Cute and small log cottage by lake Saajuu

Cottage facilities The cottage has a kitchenette with a refrigerator with a freezer compartment, a hot plate and an oven. Dishes and tableware are provided for six people. There is a sleeping alcove with a 110 cm wide bed. The space underneath the bed is convenient for storing luggage and other belongings. In the yard, there is a separate guest house with two additional sleeping places and a storage room. Please bring your own bed linen – bed linen is not provided. Guests are responsible for the final cleaning. There is additional storage space in a chest of drawers. The living room has a dining table with benches. The cottage has a fireplace (not a heat-storing fireplace). There is a spacious terrace with a fixed dining table. The terrace has direct access to the sauna. By the lake, there is a pier, a boat and a barbecue area. The yard consists of lawn and natural vegetation. Drinking water must be brought with you. Bottled drinking water is available at the shops in Sulkava. The neighbouring cottages also use lake water as drinking water. This is therefore possible, but at your own risk. Pets are welcome! Please note that, despite cleaning, dog hair may still be found inside the cottage. There is an outdoor dry toilet (outhouse) in the upper part of the yard, next to the woodshed. Distances and nearby services The nearest shops, restaurants, cafés, pharmacy, library, gym, outdoor fitness stairs, bicycle rental and other services are in the centre of Sulkava, approximately 15 km away. Saimaa Syli - for peace lovers

When you need a complete break from everyday life, you can have it here, and everyday takes on a new meaning. An off-grid cottage gives you the opportunity to be present in the here and now. A separate summer kitchen on top of a cliff with stunning views. Gas hob and barbecue available. Running water. There is a single bed in the lean-to. The sauna room has a loft bed and a fold-out sofa bed. You'll also have access to a rowing boat and a paddle board. The hot tub is heated for a separate fee. There is a fire pit by the waterfront. This property has a lot of stairs and is not suitable for families with children.

Beautiful little cottage on Lake Saimaa

A small and beautiful cottage renovated with heart and warmth awaits those who long for a simple rhythm of life. The sleeping area is a barn, a sauna room, as well as the cottage's bedroom and living room. Beautiful views of Lake Saimaa from the sauna (3-4 people). A bay with clean water, swimming is best done from the dock. On a paddle board, boat or canoe trip, you can see a glimpse of the golden eagle. Nearby, the Kummakivi rock formation and rugged scenery on the hiking trail. Carrying water, outdoor toilet, solar power and inverter, refrigerator, gas heater.

Sauna cabin Pöllölä

Atmospheric sauna cabin on the shore of Lake Saimaa. The extensive forests surrounding the cottage offer wonderful opportunities for berry picking and mushroom picking. You can fish from the beach of the cottage or go by rowing boat to the lake. For cyclists, there are miles of dirt roads to ride. The cottage is located along the Ruokolahti canoeing route (102km). A short walk from the tree sauna to the swimming area. No running water, drinking water to be brought with you. Washing water is drawn from the lake. A rowing boat is available.

Traditions and linen

Eco-friendly cottage living on a large plot (4 hectares) with no immediate neighbours. The building is clean, fresh and well decorated with materials. You'll get a made bed with linen sheets, a cold refrigerator, and your own south-facing sandy beach. A few kilometers away is Puumala Golf, Sulkava Castle Mountain, and more to see. You can row, sauna, and grill. The building has solar power where you can charge your phone and get light in the evening. Berries and mushrooms can be collected from your own forest.

Lilla Hammar

A cozy traditionel Finnish log cabin next to a peaceful little lake. The cabin is placed beautiful calming area in the middle of forests. The cottage has sleeping accommodations for four (a sleeping loft and a sofa bed). There is a charming small kitchen, a fireplace inside and campfire place on outside, composting dry toilet and a sauna (no normal bathroom). The hot tube is available with extra charge (50e). Putkola Cottage Finland

Find your peace in a classic Finnish cottage with a sauna in the immediate vicinity of Lake Kivenkänä in South Karelia. The cottage is electrified, service water must be carried from the lake, guests must bring their own drinking water. Dry toilet. Not far from the cottage is the Kyläkuppila Käpälämäki bar, where in addition to the classic offer of drinks and meals, you can also buy basic groceries, various consumer goods, and fishing permits. Various cultural evenings are often held here.

Villa Ruoholampi Charming 65 m² cottage located in Ruoholampi, Lappeenranta, close to the LUT campus. The cottage features a small private yard and beach. For an authentic Finnish sauna experience, enjoy the traditional lakeside wood-fired sauna with its gentle heat. The beach is shallow and child-friendly. The cabin accommodates up to 4 people. (In 2026, the lake water level is exceptionally low, as is the case elsewhere in Eastern Finland. So swimming may be difficult in shallow areas.)

Villa Myllymäki

In the villa Myllymäki, built on top of Myllymäki with my own hands, it is easy to relax and get close to nature while enjoying the magnificent scenery. A window the size of the entire end wall frames the magnificent lake landscape. The farm has about 40 hectares of forest for animal grazing, which guarantees easy and fine hiking terrain. The distance to the center of Savonlinna is 10 km by car or 6 km by boat. The farm also has a private lean-to by the pond with equally stunning views.

In a modern cottage on the shores of Lake Saimaa, you can spend your holiday in a great setting. The large windows of the cottage overlook Lake Saimaa. The wood-heated sauna has soft steam and a large landscape window. The sauna has a large terrace area for lounging and cooking (barbecue and smoker). Good opportunities for fishing, berry picking, cycling, golf, skiing, etc. The year-round outdoor hot tub, rowboat, 2 SUP boards and 2 kayaks are freely available to tenants.

The atmosphere of old times by lake Saimaa

At Rantatupa by Lake Saimaa you can get into the atmosphere of old times. Rantatupa is a house built in the style of the past with modern conveniences. Rantatupa includes the main building and a separate sauna building, as well as a lots of terrace and yard. The buildings form a peaceful courtyard where you can enjoy being together and the view offered by each season. The yard is mainly in a natural state, so you may find blueberries as well as chanterelles.

Rockhouse is hand-built from local wood. The cabin is a warm cabin equipped with amenities on a rock in the middle of nature and forest animals. The terrace overlooks about 4 km from the lake in the direction of the sunset. Separate landscape sauna and glazed atmospheric barbeque hut on the terrace. The cottage is perfect for a couple and very good for a small family. Big deck around the house. Part of the deck glazed. Your own well water is drinkable.
