Bonus #1 - meeting Lloyd the pony. The kids got a real kick out of feeding him fresh apples straight from the beautiful garden. The property was so beautiful with views of the vineyards as well as the ocean. Bonus #2 - the fireplace and all the wood that was included. We were so warm all night. We loved our stay at Lee’s place. We were able to take a walk down memory lane and Lee offered much information about Shoreham and its surrounds. The classic beach house was perfect with lovely water views and a well stocked pantry for our basic cooking needs. Lee is an excellent communicator and went out of her way to accommodate our requests. Thank you Lee for being such a hospitable host!

Set in tranquil gardens with a pool, The Studio is a perfect place for a relaxing few days. It is pristine and beautifully set up with quality appointments and designer touches that show hosts Anne and Andrew care about giving their guests a really memorable experience.The Studio is close to plenty of attractions from cafes to beaches, swimming and gourmet venues, but if that’s not your scene feel free to just relax on the deck with a coffee or a glass of wine. I certainly hope to return and would highly recommend it to anyone wanting a getaway just over an hour from Melbourne.

We had a wonderful stay at Tania’s place—just a 20-minute drive from the Peninsula Hot Springs, which was the main reason for our visit. The upstairs private room with its own bathroom was perfect for what we needed: a super comfy large bed, peaceful surroundings, and everything set up for a smooth and restful stay. We arrived late but had no issues with the private key access, and slept incredibly well—my Oura ring even gave me a sleep score of 90, the highest I’ve had in ages! Waking up to the sound of birds landing just outside the window was a special touch that made the morning feel magical. Tania clearly puts a lot of care into the space, especially the detailed and thoughtful guidebook, which we really appreciated. On her recommendation, we walked the 6km Red Hill Trail out to Merricks, and it was exactly what we were looking for—beautiful, grounding nature and warm smiles from everyone we passed. Bonus tip: Wine tasting by the fire at Stonier Wines in Merricks was a treat 😊
