Solar-powered MatopHouse is a very carefully considered sanctuary. It's enveloped by a garden frequented by birds, hares, a mongoose and duikers, and has views of the distant Karkloof hills. The house is full of character (and books), and is a tranquil space in which to read, write, cook, create – and to simply "be". Set on a quiet eco-estate on the fringe of Howick, it is conveniently close to the Ambers, the Karkloof trails, the Midlands Meander, Midmar Dam, and numerous cafes and attractions.

Nestled in the leafy suburbs of central Hilton, 1.5km from St Anne’s, Cedara Way provides ease of access to the greater Midlands area and local schools. We boast an expansive garden with a swimming pool. The house is open plan with four bedrooms which sleep 8 and 2.5 bathrooms. The kitchen, lounge and living room area open onto the patio and a braai area which overlooks the pool with a table that seats 14.
