House holiday rentals in Russell

It is not 5 star accommodation but it did not say it was. It was clean and things worked. Great value for a group of friends travelling. 2 night stay sitting on the deck in the evening, the view of the falls and below was great. We ate at the manor a couple of minutes' walk away and enjoyed Karoke. Second night we made dinner. What was important to us? a) 8 of us can stay together b) keeping cost down c) clean. We will come back in again on the next trip in 2026.

This home is awesome, so close to everything and has everything you need. Unfortunately, the pool heating wasn't playing ball but we were able to take advantage of the spa.

We can’t wait to come back here. We were four couples, two young children. The house and facilities gave everyone plenty of space to relax and enjoy time together. It’s a great space with plenty to do.

We had a great stay at Christinne’s place… she was very helpful, gave us some great recommendations and the accommodation was perfect! Very clean, very spacious and an amazing location. 10/10 will come again

Highly recommend this fabulous place, clean, quiet and easy walking into town. Accommodation is well suited for 8 visitors. Loved the three bathrooms, plenty of towels and easy to book and use the shared facilities, pool, spa and bbq. Thank you Olivia, we will definitely be back.

We had a fantastic time at Margaret’s place in Kerikeri. The place was spotless, well-equipped, and had a cozy, welcoming vibe. The location was perfect—close to local cafes, shops, and stunning nature spots. The host was incredibly friendly and responsive. Highly recommend to anyone visiting the Bay of Islands!

Blown away by location and beautifully presented home, complete with all the bells and whisltes. Loved that we had access to plenty of beach toys, games and books. Did not need a thing. Felt right at home after travelling 800kms. Perfect size for a big whanau who love the beach. The sunrises and sunsets are stunning.

Francine’s house is located at a quiet residential area,five minutes drive to restaurants and shops. the rooms and bathrooms are specious, the deck is overlooking at a beautiful view of the forests very relaxing.Thank you Francie for your prompt response and the late check out. Francie we had a good time at your home however the stairs at the entry were challenging for my husband as he had difficulty going up and down the stairs, not suitable for people with disabilities. I should have checked that out .Highly recommend if the stairs are not an issue.

Stunning week away over Easter. We arrived a few hours after a cyclone, which meant no power and water. Anneke was great with all communication about the situation. We chose to stay hoping the power would be back on soon. The next day it was. Meanwhile, Anneke bought us wine and coffee and then arranged a generator so we could shower and charge phones etc. Then we had six glorious days of sunshine with the odd shower. We love walking, so explored all the local walks in the booklets and info guide. Every afternoon we relaxed on the deck just watching the ocean and boats. We ended our days with an outdoor bath, which was Devine. Anneke was a wonderful host. A true legend. The Bach was beautiful, clean, new and private. Highly recommend.

We had a wonderful stay at Staffa Bay! A beautiful place to be able to holiday at and we thoroughly enjoyed the home and easy access to the beach. Nice view and peaceful spot! Hosts were great with their communication and very helpful in making sure our stay was a good time.

We had a lovely stay at this modern home in Glenbervie, Whangarei. The house was warm, clean, and had everything we needed for a comfortable visit. It was conveniently located close to my mum and dad’s place (which is currently on the market), making it easy for us to catch up with whānau. The setting was peaceful and quiet, with beautiful views of nearby farmland — we really appreciated the rural feel while still being so close to the Tikipunga town centre. Communication from the host was excellent throughout the stay. Would definitely recommend this spot and would happily stay again!

Whilst it is a modest home, it has everything needed for an affordable, relaxing and enjoyable time away. Couple minutes walk to a lovely beach, kiwi and other native birds literally across the road, host guided us on the first night and was full of knowledge. A real treat that the kids (and parents) really enjoyed. House has all the amenities you would expect. We self catered and had all we needed. Good shower, washer & dryer, good deck with sea views, comfortable living area and comfy beds. Really was great value for money and would happily stay again. If you want 5 star there’s plenty in the area at 5 star prices, but this place offers fantastic bang for buck (save dollars and use for a tour or activity). I stayed here a few days after my wedding with my husband, 2 small children, parents and siblings. The house was amazing, especially the view of the ocean from the deck. The place was clean, nicely decorated, well stocked and Kirsty communicated really well. She even left us a card and bottle of cava to celebrate our wedding! It was private but a 3 min drive to central Russell. The driveway was steep but easily fit our 4 cars. We cannot fault our stay at all and I would definitely stay here again. We saw fantails, Tuis and weka and the garden was beautiful.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! It was a beautiful house in a stunning location. It was nice opening up all the doors in the morning with the sun beaming in. The kitchen was well-equipped - and it’s only a few minutes drive to local eateries. A perfect getaway :)

amazing accommodation, the house has everything you need even for a longer stay. Good beds, mosquito nets, everything clean. Nice and helpful hosts. We spent a wonderful three weeks. Beaches close by by car, for example Matapouri, I think one of the most beautiful.

The house was immaculate and beautifully presented in a tranquil bush setting. Sophie even made sure the Easter Bunny was able to get access which made for some fun egg hunting on our arrival. 🐣

The house is absolutely beautiful and exceeded our expectations. The views are stunning and we loved every bit of it. The weather wasn’t on our side this time around so we hope to come back and experience this beautiful home in summer. Simon and Angie were very kind and helpful throughout our trip.

We loved staying at Tapeka View. Lovely place. Beautiful interior design. Amazing views. Well equipped kitchen. Comfy beds. But unfortunately no spa for us as the spa pool in the photos belongs to a different unit.
