A small hideaway place on an olive farm, with almost private access to a natural beach. The bell tents are placed within the orchard with olive & orange trees. Some spaces near or in front of the bell tent are covered by vines. This is as close you can get to nature in Greece, sounds of the waves hitting the shore and of the everpresent crickets make the feeling complete
“A wonderful, special place. We stayed for four days, which was the perfect amount -- there was so much to do in Galatas/Poros and the place is amazing. We were pleasantly surprised by the large outdoor kitchen and shared lounge space, as well as the lovely pool, and spent a lot of time chatting with our fellow travelers. The tent had everything we needed, and it was an easy walk to town. I would recommend renting bikes to get around a bit easier, and bringing lots of bug spray -- in August the mosquitos were out in full force (though none got into the tent). It was surprisingly cool at night, and we had no issues sleeping. Would come back again in a heartbeat. Oh, and we took a cooking class at Katerina's restaurant, Odyssey Bistro, which was the highlight of our trip by far. Thank you for everything!”
At 20 meters from the dreamiest beach on the island, away from the crowd, even on the most bustling days of the holidays, in a pristine pine forest, is Villa Irene Mare. Built in 1890 with full respect for the environment, since it is renovated in 2018, using the original stone, wood and adding glass, and with the latest trends in technology and design, it offers all modern amenities (Wi-Fi unlimited and free, flat TV 4K, Air-condition inverter in all areas of the house etc.)
“This place is the fine line between nature and off grid living. The living space is very well updated for comfort and adventure. The location is perfect for privacy and family time with all the amenities of home but with an off grid experience. You basically have your own private cove at a beach that is 50 feet away from the place and whom the nearest neighbors are at a significant distance away. At times in the morning there were a few mountain goats showing their presence which was another thing the kids were excited about along with the ping pong table which gave great entertainment, the greeting from the host and rep was very prompt and organized and the grill provided was very handy. I recommend your own transportation as a must and also stocking up with what you need to eat and drink for the duration of your stay from the beginning. There is a full size fridge and all the appliance's are new and modern. Visiting Poros and staying there has left us with a great impression of the wonderful lush island. ”
The apartment is located in the traditional settlement of Poros in the second row of houses offering unforgetable and amazing sea view that you will love. In a distance of 5 minutes on foot you will find supermarkets, cafes bars, restaurants, taverns, banks and everything else you need. We will be glad to host you and provide you a pleasant holiday experience.
“Wonderful apartment, with great wifi, a nice balcony overlooking the water (gorgeous view) only 10 minutes walk from the Poros ferry port. Right near an Internet cafe for if you need anything printed, quite close a grocery store + a minute away from the beautiful water/minutes away from loads of restaurants. There was a fridge with juice and water and some coffee and oatmeal plus things to eat and cook with. There was a table and couch in the cute kitchen and the bed was comfortable.”
