“We absolutely loved our weekend at Claire's. The room is bright and airy. The garden is right outside your window and makes you feel as though you are resting within an oasis. Normally we are go go go on our trips but an afternoon thunderstorm let us relax and read by the window. We watched the rain bounce off the various plants and flowers and streak down the large windows. It was honestly honestly magical; like being drawn into the flames of a nice fire. The dynamic dances that some might miss were they not paying attention... Didn't read much. It was a short storm and the garden often diverted our attention! But I digress! The room is very big as is the bathroom and kitchenette. I was able to safely do a resistance-band workout in the middle of the room and used the large wardrobe mirrors to ensure proper form. The blinds block out the light really well for those who need to sleep in a cave, but also the room is quite private for those who prefer to arise with the sun and keep the shades open. Also the ac works very well and we were more than comfortable in the oppressive (to us) South Carolina summer heat. Lastly, Claire's suite is in a perfect location. It's just a hop, skip, and a jump from downtown Traveler's Rest; which is a quaint little town with lots of little shops and some great restaurants and breweries! Not to mention the Duck Rabbit Trail is a short 10min walk/3 min bike ride from her door. The trail is super nice and great for an afternoon walk/run or, for the more adventurous, you can ride your bike all the way into downtown Greenville (25 miles or about two hours at a safe trail speed). If you have bikes, I would recommend you bring them. It's one of the better ways to get around. In fact, we often felt like the only ones who weren't riding bikes! All in all a superb stay. We hope to be back.”

“The cottage was exactly as I expected with lots of “extras” that I didn’t expect but certainly appreciated. The property is incredible. We loved everything about it. The landscaping is meticulous and there is plenty of space to play or spread out and enjoy solitude. It’s the perfect place for a writer’s retreat. It was initially just supposed to be a getaway for us, like any other. Then it became much needed change of scenery after months of quarantine. Then it became a grief retreat after the sudden loss of my mother in law from Covid just a few days before our trip. At first it felt like terrible timing for a trip. but it was exactly what we needed during such a difficult time. Thanks, Kurt, for opening your home to us. We hope to return again.”

“What a beautiful gem! On the outskirts of town you will find this beautiful property where you will be able to relax, swim, take in the beautiful scenery and enjoy the additional amenities. Perfect for families. You will also find that you are located closely to so many things to do in. Go visit some beautiful waterfalls, hike or even get on the river in the mountains. River tubing is a must! Note... bring swim shoes and pay the 5.00 extra for a paddle. It will help you navigate your tube...trust me you want the paddle. This is no lazy river, your family will have the best time! The hospitality received was far beyond anything that was expected. Absolutely beautiful family that went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable. If I could give this more than a five-starstar, I would. We will be back!”
