We had a wonderful stay! The beds were super comfortable, the view of the river was beautiful, and it was so peaceful and quiet. The hot tub was a great bonus, and the hosts were very responsive and thoughtful — they even offered firewood, s'mores kits, and emergency toiletries in case you forgot anything. Check-in and check-out were a breeze, and the place was very clean. There were a few hornet nests around the property (we picked up some spray), and being near the water, there were some gnats — but nothing a little bug spray and a small fire couldn't fix! Tip for future guests: the coffee maker is a Keurig style, so bring your favorite K-cups or your own coffee setup. Also, there are caverns, golf courses, and plenty of restaurants within about 20 minutes. Overall, a great spot for a relaxing getaway!

The house was perfect for our family, which includes two young kids (under 10), for a spring break stay. The family room was beautiful and spacious, perfect for movie night evenings. We loved the screened porch for breakfast and lunch and how can you go wrong with an outdoor hot tub in the mountains?! My husband and sons played lots of pool in the basement. This house was 'lower' on the mountain than we have stayed before, but once at the house, you wouldn't know it. It was very quiet and peaceful! We didn't receive the door code automatically before we arrived, but I reached out and Kyle was very responsive and got it to us right away. The next time we visit Massanutten, we will definitely be checking out 'Peak Therapy' for availability!

We had an excellent stay here! There were many things to do in the home that kept us entertained. Highly recommend this property. The host was very responsive as well.

Overall was a great location to anyone wanting to enjoy the outdoors since the National Forest was nearby with gorgeous views! Or even enjoy all that the resort area offered! House was clean and the host was always made sure to get back to us about any questions that may have come up. Our kids loved that there was a game area as well that they could watch tv or game without having to give up the TV for the adults to watch TV.

We stayed at Karen’s on a whim. In town for the weekend to visit family, we’d normally have bunked our family of 5 at a relatives house. This time we thought we’d rent a separate space. Karen is the best, kind-hearted Host. The kind of host that makes a personal call to get you set up and make sure you have everything you need rather than leave a dusty book of rigid instructions. She’s as good as family in our humble opinion! The house is spacious, but cozy and well appointed too. Nice modern kitchen ready for quick or fancy meals! A lucky find! We highly recommend both Karen and her house!

Totally enjoyed our stay. The Homeplace was clean, well stocked and exactly as described. Justin was responsive, flexible, and accommodating. The fenced in back yard was a great amenity when traveling with our pups. Great host, beautiful location. Would definitely stay again.

The place was beautiful. It was a bit hard to find but we eventually found it. Everything was clean and even had extras of everything. The view was absolutely perfect and it was a quiet place. The rooms were a bit hot, though.

This is a gem of an airbnb! The perfect place to overnight on our journey from Pennsylvania to North Carolina. Getting there and getting in couldn't have been easier. Helen was proactive about sharing relevant information and very friendly. Though we weren't traveling with kids, I can see that this would be a perfect place for a family - providing toys and games for all ages. For us adults, we enjoyed an evening chat on the comfortable couches and restful night in our quiet, separate bedrooms. The neighborhood is lovely and feels extremely safe. Parking in the driveway made for very easy load in/out.

Nina’s place is very nice and comfortable. It’s a great value. We were traveling home with our pups after four months away and it was great for them too. There’s a good dead end side road where we could walk the dogs. It feels like you are in the country but you are still very close to JMU campus and town. Nina is very kind and responsive.

Lawrence and Sharon's place is wonderfully comfortable and very well equipped. We loved the breakfast provided, and all the other extras. It is in a beautifully quiet area. Would definitely stay again.

My wife and I had a wonderful stay. We were attending a wedding at Klines barn, and the location was perfect. The patio has a beautiful view and we were very comfortable the whole time. Would absolutely stay again.

carrie's place is very inviting and clean, also peaceful, you will hear the dog occasionally but didn't bother us, bed is comfy , bathroom is big, loved the hot hair fan. it has everything we needed.

Eric's place was great for our Girl's Weekend! Plenty of room for 2 people! Views from the house were beautiful! Additionally, Eric was flexible with our check in when we needed to get in a few minutes early! We would definitely stay here again!

Andy was very responsive and gave clear instructions. We had been at this resort a few times in the past and the unit we received was very nicely appointed and updated. We had all amenities and were super close to the indoor pool and gym. Comfortable.

Perfect location for the slopes. Ok, you don’t get the view of them from the condo but the ground/first floor location is so worth it!

We were here for a brief weekend getaway to go snowboarding with the family. It was exactly what we were looking for. It was ski in/out with only a 5-6 minute walk to the bunny slope and lifts. The bed was very comfortable.

Check in was easy and fast, no issues. The unit was nice and cozy, adequate towels, kitchen, everything. Parking was super easy with lot right off the entrance. Location is right off the ski slopes and walking distance to the lodge and restaurant. Alesia reached out before check in to make sure we knew what to do and we're good to go. No complaints, great experience!
