Chalet Salamandre

Enjoy the peace, the view and the comfort of this stylish chalet. Very suitable as a romantic getaway or relaxing in nature with your family. We are at 650 meters altitude, in a hot summer it is always a little cooler than in the valley and with a breeze, very pleasant. At night, the lake cools down and it's a good night's sleep. We don't need air conditioning. Dogs are welcome, €15 per stay. For the winter months there is a wood stove. The firewood is not included in the rental.

Spend time together in the open-plan living space, on the terrace for 'al fresco' dining, or picnic/BBQ on the riverbank. The pavilion sits at the bottom of rolling lawns planted with fruit trees. You can walk into Espéraza, kayak along the river or turn right for Spain! Ideal for couples, friends or family.

Our two bedroom home is situated in a quiet village near the majestic Pyrenees mountains in the region of Occitanie near Andorra, Spain and the Mediterranean. It is a place of natural beauty and tranquility with forests, streams, clean air and spring water. The nearby forests contain many animals, notably wild boar, deer and different species of birds and walking trails. Nearby are the towns of Rennes-les-Bains, Esperaza, Rennes-le-Château and several Cathar castles.

You will find yourself in the heart of the village of Lapradelle-Puilaurens in the Aude valley beneath Puilaurens' Cathar castle. You will be in this magnificent green valley, close to activities such as rafting, a tourist train with velorail and the Cathar trail. Charming spacious studio with all amenities including a garden. In the heart of the Cathar castles, we are 45 minutes from the city of Carcassonne and 1 hour 15 minutes from the seaside resorts and ski resorts. The house is located in a quiet subdivision, close to the post office, bakery, stadium, playground, convenience store. We don't accept pets as well as parties, bachelor and bachelorette parties...
