Katrina’s place was situated in a very private setting. Beautifully landscaped. Check in was a breeze. Perfect set up for a family of four (or 5) given the bedrooms were on two different levels and each bedroom was equipped with a full bathroom. The place has a stunning view of the water from the living room, patio, and both bedrooms. The car ferry to Russell is only a 5 minute drive. We wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again. Thank you for hosting us :)

Well equipped kitchen, big spacious house, great for our group of 5. At least a 10min flat walk to the beach, however a beach cart was needed if taking a beach cabana and chilli bins etc. We opted for a short drive to the beach when we were going for a few hours. Nice walk up the hill through bush to get to Whale Bay which was beautiful.

Such a beautiful spot. The house was very clean and tidy on arrival. Clean sheets & towels - our large family group immediately felt right at home. There was plenty of space for our group of 12.. we didn’t feel crammed in and everyone had a very comfortable bed. The views were amazing, hosts were easily contacted and we were all very comfortable during our stay. Would highly recommend. The bucket of Easter eggs in the fridge were a lovely surprise too 🥰

Brilliant accommodation, modern , spacious and everything needed was provided. The vista from the house was spectacular with stunning views of the Bay and the surrounding nearby hills. Located very conveniently to the Village and Wharf precinct. Would recommend.

What a gem this place is! A beautiful modern and clean apartment right on the water. We had a lovely stay, despite it raining for most of the time and not being able to take advantage of the outdoor seating area or enjoy the incredible view. Russell and Michelle are such warm and friendly hosts.

Kathryn’s place was amazing! We loved our stay. I couldn’t believe how well stocked it was. Everything we needed was there. It was extremely comfortable. The hospitality was so welcoming and we felt right at home. The view and the serenity take the cake though. Not often you get ocean, mountains, pastures, cows etc all at one place. Definitely recommend.

We loved our stay at 1st Mates Quarters! Unfortunately there was a terrible storm at the time and Adelle was extremely helpful/responsive and made sure we had everything we needed. The space was an amazing set up with beautiful views! Can’t wait to go back and experience it during better weather.

Amazing slice of paradise in mangonui. Comfortable for 4 adults using the sofa bed and set up so living room can act as second bedroom. Amazing local fish and chip shop is a must. Really friendly and helpful host, able to be flexible for check in and check out. Easy to find, plenty of room to park. Loved the decks and outside shower features.

We had a lovely stay – the house was perfect for our group, with plenty of space and a great layout. It’s well-equipped, beautifully located, and the views are stunning. Despite the wild weather, it was a relaxing place to unwind. We were lucky with sunshine on our last day and made the most of the lawn, trampoline, and pool. The house isn’t a show home and could use a refresh in places, but it’s comfortable, homely, and ideal for groups. Communication was easy and everything was as described. Would absolutely stay again – I bet it's even better in sunny weather!

This is really a haven place for family. Ms Jessica was really a great and helpful host. The family really enjoyed our stay. Our dad, brother and cousins had a great time because the place was very near to their fishing spot. Dairy were just the corner walking distance which was really convenient. Overall this place is really homey, peaceful and stress free. Indeed you can say its a HOME. Thank you so much for allowing us to stay and approving our reservation plus allowing extra person which is our nephew. 🙏🏻

What a stunning place, it felt like new! We enjoyed a special family weekend at this home away from home. The games room was a hit and we loved the sunny courtyard for our evening BBQ. The street is quiet, the Marina shops a short drive away. Two bedrooms upstairs are very hot. The late afternoon sun poured in and we found it hard to sleep at night. Ceiling fans helped a little. Aircon downstairs a welcome relief! All in all a fabulous home and we’d love to stay again.

Beautiful location overlooking Doubtless Bay. Expansive water views. Back from the road so almost no noise. Slept with the windows open to the crashing of the waves. The unit we booked was a one bedroom. Plenty of space. Good kitchen. Ate breakfast on the balcony. Highly recommend this place. The stock photo on the listing does not do justice to how great this place is. This place is actually a number of units so they will assign you one of the units so perhaps that is why there is just a stock photo.

The little retreat was such a nice break from city life. Just what we needed a little bit of time out for a few days & this private, tranquil spot made it easy to disconnect from everything. The bed was really comfortable, easy oven to use, spices to use for cooking & overall a clean & tidy house. The spa pool was very relaxing. Really enjoyed learning about the history of Waipu as well, a little walk through the museum is a must do. We would love to visit again sometime soon.
