Welcome to us! Apartment Blue View in Alojera may have the most breathtaking view on the whole island La Gomera. The sun goes down right in front of your eyes from the generous terrace. As if it is not enough you can also see two other Canary Islands from your view. To the right is La Palma and to the left is El Hierro. Always new scenes every night!
“We stayed six nights (2.11.-8.11.) at Rosarios place and had a wonderful time there. Rosario is very hearty and was available almost every day (she lives next to the apartment). There were extremely friendly co-renters next to us (Uwe and Uta) too. And of course Amanda was very kind and always available and helping via messenger also. The terrace and the view were wonderful. There were two sunloungers, two deck chairs and a sunshade too. The living room and kitchen is open and spacious. The kitchen is well equipped (gas stove, fridge, toaster, water cooker, eating irons, plates, pans etc.) - the only thing we missed (a bit) was a dishwasher and an baking oven; but these things would have been a bonus of course. We were only two persons so we switched the bedroom to the one with the two single beds because the room and beds are larger there. The mattresses were extremely comfortable; we did sleep very well! There was a big and modern flat screen tv at the living room (but we never used it) and always a superb internet connection via wlan. Although the pictures aren't lying and everything looked like expected, it got a bit long in the tooth. During our stay we had a bit bad luck: The restaurant at the sea was closed, there were construction works on the street all the way down to Alojera, it was windy and raining almost every day (mostly occasional and predominantly in the evening and at night, but sometimes also in the morning). We advise everybody to shop the most of the needed groceries at tenerife. The "big" supermarket at San Sebastian is extremely ugly and the "supermarket" in Alojera is super small. There's a usable SPAR market at Valle Gran Rey and counterpart from it a good baker. You can refill your drinking water bottles at "Los Chorros De Epina" - the water tastes very good and we saw some locals refilling their bottles there too. There's a very good health food store / organic grocery store / wholefood shop at Valle Gran Rey too ("Finca Ecologica"), where we bought our vegetables, fruits, honey etc. While visiting Valle Gran Rey one should visit the "Tropischer Fruchtgarten" also - it was a great experience for us! And while the restaurant "Casa Efigenia" at Las Hayas has been a completely letdown for us (cold, unfriendly, not tasty, only one menu available - while attendant spaniards got other food! -, the menu-mojo tasted a lot better than the seperately sold one and the mango marmelade we bought too tasted a lot more like lemon instead of mango), we can recommend the food and the view at the "Mirador de Abrante" above Agulo absolutely - but be aware of a little bit inattentive waiters for the first few minutes; as we sat down and got our meals, they became extremely friendly and jokingly; and one of them even used "El Silbo" sometimes ! :-) A tip relating to a rental car, at last: Almost every contractor prohibits the use of a ferry with one of their rental cars; you will lose every kind of insurance if you do so! The only contractor we could find, allowing the use of a ferry, was T- U.I- c- a.r-s. And to finish: We recommend Rosario and her apartment definitively.”

“Elsa’s place is even better than we imagined. It’s directly at the beach - a beautiful black sand and pebble beach that is perfect to walk up and down, discover all kinds of sea creatures and just listen to the waves. During our stay (in March) those waves were quite rough though, so we went to other beaches with less rocks and more gently waves to go swimming (which is no problem since you need a car on La Gomera anyway. You should bring your own beach towels though). But also staying home is great at Elsa’s place - the terrace on the roof is sunny all day and the place to be even during the Spanish curfew due to the corona virus. Especially if you like watching sunsets ... The small restaurant next door is a nice and friendly place too that absolutely doesn’t disturb the relaxing time at Elsa’s in any way. We didn’t get to try the food, but we will see to that next time. Last but not least, Elsa is an enormously friendly host. She made sure we had everything we needed, was available for us anytime and has all the Tipps one needs.”
