The Annex, Berwick, East Sussex

Light and spacious self-contained Annex, separate from the main house with it's own private entrance. Being within two miles of the South Downs National Park and an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, we are surrounded by idyllic countryside, lovely villages and pubs, and only 6 miles from the sea. The Space: Our Annex is comprised of a spacious double bedroom, with king-sized bed and luxurious bedding, a large lounge, a shower room, and a kitchenette, equipped with fridge/freezer, microwave, toaster, tea & coffee making facilities, washing machine and dryer. Breakfast included. We have two friendly dogs, who have access to our garden and house, but not The Annex. Guest Access: Private entrance. Disabled accessible throughout, including shower. Ample parking. Access to the back garden and patio on request, due to our two friendly dogs. Interaction with Guests: We are a friendly couple, who love to make our visitors welcome, and will also respect your privacy, as you prefer. The Neighbourhood: We are in a rural village, with a small railway station, two pubs, a Post Office and garage. Perfect for walking, cycling and exploring the many local sights, Berwick village train station is only two minutes walk away, with easy access to Brighton, Eastbourne and Lewes. Ample on-site parking means you can leave your car in our drive whilst you explore by foot, bicycle, or train. Local sites include the historic village of Alfriston; Beachy Head, the Cuckmere Valley and the Seven Sisters; Charleston Farmhouse; Firle Place; and Glyndebourne, to name just a few!

The 'Seaside Annexe' is self-contained, 1 bedroomed accommodation. It is light and airy with vaulted ceilings, overlooking the English Channel and featuring an ensuite shower room, TV, rear garden, lounge & dining area, south facing deck and fully equipped kitchen. It is directly on the coastal path with secluded beaches on the doorstop and the South Downs National Park a short walk away. We would love to host you in our bright, brand new modern annex building at the foot of the South Downs Way and 20 minutes by public transport to the colourful City of Brighton and it's famous beach and pier. You will have exclusive access to this extension to our home, with your own kitchen, bathroom and access to fast wifi. We are very happy to advise on where to go, eat etc, or leave you in total peace if you prefer. Our labrador is extremely greedy and very nosey, hope you like dogs!!

Situated in a secluded part of our 16th century farm, this detached, south facing cart barn has been converted to a very high standard. In an ideal location overlooking a large duck pond and with distant views to the South Downs. It is a great base for walking the Wealdway or cycling the Cuckoo Trail. Places to explore include Lewes and Eastbourne, 9 miles. Glyndebourne 6 miles. An excellent pub and restaurant is within a ten minute walk along country footpaths. The village shop 2 miles.

Beautiful barn, perfect for walkers, also great as a comfortable and spacious base for exploring the local countryside. Local cultural attractions include Glyndebourne, Drusilla's Park, South Downs Way. This spacious artist's home is located right on the South Downs Way, and it is only about an hour and a half walk to the coast at Exceat. There is a tree house for kids, a couple of swing seats for chilling out on, and the Cuckmere runs through the bottom of the garden.
