“I can’t say enough good things about Tonette’s place. It was so much better than we expected. Quiet, peaceful, clean, and cozy. It’s in the middle of nowhere with only a small Dollar General and one restaurant within ten minutes’ driving distance, so if you want a quiet getaway in the country, this is the perfect place! There is a town twenty minutes south with more stuff in it. It’s a very old house, but everything works perfectly and it’s been well taken care of! We felt at home as soon as we walked in. We didn’t have cell service, but the WiFi was strong. The photos don’t do it justice. Don’t hesitate to book a stay here. It was wonderful. 10/10! We’re already planning our next visit!”
(Airbnb lists this as a room with an airbed but we do not supply a bed or tent). Primitive campsites set down in our quiet valley. There are water spigots, and guests have access to a beautiful men's and women's bathhouse with hot showers.
“Great place and amazing value! Clean bathrooms and showers in a charming bath house. Lots of beautiful horses and farmland. My boyfriend and I made the hike to the fire tower through the National Forest from this property and saw amazing 360 views. Most everything was closed down because of the Covid-19 outbreak, and I hope we can return to see everything up and running including the bar, restaurant, and store. They also had trail rides available including one all the way up to the tower.”
Come spend the night under the sky in our one of a kind hut. Nestled in an enchanted Appalachian holler, you will enjoy views of the night sky from the comfort of your queen bed. The heater and heated blanket are sure to keep you cozy on cold nights. In the morning, enjoy our complimentary organic farm eggs, oatmeal, french press coffee and tea. Hang out with the sheep, goats and chickens grazing on the edge of the forest. Take a stroll on our trail or enjoy a nap in the hammocks.
“We were looking for a peaceful weekend away and that's exactly what we found. Mitch is there for anything you need, but you have plenty of privacy, aside from the chickens and sweet kitten that came to greet us every day. We also met the dogs, sheep, and an 11 day old goat named Gus. The farm fresh eggs for breakfast each morning was my favorite touch. We visited in mid-March but between the fireplace, heater, and electric blanket, we were very comfortable. The roosters will make sure you don't sleep in, but the hut was inviting, clean, and cozy. We'll be back!”
