.

I had an amazing time staying and Katherine and Jacob’s mini cabin in Labelle! They were very kind in helping to me find the location. I was offered rides from the cabin and to the main town since I didn’t have a car. They also got me some food since there was a surprise snow storm on my 2nd day which was really nice from them. They also lended me their bike so I could go around and sight see a little bit aswell! If you’re looking for a getaway for 1 or 2 people you will have an amazing time staying at the Eco Loft!

Absolutely beautiful place to stay! It was peaceful, cozy and exactly what we needed for a weekend. The inside was warm and inviting with the fire place already fired up upon arrival. The sauna was also already stoked and ready to go which we jumped in immediately. We did not want to leave. Very unique spot and would definitely visit again!

This stay was a perfect getaway from the city. The cabin was exactly as described and extremely cozy. Cassie was a fantastic host and made our stay very smooth. can't recommend this place enough. If you want to spend some peaceful time in nature you should absolutely come here!

Darren has found a real gem here on Sweets Lake. We feel lucky to have spent the week there. The road side of the cabin has a nice fire pit with a real charcoal grill and picnic table with lots of room to hang out with a ton of trees around. If you prefer shade you can have it all day. If you prefer sun, there is a great spot on the little wrap around deck to sit and enjoy, or down the stairs at the dock there was sun all day every day. The water is crystal clear and gets deep fast. There is no problem jumping off the dock. I'm not sure what's in the lake but we caught some bass and a pike. The cabin itself is small but really cool. If you catch a chill the little wood stove heats it up in 2 minutes. The folks in Coe Hill are all super friendly. The Mercantile store at the turnoff was really cool with 14 rooms of various wares. The week at this little cabin made me wish I had a spot like this. OH, the outhouse is the cleanest and nicest I've ever seen with a view!

Awesome tiny cabin! We enjoyed our stay and would recommend to anyone else looking for a peaceful getaway.

We were looking for a quiet fall cabin getaway and this provided us with exactly what we were looking for. The cabin was located on a fairly private section in the trees. There was a walking trail near by and access to the water and a dock. By traveling in the off season the park was pretty quiet. 😊 The cabin was comfortable and had everything we needed. We enjoyed the cozy inside comforts of home as well as the great deck and wonderful forest and river view. Mike, the park manager, was very friendly and helpful. He greeted us upon our arrival and showed us to our cabin making sure we had everything we needed for our stay. There was a bit of a grumpy resident camper who came over to complain as soon as we arrived because our dogs were playing and burning off some steam after being in the car for a couple hours. The dogs were both on long lines, but he claimed the dogs were loud & he was going to complain to the park manager about us. If he did we didn’t hear about it.

Everything about this stay was so beautiful and perfect. We visited during October and all the fall colours were on full display, so gorgeous. Absolutely zero complaints, the bed was comfy, the incinerator toilet was easy to figure out, the shower was warm, Tammy was a wonderful host. I would definitely recommend staying here, so much to do in the surrounding areas as well.

Our stay at the cabana was awesome. The place is beautiful and comfortable and has every need for cooking (and I mean it): BBQ, hot plate and pans, coffee maker, kettle, knives, etc. The views are breathtaking with the cabana being right on the Ottawa river, the sunsets on the kayaks are just magical. It gets really cold next to the water this time of the year but the place is equipped with 3 heaters, a fire pit and a hot tub to stay warm. Thank you Deanna for having us here your place if truly amazing and we’ll be back soon!

Choleena & Larry were sweet and welcoming as always. Beautiful place to stay if you wanna see stars and hear birds. They also worked with our schedule and were very responsive! Can’t wait for the next time I get to stay in this beautiful place. There were a lot of bugs this time than the last time I went in the summer so if you’re going in the fall, I would advise you to maybe take some bug spray :) but nothing to complain about since that was out of their control and a perk of been out in the wild!

We really enjoyed our getaway at Jessica’s place. The cottage was the perfect size for two people, and the hot tub/sauna/cold plunge experience was just what we needed. We also appreciated all the nice touches around the house, like the little chocolates and bottle of wine. There are two bathrooms, a flushing toilet for #1 and a composting toilet for #2. The toilet for #2 is outside but attached to the house, and was much nicer than we anticipated. The owners are also around the property every day to work in their shop/feed their chickens so something to be aware of for privacy. We still felt like it was private because of the fencing that blocks the hot tub area. Overall we had a great experience and would definitely recommend staying here!

We had a fantastic stay at La-Verne and Kees cabin. It has everything you need for a peaceful unplugged cabin experience. We were the last booking of the season, so the wood stove came in very handy on the chilly fall nights. If you are using the wood stove a lot, recommend buying their bags of wood onsite as they are small enough pieces for the little stove. The fire pit outside was great for watching the sunset, and be on the lookout for deer in the early morning! The location is great- close to town for supplies, plus nice hikes like Egan Chutes. The property is quiet and the cabin is perfectly tucked away from the main house so it’s very private. The cabin has all the basics in the kitchen and we had no problem making meals with the essentials they provide. We really loved our stay and can’t wait to come back next fall!
