Peace & Quiet In A Tuscan Hill Top Discovery

Gioviano is a small quiet medieval village 25 kms from the walled city of Lucca in the Garfagnana. The house is peacful and in the heart of this beautiful Tuscan village, if you want to explore the region this is a perfect retreat for a weekend or longer. We are 50 minutes from Pisa airport on the SS12 route. The location is perfect for summer or winter. In summer you can reach the sea, in winter ski in the hills. All year round you can explore the region by foot, bicycle, motorcycle or car.

The Sound of Barga-Tuscany

Throughout the summer, Barga comes alive with many typical food fairs, music festivals and art exhibitions. The house is set within olive groves, fruit trees, and forests, with stunning views all around. The garden is perfect for dining 'al fresco' and enjoy the view and sound of the bells of its majestic cathedral. Barga is only 40 mins from Lucca, 50 from Pisa and 90 from Florence. Please note there is a 1€ tourist tax per person for the first 3 nights to be paid cash upon arrival.

Perfect accommodation for romantic couples, families with children with their dogs. Perfect place to relax but also suitable for guests who like active holiday with many exiting trekking, canyoning, mtb and horse riding excursions. Nice panoramic pool and view on the entire valley. La casa è situata in Vergaia un piccolissimo paesino sulle sponde del Lago di Vagli, l’unico gruppo di case che affaccia su Fabbriche di Careggine, l’antico borgo che è stato sommerso dalle acque del lago. Il paese è l’ideale per chi vuole staccare dalla città e per chi vuole trovare tranquillità visti i pochissimi residenti.
