Eleonora was warm and welcoming upon arrival! It was a gorgeous space and a beautiful property. Eleonoras daughter was also very welcoming. The dogs are fun and kind as well as all the nature surrounding the property. It has its own private garden and washing machine (no tumble dryer but wasn’t a problem at all as given a drying rack and a clothes line in the garden). Only issue my partner and I have that is not at all Eleonoras fault is closest shops are a good 45 minute walk away but is a lovley sight in the sun. Would highly recommend this property! X

We went as a couple from Germany to Marco`s place and stayed there for five days. The communication with the host was really good, on the way we called him and already got some useful advices for the way. After we got there, Marco showed us everything in the place and explained to us the short way to an ecological farm where we got some great food. When we arrived, Marco had put some food into our fridge, so we could take a rest and refresh ourself`s for some walking in the beautiful forrest very close to the house. The surrounding and the house with its garden is very relaxing and great for hiking or sitting on the terrace, where we also cooked our food in the evenings. While we were there, Marco and his wife gave us some good advices for hiking tours. When we left, they helped us to get a good connection to Milan, since we had no car and got there by bus and train.

Very nice place, simple and functional, in a beautiful setting. It also lends itself well to guests without a car as it is a 15 minute walk from the train station and the village. We did everything on foot and by train and were able to take nice walks in the area despite the rain. We were not cold despite the cool weather, as the heating was efficient. Recommended for a stay in the area!

We had a great time at Christine's place! Everything was perfect, the room was spotless and spacious (we were with my husband and our 2-year-old daughter), the breakfasts offered by Christine were hearty and delicious, we enjoyed ourselves! Christine is a perfect host, warm, available and caring about the well-being of her guests! The house is very well located: Stresa can be reached on foot in 20 big minutes (but a little drop), but by car it is very good too and you can park in the parking lot by the lake! We will come back without hesitation!

We were looking for a quiet nice place between the lakes and not far from Milan: this seemed ideal and it turned out. Easy to find and very nicely and warmly received upon arrival. The house was in a cozy Christmas atmosphere and in the kitchen we could sit at a nicely covered and well-stocked table with plumcake, chocolates and for lunch we got lasagna. We all felt about it and we felt right at home. The house is dated but cozy and complete with all kitchen essentials including a dolce gusto coffee maker. Bed linen and towels are plentiful, fresh and clean. The lakes in the very nearby area, view from the kitchen window on the hills and mountains, Milan is easily accessible. In short, we really enjoyed it. For the children, there is a downstairs area with table tennis and foosball. The garden is large, well cared for and finished, our dog will really come next time.

Great place, Better than a hotel room. Did not have the chance to enjoyed the terrace because of the weather.

We spent some great days at Lake Maggiore at Zuzanna and Claudio's place. We felt very comfortable from the beginning, the house and the garden are very lovingly and extremely tastefully furnished. Zuzana provided us with many tips. The location is great, the lake is close, there are many restaurants nearby. However, you should have a car available.

Marisa's charming place is in a tranquil setting, with views across the valley. It was perfectly suited to our family of four - ample space, comfortable beds, a well equipped kitchen and even toys to entertain the kids. We were especially appreciative of these comforts when our stay coincided with a few days of rain - especially the radiators, warm bedding and hot showers. Our kids were particularly enthusiastic about visiting the donkeys and sheep on the property, and I loved waking to the most fantastic morning bird chorus - or perhaps that was just the morning after the rain.. We also loved the dark evenings away from street lights, a chance to see the stars, and just the twinkling of some distant homes on the hills. Our thanks to Marisa for being a kind and caring host. We had such a wonderful stay.
