Excellent spot for an on the beach getaway, walks along the beach, stargazing, hanging out on the inviting deck, and is perfect launch spot for all the surrounding bird hot spots. Bring your home comforts like coffee, tea, and shower essentials...Lazy Gator provides the fresh air and relaxing atmosphere. We loved it!

It was the best family vacation for us! The location was steps away from the beach and had everything you would possibly need. Complete beach setup with lots of chairs and umbrellas and toys! We love the natural surroundings. Not people everywhere! We will be coming next year!

Location, Location, Location! If you are a birder, this place is amazing. A very short walk to Boy Scout Woods and a 5 minute drive to Smith Oaks Rookery. Close to many more High Island Audubon sites. (Close to beaches too) Bring groceries from a larger town and you can cook your own suppers in the brand new pots and pans. The cabin is spacious with many extras. A porch with a table and 4 chairs; a washer&dryer; a card table with puzzles to try; a playpen an extra cot; a hairdryer; a barbecue. A new TV is imminent. It is quiet and peaceful and quite lovely. We stayed one month and recommend it!

What a hidden treasure! This bayhouse was surprisingly spacious and had all the essentials for a comfortable stay and it was super clean. It easily accommodated four of us, even with its tiny home layout. The view of the bay was stunning, and we enjoyed fishing every day—caught a few, too! Conveniently close to the beach, and the bayside sunsets were absolutely breathtaking. Super relaxing atmosphere overall. Check-in and check-out were a breeze, with clear instructions and quick communication. We’re already planning to make this our regular weekend escape!
