“This is a real one-bedroom apartment, and though I only stayed a few nights I could see booking this for much longer if I had too. It's close to a supermarket so it was easy to go get and prep a frozen pizza instead of eating out. The setting is quiet and beautiful but still a couple minutes from the main thoroughfare. Note that the bedroom does not have windows—not a deal breaker for me, in fact I appreciated the extra quiet—but something to be aware of. There was instead a well marked EXIT door that I presume I would only use in an emergency. All in all, it was a great deal for the price, and a very comfortable stay.”
Brand new cabin in a beautiful valley nestled in the Southwest VA mountains. Come relax in peace and quiet. The cabin is located in a beautiful spot on our working family farm facing the north side of Walker Mountain.
“If you're looking for a peaceful place to relax away from the stresses of everyday life, I highly recommend staying at Will and Amy's cabin. This place exceeded my expectations in every regard. The view was SPECTACULAR. Pictures don't do it justice at all. The cabin was quaint and had everything you might need. From extra blankets to some books to read. The kitchen was the most stocked Airbnb kitchen I've ever seen. Everything you need to make a meal is there (other than the food of course). That includes butter, oil, condiments, and spices. Some notes: there is no cell phone service here, which is exactly what I wanted when staying, but might hinder someone else. There is TV to watch and some books and cards to play. Also, this place was SPOTLESS. Also one of the cleanest places I've stayed in EVER. It's very secluded and out of site from the road which was wonderful. I didn't get to interact with the hosts, but I did order some meat and eggs. (Highly recommend, the bratwursts were awesome!). Also another thing to note: there is a small country store down the road from the cabin but didn't really have anything I needed, just beer, cigarettes, and some snacks. I recommend being very sure not to forget anything at the grocery store rather than relying on it. Thank you Amy and Will for letting us stay. It was a wonderful time away”
Our cabin is on Route 16 otherwise known as the Back of The Dragon, near Hungry Mother's State Park, a winery and some great family owned dining. You’ll love our cabin because of the quiet serene setting, the view, and the ability to completely relax. It located near many outdoor activities such as hiking and fishing. Disclosure - Currently the access road and driveways are a gravel road. We will be paving the road and driveway July 5 - 10, 2020.
“This is a wonderful little cabin in a good location. The fire pit was stocked with firewood and there was a bag of charcoal left for the grill. The personal touches and stories of law enforcement and military members who have lost their lives were nice. I learned a lot about a person who I have never met, but was killed in the line of duty. Our 5 year old loved the military pictures and the basket of army men, and we brought one home. We went to visit family that lives locally. There is not a great deal to do in this area, but we were able to hit a local winery which was very close, Plumb Creek, which has fruit wines. There are a couple of good local restaurants. But a place like this is where you go to turn off your phone, build a fire, and enjoy hearing nature instead of traffic.”
