The Cottage in East Poultney

The Cottage is located in historic East Poultney next to the old Poultney schoolhouse (now historical society). Slate Valley hiking/bike trails surround the area. About 1 mile to the town of Poultney, which has stores, shops, restaurants and a Pub. The sidewalk starts in front of the cottage which leads directly to town. Great for a walk, jog or bike ride. Pico, Killington and Bromley Mountains all less than an hour drive. 3 miles away from Lake St Catherine and under 10 miles to Lake Bomoseen.

Stay with us if you’d like to be in the center of downtown Castleton. Stores, restaurants, the college and hike/bike rail trail are an easy walk. This is a very convenient location. We are also a short 30-40 minute drive to Pico and Killington ski areas. Five minutes to Lake Bomoseen. Recently updated, heat and AC, full bath, Wi-Fi, Qled tv, a comfortable king sized memory foam bed, a complete kitchenette. Reserved parking adjacent to entry. The East Cabin is quietly tucked between the beautiful Green Mountains of VT and the gorgeous Adirondacks of NY. Soak up the morning sun on your private stone patio while mother nature comes to life on the pond and fields. Take a day trip to beautiful Lake George or Historic Saratoga Springs. Grill steaks on BBQ and eat S’mores by the campfire at night. For the winter season, there are many major ski resorts close by. We also have the West Cabin available for your extended family and friends.

A Frame style home with 100 + feet of lake frontage. 2 bedroom plus a loft bedroom with 2 twin beds. 1 and 1/2 baths and large open basement A-frame style home on a small, quiet lake in upstate NY in the town of Hampton/Whitehall, NY (not on Lake George), 5 miles from the VT border, 33 miles from Lake George village, with a screened in porch, a large deck, and a grill provided (new grill 2025). Bright, secluded, second floor one room suite with private bathroom overlooking Mill River and across a covered bridge. No neighbors visible, but near town. Fly fish in the back yard, sit around the firepit, enjoy fall foliage, and hike and ski. Swinging bridge and Appalachia long trail very nearby. Close to three ski resorts: Killington, Okemo, and Pico. Dogs are welcome and loved, with plenty of room to run. Comfortable queen-sized bed and couch.

This historic property has been in existence since 1832 and has been lovingly maintained with a backdrop of the Adirondacks beyond the picturesque pasture. This one bedroom apartment is located downstairs in the two story duplex.
