Rural village close to several visitor attractions, Lassay les châteaux(15th century chateau ), Bagnoles de l'Orne (spa town) and Domfront ( medieval castle) . Only an hour and half from Normandy beaches for anyone interested in the museums and monuments to WW1 and 2. Are you wanting to search for the antiques? we can point you in the direction of great brocantes in our local area and beyond.

“Gîte de Pépé”, townhouse near the castle

“Le gîte de pépé” is a charming little house with an exterior. It has been fully renovated and equipped for you to have a comfortable stay. Ideal for 4, it can accommodate up to 6 people. Located in the small town of Lassay-les-Châteaux, voted 3rd favorite village of the French 2023, you will find a few meters from the medieval castle, all the useful shops as well as the tourist office. Many walks can be taken from the cottage.

Enjoy a bright townhouse with the option to park a vehicle in front of the house or in the nearby parking lot. All shops within walking distance (bakeries, butchers, tobacconists, grocery stores... see my guide), bus station and SNCF. Very well-equipped accommodation. Flexible schedule only on request except on Sundays. Refund requests for cancellations outside of the terms are no longer negotiable.

Take it easy at this unique and tranquil getaway. This house was renovated in the porch of a farm dating from 1671 with eco-materials (lime, hemp, wood). Ideally located to visit the Alpes Mancelles (8 km), the Ecouves Forest (5 km) or the charming town of Alençon (10 km). In the countryside, but not far from the village where all the shops and services are located.

The Firs

A renovated old cider barn, with plenty of original character beams. A cosy lounge and well equipped kitchen are found on the ground floor. Access to the first floor is up a spiral stair case, leading to a large open bedroom and bathroom, plus a separate Sipper bath located on a small mezzanine.
