“Note- This is a positive review! My Observations Were different from My expectations I had gathered from the profile photo of the suite in the Listing. Not bad in any way shape or form; especially for the price! But good to be aware of if expectations resonate with a secluded country area stay. Listing profile photo of the 2 chairs in the backyard overlooking the woods made me feel as if this backyard area was much more secluded and private than it was. The backyard is very much open and roomy, as stated in the listing, but I was not fond of how close the other houses were to the studio suite. I thought about sitting outside to enjoy the weather for a moment or 2 but the scenery of other houses close to the studio suite; had me feeling Id find it more peaceful inside. Of course, this was a reasonably priced stay for my 3 shifts in a row at the hospital and I couldn’t ask for anything better at such a price! Vivian was very prompt to with her responses. She was friendly and has a beautiful kitty too! If you work night shifts and are a travel nurse looking to stay here for your shifts, know that check out is at 11am so make sure to put extra thought into your booking. I unfortunately am new to night shifts so when I clicked to book 25th-27th, I didn’t realize I wouldn’t be able to sleep there for the 27th until my shift at 7pm. But, regardless- the one night that I did stay there, I had noted that it was quite cool even without air conditioner and if you were too hot (my stay was a hot and a low 90s summer day) there was a very powerful fan that helped cool the suite down as well as drown out any sounds from normal daily routines. Clanking of dishes from main home had me tossing and turning but to be expected as I was trying to sleep during the day rather than the night. This was where the fan came in extra handy. But overall- Very clean space. I would Highly recommend if this is what you are looking for!!”
Hike through our organic farm to the rustic cabin. It is perfectly situated on the hill to watch amazing sunsets over the valley. Completely secluded. Equipped with solar electricity, water (bring drinking water), and essentials. Entirely off-the-grid. 20 min from the Adirondacks! Tour the barns and hopyard, hang with the barnyard animals. Relax, hike, party, or work on the farm with us. simplecooporganics
“It was a celebration of my 30th bday with my 2 best friends. It was amazing long weekend! The cabin is cute and the view... oh my god! It’s breathtaking! We’ve enjoyed cooking on the grill, not very good at it lol but it was definitely fun and more delicious with the smoke flavor! The porch with hammock swings 😍 such a nice bonus to enjoy the view! And the stars!!!! We’ve spent three night there, and first two were a bit cloudy but the third night with clear sky and so many stars!!!! I was speechless! One thing I think is a bit outdated are towels and mattress/bed linens. But then again, who needs to sleep long when you can spend all the time outside enjoying the view?)”
This guest suite has all the comforts of home. It's a comfortable walk or bike ride to the Hall of Fame, historic downtown, the Farmer's Museum and beautiful Otsego Lake. A 24-hour grocery store is around the corner and we're close to the Trolley that will take you all over Cooperstown in the summer. And it's only a 10 minute drive to Brewery Ommegang. I've rented this suite for the last four years. This is just an updated listing. I had 92 reviews and a 5-star rating, so book with confidence.
“Great stay that was exactly what we were looking for. Easy communication with prompt replies before/during stay. Check-in was easy and everything was pristine upon arrival. The location is perfect for walking to town but we really appreciated the off street parking. The bed was comfortable as were the linens. We enjoyed breakfast on the deck and especially enjoyed the visit from the cat. Easy check-out as well. Thanks Orion!”
