Places to stay in Boulder

Places to stay in Boulder
Enjoy a private wooded get-away for two with wood burning stove, indoor dining/cooking area with a Coleman 2-burner propane stove, sleeping loft, outdoor fire pit w/seating area and an outdoor propane gas grill. NO electricity or running water. A move up from tent camping - bring your food & ice. No need to bring water unless you want to. We have a deep well. Sleeping cot available for an extra guest. There is also extra room in the sleeping loft next to the full size mattress for a child.
Just like camping - only better! No tent to set up. Get away from it all in this quaint little one-room cabin (8' x 10') nestled in the woods on 8.5 acres just outside the Indian Peaks Wilderness and Brainard Lake Recreation Area in the Colorado Rocky Mountains. Only a short scenic drive from Boulder, this tiny house sits at approximately 9,500 feet elevation and is a perfect base camp for a weekend of snowshoeing and skiing (winter months) or hiking/biking (summer months). It is located off of Brainard Lake Road. For winter access you will need 4-wheel drive. During the winter, parking is near the entrance to our property (closer to the main cabin) and guests need to snow shoe or ski in the remaining 100 yards. Of course, winter hiking (also known as "post-holing") is also an option. You will need to backpack or sled your gear/supplies into this little cabin. We have two sleds rigged up for you to use. Play all day in Indian Peaks Wilderness, Brainard Lake Recreation Area, Estes Park, Rocky Mountain National Park or any of the dozens of nearby attractions and then retire to this peaceful little haven where you will enjoy the wood burning stove's warmth and a pot of tea or glass of wine as you relax, journal, read, write, paint or just daydream. In the warmer months enjoy the intimate outdoor “living area” including cushioned Adirondack chairs encircling an outdoor fire pit. Cook out on the grill and enjoy dining outdoors at the huge rustic table with stumps and stools for seating. This knotty-pine interior cabin is heated by a wood-burning stove only -- but it gets REALLY warm! Please be sure to crack a window for proper ventilation. We provide fire wood but ALWAYS appreciate when guests bring a small firewood bundle to help supplement our supply. It has a small cooking area with Coleman 2-burner propane stove and a well-equipped galley. There are pots, pans, a tea kettle, cooking utensils, cups, bowls, plates, silverware, knives, wineglasses, bottle & can & wine openers. There are paper towels, dish cloths, and cleaning supplies. We have complimentary tea and hot chocolate. A small convertible dining table can be raised to provide more floor space for cots (we have two cots available with bedding, or bring your own) or an air mattress to accommodate children and/or pets. This sleeping arrangement is in addition to the sleeping loft. Climb the ladder to the sleeping loft furnished with a full mattress (sleeps two) covered with blankets, comforters and lots of pillows. Help yourself to fresh, clean water from our deep well at the spigot at our main cabin. We provide a 5-gallon blue, plastic camp style water container. A convenient and clean outhouse is available a short distance from the little cabin.
The Brainard Lake Recreation Area - offers an extensive network of hiking, mountain biking and in the winter, cross country skiing and snowshoeing trails right out your door. Indian Peaks Wilderness – high alpine peaks are easily accessed and only a short distance away. Peak to Peak Highway – enjoy a scenic mountain drive or a spectacular road bike ride (particularly in the fall with the golden aspens at their peak). Ward – Enjoy a surprisingly wonderful meal and the intimate atmosphere at Marrocco's Restaurant (yummy pizza!!) and check out the local art gallery, The Glass Tipi, both located right in the center of this tiny, eccentric, old mining town. Allenspark – (13 miles) enjoy local mountain flavor with horseback riding, small cafe, pizzeria, community center, and antique store. Allenspark has its own riding stable and the Fawnbrook Inn, a 4-star restaurant for fine dining. Wild Basin (17 miles) and Rocky Mountain National Park (33.5 miles) - At the doorstep of the Rocky Mountain National Park, you can enjoy a variety of activities all year round -- from leisurely hikes to vigorous mountain climbing, horseback riding, fly-fishing, snowshoeing, downhill skiing, ice skating, cross-country skiing, sledding, sleigh rides and more. Eldora Ski Resort (18 miles) – just down the road from the town of Nederland -- enjoy downhill skiing, snowboarding, Nordic, alpine and cross-country skiing, as well as snowshoeing. Boulder Canyon - rock climbing, swimming, kayaking and fly fishing. Black Hawk and Central City (31 miles) – visit these historical mining towns and check out the casinos. Boulder (32 miles) - The progressive town of Boulder itself is 17 miles down the canyon road, and offers a large variety of shopping, restaurants and the famous Pearl Street Mall. Estes Park (36 miles) - this tourist town serves as the gateway to Rocky Mountain National Park with loads of shopping, dining, and other attractions. Nederland (13 miles) - a unique mountain town with a variety of restaurants, coffee houses, shops and live music venues, as well as a great visitor center and mining museum right in the heart of town.

  • Very cute and cozy space, lots of cooking utensils and cute lanterns/candles. Definitely recommend snowshoeing some of the trails. The Bench trail was short and sweet and 100% worth the view.

New apartment, a half mile from Boulder, 10 minutes to Pearl Street. This close in mountain retreat has great mountain, valley and sky views through two large windows. Studio area has a queen bed (and a single floor mattress), fridge, microwave, hot plate, and sink. Outside the studio's French doors is a sitting area with more spectacular views, and a separate bathroom. Wood floor in studio, tile throughout, private entry. Quiet. A great place to relax and get away from it all.
The entire apartment is about 400 square feet--ample space for 1-2 people. The view makes it feel much bigger. New tile shower with glass door is large and clean. There is a reading area both in the studio, and just outside of it. Both can be used as eating spaces. The studio itself can be closed off (with French doors) and made more private by drawing the curtains. Bathroom and sitting area are separate from the main studio area. The sitting area itself has its own mountain view. During spring/summer/fall there is a private outdoor patio for the apartment. During winter you should have either an all wheel drive or front wheel drive vehicle with good snow tires--just the usual Colorado winter advice!
This is a unique neighborhood because it is 1/2 mile from Boulder, and just on the other side of the first low mountains ("Dakotas"). This house, the third driveway you will come to, is built into the side of the mountain with views of the entire valley. Our road itself is a short dirt road. When it snows, you may want an all-wheel drive vehicle (like everyone else around here except me! I have a front wheel drive vehicle). It looks a little like Switzerland up here, I am told. This neighborhood is unique because it is one of only six homes on the entire street, and we are as close to town as you can be without being officially in it.
  • great spot thoughtful touches - all the small things you might need on a stay clean

  • My wife and I were here for a work trip and staying at Marc’s place was fantastic. The view was absolutely stunning and the place was super cool. Marc also communicated very well and was there for us for anything we needed. I’ll definitely stay here again on our next trip.

    David2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • Marc’s place is perfect for two people. It’s a great location with an amazing view. It’s very close to the city and close to hiking trails. Getting in and out was convenient. The driveway is steep because the house is in the mountains but the check in/out process was easy and fast. Marc left snacks for us and drinks in the fridge! Our only complaint was the pillows - they could use updating. But I would recommend Marc’s place when staying in Boulder!

    Marisa2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing view with awesome hospitality and great value. Marc is a great host and even did something special for us to help celebrate our special occasion.

    George2020-02-20T00:00:00Z
  • Marc's place was a great place to stay for a weekend visit in Boulder. The location has great access to the mountains and to town and a lovely outdoor seating area that was perfect for morning coffee. Thanks Marc!

    Tim2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • We went to Marc’s for the weekend and had an amazing time exploring Colorado. But one of the beat parts was coming back to our airBnB and seeing the beautiful view from Marc’s place! Would definitely recommend staying here if you’re looking for a Mountain View place!

    Barrett2020-01-12T00:00:00Z
  • This place is beautiful! Would definitely recommend staying here. Super close to Everything and easy to access.

    Ben2020-01-04T00:00:00Z
  • Incredible location so close to everything downtown, but also remote enough for some privacy in the mountains. Marc was very helpful with providing ideas of places to see around boulder or hikes to take. The back yard of his home was so much fun to explore! We will be back.

Please also see sister studio, https://www.airbnb.com/rooms/23565941. This half cabin is a great retreat just six miles from downtown Boulder. It is tucked along the walls of Boulder Canyon making it an ideal location for fly fishermen, rock climbers, hikers, and nature enthusiasts. The setting is wooded, and Boulder Creek is easily accessible from the cabin. We welcome guests from all backgrounds and orientations. And we love to share our beautiful state with international visitors!
We offer an inviting studio in a duplex cabin with complete kitchen, queen bed, bathroom with tub/shower, and fireplace. The cabin is divided into two private studio apartments, each with its own entrance. There are three cabins on our property. We live in the first cabin, so we can answer guests' questions and quickly attend to guests' needs.
The cabin is in Boulder Canyon, which is a magnificent natural attraction connecting the plains with the peaks of the Rockies. At the entrance to the canyon is a park featuring enormous red rocks tilted vertically with spectacular views of the Boulder Valley. The Boulder Creek Path, popular with cyclists and hikers, follows the creek for several miles in the canyon. A couple miles above our cabin is scenic Boulder Falls and the dramatic cliffs of The Narrows. Popular destinations for rock climbers are throughout the canyon.

The cabin has everything you need and more including a lovely fireplace and local Boulder goodies! We loved our stay here and we would love to stay again!

  • What a great getaway from the city! Short drive outside Boulder easy to get to. Great instructions on how to get there. Very quick responses from the owners even last minute so kind and hospitable. Checkin and checkout was a breeze. The wood fireplace was a nice touch that made the cabin cozy. Bed was super comfortable I got great sleep. Everything was super clean and it went very well will be back again soon!

  • This was a fantastic stay in an absolutely beautiful cabin. We loved the location –– secluded, but still conveniently close to downtown Boulder! The cabin was filled with thoughtful touches that really made us feel welcome. Plus, Lupa the dog was the best possible way to be greeted upon arrival ;) The fireplace creates a super cozy atmosphere. Plus there's heating in the cabin and blankets if needed. We already want to come back! We were so impressed with the friendliness and thoughtfulness of our wonderful hosts and would recommend this spot to anyone headed to the Boulder area!

    Megan2020-03-05T00:00:00Z
  • Had wonderful time at their beautiful cabin. Cynthia took the time to make us a welcome card and had a goody basket ready for us. Very beautiful location, we even got lucky and had fresh snow waiting for us on our first night.

    Gilberto2020-03-03T00:00:00Z
  • The cabin is really cute and super cozy! The bed is firm but very comfortable. Little touches are great, fully stocked kitchen with really nice kitchenware and cooking utensils. Cynthia is a first class host with lots of great tips on places to go and things to see. Highly recommended for a relaxing getaway.

Enjoy our cozy alpine mini-chalet - hiker hut/skier shed. Relax in charming décor and great outdoor hang-out spaces. Dogs & children welcome! A wood burning stove keeps you toasty warm. Cook indoors or out. Climb the ladder to the sleeping loft full size bed. Hang out in your own private outdoor rec area with a fire pit, chairs & dining set up. A move-up from camping - bring your food and ice. No electricity/no running H20. Good well water provided. Cots/air mattress available for extra guests.
For winter access, 4-wheel or all wheel drive is recommended -- depending on how recently it has snowed or whether snow is in the forecast. During the winter, parking is near the entrance to the property and guests walk a short distance to the chalet. This cozy converted shed is an off-grid, quaint mini-chalet complete with Swiss fondue pot! It is one-room measuring 10' x 12' with a sleeping loft above. There is NO running water, indoor plumbing or electricity. Battery powered candles and lanterns provide lighting. The mini-chalet is NOT situated in a private setting as there is another bigger cabin very close by that is also an Airbnb rental. However there is a private hang out area with its own fire pit and outdoor dining set up (located a short walk past the outhouse) where you can relax in your own designated space. The knotty-pine interior mini-chalet is heated by a wood-burning stove that guests operate themselves. We provide wood, cardboard/paper, matches, and lighter fluid. It does not have electricity or running water. There are several battery powered lanterns and battery powered candles plus special lighting throughout the mini-chalet. Guests obtain water from a spigot at our main cabin using a 5-gallon camp style water container. The water is from our deep well. There is a well-equipped kitchenette with a Coleman 2-burner propane stove. There are pots, pans, a tea kettle, French press, Swiss fondue pot with forks and sterno fuel canisters, cooking utensils, cups, bowls, plates, silverware, knives, plastic wine glasses, bottle & can & wine openers. We provide paper towels, dish cloths, and cleaning supplies. We offer a selection of teas and hot chocolate as well as spices/seasonings, salt & pepper, popcorn, sugar and cooking oil. Guests climb the ladder to get to the sleeping loft which comes furnished with a full-size mattress, pillows, sheets, blankets and comforter. There is space for a third person to sleep on a sleeping pad as well. If more beds are needed we can provide up to two cots or two twin size air mattresses, plus all of the pillows, blankets and comforters needed. A convenient and clean portable toilet/porta-potty is just a few steps away from the mini-chalet. Nearby is a short path leading to the private outdoor fire pit area and outdoor dining table and chairs (for 4 people). A round galvanized metal stock tank is used to cover the fire pit and put out the fire. Play all day in Indian Peaks Wilderness, Brainard Lake Recreation Area, Estes Park, Rocky Mountain National Park, Boulder, or any of the dozens of nearby attractions. Then come home to this peaceful getaway where you can relax, cook a meal, build a fire, make smores, drink a glass of wine (or hot chocolate), journal, read, write, paint or just day dream. This property is a wooded 8.5 acreage just outside Indian Peaks Wilderness and Brainard Lake Recreation Area in the Colorado Rocky Mountains. This property is a 35 minute drive from Boulder and 50 minutes from Estes Park and Rocky Mountain National Park. The property sits at 9,500 feet elevation and is a perfect base camp for snowshoeing and skiing (winter months) or hiking/biking/exploring (summer months). It is located off of Brainard Lake Road. We provide two pairs of snowshoes -- free of charge -- to your guests during their stay.

  • Joleen’s property is an amazing escape into the woods (while still being close enough to Ned for any shopping you need to do before or during your stay). Staying at the Mini Chalet was the perfect balance of feeling like we were camping “off grid” while still having great amenities and comforts. Joleen was the most gracious host and we look forward to returning. Notes to future travelers: Make sure to read thoroughly all of the information that Joleen provides in order to be best prepared. Especially about having a 4WD or AWD vehicle with snow tires! Make sure to check the weather and also be extra prepared because it snowed almost a foot more than the forecast was projecting (even in Mid-March). If a snow storm is coming in make sure to stay in contact with Joleen about when the roads will be plowed. That being said, it is the perfect place for those looking to stay at a cozy place in the woods! I would highly suggest taking a drive just a short ways up the road to Brainard Lake Recreation Area. It’s an absolutely beautiful area!

  • Place was awesome and cute

    Sebastian2020-03-18T00:00:00Z
  • I’d stay here forever if I could. The hike to the Mountain View is sensational. I want to come back in the summertime but even in the winter it really wasn’t as cold as I expected. It was such a good time. Cooking on the grill, build a fire, hang out and relax.

    Taj2020-03-17T00:00:00Z
  • The mini-chalet is perfect for a getaway, it’s very warm and cozy and the night sky looks like a black sheet full of glitter, our stay was perfect!

  • Beautifully decorated & rustic. Perfect woodsy getaway. Loved the hot cocoa, coffee, cooking supplies, games and all the thoughtful touches. Would absolutely stay here again.

  • This was exactly what my daughter and I needed. We are both full time college students and we were worn out. Jo and Lindsey gave us exactly what we needed for 4 days. I feel so much better and ready for graduation. I hope to be back in the fall with my hubby. Wonderful experience and it went beyond my expectations.

    Dylan2020-03-14T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful place with a beautiful view. Would definitely stay here again.

    Colette2020-03-11T00:00:00Z
  • Isaac's place was even better than my girlfriend and I imagined it would be! If you are from a city like Houston, the drive once you get out of Boulder and into the mountainous, canyoned roadways, was one of my favorite experiences! The views up in the Sugarloaf area of Boulder were simply amazing! We could have stayed in with groceries every day and been perfectly content. The morning views were beautiful for eating breakfast out on the balcony (we were fortunate enough to have amazing weather all 5 days of our stay). Everything mentioned on the listing was as advertised and did not disappoint! We want to try to come back next year since we enjoyed it so much! Kurt & Raechel

    Kurt2020-03-10T00:00:00Z
  • Isaac’s place is nothing short of breathtaking. The views from the private balcony were phenomenal and was exactly what we wanted as out-of-state guests. We lucked out with the weather(sunny and in the 50’s) but awd vehicles are a must to navigate up the unpaved terrain to get to the home. Also make sure to buy some snacks or food prior to checking in. The location is about 20 minutes outside of Boulder city so you definitely want to plan accordingly. We we’re under the impression it would be easy access for an Uber pick up or delivery service but found that we had to drive back down the mountain into Boulder City to eat. Do NOT let this discourage you (just make sure you get some food prior to checking in)!! The hosts are super accommodating and the views are something that made our stay even more memorable. So glad we chose to stay here for our trip and definitely would recommend it! :)

    Marisa2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful studio with amazing views! This place way exceeded my expectations. A couple minor things to be aware of: There might be a residual smell of pot (I suppose not surprising given it's Colorado) — bring air freshener or a scented candle if that will bother you. Also, you definitely do need a 4WD to get to the top of the driveway: we tried in a sedan and failed, but luckily there was space to park at the side of the road further down and we hiked up the driveway on foot. But overall this was a stunning place, wish I could stay longer!

    Jeff2020-02-25T00:00:00Z
  • Really enjoyed our stay. Beautiful little guest house with awesome views! Bed was a little hard but we got used to it. We drove to Boulder frequently and the views driving through the mountains were AMAZING. Highly recommend this place!!

No extra charges for this bedroom with a private deck nestled by the mountains next door to Eben Fine Park and Boulder Creek. Trails in 3 directions, a few steps from my door. Walk to Pearl Street Mall, CU and Chautauqua.
A comfortable bedroom with a great bed in a quiet neighborhood next to a park surrounded by trailheads. The bedroom includes a private deck and a full size bed. On spring and summer evenings, you can hear Boulder Creek through the window and enjoy the cool canyon breeze in the evenings (like a sea breeze).

  • Really awesome! In a great space and super cute house. Stewart was chill and accommodating.

    Machiah2020-03-17T00:00:00Z
  • Stewart’s home is welcoming, cozy, and your perfect home away from home. Take two steps out the front door, and there you will see the mountains sculpting the Boulder landscape. A 20 min walk from Pearl St and other desirable businesses. Stewart was hospitable, kind, and everything an Air BnB host should be. You won’t regret booking with him.

    Victoria2020-03-11T00:00:00Z
  • For a cheap daily fee we were well accommodated and we'll situated a shirt walk from multiple hiking trails, a museum, and a nice local hub in Boulder. You can also rent a car for a day and drive up to a national park about an hour away, just the scenary during the drive is beautiful to behold. Stewart was easy to contact, easy to converse with, and has an expansive book collection. If you're interested, I'm sure he'd love to engage and converse with guests.

  • Stay here if you want southern hospitality & expect to be gone all day! Literally coming to his home was like staying at a family’s house, but sooo much cleaner and feeling like you have your own space :) ! Not convinced? Located at the edge of the street, where the trail begins & the Breakfast table faces the mountain for breakfast views you won’t believe !

Come visit Boulder and be close to Pearl Street, the University of Colorado and great trails for hiking and biking. Our apartment has a queen bed, huge double shower and a shady porch.
We have a newly remodeled 600 square foot garden level apartment in the best location in Boulder. Have your own little private getaway in the heart of Boulder.  We are located in the historic Whittier neighborhood, known for its beautiful Victorian architecture, proximity to the vibrant restaurants and independent shops of Pearl Street and quiet family atmosphere.  The tree-lined streets will make you feel at home in all four seasons but are especially spectacular in the fall. We have a private garden level one bedroom apartment that we recently remodeled. It has a full kitchen, new shower with double shower-heads and a large bedroom with a super comfortable queen bed.  There is a large shady backyard with a covered porch ready for an afternoon drink or morning coffee. The need for a car is extraneous in this neighborhood because everything you need or want is in walking distance.  From world class restaurants like Frasca to family friendly restaurants like Pasta Jay's; Pearl Street (which is only four blocks away) offers so many different food possibilities.  But in the other direction, (also only a couple of blocks away) is a Whole Foods, Target, and the 29th Street Mall. University of Colorado is just over a mile away and the Bolder Boulder runs within blocks of the house. The location really can't be beat! The public swimming pool is only a block and a half away as well as a plethora of good parks.   In the spring, summer and fall, the Boulder Farmers Market not only sells the freshest produce but also fresh coffee, street food and other delectables. Speaking of coffee, Boulder has excellent coffee and there are about ten coffee shops within about a ten minute walk.  So during your stay, you could try a different coffee shop each day without leaving the neighborhood. There is a washer, dryer and dishwasher in the apartment.  There is wireless connection in the house as well as a large screen TV with wireless hook-up. Come visit Boulder!
Our neighborhood is quiet even though we are only blocks from tons of entertainment, food and shops.
  • Fantastic experience! The place was spotless, lots of little touches that made it feel like home and great location. And I don’t know what magic soundproofing they did, but it was so quiet. Overall I highly recommend!

  • Very affordable place to stay only a few blocks from downtown!

  • Suzy's place is great! It is comfortable and cozy. The location is fantastic - within walking distance to Pearl St and several stores, but the immediate neighborhood is quiet, charming, and pretty. Had a fantastic stay here and would highly recommend it.

    Jeremy2020-01-16T00:00:00Z
  • Suzy’s place was awesome! There were a lot of unexpected surprises, such as a two-headed shower, the most comfortable airbnb bed I have encountered, and Suzy restocked my detergent and paper goods during the stay. Suzy also responded quickly to all messages. I really enjoyed my stay, and would definitely return!

    Gen2020-03-16T00:00:00Z
  • Great location, easy to get to all of the shops and restaurants on Pearl street. Ryan provided easy to follow instructions on how to locate the parking spot and the unit. We had a great one night stay!

    Ashley2020-03-05T00:00:00Z

Savor incredible views of Boulder and the Front Range through floor-to-ceiling windows by the fire, then relax in the hot tub on the spacious deck. Admire masks and rugs from Africa and art from Brazil and all over the world at this eclectic retreat. Split level, garden entrance, with 2 bedrooms, a loft, an outside king bed, and large open spaces to sit by the fire, or watch the birds of Colorado fly over the front range.
This is an opportunity for you to stay at one of Boulders unique properties. Located on a short cul de sac, it has incredible views of the front range & Boulder. It's just minutes from CU & Downtown. It has a very open floor plan, with 3 bedrooms; a king; a queen; and a king and single in the loft (plus a king on the deck). Elsewhere, there is a collection of art from around the world. Fully furnished, with tasteful touches like granite counters, travertine & slate flooring; masks and rugs from Africa; art from Brazil & elsewhere; and a huge deck. Best of all is the view. Huge picture windows and a huge deck open out to a view of the front range from Boulder to Lyons. There's not a better view or location in Boulder. There are no cars or people walking by. All this just a short distance from CU & downtown. To clarify; the entire building is about 6000 square feet, with 3 apartments. The top part of the building is what we're talking about; the bedrooms on the level below are also available for an additional charge. The building is well insulated, and the entry & top floor is private & separate. The top apartment has its own garden level entry, its own garden & its own huge deck. I live in the lower space, and am often out of town / out of the country-; I have an eco-lodge in Africa amongst other things. Keywords: apartment, house, beautiful, mountain, downtown, university, natural, home, nature, chatauqua, university hill, pearl street, boulder, flagstaff, romantic, private, garden,
The house sits on a quiet cul-de-sac in a pretty part of Boulder, nestled against the foothills. Walking trails, downtown, and The Hill are within easy reach, whether by bike or on foot. There is no traffic, and it's very private. Walk 3 blocks to the Alpine Modern cafe; or take an uber 2 minutes to the Pearl st mall.
  • Greg’s place in Boulder was excellent! He was communicative, very considerate and morning views are stunning! Super well located and easy to access Boulder/Denver downtown without trouble.

    Kegan2020-03-12T00:00:00Z
  • Very rarely does the Airbnb on its own make a trip absolutely special. This house had everything you could hope for and more. My friends and I will remember our Boulder/Denver trip forever partly because of this special place. Greg was incredibly accommodating and available, even despite him being out of town while we were visiting. I can’t recommend this Airbnb enough!

    Caroline2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • This property is a hidden gem. MILLION DOLLAR VIEW overlooking CU and the Flatirons. Rooftop sanctuary is especially relaxing. Great place for an intimate gathering.

    Cody2020-02-08T00:00:00Z
  • Beautifully decorated down to every detail. Very comfortable beds. The kitchen is huge and well-stocked. The views from the living area are unreal and the deck, complete with hot tube and outdoor bed, was a great place to unwind. Greg was easy to communicate with and went above and beyond to make sure we were enjoying our stay.

    Jessica2020-01-23T00:00:00Z
  • I don’t have words to explain how special and magical Greg’s house is ✨ I had the best birthday ever and I definitely couldn’t have chosen a better place to celebrate it! The house is comfortable and adorable, I loved the art and decoration. We could play piano and guitar. We enjoyed the hot tube outside watching a beautiful moon and during the morning the view of the mountains were breathtaking. Thank you so much for sharing this special place with us. I’m very grateful for the experience. I will definitely go back!

    Karol2019-11-08T00:00:00Z
  • Greg is a great host with a lovely home and I respect the amount of work he’s had to put into this place. The views are spectacular from the enormous picture windows in the living room and the very large patio on the top floor. I was surprised that the nylon string guitar propped up against the piano in the entry was in tune and ready to play which I did during the afternoons during our stay. If you’re looking for inspiration and scenic views. Rent from Greg.

  • Adorable and just as described. The cabin was perfect for a relaxing retreat. Just the right size and very well appointed. Kitchen had just what I needed and the entire place was very clean. The scenery of trees is so peaceful to look at through the windows. I was there in winter and the cabin was very cozy.

Welcome to the Sunshine House, located 6 minutes from Boulder's famous Pearl Street. This Charles Heartling designed, 1968 mid-century modern bungalow is on the architectural registry. Located in the foothills of Sunshine Canyon, you'll enjoy stunning views of Boulder and the surrounding mountains. The house is a stand alone structure with high-speed internet, outdoor patio, and easy access to dozens of trails. Pets and kids welcome. This is truly a unique experience.
  • Beautiful location, cozy space. Everything you need for a refreshing weekend.

    Kaela2020-03-20T00:00:00Z
  • What a beautiful, cozy space to call home for a night! The hosts knew that there were going to be three of us and went the extra step to set up the extra beds for us in the living space. The cots were very comfortable! We had everything we needed to cook a lovely dinner and the thoughtful touches like the record player and Chromecast were much appreciated. We were so close to Pearl Street, yet we still got the incredible, uninterrupted view of the snow dusted mountains in the morning. Highly recommend!

    Allie2020-03-02T00:00:00Z
  • The location is absolutely perfect. We hiked the Lyons Lair Trail, which is just down the driveway to the right about 2 minutes walk and then across the street. The hike was AN AMAZING experience. I believe the hike is rated “moderate”, but the views make any difficulty moot. The check in process was very simple. The small cozy house was just the perfect place we were looking for. Very simple, small and exactly what you need when you are looking to explore all day and just go to bed when you get home at night. I would suggest purchasing plastic cups and detergent. Also, wait at least thirty minutes between showers, so the hot water will last minimum ten minutes for the second shower. The view was amazing and overall the experience was wonderful and exploring made our vacation priceless.

    Mindy2020-02-29T00:00:00Z
  • A cozy mountain retreat. The sunshine house was exactly what we were looking for in an escape to the mountains. It was easy to get into downtown Boulder, but still felt removed enough from the rest of the city. Super quiet, clean, and beautiful inside.

Small house with spectacular tundra views, very private, minutes from Nederland, Eldora ski area, national forest and Indian Peaks Wilderness.
You'll feel like you're out in the woods here, but only 5 minutes away is the fun little town of Nederland, where there are multiple good restaurants, including Nepalese and Thai food, groceries, liquor store, food co op, etc. Drive or take the RTD bus down to Boulder a half hour away or Denver and hour and a half away.... but the real attraction is the Rocky Mountains! On a clear day, go check out Brainard Lake...
  • This was one of the best Air Bnb vacations I've had. Nancy went above and beyond. My car got stuck in the snow and she offered to drive us around. She baked us a fresh apple pie that was waiting for us when we arrived. She was super friendly and the place was gorgeous with very comfortable beds.

  • Thank you Nancy for your hospitality and awesome little cottage! This is our second time staying at your place and couldnt be happier! Perfect for my husband and I to stay while we cross country skied at Eldora and snowshoed at Brainard Lake. So great waking up to an awesome view of the mountains from the living room! Can’t forget how delicious the homemade pie was! Thanks again!

  • This place is an absolute gem! I’ve enjoyed staying here in summer, fall and winter (haven’t tried spring yet), and it’s comfortable and gorgeous no matter what the season or weather. The cottage is a studio space with kitchen, bed, living room, dining table, private outdoor porch and bathroom with shower. We also provide simple amenities for cooking. The cottage is directly behind our family home and shares a deck with the main house. It is close to national parks and forest, running, hiking, biking trails, Eldora ski area and 10 minutes northeast of the town of Nederland. You’ll love the cottage because of access to nature, the decor and the location.
The cottage is nicely designed and stylishly furnished, it is a cozy space comfortable for two people.
For some, our spot might seem remote, however, the cottage is situated directly behind our house and is located in an active neighborhood, only 10 minutes drive to Nederland and 25 minutes to Boulder.

  • What a quaint and beautiful place to stay! You are way up in the mountains here folks but easy to access!!!! Lovely gorgeous drive up and down the mountain and only 10 minutes from cute little downtown Nederland. Not far at all from Boulder! It was so nice having my own space and I felt very safe and cozy as a solo female traveler. Book it!!!

  • Emilie's place breathtaking views place is clean cozy and very homey my family and i had a amazing stay.

    Liliana2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • This stay was absolutely amazing. I was looking for a quiet mountain cottage and I got exactly that. This space was well decorated and so cozy. The space has a quick heating system that gets just warm enough to relieve the cold. The shower is small, but the water heats up fast! The kitchen is well stocked. The entire cabin has plenty of storage for all of the over-packers (that’s me!). If you’re going in the winter, you absolutely need a 4x4 or AWD vehicle. The driveway is icy and steep. This little mountain town felt like a second home by the end of the trip. There were no other tourists, no traffic. Theres a huge lake surrounded in mountains; everything was frozen and covered in snow during our stay. As Texas locals, it was a winter wonderland! It was a DREAM to stay here. The hosts’ were so kind and helpful! We’ll definitely be back.

This is a beautiful room in a charming neighborhood 1.5 miles from downtown and near bus routes. Many beautiful hiking trails start within 300 yards or the house. There are a private entrance and lots of space for parking. The room has a private full bathroom, queen bed, closet, and drawers. Free high-speed wifi is available. Kindly let us know if you are bringing a dog. No charge for children three and under. It's a separate apartment, attached to our home, private entrance, no shared spaces. Please read the entire listing description. Note that there is a kitchenette (no stove or hotplate). An outdoor gas bbq grill is available for guests.
Welcome to our home. The retreat is located in the beautiful Eldorado Springs Valley where gorgeous views and nature abounds. There are approximately thirty houses in the quiet and serene neighborhood, all on an acre or more. The retreat is a totally separate apartment with a private entrance, which is attached and under the same roof as our home. There's one bedroom with two walk in closets, a new queen bed, and a beautiful view from the bedroom window. A comfy foam full size floor mattress is available for extra guests. The steam shower in the bathroom will warm you up and is great for sore muscles. (Towels, bed linens and comforters are provided). The living area is open concept with ceramic tile floors, cable TV, and many windows. The kitchenette has a microwave, toaster oven, crock pot, coffee maker, electric tea kettle and fridge. An outdoor gas bbq grill is available in close proximity to the retreat. Dishes, bowls, flatware, dish liquid, coffee, tea, organic sugar, and more are provided. There are several markets close by to purchase groceries such as King Soopers. Whole Foods, Trader Joe's, Sprouts Market and other wonderful food shops are a short drive away in Boulder. The trailheads are located less than a mile from the house for mountain biking, hiking running, and cross country skiing and snowshoeing in the winter when there's enough snow. Eldorado Canyon State Park is two miles up the road with more trails to hike and scenic vistas. Downtown Boulder is a 10-15 minute drive, depending on traffic. If you don't want to go into the downtown area, there are shops and restaurants in South Boulder, about 3 miles from here. The main road is a state highway and is well maintained. The retreat is set back a ways from the road. It can be busy during the day, with people recreating, especially during the summer. At night it's quiet and peaceful. Smoking of tobacco and cannabis is allowed; outside only. We look forward to hosting you!
It's a quiet and peaceful neighborhood with friendly neighbors. Most of the homes in the area are on an acre or more. There's Open Space with no houses on it surrounding us.
  • You can tell that Susan takes pride in providing good hospitality. She is available for her guests, yet in a very unobtrusive way. (She just wrote to me via the air bnb platform once a day to ask if we needed anything.) Her guest home is very clean and is well outfitted with the basics. The only part that could have been better is that the kitchen lacks a stovetop. She does provide a microwave, fridge and sink. I enjoyed the tour guide book she put together - There are some excellent suggestions in there. I also liked the vibe and decor - she is a potter and I believe that she crafted many of the decor pieces and kitchenwares.

  • It’s always fun for me to visit Susan and Tom in Boulder. The place is always sparkling clean and it’s in a beautiful area on the edge of town. As usual, I will return the next time I’m through this part of Colorado.

  • Susan's place is beautiful. We had a great time exploring the surrounding areas and driving through mountain passes. Place was very close to boulder, $12.00 uber ride. Very clean and Susan was quiet responsive and great about all communication. Was a lovely time!

Located in Coal Creek canyon in the majestic Rockies of Colorado at 7,604 ft. Enjoy our charming mountain home that offers creativity, relaxation and romance. The cabin is close to Boulder County trails, Eldorado State Park, Gross Dam Reservoir and Walker Ranch. Guests enjoy hiking, biking, climbing, skiing and most of all relaxing. An ideal location if you are interested in sheltering or simply looking for a remote Colorado mountain experience.
Built in 1973 on 1.6 acres in beautiful Coal Creek Canyon, our home offers a romantic and peaceful mountain retreat 40 minutes from the city of Boulder, 45 minutes from Denver and 30 minutes from the quaint mountain town of Nederland. The cabin is ideal for anniversaries & honeymooners, hikers, mountain bikers, rock-climbers (world-class climbing in Eldorado Canyon & Boulder), writers, musicians, artists, or anyone looking for a few days of isolation in the mountains. The eastern-facing, uniquely crafted wooden deck overlooks the stunning Eldorado Canyon ridgeline, Walker Ranch State Park, not to mention the breathtaking sunrises and the twinkling city lights at night. As you enter this rustic paradise, you are instantly welcomed by the indoor soaking tub (always warm and ready) in the cedar spa room & a large, open-kitchen, equipped with a vintage style refrigerator and stove. Once in the main living area, your eyes are immediately drawn to the narrow spiral staircase leading to the loft bedroom on the second floor (note: this may not be ideal for children, elderly, or handicapped). The bathroom is located on the main floor. The open fireplace is available for your use. Please bring your own firewood and kindling if you would like to use the fireplace. Amenities for cooking include: pots and pans, cutlery, variety of glassware ( wine and beer glasses and champagne flutes), mugs, microwave, small toaster oven ( for toast and bagels), coffee maker, coffee grinder, coffee filters, new large Big Chill fridge with freezer, electric kettle for hot water, outdoor propane grill with propane provided, tea/coffee, salt/pepper, a growing and large assortment of spices, sugar and usually coffee. The bathroom was completely remodeled in March of 2019. It is a spectacular work of art, featuring a custom designed and built tile mosaic, zero entry shower with a rain shower. The vanity boasts a marble top and is brand new as well. The bathroom was designed and built by co-owner, Karl Manteuffel. There is a vintage style record player with an array of records to choose from and wireless internet ( no TV or DVD player). The wireless internet works well for checking email, searching the internet and streaming movies. I have been told it does not have enough bandwidth if you are a programmer that wants to work from the home. The loft has a medium firm queen mattress with alternative down topper ( if too soft, feel free to remove). There is baseboard electric heating in the loft and a small deck to the front of the home. Typically, evenings in the summer in Colorado mountains are cool & peaceful, so feel free to open the windows and patio door to cool down the home with a fresh summer breeze filled with pure mountain air. During the warmer summer there is a portable evaporative (swamp) cooler, two large tower fans and a smaller fan and ceiling fan in the kitchen. There is no a/c in this home, nor is it common to have a/c units in Colorado mountain homes. During the cooler months of September through May, the entire home has radiant-heated adobe floors. The loft has baseboard electric heat for colder winter nights. There are also 2 large oil filled electric portable heaters and 1 small electric heater for your use for those extra cold evenings in the winter. The cabin can sleep 4 people when the pullout sofa couch is used ( the brown sofa in photos). It has a queen sized memory foam sleeper mattress. During the high season ( June- September) , Friday and Saturday nights have a 2-day booking minimum to accommodate my housekeeper's schedule. Sit back & relax on the deck while sipping a cup of tea, with dozens of birds cooing around you in the tree branches around this incredibly romantic, inspiring, and unique property.
The neighborhood setting is picturesque, peaceful, and most importantly private. The last 1 mile to the property is on a county dirt road offering its own unique backdrop as you wind around the mountain until you reach the property. Crescent Meadows Trailhead which will lead you to Walker Ranch State Park plus access to Boulder County Open Space trails is a short .5 mile stroll from the front door. Gross Dam Reservoir is just down the road from the home as well for fishing, boating, picnicking, & more. Plus there is a convenience store, coffee shop, liquor store, & a few restaurants near the cabin located on the main road if needed. We strongly recommend picking up groceries before your arrival since the closest grocery stores are about 30-45 min away. Please stay on designated trails and hiking areas as there is wildlife in the surrounding area. Cell phone coverage can be spotty at the home and while driving through the canyon, please print out directions, door codes, and other details that may be needed before your arrival.

  • Great place for a quick Colorado Mountain Escape. Loved waking up to the sunrise. The retro appliances and vinyl were a great touch.

  • My husband and I, spent our honeymoon here and it was such a magical place of peace, tranquility and perfect getaway. We were there during the winter season and enjoyed the snow and cold weather, I can only imagine how wonderful it would be to experience it during warmer temperatures. I do agree having a 4 wheel drive vehicle is best when there during the winter season. The cabin has everything you need which made it so much easier to relax and just enjoy the moment. My husband and I talked about going back for our 5 yr anniversary. You won't regret staying here.

Beautiful mountain neighborhood with lots of trees, large lots and rolling dirt roads. The city view from here is amazing!
  • Beautiful views, super relaxing bathtub, overall great place to get away

  • My husband and I love this place! It was perfect for us and our two dogs. The view is spectacular. The bathroom amenities were great. There isn't a kitchen, but the food in boulder is delicious. Very clean, a little noisy if the hosts have friends over (you are on the first floor which is private from the rest of the house), but quieted down at a reasonable hour and we slept wonderfully both nights we were there. Highly recommended if you have pets traveling with you and/or you want gorgeous mountain views in Boulder, CO. We will definitely book again!

    Olivia2020-03-11T00:00:00Z
  • I booked this place for the spacious jet tub, the steam shower, and the views, and I wasn't disappointed! The bath and shower were both to die for, and the views were out of this world. It's a bit out of the way, which was fine for me because I had no actual plans in Boulder proper. If you're coming in the winter, you'll definitely need 4WD, though, as it's very much off the beaten path. The host, Andy, was responsive; he also has a cute dog who lives upstairs and will probably greet you outside at some point. Overall, I'd definitely recommend this place if you're looking for a mountain escape.

    Natalie2020-03-02T00:00:00Z
  • This place is AMAZING!!!!! The pictures don’t do it justice!!!! The view is amazing! The location is perfect because it is up in the mountain but not a far drive from the city. Super recommend this place! Plus he has super cute dogs!

  • Andy’s place was fantastic...felt very at home the whole time. Was very accommodating and quick to respond if there were issues, which there were not any. Highly suggest this place if you’re down for adventure and relaxation.

  • Lots of firsts in this trip for meeee! First time in Colorado first times seeing snow and first time solo trip! The view from this place is absolutely breathtaking! Laying in bed staring at the hills -awesome Taking a bath staring at the hills -amazing Watching fresh snow fall from the patio -amazing I can’t say enough good things. Andy provided lots of materials with this to do and where to go. I’ll always recommend this place!

  • This house is perfect for a large family and had so many amenities. I did not have to buy many spices at all to do all the cooking I needed to for my special diet. I was pleasantly surprise as this is often not the case. The house was huge and spacious. Fridge was well stocked with essentials and Lauren was an amazing host. I needed something midway through our stay and she was quick to respond and fulfill my request. The house is close to shopping and downtown. 7 of us were in Boulder for an advanced yoga training and we were so comfortable. Highly recommend this house! Totally would stay here again!

Large basement apt w/private entrance/natural light. In-ground pool + hot tub likely available, but not guaranteed as they can have mechanical/chemical failures. Private patio, charcoal grill, washer/dryer, kids' playgrounds across the St. Two strollers. Renovated July '16 with new paint, new flooring, updated bath + kitchen! Centrally located -- 1.2 miles to E. Pearl (25 minute walk/$5-6 uber), trails, breweries, restaurants, shopping, DIA (50 min), RMNP (45 min). 420 friendly outside.
Extremely safe and quiet neighborhood with playgrounds and tennis courts directly across the street. If you are here to part-ay on a school night we do have 4 children. There space is not directly above the bedrooms but you still might hear footsteps. While it is a basement apartment, it is a walk-out basement. Very private. Our new puppy, Bear, does share the fenced back yard but gets a LOT of positive reviews.
This is a very quiet and safe residential neighborhood. In 5 years we have never locked our doors! Across the street are 3 parks for kids and tennis courts.

Please note: I prefer that guest stay no more than 7 days. Please don't book more without explicit approval. Thanks! Stepping into my home is like entering a folk art museum. It is cozy, comfortable, and surrounded by a lovely garden. The room is well lit, with southwest and northwest windows. My home has a small park right behind it and is near the bus lines. The dwelling is a bit older and has rustic charm, and is well kept in a bohemian fashion. Sorry, no cigarette smokers. I am allergic.

Haven Guest House is “all cabin” without the rustic; here you’ll find all the mod cons! Year round, easy access on a well maintained county road, no 4WD needed. Private but accessible, 15 min to Eldora Ski & Nederland, 35 min to Boulder & Blackhawk; an hour to Denver or Loveland/ABasin. Self contained apt: open concept living room/kitchenette, full bath w/shower & claw foot tub, bedroom. Shared outdoor spaces with seasonal creek on property, swing set, fire pit; plenty of off street parking.
Regarding Covid-19 We have adopted all recommended extra precautions when cleaning to prevent Covid19 Virus spread. We are disinfecting all surfaces and especially high touch areas such as light switches, door knobs, with EPA approved disinfectant, between bookings. Drying linens on high heat for an hour, and blocking extra time between bookings. Haven guesthouse is attached to the main house which is also rented as an Airbnb when our friends and family are not using it as a vacation home. The guesthouse has a private entry into living/dining room with kitchenette, with a sofa which converts into a full size bed; dining table with folding leaves which can be expanded to accommodate 4, There is a private bathroom with shower and claw foot tub. Finally the bedroom which has a queen bed, closet, seating area and a desk with chair. This is a small cabin, so for guests over 2 we recommend families with small children or friends who don’t mind sharing the space :) Pets allowed with prior approval and payment of min $20 separate pet fee. MJ friendly, Smoking allowed outdoors. The sofa flattens into a full size bed that is 75 inches long; so it is on the short side. When is “bed mode” the dining area is cramped; we suggest guests only convert the bed at night. The sofa bedding is stored in the bedroom closet. The kitchenette is fully stocked with essentials including coffee, tea and spices, and has a microwave, mini fridge with small freezer compartment, 1 burner induction cooktop, coffee maker and toaster oven (stored in the lower cabinet). Pots, pans and dishes are provided.
We live on an enchanting acre of land with gardens, creek and aspen and willow groves. The home is located at the bottom of a shallow valley so though there are not “peak views” directly from the home, we are nestled in lovely mountains. National Park trails 1/2 mile up from our house offer stunning divide views easily accessed walking from the house.. We are located a few hundred yards from the road, in a mountain neighborhood community, so not entirely secluded (other homes within view from some parts of the yard) but the west side of the home off the guest house is fairly secluded.
  • Cozy, clean cabin with everything you need! Great location too :) Highly recommend!

  • It was the perfect place!

    Madison2020-02-08T00:00:00Z
  • The place is fantastic! The only thing i didn't expect was that it is attached to another unit which doesn't provide much soundproofing form one unit to another. Other than that, I absolutely loved the entire place. Very comfortable bed, hot water, great kitchenette, and beautiful little sun deck for playing cards. Have a blast up there and enjoy the mountain air!

Private luxury suite two blocks from the Mount Sanitas trailhead, six blocks to downtown and the fantastic restaurants and shopping on Boulder's fun Pearl Street Mall. Amazing views, fresh mountain air ... all in walking distance to the best Boulder has to offer. With lovely outdoors space and private yard in a quiet neighborhood, a comfy bed and a luxurious bathroom -- with a hot tub just outside your own entrance. Why choose between adventure and culture, when you can be close to both?
Your lovely and comfortable suite is in own wing on the property, connected to the main house and kitchen, but also separate, with its own entrance leading to a deck, arbored hot tub, parking, and private fenced yard. The lofty space, with high ceilings, skylights and clerestory windows, manages to feel both airy and cozy. You have your own bathroom, also filled with natural light, including a slate and river rock shower, big enough to easily accommodate two people. It's a great place to work -- and it's a great place from which to go play. You can work at the desk, or a chair and ottoman, or grab a cup of coffee or tea and greet the day in one of the Adirondack chairs on the deck. At night you are welcome to sit in the hot tub, look up at the stars, and relax. The air smells wonderful, and in most seasons the only sounds are crickets and birds. We've provided your own mini-fridge, tea and coffee maker if you'd like to keep to yourself -- but you are welcome to join us and use anything in our full chef-designed kitchen, including the Vitamix and espresso machine, or the gas grill outside (check before using the grill, just so we can give you some directions). If using the kitchen, we ask that you clean up as you go. If you choose to eat out -- and Boulder is a great place to eat out -- there are many fantastic restaurants nearby. We've put together some information for you, and are also happy to make recommendations. We have two (generally adorable) dogs, but we keep them out of the suite so that it stays hypoallergenic. If you need us to keep them even further away, let us know. (We also temporarily have our daughter's dog with us; you may or may not meet him, but he's a sweetie.)
You will love the quiet and the ease of access to one of the locals' favorite trailheads -- Mount Sanitas -- which opens onto a valley and connects to Boulder's vast open space network of trails, ranging from challenging pro climbs to simple and easy walks/hikes for nearly any age, experience and altitude. Because the trail is so close, it's a great way to take a break, get exercise, clear your head, or enjoy nature with friends or loved ones. The Newlands neighborhood in Boulder is a great mix of quaint/funky and understated luxury -- everyone here stays because of the location: close to the mountains, but walkable to downtown. Groceries, Shopping, Restaurants, etc.: There is an Ideal Market (think, Cozy Whole Foods) a quarter-mile away in a shopping center that also hosts a tea house, a natural pharmacy, a coffee house, running store, banks, and a range of cute/yummy eateries, from a Top Chef's latest restaurant, to BBQ to pizza to gourmet breakfasts. Also, Sweet Cow has fantastic ice cream -- it's a nice little walk after a long day. There are convenience stores and gas stations just a block or two past that shopping area if you get the hankering for plain ol' junk food. Down the hill to Pearl Street, you'll find something for everyone: books, buskers, coffee houses, wine stores, jewelry and clothes, outdoor gear, and more restaurants of nearly every flavor and price point. There are breweries, brewpubs, and also wineries and kombucha breweries (this is Boulder, after all) that offer tours and tastings within a short drive, as well as other attractions like movie theaters, Celestial Seasonings, a fantastic farmers' market 2 days a week, as well as Rocky Mountain National Park and ski areas an hour-ish away. Getting to CU is easy; it's about 5-10 minutes away by car, depending on where you're headed on campus.
  • The place was fantastic. Great location , clean, comfortable and a wonderful shower. Merredith even had a very nice basket of goodies for us. Close to hiking ... And 2 adorable dogs. A great find and we would definitely stay here again.

    Stacy2020-03-06T00:00:00Z
  • Merredith's is the place! Best host ever! Before we even checked in she messaged me to see what kinds of milk preferences my boyfriend and I had, and then stocked the fridge full of good local beers. Even though it is a shared house, it was super private it totally felt like we were staying in our own little apartment. If we got back to Boulder this is where we will stay!

    Leyla2020-02-28T00:00:00Z
  • Meredith was amazing. From check-in to check-out, it was an extremely seamless process. She was very welcoming and provided amazing recommendations that made our trip memorable - Looking forward to staying here again!

    Otto2020-02-22T00:00:00Z
  • This is a great location if it is your first time in Boulder and you want some privacy. The trails are easily accessible for your hiking adventures. We especially loved being able to walk to Whole Foods nearby to catch breakfast or gather food items for our daily travels. Meredith was very responsive to our requests and provided excellent guidance for our excursions. We will definitely be returning.

    Lisa2020-02-19T00:00:00Z
  • The shower and the hot tub were amazing, and the room was very pretty and nicely decorated. We enjoyed the lovely view of the mountains from our room as well.

  • Great place and great hosts. Very kind folks that will take good care of you.

  • If you are reading this review.... just book it!!! We stayed 3 nights and 4 days in Boulder and loved every minute. Merredith is so accommodating and kind. You’ll love the hot tub too!!! Everything about her suite is as stated. A big king size bed, windows that welcome the morning sun will delight you. It has a private entry with only two steps to her deck. Street parking only a few steps away from the entry. Amenities....plush robes and slippers, lots of towels, wonderful little extra drinks and snacks! Amazing shower!!! There is no TV or radio. So bring your own entertainment. We had good wifi and accessed all our streaming sites in the iPad. However, Merredith did offer to bring in a monitor....just ask. It’s considered “in town” location, but it’s a good hike to Pearl Street. Speaking of hikes... good trails right down the block. Don’t hesitate to book... you won’t be disappointed.

    Becky2020-02-04T00:00:00Z
  • Merredith and Alan are both very nice people. Merredith went above and beyond to make sure my birthday weekend stay was extra special! The place was clean, loved all the natural light in the bedroom and bathroom, and the outdoor jacuzzi was sooooo nice! The location was perfect. Quiet neighborhood and yet close to the heart of Boulder. Can’t recommend this place enough!

The guest suite is attached to the main house but completely private. It includes a private deck with bistro table and chairs and a separate entrance through French doors. • We loved our stay! The location and space are fantastic. Super close to the mountains and pearl, both of which are primary attractions in Boulder. The space was clean, trendy, and comfy. We had a fantastic stay, and would have loved to stay longer!

  • This place is absolutely amazing! The space is unbelievably clean but also very cozy. Ashley was kind enough to let us check in ahead of schedule since the room was ready early. I would love to stay here again next time I’m in town!!

    Lauren2020-02-29T00:00:00Z
  • Nice, clean, pretty space, as pictured. You can’t beat the location, nestled in Boulder’s best neighborhood. Easy check in and a very responsive host. My only tiny issue - and I’m admittedly an over-achiever when it comes to worrying - is that I didn’t love that the shared door had no lock on the guest side. But perhaps that wouldn’t bother most people. Truly a gem of a place though, don’t hesitate to book it.

    Joan2020-02-24T00:00:00Z
  • Ashely was wonderful! The space is stylish, very clean and so cozy! Close to everything and a very quick drive to fun bars, restaurants and a grocery store. Highly recommend!

    Laura2020-02-21T00:00:00Z
  • Ashley's guest suite was a dream during my stay in Boulder! This was easily one of the best Airbnb experiences I've had, as this space much exceeded my expectations. It was so very clean, bright, well decorated and with such high quality craftmanship through out, the location can't be beat, and Ashley made check-in, check-out and all other inquiries throughout a breeze. It was the perfect space for one (or even two) during a weekend getaway. I would stay here again in a heart beat.

Bright open house outstanding views. Just 10 min from the mountain town of Gold Hill and 30 min from Boulder. Close to Brainard Lake, RMNP, Peaceful Valley and Caribou Open Space. Secluded yet all the modern conveniences . Great place to unwind and enjoy the fantastic views of the foothills yet easy to get to local tourist attractions. The last 2 miles of your trip is on a rough road 4wd is a must in the winter and is preferred year around though 2wd cars manage fine in the summer .
One mile off the county road allows you to only hear the birds and enjoy the views with out any neighbors. https://www.forbes.com/sites/garystoller/2019/02/27/better-than-disney-or-maui-a-travel-journalist-takes-you-to-his-favorite-hideaway/?fbclid=IwAR1B6bgOHhE7769teZAgU_rJL8rnSQznnHd7_phv3x5Q3Y1ukMO8jAi1AGI#a230576275df

  • We were blown away by the spectacular view right out the living room windows! It's so quiet and peaceful, we often forgot the windows were open. I can't say enough great things about Mark's place. I loved everything, including the fun and incredibly scenic adventure driving up the canyon into Gold Hill, then the bouncy jeep road to the cabin from there. Great communication with Mark. He was kind to meet us in Gold Hill, even though our flight arrived a later than usual check in time. He escorted us to the cabin (very helpful in the dark) and gave us a quick tour upon arrival. Very grateful to Mark for sharing this amazing place. I would love to visit many more times.

    Kristy2019-10-03T00:00:00Z
  • Cabin was very clean, amazing views. Mark was readily accessible for every need that arose. Definitely recommend the 4 wheel drive for flatlanders 😁

    James2019-09-26T00:00:00Z
  • This cabin was fantastic! Amazing views and everything you need for a comfortable stay. Mark was exceptionally helpful with directions and patient with us as we made our first trip up the mountainside! Originally we took Sunshine Canyon from Boulder to Gold Hill. The end of Sunshine Canyon caught up off guard as the road changes from paved to dirt the closer you come to Gold Hill. We were in an unfamiliar rental, in an unfamiliar area, going up a mountain side on a winding dirt road! Scary! Every other trip up and down the mountain we took Lickskillet to Lefthand Canyon instead. Little steeper, but wider and less curves. Definitely recommend taking this way if you’re inexperienced with mountain driving.

    Jenny2019-09-13T00:00:00Z
  • If you want a secluded, peaceful, place with all the amenities- you’ve found it! It’s a trek to get there but worth the adventure. Has everything you could need and the view is stunning. Great hosts and awesome experience.

    Jamie2019-08-20T00:00:00Z
  • Close to Boulder but definitely off the beaten path, was perfect for the three of us

    Sandra2019-08-11T00:00:00Z
  • Especially for the price the view is unbeatable. Mark was amazing and gave us tips on neat places to check out and the nearby town when we checked in! The house was clean and had everything we needed. Definitely will be back if we get the chance

Please also see sister studio, https://www.airbnb.com/rooms/15336744.
The cabin is in Boulder Canyon, a magnificent natural area connecting the plains with the peaks of the Rockies. At its entrance is Settlers Park with enormous red rocks tilted vertically and gorgeous views of Boulder Valley. Two miles up the canyon is the start of the Boulder Creek Path, which connects to 300 miles of dedicated bikeways in Boulder. A mile above the cabin is Boulder Falls, and ten miles above is the spectacular Indian Peaks Wilderness contiguous with Rocky Mountain National Park.
  • Amazing! I absolutely enjoyed my stay at this adorable cabin. Not too far from Boulder center, but just far enough to feel you’re away from it all. The cabin is cozy, well equipped with so many thoughtful extras. One of the best Airbnb experiences I’ve had. Cynthia and Jeff were wonderful hosts with excellent communication and recommendations. The cabin is private and quaint. Most definitely would stay here again. Thank you, Jeff and Cynthia

  • Really cozy place near lots of great outdoor areas to explore.

    Diana2020-03-19T00:00:00Z
  • Such a wonderful and charming place! Cynthia and Jeff do their absolute best to make you feel like you belong at Boulder! Great thoughtful touches, recommendations of places to visit, and overall communication. The cabin is suited for all levels and types of interest, as it's close to shopping (Pearl St. Mall) and trails, but also has WiFi, a smart TV, and a full kitchen if you're just looking to stay cozy. We can't wait to come back and bring our friends! Thanks again, Cynthia and Jeff!

    Sasha2020-03-14T00:00:00Z
  • We had the best two night stay at this cozy cabin. We were even welcomed to our cabin with a personalized greeting card and local Boulder snacks. We also LOVED that our cabin had a fireplace and used it both nights. Cynthia and Jeff were both warm and attentive— Jeff even drove us into Boulder on our way out. Being able to play fetch with their dog was an added bonus. Would definitely love to stay here again!

    Maddy2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • My partner and I HIGHLY recommend Cynthia and Jeff’s place in Boulder. Everything about the space was warm and inviting. It was one of the highlights of our trip!

    Erica2020-03-03T00:00:00Z
  • Nestled right in the mountains, but off of a conveinent road to Boulder. Very cute touches all over the space, fresh flowers and a wondeful gift basket. The fire place was the cherry on top.

    Alex2020-02-27T00:00:00Z
  • This is truly the Rocky Mountain experience. Beautiful and rustic yet modern cabin looking right up into the Rockies. Incredible view and great location if your looking to ski in Eldora. Jeff and Cynthia made the experience that much better. They were very prompt with responses, thoughtfully decorative, attentive, and knowledgeable of the area. Jeff made great suggestions on where to find Moose territory, great restaurants, historical landmarks, and more. The cabin is the perfect amount of rustic and modern amenities. Very thoughtful greeting card with our state flag represented and Colorado themed gifts there upon arrival. We appreciated they’re thorough suggestions and also their respect for our space. Very welcoming and hospitable people. So good that we hope to come back as soon as possible!! Definitely check it out, it’s a great value for the price! They also have a very welcoming dog helping as well!

  • Cozy little studio in the mountains. Our hosts were very friendly and accommodating and the hot tub right out side the bedroom was great.

    Seth2020-03-12T00:00:00Z
  • Angie and Jesse were amazing! We only stayed one night with them but would love to stay more in the future. It is the perfect little mountain getaway but not too far from a major city. The little town was amazing! We took a hike along the reservoir, which had amazing views, especially during sunset. We enjoyed the hot tub under the stars after our hike. The sunset in the morning with the view from the patio was unreal! We really enjoyed ourselves and could not recommend this place enough.

    Nicole2020-03-10T00:00:00Z
  • Had to cancel our trip at the last minute but Angie and Jesse were very understanding and communication was very quick and easy.

    Alex2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • Perfect location, and close to Eldora Resort! The studio is super cosy and adorable, as described and very clean. Hosts Angie & Jesse were very helpful and provided lots of great recommendations to the neighborhood and even thoughtfully set out welcome breakfast, snacks, and seltzers. Don't forget to bring a bathing suit too, because getting to hot tub under the stars after a day in the snow was by far the cherry on top to staying here.

    Serena2020-02-29T00:00:00Z
  • This is a perfect retreat for a mountain getaway and is so convenient to all the local restaurants and recreation. Angie and Jesse have created a peaceful setting with numerous thoughtful touches. The bed is comfortable and the star gazing from the hot tub was magical. One word of advice is that the walkway is quite steep and during winter we found it to be icy. We were happy to have ice trekkers attached to our boots.

    Jennifer2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • I travel a lot for work and had a weekend to spend in the US between two meetings. Searched for a place with a hot-tub... and wauw... ended up with much more!! Herewith a few of the many things which stood out: Awesome hosts, who kindly lend me hiking shoes (I travel light... only had normal shoes with me), they also lend me a pair of snow-shoes (first time in my life I walked on them... walks great!), Angie's breakfast muffins (secret recipe) taste great! Super good advice on where to hike (I ended up hiking to 'lost lake'), great bed!! Beautiful view from the porch, wonderful bathroom with great tiling & comfortable tub... long story short... one of those rare occasions that I hope to return with fam. and enjoy this place together. Many thanks Angie & Jesse!!

    Gert2020-02-03T00:00:00Z
  • Thanks for having us at your amazing place!!! We expected it to be beautiful as we saw in the pictures but we were still blown away when we got there. Coming from Vegas it was very refreshing to be that close to nature but still with lots of comfort. The bed was impossible to get out of in the morning, especially when we turned our heads and looked out to the view from the patio. We enjoyed every second in this charming place and are waiting to be back again.

  • Fabulous stay in Nederland. The space is beautiful, with a hot tub just one step outside the bedroom! We were hoping for a weekend of R&R and this place exceeded expectations, with all of Ned in easy walking distance and gorgeous trails to snowshoe nearby.

  • The house is idyllic Boulder. The location is amazing and the garden/grounds felt warm and inviting. I arrived in the dark and was immediately enamored with the soft lighting and and stone pathway that led to the staircase. The climb up to the third floor penthouse was well lit and safe. Upon stepping into the space I felt a big sigh and so much joy. The decor is simple and clean and really allows the beauty of the attic architecture to shine. Everything was clean, well placed, and easy to find. The bed that sits on the floor under the windows was so cozy and inviting. Great linens and plenty of pillows. Because I arrived in the dark I had little idea of what I would awake to. I was absolutely stunned when I opened my eyes to the sunrise through the windows over my head and the mountains illuminated across the room through another set of beautiful windows. That 20 minutes of waking up in pure beauty made the investment 100% worth it! We live in Fort Collins and will drive down just to simply enjoy a rest and retreat away every once in awhile. If you’re considering booking this space— DO IT immediately before someone else does. You will certainly not be disappointed.

  • This place rocks. Its so close to pearl street. Lots of options Feels like you are still in nature. mountain views from inside and out are just outstanding. The record player and sound system was a huge plus. We just played records and never used phone for music. This helps you connect better. What a treat we didn’t know we needed.
