Kid-friendly holiday rentals in River Shannon

Just returned from spending a week at Nuala’s home. I cannot emphasize enough how incredible our stay was. If you are thinking about booking with her, don’t hesitate. Just do it! She had every amenity anyone would need for a short or long stay. She has an entire garage of outdoor games and equipment for children- bikes, dune buggy, rain/mud boots, soccer balls, golf clubs, fishing equipment, chairs, picknet blankets, and the list goes on. Her home was immaculate, and spacious for up to 7 people. She had a detailed list of all of the activities in the area. But the best part was her hospitality, the animals and sweetest dogs ever, and the location. Her home is a five minute walk to the beach, with incredible views and scenery! My children played with the family dogs everyday, we milked cows, got local eggs from the hen house every morning, fed the horses. Nuala was so incredibly kind. She treated us like family from the moment we arrived. Lots of tears shed when we left. Thank you!

The house is a beautifully kept home from home. It had everything needed and plenty of space for families. It’s only a short drive to Castleblayney. Bernard is very responsive from booking to check out and he made the visit very stress free with providing exact information needed. A lovely welcome pack was also provided on arrival. Excellent accomodation all round.

We stayed here as a group of 23 girls for a hen. The house was absolutely perfect. There was plenty of space for such a big group. The house was well equipped with everything we needed. A brilliant location so close to Kilkenny. Mary was so lovely and helpful throughout the entire process and couldn’t have done any more for us!

Beautiful peaceful setting, less than a handful of cars passed the entire stay and the nearest neighbours are out of view so just the country view for miles. The house was clean and had everything we needed. Plenty space, warm comfortable, all the kitchen utensils one might need . Check In and out was stress free, Robert provided excellent instructions to ensure we had a relaxing stay. We would stay again for sure. Thank you Robert for hosting

This was such a beautiful spot to pause on our Irish travels as we headed for the Wild Atlantic Way. The setting was so peaceful and we enjoyed a beautiful sunset as well as a homely and comfortable home space. It was a well set up cottage with ample space for our group to rest and relax.

We enjoyed our stay at Kathy's as a family of 6. It was a fab location 8 minute drive outside the town. We used a taxi once and it was €14, taxis were always available on the street and by using the freenow app. Kathys accommodation was spotlessly clean, great wifi, easy check in. Everything was amazing and the house is huge. Thanks for a great stay Kathy. We will definitely be back.

Amazing value! Kathleen's cottage was beautiful, well equipped and very clean! We loved the chess board and other games. Kathleen even had a fire lit ready for our arrival, and had a chilled bottle of wine waiting for us as a birthday present in the fridge! Would recommend to anyone, and will definitely be back again :)

Padraic’s place was the perfect location in the heart of West End, Galway. He was an excellent host who was very responsive and flexible to my needs. The unit was a great 3 bedroom that had all you needed to a visit to this lovely city. I highly recommend it and will definitely be returning.

A lovely apartment with beautiful scenery on the lough.I have nothing negative about this place and would highly recommend it to anyone looking quality accommodation, we even prefer it now more than the killyhevlin lodges.We have stayed in a few places now in enniskillen and this might just be our favorite yet.Thanks Gary for letting us stay. Barry was an excellent host and easy to communicate with. The apartment was a nicely renovated older apartment and very comfortable. The area was perfect to explore Ennis and walking distance to everything. The location was also great to get out and explore surrounding towns and areas. We very much enjoyed our stay!

2nd time staying at Stephens place and we'll def be back, great host great location

This is a really lovely apartment and we all loved it - lots of space downstairs, and 2 bathrooms and 3 toilets which was great for the 6 of us. Temperature was also perfect though i think it can also be adjusted. Everything was perfect, Michelle even provides little toiletries for each person too - as well as a good spice rack in the kitchen! There were no faults in working with Michelle or with the apartment itself.

The best place ever !!!!! I recommend with all ny heart , it's the best place to can be on pace , no body disturb you , everything clean , the bed very confortable, you can do outside the barbecue you can also fishing if you want , the place it s like paradise ,trust me !!! We had a wonderful three-day stay at Mary’s place! The surroundings are beautiful, and the location is convenient with great access to the town. The price was very reasonable for everything that was offered. Even though the weather wasn’t perfect, the hot tub and sauna made our trip so much more enjoyable — they turned rainy days into relaxing afternoons. Sitting by the dock with a cup of hot tea, watching the water, was one of the most peaceful moments of our stay. Thank you, Mary, for providing such a cozy and lovely getaway!

Cormac's place was very much central in Doolin town. I loved the house. it has 1 bedroom. and 2 more sofa bed. the breakfast items like cornflakes were provided. the place is walking distance from 3 pubs. and they have live music on the weekends. loved the house. very great location

Michelle’s place was in a great location so close to all the things in the city and just outside! We enjoyed the modern decor and the patio outside was so cute! We stayed over St Patrick’s day, so it was a bit loud outside at times, but, the place was comfy and suited our family of 5 adults well. Would book again on a return trip.

What a fabulous place to stay and use as a base for the Ennis area. Angele was the perfect host providing detailed and helpful information and recommendations. The 2-bedroom unit was immaculately clean, and stylishly furnished. Would not hesitate to stay here again ... 10/10

Me, my cousin and his two young sons stayed at Gail and Antoine's house in Garmna, right in the middle of the islands in Connemara. We had a warm welcome from the first day not only from Gail and Antoine but also from their neighbors. The house was veryclean, comfortable and beautifully furnished. The bedrooms were to a high standard and the place was veryconvenient for the fishery, our reason for coming. Antoine was extremely generous with his time and advice. We loved the pool table in the evening. The atmosphere was always relaxed and welcoming. I highly recommend anyone who would like a trulyIrish experience in beautiful Connemara. We will undoubtedly be back!

Perfect location if you want to easily reach Galway. Pauline paid great attention to every detail, and the apartment was very clean. Strongly recommended!

We had a great time at Annette's place. The apartment is very cozy, cozy and bright. It is also very well equipped. The view is splendid, and the recommendations of the hosts are to follow!
