The Red Caboose Train Carriage

The Red Caboose is a 1941 South African Railways train carriage on Red Earth Farm, 15km from Robertson, 4km from McGregor. 4 sleeper. Just over 2 hours from Cape Town. We are in a super location close to Vrolijkheid Nature Reserve, Wine Farms, Eseltjierus Donkey Sanctuary and 4km from McGregor village where guests find cafés, restaurants, shops. The carriage consists of a kitchen, dining booth, bathroom, bunk room & main bedroom. Outside we have a comfortable fire pit/braai and a small pool.

Wildcroft Gypsy Bowtop

Our Gypsy Bowtop Caravan was handmade by a wonderful local craftsman. Made with Spruce and Cypress wood, and a canvas top covering the characteristic bows, it is a unique and very comfortable space. It is self-contained with a double bed, a bathroom, a dinette and kitchenette with a small wood-burning stove. Windows in the canvas give views of the garden and mountains. There is a private deck with seating and a Weber outside. Situated lower in our garden, it is a restful and peaceful space.
