Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Portugal

After a week of hotel stays it was so nice to decompress in a home and do laundry! It was just the 2 of us and the space was much more than enough. A bigger party would be very comfortable. Appreciated the welcome email which included instructions on how to use all the appliances. Request- add in a true American coffee maker. The fact that the home is completely updated added to our comfort level. There are great spaces to relax and we enjoyed what the home offered and loved the showers. This location in Central Portugal is in a sleepy hood. There is a corner market but it doesn’t offer much. Arriving late, we were able to get a few essentials for our first morning such as milk & bananas. The 2 towns we decided to day trip to were Coimbra & Aveiro. Both are approximately 1 hour away. While it was a bit farther than I hoped, it was a nice chance to see the countryside & the A17 is so easy to drive. We were quite impressed with the freeways. Would consider a return with more guests!

Amazing house with spectacular views towards the sea and sunsets. Spotlessly clean and well equipped kitchen. Would not hesitate to recommend.

Candida was lovely and at check in, gave up local knowledge and tour of house, which was clean and very functional. They had a hair dryer, nice when traveling to not need your own or worry with voltage and a small space heater which was nice for our unusually cold days. There's two bedrooms, one with a comfortable bed (not too firm or too soft) and one that was a bit thinner and softer, so you have options! There was an induction stove top and microwave with a convection feature, good for warming things though probably not good for baking. The only con was unfortunately the towels and sheets are washed in a strongly scented detergent-common for Portugal but still bothersome. The location has great parking very close and free and is in a lovely neighborhood.

We felt very comfortable at the place. The entire place is very spacious, tastefully decorated. We cooked extensively over the New Year and the kitchen is perfectly equipped for this. The location is wonderful for excursions all over the island. Places such as Furnas, Sete Cidades or Nordeste are easily accessible by car. Filomena & Miguel are great hosts and welcomed us very warmly. Both were available and helpful with questions. Thank you for the great hospitality, we will definitely be back:)

Wonderful house, the ocean view and the garden are beautiful, there is everything you need (and more). A house with a soul :) Sacha was always chaking on us, so we felt taken care of. Thank you!

We had a great stay here, it was perfect for our family vacation. The house is beautiful and very well taken care of, with spacious bedrooms, a large family room and well-equipped kitchen. The garden and pool were also lovely - private and quiet and a great place to hang out. The beach and train station were both a short walk, and Estoril is well-situated for trips to Lisbon and Cascais or to explore towns along the coast. Catarina was a fantastic host and Dona Gilda helped with anything we needed during the stay.

Just finished 4 nights at this Air BNB. Would highly recommend. Host was helpful from time of booking. Very comfortable for 4 adults and a 2 yr old. Well stocked kitchen, close to metro and grocery store. Treats in the kitchen upon arrival was such a nice touch!

Luis was a fantastic host. He was very accommodating and went out of his way to make sure we were comfortable. He left a lot of information regarding activities and local restaurants. He deserves top marks as a host. The apartment is lovely. It has lots of space, great lighting and absolutely everything you will need for a great stay. The off road parking is a huge bonus. We had a lovely stay at this apartment and would return in a heartbeat.

Great location close to lots of bars & restaurants. Antonio gave us early access and met us at the apartment. He also responded quickly to our questions & checked in on us regularly. We experienced a city wide blackout on our first day & Antonio was very helpful & even offered to loan us some cash as the ATMs were down. Highly recommend!!

Lovely host and support staff everything you need when you want to get the most out of a foreign city.. Perfect location for walking to most sites. Cosy neighbourhood with small lovely street restaurants right in front of the door. Had the best time and the people of Lisbon are wonderful and chilled.

We can't say enough about this Airbnb. Our family of 4 has stayed in Airbnb's all over Europe and this one was superior in every way. The pictures are an exact match for what you can expect. This is rarely the case. The attention to detail and amenities far exceeded expectations -- from glassware, utensils and cookware to a bottle of wine, shampoo/conditioner/soap, candies on the pillows and a detailed in-person check-in to walk us through all the amenities. The neighborhood was a fantastic location, walkable to lots of restaurants, transportation and a beautiful park. Our hosts gave us a very helpful list of recommendations for things to do, sites to see, locations for the best views, rooftop bars and restaurants all over Lisbon. We checked out many of them and were not disappointed! I highly recommend staying here and would absolutely stay here again were we to return to Lisbon.

Pedro’s place was great for our last night in Portugal. Close to many amenities and restaurants. The big bonus for us was how close it was to the train station to get to the airport the morning of our flight. The apartment was clean and Pedro was very responsive. Great stay!

This is a lovely property. Brian dealt very quickly with the couple of small problems we had on arrival. A car is needed as the complex is in a spot with no pavements. Gardens, pool etc all immaculate and underground parking was great. Internet was a bit hit and miss

big and modern apartment with great views and has everything you need for a stay in the algarve. Easy walk into the old town and by car can easily visit beaches and other towns. The kids loved the pool so a big tick for families or anyone just looking to relax for a few days.

Nice apartment, very functional, beautiful view The app was not working (network problem?) at the bottom of the building upon arrival, so we waited a while at the door, unable to contact the owner to enter A little further from the beach than we understood, but very well located

We stayed for 3 amazing whole weeks and felt completely likely home. The decoration is very cozy, it has everything you need to cook, to relax, the TV is high quality, the internet works perfectly for remote work, the bed is comfortable, the house has lots of natural light with a great view. Julian is very responsive and the printed book with tips and suggestions was a great touch. The only bad part was having to leave. Very recommended!

I travel a lot and this was one of my favorite Airbnbs. The location is amazing! Right next to the beach and boardwalks along the cliffs. Small mini market only a minute away and about 10-15 min walk to Lagos town. The check in procedure was detailed and easy to do (although I was supposed to check in on Tuesday evening but my flight was delayed so wasn’t a problem to check in Wed morning) The place is well stocked in the kitchen if you want to cook like we did. The bed was super comfortable and we loved hanging out on the veranda. I thought the price was great for all that the place offered and again - loved the location for peacefulness and quiet Our host was amazing. From the moment I booked it until checking out this morning, she couldn’t have been more helpful and clear instructions on everything We were sad to leave this morning but I will be recommending this place to family and friends and gets a well deserved 5 ⭐️ in my opinion

Vladimir is a very good host. He always helped us and also gave good tips in the area. He brought an extra gift for our 3 children and us. The accommodation is ideal for families, even with the use of the indoor pool just great. The complex itself is for families 1 A. Thank you Vladimir to you and your family.
