“My wife and I enjoyed our stay at Beatrice's. It was easy to find and is a beautiful property. Our dog had fun running around and we felt it was very safe and private. The spacious kitchen made cooking every night easier, and the bed was comfy. Blankets and recliners made it great to cuddle up with a book and a cup of tea. We thought the oven wasn't working, but Beatrice was able to troubleshoot it over the phone (the number through the listing went to someone else who never returned my call, but another number listed at the property worked). It was a bit disappointing we were discouraged from streaming movies because of limited internet access, and the satellite TV was a bit difficult to use, but that's really as bad as it gets. #firstworldproblems Overall, beautiful setting and comfortable place for a quiet weekend getaway.”
3 kms to Historic Lighthouse Interpretative Centre, sandy beach, hiking trails, and rocky shores. We have 2 rooms, 1 with double bed, 1 with 2 single beds, if 3 or 4 travellers together we can accommodate your group (shared bathroom). We usually keep bathroom private for 2 people traveling alone. Free Wi-Fi, Satellite TV Very clean & lovely view from back deck reclining chairs. Our guests tell us that our breakfast and our view are the best many of them have experienced on their trip.
“Margie's place is a nice two-story house that backs up to a beautiful salt-water cove. The back deck is great for watching the the ducks and seagulls. Like most Airbnbs we've stayed in, the hosts (Margie and her husband) live in the house, but they were out of town for our stay and we had the place to ourselves. Margie's friend Lillian, an enjoyable conversationalist, let us in the house, showed us around it, gave us advice on what to see, where to hike in the area, and where to eat supper. (There's only one restaurant in Cape Bickerton. It's part of a general store. Lillian recommended the fish and chips made from fresh-caught Haddock, and it was exceptional!) The two guest rooms at Margie's are on the second floor. Everything was clean and tidy. We had our choice of rooms: two twin beds in one, a double bed in the other. We chose the twins, which were quite comfortable. Internet service was good. Lillian came back the next morning to fix us a delightful full breakfast we had not even remembered was part of the stay. You'll enjoy Margie's!”

“This place is truly one of a kind - the most beautiful setting - tucked away & remote, yet easy to get to. This is exactly what we were looking for (and hoping for!) and so this ticked every box. We love being outdoors and camping but I don't love being in a tent - so this place is just perfect for a rustic getaway that won't cost you an arm and a leg, but is still super comfortable and cosy. Having the campfire pit, and the indoor wood stove was perfect for our chilly October evenings and sitting out in the hammock looking out at the view really felt special. We can't recommend this place enough! Thank you Carin & Scott for sharing your magical place!”
