Just booked in Dansville

AKA the"Lower Cabin" PLEASE SEE "NAPLES MOUNTAIN VIEW UPPER CABIN" listing if this cabin is booked! Both are VERY NICE!!!! Adult's only please. (Here's the link) https://www.airbnb.com/rooms/5133185 Both are very private, and comfortable.
I will be now be offering a discount off the normal rate of $199/night on weekends for a limited time! ! Book now for anytime thru 2016. The cabin and land is right on marked snowmobile trails, there is Winter skiing and hiking abound! Access to the private Hunt Hollow ski resort is allowed midweek! Please... Adults only. Well behaved doggies are fine but there's simply too much natural danger on the property for children. The falls, the gorges, the hot tub... Please respect ages 18 and older. Here's the ad.... Come stay and please leave feedback on your experience! Absolutely INSANE VIEWS! 15 ACRES of private property are all yours! Fireplace! Hot Tub! Water falls! Wading pools! Grapes! Flowers! Autumn time.... Word's can't describe how gorgeous it is on the mountain! Please come visit and provide your feedback! Of note, in the Winter time the cabin is primarily heated by the wood/coal stove. Wood and coal is not included in your rate. You're very welcome to bring your own hardwood, there's some available at the grocery store in town, or if desired I will provide it at a reasonable rate. I am purchasing firewood for the 2014/2015 season, but 2015/2016 should be much better with fully seasoned wood from the land. It's less than five miles to the quaint town of Naples. Great food, great wine. Finger Lakes wine trails are all very close!!! Right next to Hunt Hollow ski center! 15~ minutes from Bristol mountain ski center!!! Fish Honeoye Lake! Or better.... The untouched Canadice Lake! All a very short distance away!!! There are a total of two separate cabins on the land, and I am looking to build a third in 2015. There's a ton a natural beauty and privacy. Your cabin will be entirely yours!!!! REKINDLE THAT ROMANCE!!! I am waiving the cleaning fee as people have been great with previous rentals. Please leave it as you found it so I can allow the savings to continue! I make a personal inspection after each rental, so if it's just light cleaning I'll have at it myself. Trails, deer, small black bear, fox, awesome bird watching, the stars at night are great and the waterfalls!!!! All make this a best of breed stay!!! You'll need a vehicle. 2 wheel drive is fine, I drive motorcycle with absolutely no issues. No smoking in the cabin please. I don't hunt, but if there was interest I would allow it in season.
Please note: We are on an artesian well. Depending on the Season and level of the water table on the mountain, there may be noticable Sulfur content in the water. I have two water softeners in line as well as a chlorinator. It is perfectly safe to drink, but I would encourage people to bring their own drinking water.
  • We loved the area and it's peacefulness. We where able to just sit, relax and enjoy the views which where beautiful. Husband was excited to try and summit Blueberry Hill in the Infiniti via switchbacks. Exciting for all..Cabin had everything we needed to enjoy our weekend. Large deck and hot tub where enjoyed the most. John was very friendly and knowledgeable about the area.

  • John was awesome, very friendly and Frankie is an amazing and friendly dog. The cabin is nice and the views spectacular. We spent most of our time relaxing and hiking in the woods which is beautiful. Just wish more water had been there so the gorges were running. But, still beautiful. Def. not a place for little ones, can be dangerous with the drop-offs and steep hills etc... But, for adults and older teens great place. My kids didn't even touch the cell phones. lol Will def. go back if able next year!! Thanks John!!

  • Beautiful cabin in the woods, centrally located in the finger lakes region. Our second time staying here, and it was just as wonderful as the first.

    Charles2017-01-02T00:00:00Z
  • Beyond our expectations. John and this cabin were perfect! We had a great time relaxing in the country and even did some skiing at Bristol Mountain. The hot tub in the snow was great! Thanks again for everything. Highly recommended! Will book again!

    Pat2015-01-13T00:00:00Z
  • What an incredible place! It was so clean and nicely decorated. We (my husband and I) loved the hot tub, the big screen tv which we used to binge watch Parenthood all weekend, and the great big kitchen to make our meals in. We brought our dog who loved going for a walk around the property and exploring. This was a perfect weekend away to relax and enjoy time together. It took a little time to figure out the wood burning stove, but once my husband got it going we were nice and cozy all weekend. Hope to come back again in the summer/ fall!

    Meg2015-03-16T00:00:00Z
  • I am so happy that I booked my mini-vacation at John's cabin. His place was absolutely amazing - decorated perfectly, well kept, and it was so easy to work with him. His communication was great and he was a delightful host. The hot tub was great with a stunning view. Everything was perfect - Including his suggestion for fire wood for the indoor fire place - the cabin temp was great! He was very helpful in getting our car out of the snow (it snowed A LOT the weekend we were there). So happy I chose the perfect place to surprise my boyfriend with for a mini birthday getaway. Booking a summer vacation there in the next few days!

    Kristina2015-02-11T00:00:00Z
  • We had an amazing time!! We love this cabin and how helpful John is!! He makes sure you have everything you need for a wonderful stay. The cabin is beautiful and the view is great. We'll slowly become a regular of Johns cabins!! Thank you so much!!

    Jenna2016-01-11T00:00:00Z
  • This is our 3rd fall in a row that my wife and I have visited John's Mountain View Cabin. As we've come to expect from our trip to Naples, everything was picture postcard perfect. The cabin is roomy and comfortable. The views are beautiful and the surrounding area is peaceful and quiet. John left us more than enough wood to heat the cabin, although we didn't need it, since it was so unseasonably warm. We love watching the stars in the hot tub, cooking food on the firepit, and picking concord grapes from the vine on the hillside. The cabin is a short drive away from much of what the Finger Lakes have to offer. As our home base while in the Finger Lakes, we've kayaked at Canadice Lake, walked Watkins Glen State Park, visited the Women's Rights National Historic Park, antiqued in Canandaigua, and visited Farm Sanctuary. And we've barely skimmed the surface of what the area has to offer. Last time we stayed, I mentioned that the sliding glass door onto the 2nd story porch wouldn't lock properly. This year, there's a brand new door that locks with ease. John is the perfect host, the one who takes your concerns to heart and improves his property and your experience. Already looking forward to next year.

  • Great little cabin for a weekend getaway! Nathan is very accommodating & the site is perfect for a simple camping trip. Highly recommended!

    Alyssa2016-10-09T00:00:00Z
  • We really enjoyed our stay at the cabins. Nathan was a great host and really helped make our stay enjoyable. The cabin was a perfect place to sleep after returning from a 14-person family trip to Niagara Falls. It was quiet, restful and relaxing, not to mention the kids enjoyed the obstacle course/ playground and searching for toads near the pond. Nathan also recommended the Java Jungle Cafe in the morning and it was AWESOME. I highly recommend it to anyone passing through Dansville. I would go out of my way to eat there again! Nathan also recommended the Stony Brook state park....every new turn was like a picture from a postcard. We really enjoyed our time in Dansville and the family really enjoyed sleeping in the Cabin after a full day at Niagara. Highly recommended!

  • Great place for a rustic, clean & quiet getaway. Basic sleeping arrangements (bring your pillow, linens and a camp chair). Community hall displaying hunting trophies is open to microwave a quick treat, making a cup of coffee/tea or using the internet. Restroom available in the community hall or separate building on the grounds which includes hot showers. Near to town but definitely need a car to get around. Nathan is a great host!

Redmond House is the perfect place to unwind and relax in the hot tub with an amazing view. The large contemporary country home will provide the perfect getaway for girls weekend or family reunions. Enjoy the spacious deck, hot tub and firepit, sleeps 18 people.
Enjoy a place to relax with family and friends just outside the Finger Lakes Region and Letchworth State Park. This stunning 6000 square foot contemporary country home, sleeps up to 18 people comfortably. Redmond House will provide a beautiful getaway for your family or friends and allow everyone to enjoy their stay. The home is located on 35 beautiful acres along the western mountain ridge 15 minutes south of Letchworth State Park. The interior is open and bright and the sun greets you on the 1,100 sq ft. deck each morning. All the comforts of home are included on the lower deck with a hot tub and patio with a fire pit.
The house is located in a remote area which doesn't have many neighbors, which for a vacation, it is perfect to get away and relax. Both fields above and below the house have horses, who do make noises every once in a while, but that this usually the only noise you will hear. Sleep with the windows open and enjoy the summer breeze, it doesn't get any better than that! Make sure you plan a day trip to "The Grand Canyon of the East" at Letchworth State Park, or Stony Brook Park. Both are beautiful stops with activities for everyone in the family. Conesus Lake is only a few miles away for a fun afternoon on the water. There are many local fishing holes and 4 golf courses within 15 minutes of the house. The local town has some great antiquing and there are too many festivals to count! So, whatever your interests, there many things to see and do.
  • A perfect place shared by four couples with room to spare! While the living spaces offered all you needed, with a vastly appointed kitchen, the outdoor spaces added even more. Great deck and fire pit areas with ample seating were the highlight of our beautiful weekend. While we did not need any assistance during our stay, all our questions were answered promptly prior to arrival. Nothing we would change and a place we would revisit for sure....

    Tom2017-10-01T00:00:00Z
  • The description of Redmond House was absolutely accurate and in reality the house, grounds and view far exceeded our expectations. The hosts were wonderful, answering all of many many questions beforehand and even stopping by with wood for us to have a fire in the fire pit. The house was more than comfortable for 16 people to sleep and to host a party for 40 people. It didn't hurt that we had perfect weather to enjoy the sunshine on the deck and while floating in the pond. Thank you so much for sharing your wonderful home with us!

    Jackie2015-08-24T00:00:00Z
  • The host was very prompt to answer emails and super friendly! I reached out to her numerous times and she was always quick to answer and her responses were detailed and accurate. The house is gorgeous and matches the description perfectly. Janine left a handwritten note with detailed instructions for the house amongst brochures and information about surrounding areas which was helpful. Our group of 15 stayed for a weekend and it was the perfect spot for a quiet getaway. I would recommend to anyone and definitely go back again!

    Krista 2016-07-19T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay was amazing! The deck was a great gathering space. The fire pit kept us warm and together into the early morning. The hot tub was perfect. Comfortably slept all 15 adults! Janine was always easy to get a hold of. We cannot wait to return next year!!!

    Jason2016-10-02T00:00:00Z
  • My family and friends had a wonderful time at the Redmond House! The swimming pond was so much fun, and the large yard was perfect for games. The fire pit was great for singalongs. The house is nicely decorated with plenty of room and things to do. We are already looking forward to our next stay there!

    Michael2016-07-15T00:00:00Z
  • I'm not sure there are enough adjectives to describe this home, but I'll try ~ amazing, inviting, expansive yet cozy, beautiful, well equipped, did I say beautiful!

    Dina2016-05-16T00:00:00Z
  • Our group of friends wanted some quiet time at a relaxing location near the finger lakes. We chose Redmond House and we are very happy we did, the photos do not do the property justice. It is warm, inviting, immaculately kept. The space is large enough for you to not feel cramped but still cozy and homey. The layout of the rooms provide ample options for sleeping and privacy and the grounds are quiet, relaxing, and peaceful. The location is a bit out of the way and the wineries are far, but in my opinion it is worth it. I would recommend this place to anyone who wanted a getaway!

    Amy Jo2015-06-15T00:00:00Z
  • We had a PHENOMENAL experience at the Redmond House. It's a beautiful space - the pictures really don't do it justice! We weren't sure what to expect with the pond, but it was a perfect, warm swimming space! Janine was fabulous - responds quickly, very helpful, thorough, and accommodating. We had a large group of 16 adults together for a long weekend. We fit comfortably, and everyone just kept commenting on how awesome the place was! I highly recommend Redmond house to anyone looking for a fun getaway.

Our home is nestled in the valley of two hills with easy access off I-390, State Routes 21, 371 and 415. It is a pivot point to State Parks, Wineries, the Finger Lakes and experiencing "Life is Better Outdoors." Hike, bike, kayak, read, and enjoy.
Upon arrivals guest must check in with Airbnb. This home is a "Serve Yourself" Accommodations Experience. You bring your personal hygiene items, paper products, food and clothing and use my home as if it was your own. Our home is a welcoming environment with three dining areas, four sitting areas to inspire people to sit, relax and visit. Our home is 3500 sq feet of country living with several gathering rooms and dining rooms..there are 6 bedrooms and 3.5 baths. Guests will love coming here to relax, read, enjoy the area. There are 2 king size beds and 4 queen size beds to choose from. The southern exposure sun room and cozy front room are favorites along with fireside chairs by the wood burning fireplace. 15 acres of woodlands for exploring with an adjacent 100 acres of crop and additional woodlands are available to guests. Owner has available four kayaks which can be used for a quick trip to Hemlock or Canadice Lake (the crown jewels of the Finger Lakes). These lakes are pristine and within 30 minutes or less. With prior arrangements the owner will transport kayaks. Bring your bikes and host can help plan a road trip enjoying the meandering country roads. There are many games under the year-round Christmas trees. Also available are cards, chess set and and Chinese checkers as accent pieces. If you are a reader visit our in-house library collections. Our home is a work in progress. Families have enjoyed coming here for over 5 years for joyous and sad occasions. There are enough gathering rooms for any type of catching up with friends and families. In lieu of TV cable we have a Smart TV with an HDMI cable for access to a computer. Our internet service is not as fast as most - part of living in a rural area of Western NY. Media devices include VHS, CD and DVD players with surround sound. Check out our turntable collection of records or the 50-60's music collections. A local video store and a "Redbox" kiosk are available and close by for movies. Owner/host prefers to reserve personal bedroom/office for her use and access during visitors' stay. However, provisions can be made for this additional space if need be. This is primarily a personal residence which is shared with travelers and families. As my children say, "Mother, you have so much stuff in your home." They are correct but there is a story behind most pieces of furniture and wall accessories. There is a full basement which is under construction for a future man's cave and is not available to renters. Lastly, our "Rural Chic Farmhouse" is "grande" on the inside and in need of attention on the outside and surrounding site work is under development. Everyone who visits my home falls in love with it. The host is very familiar with all the tourist options for discovering the Finger Lakes and Western NY.
  • Carol was a wonderful host! My mom arrived to the home earlier than me and Carol got her settled and showed her around town so that when I arrived we knew where all the fun stuff was. The home is exactly as described rural chic and very cozy. I wish that we could have enjoyed a longer stay. If you are looking for a relaxing quiet get away this home is perfect for you. I was in town for the Corning Marathon and Carol actually came out to watch the race and cheer for me and the other runner that stayed with her that weekend. Being from Chicago it was nice to have some extra support during the race. Carol provided breakfast consisting of coffee, fruit, local baked products (grapes/things made with grape are really big in this area). She even had supplies for peanut butter toast ready for me on race day morning. We had a lovely time and if I return to the Corning area again for any reason I will be contacting Carol.

The Lake is so beautiful and peaceful, particularly for our first day when we mostly had it to ourselves. Connie, though we never met, was an excellent host, offering to deliver fans as the weather had been so warm. Would love to return for a longer holiday.

This is a secluded cottage on a private lake in the heart of NY State wine country. Only 1 hour from the Keuka and Seneca Wine trails. Plenty of things to do, or not do, depending on what you would like on your vacation.
The best part of the cottage, with exception to the fact that it is waterfront, is the fact that it is isolated and perfect for those seeking to get away from it all and relax. It is located in an area surrounded by woods.
  • Loon Lake and Serenity Cove is a very unique place with lots of character. We enjoyed our weekend of fishing and kayaking!

This refurbished 2-story farmhouse sits at the base of a hill on the outskirts of the small village of Canaseraga. Our 200+ acre farm is quiet and secluded, with beautiful views of the stars at night and many walking trails. There is horse boarding available for those who are interested. Please enjoy nature and the quiet, serene lush settings of this beautiful setting.
Our two story farmhouse is just minutes from Swain Ski Resort, Letchworth State Park, Alfred University, Corning Glass, Hornell, and the Finger Lakes Trail (which is accessible at the top of our road). The farmhouse offers peace and quiet in a serene setting, you can see deer, birds, and plenty of other wildlife. Its a beautiful spot to look at stars at night (far from light and all other kinds of pollution). There is a small stream down the road and nearby fishing holes. The water does contain sulfur, which is safe.
Our farm and neighborhood are in a beautiful country setting, with plenty of quiet. During hunting season, hunters are welcome to stay, but hunting is not allowed on the grounds in or near the house or on any of the grounds of our farm. There are plenty of easily accessible state lands nearby for hunting and fishing.
  • Jim and Dianne were wonderful hosts, answered all questions quickly and were available to help us in any way, especially with places to go for dining, exploring, etc. Cute farmhouse in a beautiful location, we enjoyed sitting on the deck at night watching the stars.

  • This is a diamond in the rough. The house and views are amazing. Dianne was sweet as pie, friendly and accommodating. We arrived to a stocked kitchen , perfect for cooking a country dinner and great breakfast. The views from the side porch are breathtaking. Wally the horse next door was super fun to watch. Very close to Stony Brook state park which was also awesome! We hope to visit again:)

My place is close to Letchworth State Park, Stony Brook State Park, The Glen Iris Inn, and Woodlynn Hills Golf Course. You’ll love my place because of the outdoors space and the neighborhood. There is a restaurant up the street open year round and in walking distance. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, business travelers, and families (with well behaved kids). Sorry no pets. Non Smoking. No parties or events.
  • I love this house. It is clean, comfortable and cozy. The communication with the co-host was extremely easy. There are manuals in the house (which I loved). They explained all things what to do and not to do there. Thank you very much for great experience.

  • Beautiful remote area, near Letchworth State Park, and the condo is extremely cozy. Quintessential stay in the Southern Tier

  • Celeste was a great host, though we didn't meet her but she was always easy to reach. Around 9pm, we found there was no microwave oven in condo, she sent one in 10 minutes. The surrounding was nice and scenic. The condo had a nice lodge like feel, however it was not toddler friendly. Check in and check out was very easy.

  • Neat and clean. Plenty of room for our family of 5 to spread out and sleep! No cell coverage, but wi-fi was available. Our kids enjoyed the trains that went nearby regularly. Thanks for a relaxing week.

  • The Good : Location was good. We based ourselves in Swan and did Letchworth State Park, Niagara Falls and Finger Lakes Wine Tastings Apartment was very spacious Celeste was responded to emails and texts and was reachable anytime Not So good: No phone coverage for Tmobile and AT&T, and this apartment does not have WIFI. Hence it was quite challenging to look for directions/plan etc. (The plus side: you can be completely cut off from the world and spend some quality time with friends an family) The people who was listed to be contacted if required were not available BUT Celeste was always available. Not much food choices around so it is better to grab some food on the way home Overall it was a good experience. We had a good time. Thank you Celeste

  • The directions and instructions were perfect. The condo was neat and cozy. The host was cordial and the arrangements were eminent. Just that there was no AT&T coverage (only verizon). Overall a great place and a cozy condo. I can come back here for skiing :)

Remote setting with plenty of room to run. Listen to the distant train whistle or mtn bike in local state land. Watch deer as you drink coffee in the am from your balcony. 45 min to ROCIf 6 is not enough room, other condo available that sleeps 12.
Close to Letchworth State Park, rated number one state park in the state.
  • We met gentleman there, welcome us to visit, and gave us contact information if we have any problems. We are very easy and comfortable.

    Wan2015-09-07T00:00:00Z
  • After the stressful time we had with finding the condo and checking in, we were very satisfied. The positives were the great price, the lovely setting, the space so 3 of us had private sleeping, 2 bathrooms and the ability to have a kitchen to prepare food. We left early and returned late going to a conference at Houghton, so we're not able to enjoy the living room space very much. The deck is nice, but nothing to sit on. The check in problem: I messaged Mike the day before our arrival. Since no response by the next morning, we just mapped Swain and went there hoping to find something. We tried knocking on doors in town with no success. Finally found some condos but not sure we were in the right place. There were signs on some doors with a phone # to contact with no names we recognized but wrote down the # and drove out of town until we had cell service to call the #. After we reached Dana and found that he knew Michael and was the one who could help us, we were very relieved.

    Pat2016-08-08T00:00:00Z
  • This experience was great! Michael was very accommodating. We reached very late into the night and he was okay with it, he left the doors unlocked for us. The condo was spacious and cozy and although we stayed only for a few hours to sleep, we loved it! And, we wish we could've stayed a bit more and enjoyed the beauty of the place. Definitely going back if we visit that region again !

  • It was easy to find the apartment, even if it looked like a problem at the beginning. It was a definitely small town, after all. Welcome sign was on the door, and the apartment itself was welcoming. I found it clean, with new improvements. Upstairs there was a kitchen and a dining table (that we had time to use) and a large living room (that we unfortunately did not have time to use) with very comfortable looking couches. The sleep was comfortable, linens and towels were provided. I liked that bedrooms were not adjacent to each other, it added extra privacy. Apartment is twenty minutes of the easy drive from Letchworth Park. I would recommend it to my friends who will be visiting this area. There is an Arrow Mart (24 hours) on the way from park where you can buy groceries at the gas station (junction Rt 70 and 24 North) and a Dunkin Donuts. Thank you again for letting us your place, we liked it very much.

  • My friends and I stayed in Michael condo for two nights. It was a perfect place for relaxing. Very cute condo. Very clean. Michael was so nice person and kind guy. We hadn't chance to meet him but he was in contact with us whenever I asked questions. Thanks Michael

  • My partner and I just spent nine nights at Michael's condo in Swain and we enjoyed every minute of our stay. Michael's directions to the condo were very easy to follow and we had no trouble finding it. The condo was clean, spacious, and comfortable. More than enough room for the two of us. In fact, a large family could be comfortable there. We particularly enjoyed the view from our balcony, and spent many mornings and evenings watching the deer. We had such a peaceful, relaxing stay. The only problem we encountered was quite minor... and that was easily remedied with an extension cord found in a drawer. Although Michael was out of the area during our stay, he provided us with several contact numbers, in case we needed anything or encountered any problems. We never needed to contact anyone but it was nice having that info, just in case. We enjoyed our stay immensely and really hope to stay there again during our next visit... only we want to stay longer. Nine nights just wasn't enough, especially during the beautiful autumn season! Advice for future travelers staying at Michael's Swain condos... (we stayed in condo 1, so this information only pertains to condo 1)..... *There are no TVs in the bedrooms. This wasn't a problem for us but it may be problematic for anyone who tends to fall asleep to the noise of a tv. *If you have a lot of electronic devices, bring a few extension cords or power strips. There are plenty of outlets upstairs but few easily-accessible downstairs. *There are lots of blankets, towels, and fans. Your comfort is pretty much ensured. *Bring large cone coffee filters for the coffee maker. There are coffee filters in the kitchen but they aren't the correct size. *Bring bottled water for drinking/cooking, unless you don't mind hard water. Thanks again Michael! Hope to stay again in the future!

  • We very much enjoyed our stay at Michael's condo! It had a nice balcony, very comfortable 2nd floor with Kitchen and Sofas. Perfect place to visit Letchworth state park and enjoy nature! Everything was clean and we didn't have any problems during our stay.

Immaculately furnished 2-bedroom condo at the foot of Swain Ski Resort. Ground floor bedrooms can sleep upto 6 persons. Washer/dryer and full bath in the same level. Upstairs is the "entertainment center" - a large living room with cathedral ceiling
Walk-in, walk-out. All you need are your personal belongings. Walk hours in the trails, valleys, mountains around, go fishing, ski in the winter. So much fun. If I had a job in the area, I would live there as my permanent home instead of vacation home. Great for SUNY Geneseo, SUNY Alfred, Houghton College, and other college faculties to rent year round.
WINTER: Just walk up to Swain Ski Resort for skiing, snowboarding, and tubing in the winter. SPRING, SUMMER and FALL: Hiking, biking, fishing, boating, canoeing, golfing or just lazing in your patio and taking in the surrounding hills, fall colors, and the night-time glow of the ski trails. Nearby places and events: Letchworth Park - "The Grand Canyon of the East"; Mount Morris Dam Recreational Area; NY Balloon Festival in Dansville, The Great Wellsville Balloon Rally, Waterskiing in Rushford Lake, Classical music concerts in Houghton College, events at Alfred University and SUNY Geneseo. Check out the Allegany County tourism website and Swain Ski Resort website for all details: http://www.discoveralleganycounty.com/ http://www.swain.com/
  • The view is great! The view of ski resort on the second floor is amazing even in summer time. The neighborhood is quite and clean. The house is comfy and cozy. Overall I'll choose this place again for ski trip in the winter time.

This is a quaint, yet spacious log cabin on 5 acres of private land located 10 min from Letchworth State Park! Beautiful view with sunsets over the park and stars at night. Trail with pond and creek. Very quiet. Campfires/ tents okay.
This space is unique because of the location. You will have more privacy than staying within the park, and are only a 10 min. drive from the north entrance. It is 15 minutes to Geneseo and 5 minutes to Nunda. There is a lot of space to set up a tent or a small pop-up camper.

  • David made our first airbnb experience superb! His property exceeded our expectations; providing plenty to do for all ages. We were comfortable in every way; bedding, temperature, outdoor cover, plenty of seating, amenities. The weekend went by way too quickly, and we spent some time discussing a return visit : )

  • We had a great time at this property. We were a small group, so the generous living conditions offered us lots of spaces for privacy as well as common gathering. It was an especially good fit for our little ones with the provided toys and swing set. We had a great time and hope to visit again next year!

100 acre private forest just 15 min. from Letchworth Park, N.Y. featuring a secluded cabin next to a cascading stream. The cabin is off the grid, with modern conveniences. The property contains 100 acres of forest, trails, and abundant wildlife. Swain Mountain Ski Resort is just 4 miles South, and 7,700 acres of NYS Wild Life Management Area is only 1/2 mile East!
The space is 100 Acres of private forest! Guests can bring a tent, RV, or... stay in the cabin! The rustically beautiful cabin is completely off the grid! (The cabin is easily accessible in both Summer & Winter.) Solar power provides 12 volt electricity for lighting. Oil lamps give a beautiful ambiance. Water is gravity fed. The bathroom is equipped with a composting toilet. LP gas powers the hot water, stove, and half-size refrigerator. A natural heating wood stove turns the cooler evenings comfortably cozy. (Note - December 1 - April 14 the cabin is dry. Water will be hauled in for you, and a camp shower facilitates hot showers. Our indoor composting toilet is unaffected by winter temps.) We encourage our guests to bring your own bedding, but bedding available at $15/bed, payable on arrival. (Let us know if you are requesting bedding). Bath towels, body wash & shampoo, percolating coffee pot, equipped kitchen, and a small library of outdoor & self-sufficiency books provided.
The very best thing about the neighborhood is that there are no neighbors! The property is situated off a seasonal use road, between two wooded ridges. Aside from the occasional vehicle traveling the road, you won't see or hear anyone who is not in your party! We like to joke that the Cabin Creek night-life is dominated by the wildlife... but that's no joke! In addition to the ever-present squirrels, chip monks & racoon, it is very common to see deer and wild turkey in our forest. The yipping-howls of coyotes are commonly heard after dark while guests sit around the campfire, and seldom-seen bobcats can be heard calling in the night several times a year. Very rare pine martin have been spotted on the property, along with bald eagles & great horned owls. Bears do frequent our area, coming from the 7,700 acre wildlife management area across the valley. Believe us or not, guests originally from Montana reported hearing Timber Wolf howls. Then, during the 2015 deer season, an Eastern Timber Wolf was observed as it passed by 2 different tree stands, judging by its extreme size and near-black color (Later in January, long, low howls were heard along the base of the ridge. Definitely not coyotes!). So if you're looking for an experience in a wild area... this is as wild as it gets in the entire Northeast!
  • The host made us feel very welcome. He was obviously very passionate about the property. We had a very nice time. The cabin was clean and had great character and details.

    Rajiv2015-08-17T00:00:00Z
  • I would merely sum up by saying that the cabin and its surroundings are exactly as described, even down to Dave's introduction when you arrive. I liked being there so much that I cut short my tour of Letchworth to come back and take advantage of being on such a wonderful piece of land in a remote--but not isolated--location. There is plenty to do and see right on the property. Dave and Terry are the best of a 100% good crop of hosts I have had in my short Airbnb history. I love staying in a place that is so obviously treasured by its owners.

    John2016-10-16T00:00:00Z
  • Our group thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Cabin Creek Getaway, in fact we plan on returning on a yearly basis! Dave the host was very friendly and down-to-earth. He explained the features of the cabin, property, and local attractions very well. The cabin was spacious for our large group and the beds were comfortable. Also, the front porch was an awesome spot to sit back and enjoy nature. The highlight of our weekend was exploring the hiking trails and visiting the waterfall, which required a moderate climb down a ravine using a rope. I highly recommend this cabin for any group that is looking for some relaxation in the outdoors.

    Joe2016-09-11T00:00:00Z
  • The cabin was perfect four our group of seven looking to get away from the city for the weekend. The owners are wonderful hosts and provided a wealth of information about things to do and see in the surrounding area. If you are looking for a secluded cabin experience to enjoy with family and friends, then this is the place for you.

    Ryan Carroll2016-05-02T00:00:00Z
  • Terry and David were supportive and greeting us when we arrived. Their cabin was clean, and it was exactly as described. In the last day, I found out that we could do much more, like hunting! Also, Niagara falls is 2 hours from the cabin. Thanks for having us David and Terry!

    Hadi2016-07-31T00:00:00Z
  • 7 of my friend and I stayed at Terry and her husband Dave's wonderful cabin for our fall break from college. Our overall experience was very good. The cabin itself is very well appointed for being 'off the grid'. The cabin is very secluded yet just a minute from the main road. Everything went off without a hitch and Terry and Dave were both very easy to communicate with. Dave was very helpful and welcoming along with his wife Terry. I highly recommend staying here.

    Douglas2014-11-03T00:00:00Z
  • Terry's cabin is such a wonderful place to get away! They were incredibly thoughtful hosts, and our girls (8 and 11) loved the remoteness and charm of this home. Both Letchworth and Stone Brook State Parks are a must while staying here. Otherwise we just loved being in the cabin, walking around the property, watching the deer in the fields at dusk, and listening for all the very diverse wildlife.

    Annie2017-07-25T00:00:00Z
  • My boyfriend and I took a road trip from PA to NY this weekend and the one place that we really wanted to visit was Letchworth State Park. When we were looking for cabins near Letchworth State Park we could hardly find any! The cabins in the actual park did not look that great and they did not have everything we wanted. I found this cabin and thought it was perfect! It was well worth the extra bit of money and had everything we needed and MORE! This cabin was a good 15 min drive to the park which we didn't mind at all. The cabin was on their property but it was still very secluded and very private. We definitely got the full camping experience here. Dave and Terry were great! They were very informational and very helpful! If we ever make the trip to Letchworth State Park again we would definitely stay at their cabin!

  • We had a lovely get-together with friends and Charlotte's place made for a relaxing backdrop. Charlotte herself was very a gracious hostess, and we had good communication throughout. The property is well-maintained and just a fabulous place to sit outside and relax, have a campfire, or see the stars on a clear night. My review is an enthusiastic 5 stars: to be sure, the house has some quirks, but for our group of 14 adults that's what made it memorable. The house is not a modern showpiece -- it is rustic and homey. It's reminiscent of a mountain cabin. The peak of the ceiling in the upstairs bed"rooms" -- as in, the TALLEST point -- is 5'4". Most of the beds are upstairs, so if you need more than what's on the main floor (a king, a queen sofa bed, and a full bunk bed with an upper twin that should only be used by small children) plan to duck! You should also know that the water from the tap smells of sulfur. It just happens some places. Nothing you can really do about it. We brought our own water to drink, and Charlotte provides a water cooler in the kitchen as well. Be prepared when showering though. If you aren't used to it, you will be taken aback. If the weather permits, definitely plan to use one of the fire pits for a campfire or bonfire. There is plenty of cut brush to burn but bringing a cord of firewood with you wouldn't be a bad idea. If you have kids, or adults who think they're kids, they can enjoy hunting for snails, frogs and toads near the pond, or bring a fishing rod and catch some small fish. Thanks, Charlotte, for a fun stay and some great memories!

    Karen2017-07-30T00:00:00Z
  • Excellent place. Location is beautiful with very beautiful house. Charlotte was always reachable on phone. All beds, blankets and entire house was clean. We were 15 adults and all were accommodated nicely. Great kitchen with big dining table. She also arranged bonfire. Check in and Checkout process is very easy. Will stay again if I visit that area.

    Arpan2017-10-08T00:00:00Z
  • A group of 8 of us visited Charlotte's home for 4th of July weekend. Prior to our stay, Charlotte answered every question I had. Upon our arrival, Charlotte met us at the home to give us a tour and explain it's many features. She was pleasant, inviting, and very accommodating. The house was great. Plenty of rooms, plenty of beds, a great sound system for any music. The kitchen was enormous - plenty of room to cook and socialize. The outdoor seating area accommodated our entire group. The multiple fire pits were great at night. The house was very clean and comfortable. The surrounding area was extremely private, but there are restaurants, grocery stores and other activities within 10 minutes. Overall, we had a tremendous time at Charlotte's home. If you are looking for a secluded, clean, and comfortable family-friendly location then Charlotte's Gray Goose Lodge is perfect.

    Kyle2017-07-03T00:00:00Z
  • Charlotte was very accommodating. The place was clean, well stocked with plenty of blankets, pillows, towels, kitchen utensils, and chairs. Any questions I had were promptly answered via text. It was a little muddy, but so is everywhere after the wettest spring ever. Would definitely stay with Charlotte again!

    Jason2017-07-03T00:00:00Z
  • Great host and awesome place!

    Alex2017-06-18T00:00:00Z
  • Charlotte's place is a great cottage in the Finger Lakes. She was easy to communicate with. We had a good family vacation there. But, I do think the description should mention that the rooms/ beds upstairs have no doors and low ceiling. I loved the idea of attic space but found it quite impractical when I hit my head on the ceiling both mornings. The tap water smells of sulphur quite a bit...but it's a cottage. I just think it should be mentioned...shouldn't be a deal breaker.

    Calden2017-07-23T00:00:00Z
  • We had a fantastic time spending the weekend at Gray Goose Lodge for my bachelorette party! It was a perfect spot for my friends from around NY to gather and spend the weekend. The house was great and slept all 9 of us comfortably. The large kitchen became a gathering place for us throughout the weekend. We spent Saturday enjoying the region, visiting a handful of wineries that were all within 20 minutes. The fire pit is great for a large crowd. Neighbors are far enough away that you can laugh and enjoy the property without disturbing anyone. Charlotte was an amazing host! She responded so quickly to all my questions and even provided some referrals for wineries in the area.

    Sara2017-08-07T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful location, with plenty of beds and space. Kitchen and bathrooms worked great. Charlotte was a pleasure to work with and even met me in person to walk us through the house. This is great for people with lots and lots of children as the bedrooms on the second floor are really meant for children or you'll be ducking quite a lot.

  • Robb was a stellar host, very quick to respond and extremely helpful! His cabin is on a hilltop in a serene and scenic setting. He was very sweet, came to meet us when we arrived with a bottle of wine :) He also gave us a lot of suggestions and detailed ideas for places to visit nearby and fun activities which we ended up using.we grilled the entire weekend, both on the outdoor fire pit and gas grill and he was very helpful in providing resources for all that. He even has Kan-jam and we had a blast playing that the entire weekend !! Absolute best time and no complaints at all

  • If your looking for peace and quiet this is without question the best place to find it. I had a family getaway at Robb's Cabin this past weekend for my uncles and cousins. So much space to play can jam, corn hole and football. We used Robb's huge outdoor grill and literally had ate like kings. Campfire and beers at night with the sounds of the great out doors, this place is a pure gem. Plenty of parking, which was great for us because we all drove individually. Robb was a great host, he supplied fire wood linens, paper towel, sheets. He also gave us a nice bottle of wine! Lakes are very close by as well which was a great perk. My family had a great weekend and I plan on coming back in the future. Thanks Robb!

Robb left us lots of helpf information about local grocerie stores, etc, and always answered right away if we had any questions. He also had an amazing fire pit and provided a kit complete with dry wood, lighter, and newspaper to make starting the fire super easy. He had the best folding chairs and hammock I have ever used. We also enjoyed having breakfast at the outdoor table with ubrella. The scenery was a beautiful and quiet. I hope we can get back here some day soon!! Kristina

  • Excellemt B&B located strategically just two minutes off the interstate and with a short drive to Letchworth State Park , Watkins Glen State Park and also Amish country. We ate so well at breakfast, and also bonus dessert in the evening, we were well sustained for our daily travels over three days. Will likely be back.

  • We were on a college tour with our son and stayed at this wonderful bed and breakfast hosted by Suzie and Kennith. Everything was perfect and they made sure that anything we needed was taken care of. The rooms were extremely comfortable and clean. The bathroom, with its large walk in shower and heated floors, was spotless. The homemade breakfast was delicious and they made us feel like family. We can't wait to go back. Treat yourself to a home away from home and go visit the Hunky Dory Bed and Breakfast.

  • Sue and Ken were fibulas host. Sue made homemade soup that was so delicious Gordan Ramsey would have ordered seconds. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was newly renovated with a walk-in shower. Sue and Ken were great conversationalist over many topics and local historians. Sue also had snacks out throughout my stay. I will stay here again when I have business at St. James Hospital. Noah Rochester, NY

  • Suz & Kenneth are wonderful hosts. Warm, friendly and very accommodating. My mother and I had a lovely time with them...even if it was short.

    Shauna2017-10-07T00:00:00Z
  • The best part of Airbnb for us is the hosts. Suz and Ken are friendly and helpful. Their place is comfortable, clean and quite inviting. Suz makes -hands down- the best strawberry shortcake we've even had and the attention to detail on the food, bedroom and conversation is both enviable and something I couldn't learn from. There is no question that either age begets fine manners or I need more lessons on how to make others feel so comfortable. Wonderful company in a wonderful home.

    Craig2017-07-02T00:00:00Z
  • The house was cozy, warm and welcoming. Suz and Ken are wonderful hosts. I would definitely stay again!

  • I can't imagine a better first Air BnB experience! Extremely accommodating host. A late check-in was met with a snack and lovely conversation. The room was cute with an absolutely heavenly bed! Very thorough communication before the stay, made me feel comfortable and welcomed. Clear directions made finding the home easy, even at dusk. Guest rooms are upstairs if that is a concern to some. The bathroom was small but completely new and more like a "mini spa." Suz went above and beyond to make my short visit to nearby Hornell go well. Even going so far as to drive me around town! Absolutely delighted with my stay, can't say enough good about it!

  • We stayed for one night while exploring the northern NY state - the house is beautiful and the host family are wonderfully accommodating and friendly. Breakfast was excellent and they even fed us lunch before we departed. Our need was just for a place to sleep between travel days, but I'm sure this would work as a good base of operations for a longer stay as well!

  • Christopher's studio is even better than the photos and description suggest!!! With horses and chickens on the property, a forest behind it, and one of the Finger Lakes a short hike away, it is the perfect spot for a nature lover's getaway. Chris was a gracious and helpful host (and incredibly understanding about our later-than-expected arrival time). I was delighted to find tons of thoughtful extras (delicious apple cider, chocolate speaker)...and even enjoyed trying the compostible toilet. As an added bonus, the comfortable bed and peaceful surroundings make it great place to sleep! Terrific studio + terrific host = 5 stars!!

Ever thought of going Green? Staying off the grid completely, relying on solar and wind power? This cozy cabin is hiding in the woods on 7 acres of land with trails, mountain creeks, access to snow mobile and off road trails. It is surrounded by a nature conservancy and has Gorgeous scenic views, overlooking a beautiful valley. It is strategically located in the heart of the Finger Lakes wine country, minutes from lake access, wine tours, restaurants, attractions and Hunt Hollow Ski Club.
Great picnic and bonfire area as well as large open yard for kids to run and play.
Last Cabin at the end of the road so you have privacy with no vehicles driving by. Road is not a seasonal road so it is plowed in the winter.
  • Beautiful views, quiet environment, but just minutes from stores and restaurants in Naples. It was fun living on solar power. And did I mention the views? Paul and Jill were very flexible and welcoming, and extremely easy to communicate with. All in all, a fantastic respite from city life.

    Linda2017-08-03T00:00:00Z
  • Peaceful and beautiful spot, everything we wanted for an "unplugged" weekend away. Cabin was impeccably clean and we had fun getting to know oil lanterns and solar power. And Naples was so friendly and delicious... Grape picking, Joseph's Wayside Market, Brats & Brews, Inspire Moore Winery and Roots Cafe (best burger on Earth - go there.)

    Alicia2017-09-17T00:00:00Z
  • A perfect escape, Jill was there when we arrived to explain the solar power and make sure that everything was just right.

    Trevor2017-07-16T00:00:00Z
  • A very charming and cozy cabin, perfect for either a romantic getaway or a family vacation.

    Edwin2017-09-24T00:00:00Z
  • A little piece of heaven for the last few days. The porch swing was the most peaceful spot. The view is incredible. The cottage was so clean, having everything we needed and more. Living off grid was simpler than we thought and was not a hindrance whatsoever, we will stay at an off grid vacation again thanks to this experience. You have inspired us to seek out solar panel living!

  • Patti was very easy to communicate with and had everything we needed this weekend! The property alone is breath taking then you walk inside to a gorgeous cozy cabin! I loved my stay here so cozy and comfy!

    Kasey2016-11-09T00:00:00Z
  • The place was beautiful cozy and well thought out. There were nice touches throughout and we felt very welcome there. We enjoyed the indoor and outdoor fireplaces, as well as the hiking trails behind the house (they are a bit steep though, but a great workout). We would definitely consider staying here again and for longer.

    Richard2016-10-10T00:00:00Z
  • We were looking for a quiet, peaceful getaway and found it at Lone Oak. Patti and Amanda have done a wonderful job making their cabin functional, welcoming, and a perfect spot to relax and enjoy nature. Days were spent on the deck in the sunshine or exploring the quaint town of Naples. Nights by the fire under the stars. We are already talking about a return visit.

    Rich2017-07-08T00:00:00Z
  • Trails right out the back yard, adjacent waterfalls, amazing clearing for star gazing while being cozy at the outdoor fireplace. This was the perfect, un-plugging stay for us to get away from the city! So, quiet and peaceful...and Patti was very accommodating for us coming a bit early to do some hiking too! Also a quick 10 min (6 mile) drive to near by Naples for any supplies needed too!

    Brian2017-04-16T00:00:00Z
  • If you want a quiet plasce to rest and relax this is a great place to go.

    David2016-12-26T00:00:00Z
  • My girlfriend and I had a wonderful weekend at the Lone Oak Cabin. The house is very secluded and quiet in the evenings and a great way to have a getaway. There is cell service if you need it (I actually had better signal than my house in the city), but its a great place to disconnect.

    Taylor2016-10-03T00:00:00Z
  • Everything was on point. You only need to bring food and clothes, and everything else was provided like towels, plates, bowls, glasses, bed sheets, etc. It was easy to find and very quiet and peaceful. We would recommend it and plan to go back in the future. -Cal & Kelli

  • Our family had a wonderful time at the McCoy home on Conesus Lake. The house and grounds are lovely. The house is stocked with most everything you would need except your food. The house was very clean and neat, however the lake level was a bit musty. Neighbors are very nice. We made some new friends.

    Lois2017-07-22T00:00:00Z
  • This place is comforting and has an amazing view of the lake in the backyard. My family and I sat outside to watch the sunset and it was such a sight to see. The weather was a bit chilly so couldn't go into the lake, but will certainly come back next year when the weather is warmer. Jenn is a great host.

    Tonia2017-09-01T00:00:00Z
  • This house is totally updated and beautiful! It's in a great location on the lake. There are many amenities that added to the pleasure of being there. There is a beautiful deck right off the main part of the house that offers great views. The house can easily accommodate six to eight people. The kitchen has wonderful appliances and is generally very well equipped. Bath linens and sheets are included. There is a washer/dryer, huge TV with a Roku which gave us more options for Netflix. We hope to go back someday. Without hesitation I would strongly recommend this house for either a quiet couple getaway or to enjoy with family and friends. Thank you again, Jenn for all your help and responsiveness to any of the questions we had.

    Marianna2017-10-23T00:00:00Z
  • Would definitely stay with Jenn again! Such a beautiful home, with a gracious & accommodating host.

  • What a wonderful experience we had staying at this bakehouse! We were there during Easter weekend, way before tourist season, so it was a very quiet peaceful place to retreat to. The house is so lovely, with all new furniture, and appliances. The kitchen is very well equipped to handled any cooking. The pantry was well stocked with great breakfast items and coffee was endlessly available. All the beds were so comfortable. The bathrooms were stocked with items if you forgot something (like toothbrushes, combs, bath soap, etc) Jenn, the host, drove down from Rochester to meet us when we arrived and gave us a tour and explained house rules, etc. We highly recommend this place.

    Diane2017-04-18T00:00:00Z
  • We really enjoyed our stay on the lake! Our family loved the amenities (snacks, extra toiletries, games, etc.) and the beautiful view. Jenn went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed and was very responsive. There's little notes and labels all through the house and a binder full of nearby things to do. Overall, we would definitely stay again in the future!

    Greg2017-07-15T00:00:00Z
  • As you step down onto the stone pathway to the house you are immediately greeted by a "Welcome"sign. Jenn the manager of this delightful lake house communicated with me from start to finish and the owners called during my stay to be sure I was comfortable. The house is a classic style lake cottage that has been newly remodeled with a comfortable contemporary style and all the amenities you need. The high rise deck over-looking the lake provides the ideal spot for entertaining and enjoying the most incredible sunsets. I stayed during the week and was pleasantly surprised at the calm and quiet of this beautiful lake. Whether you are in the area for work as I was, or looking for some "getaway" time, this setting is a must-see!

  • All I can say is wow! So charming, welcoming and lovely! Awesome host who's thought of everything!

  • From the moment we walked through the doors we felt welcomed by the owner. Every room is tastefully decorated with comfort in mind. This well kept home has a beautiful view of the lake, and we were delighted to be able to look at the stars at night and the sun rising over the lake in the morning. We enjoyed walking around the lake and noted how peaceful it is here. The guide left by the hostess was a great help as we are new to the area. Since our visit was during the winter, we plan to return for a longer stay in the summer in order to enjoy this 'gem' of a lake getaway.

  • Linda was an exceptional host! Her three-story, gorgeous lake house offers exquisite panoramic views of Conesus Lake, and was the ideal end to our NY vacation. Linda provided a wonderful array of personal touches for our arrival, including fresh flowers, snacks galore, the essentials in the fridge (eggs, milk, cheese etc), and the table set with a divine bottle of wine! Such luxury! Linda was easily contactable throughout our stay, and nothing was too much trouble. If you are looking for a relaxing getaway, I cannot recommend Linda's lake house highly enough :) A little slice of paradise. Thanks again, Linda!

  • From the time I saw Linda's home online I knew we were going to have a great vacation. She treats her guests as if we're staying in a five star resort. Fresh flowers, full breakfast, snacks...The patio is wonderful, can choose what comfortable chair you want and whether you want sun or shade. Bedrooms are comfortable and bathrooms offer nice soaps and towels in each one! In addition to the home, loved the neighborhood. General Store is a cool place to hang out. Loved our time at Linda's on Conesus.

  • I felt welcome even before my actual arrival in that Linda/Jenn made sure they covered every detail of the logistics relating to my arrival the evening/day before I was to arrive. The house is lovely, immaculate and very well decorated. Linda/Jenn even left my favorite beverage for me-------an unexpected treat! My stay was relaxing and I felt very comfortable in the space, that included many small thoughtful touches and amenities. I loved every minute and can't wait to go back. Even in cooler weather it was lovely to be at such a peaceful and beautiful lake property!

  • Second stay again wonderful. Jenn was an amazing and pleasant communicator. She catered to our every need. Beautiful home and outstanding view of the lake and outdoors. Had a restful and cozy stay visiting family in the area. Linda takes great pride in and care of her home and we treated it as if it were our own. Hope others will do the same so she will continue blessing others through her lovely home. Looking forward to a third stay! ~ Mrs. Anderson (Texas)

For travelers ($50 single/$85 for two) who are looking for a peaceful stay to write or renew. Near beautiful quiet lakes with wonderful hiking and running trails. A great location for Winery and Craft Brewery tours around Naples and Canandaigua.
Stay with us on our dairy goat farm in the Finger Lakes on Canadice Hill in a private sleeping cabin overlooking a quiet pond. In the adjacent private bathhouse is a coffee/tea bar with mini-fridge and microwave...small campfires are okay. Short distances to kayaking, scenic bicycling and great hiking and running trails. Or just enjoy farm life during your stay. This is a perfect get away from it all - walk in the woods place to stay. We are at 2000 ft. elevation and it is always a little cooler up here...best to come in the Summer or early Fall. Bicycle travelers welcome!
  • Beautiful location, clean cabin, absolutely idyllic and adorable. Loved it!

  • We were drawn to Jane's farm because of all her other amazing reviews...guess what? They are all true! Jane is a lovely host, she has the prettiest farm with great animals, a pond, delicious goat milk, she's right near Harriet Hollister Spencer Recreation Area (good for hiking, running, great views), and the cottage is so clean and cute and private. Loved talking to Jane while watching the turkeys and goats play. Could not have asked for anything more relaxing. We had a perfect stay. Thank you Jane!

  • Another great stay at Summer Hills Farm! Love the cozy cabin, brilliant stars and deep peaceful nights. Always enjoy my stay here!

    Pamela2014-07-08T00:00:00Z
  • Wonderful cabin in a beautiful, tranquil setting. The cabin and washroom were private, spotlessly clean, and quite comfortable. I loved sitting on the veranda and watching the stars. Jane was always responsive and friendly during booking and our stay. I couldn't recommend this cabin more highly!

    Gabrielle2014-07-17T00:00:00Z
  • My husband and I had a wonderful weekend stay at Jane's farm. We enjoyed watching the silly goats and the chickens and we even got to feed the baby goats! Relaxing on the front porch of the cabin looking out over the pond was just what the doctor ordered. Everything was very clean and tidy with many thoughtful supplies left such as coffee and sugar. I might recommend grabbing a jug of water to bring since we weren't fond of the tap water flavor. I highly recommend grabbing dinner at the Mill Creek Cafe and also to take a hike at Harriet Hollister park right next door. We would definitely return to the goat farm!

    Hannah2015-06-15T00:00:00Z
  • This was a great little cabin on Jane's goat farm. It was nicely situated with enough privacy from the main house, but still with beautiful views of the pond and surrounding area. It was really interesting speaking with Jane about her goats and lifestyle. In terms of the accommodation, the cabin was great with enough space and very useful heaters. The bath house and kitchenette were also great. My only problem was that we were feeling limited in terms of cooking. There was a microwave, but nothing to actually cook food. We built a fire and cooked our dinner over the fire which was fun and fine for us, but it was sort of makeshift. For two days, this was not a problem, though. We would definitely go back to Jane's farm, as there is so much surrounding beauty to be appreciated at the finger lakes.

    Morgan 2012-08-21T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely little cabin in a beautiful location; friendly cats and goats on the premises; a chorus of bullfrogs around the pond at night; very pleasant host.

My place has a great view of Conesus Lake from the queen-sized bed in the bedroom. There's a level waterfront lawn. You’ll love it here because of the quiet, the setting, the ambiance, and a large covered deck overlooking the lake. The bedroom and bathroom are small, but there's plenty of space available on the ground floor including the kitchen, a separate room for your luggage, the large living room, and the spacious deck.
The bedroom has a queen-sized bed with a Tempur-pedic mattress, a closet, a hard chair, and a night stand with a clock-radio. (It's possible to book a third adult on a single cot with air mattress in a separate room for $20 extra.)
Conesus Lake is a residential area in a rural setting. The dwellings on the north and south of my home are seasonal and only occupied in the warmer months. Except for the occasional Friday or Saturday night in the summer until 11:00 p.m., this is usually a very quiet neighborhood.
  • Very quiet area with a scenic view overlooking the lake. Dennis was a great host that went out of his way to provide a BBQ if needed and also provided wood for us to have a fire down by the water. Great experience.

    Penny2017-06-25T00:00:00Z
  • Dennis is an amazing host! His place is worth a visit. Arriving at Dennis' place he had already prepared some chairs by the lake for us. We went swimming, the lake is very clean and warm in the summer. Dennis helped us even to prepare dinner and breakfast. We hope to come back soon and can highly recommend a stay with Dennis!

    Christian2017-07-29T00:00:00Z
  • Great spot not too far from Letchworth State Park. Bed was super comfortable. View of the lake from the porch was pretty. Dennis was beyond accommodating, even welcoming us when we rolled in after 10 pm, and helping us make breakfast in the morning. Very interesting fellow...we enjoyed meeting him before we had to rush off for our day of hiking! While we were packing up, he printed us directions to the park and directions to the highway. So nice.

    Joelle2017-07-02T00:00:00Z
  • It is a comfortable place, an outstanding value to stay on the lake, and Dennis is a delightful host.

    Ken2017-08-24T00:00:00Z
  • My friend and I stayed at Dennis's place for one night and we highly recommend it! The space is clean and bed was very comfy. The bedroom has just enough space for a queen bed and chair, but as there is another room for luggage, this wasn't a problem, so even though this listing doesn't have a pic of the bedroom don't let that deter you! We especially enjoyed talking with Dennis, who had a lot of life advice and interesting stories to offer. The house is right on a peaceful lake, and we also drove to Letchworth, which we recommend checking out as well. I'd definitely stay with Dennis again!

    Maple2017-06-20T00:00:00Z
  • We thoroughly enjoyed our mini-vacation on Conesus lake. Dennis is a very accommodating host who made us feel welcome and safe during out two night stay.

Literature of local areas of interest and a (pine hill introduce the wide range of possibilities in the finger lakes region of New York
  • A perfect getaway. Stephen was a wonderful host, both responsive and helpful. And the cabin itself was a delight: cute, comfortable, clean, well-appointed, and very private. Thoughtful touches abound, like the freshly-filled bird feeder, and a bucket of cedar shavings to help start a fire. If you go, make sure you walk up to the wind turbines: they're truly awe-inspiring.

    Stephen2015-07-12T00:00:00Z
  • Stephen's cabin is peaceful and calm. The location is very private and the property is gorgeous. The field by the bunkhouse provided scenic views of the surrounding area. The cabin had just about everything you could ask for except Wi-Fi but the area has good reception and it's good to put down the phone for some time anyways. We enjoyed the annual Grape Festival and exploring wineries on Lake Seneca. We would certainly return in the future.

    Anthony2017-09-24T00:00:00Z
  • Stephen is great to deal with. The cabin is nice, very secluded. A relaxing, peaceful getaway. Thanks!

    Kevin2017-10-18T00:00:00Z
  • It was a great stay at Pine Hill Retreat. We were fortunate to see snow, though it made it a little treacherous to get there. But Stephen was so nice to direct us to the cabin when we had a hard time finding it once the sun set! We got to the cabin, it was all lit up and nice and warm for our stay. We played games, watched some TV while there and enjoyed our stay and had fun exploring the area. It is a place we would go to again.

    Millie2013-12-02T00:00:00Z
  • A friend and I rented the cabin for a weekend in May. We had a great time cooking out on the fire pit and enjoying the seclusion. Steve was a great host, responded quickly and made us feel welcome

  • Great retreat in a beautiful part of the finger lakes

    Lauren2017-10-29T00:00:00Z
  • If you are looking for a private and secluded cabin in the woods, with modern-day conveniences, this is the perfect getaway! The cabin was very well-taken care of and clean. We also loved that our dogs were welcome, as we had two 15 lb dogs. They both loved being off-leash and having the freedom to explore the surrounding area around the cabin. I am glad that we did not have to worry about traffic, other dogs or other people coming anywhere near the cabin, which would have been a major distraction for both our dogs and ourselves. The fire pit was awesome, as well as the use of the outdoor charcoal grill. I think the icing on the cake was the 30 acres of land that you could walk/explore. The path up to through the woods to the wind turbines was beautiful and you end-up on top of a grassy hill where the bunkhouse, where you are greeted by an amazing view. I highly recommend bringing a blanket to the top of the grassy knoll near the bunkhouse to watch the sunset! I also loved the surrounding cornfields, which is of course is seasonal… but we stayed the first weekend of August and the corn was nice and high! All-in-all, our stay at Pine Hill Retreat far exceed our expectations and we’d love to come-back again!

    Shannon2017-08-06T00:00:00Z
  • I had never stayed in a log cabin before, so I was looking forward to coming here. When I arrived, I was far from being disappointed. The cabin is actually situated in the woods on a mountain—just a short walk up the backyard opens into some great scenery. Driving up was quite fun in a Rav4, but I'm not sure how sedans or coupes would fare, especially with snow. We had snow the whole weekend, when no place else down in town did, and the stove top fireplace worked brilliantly. Stephen was easy to contact and keeps a neat, easy, rugged little place. Nothing extra special or fancy about it, but it certainly stands well on its own.

We want you to relax! There is plenty of time to be over-stimulated by everyday life; why not come take a deep breath of Finger Lake air and unwind? We offer 9 acres of open fields, creeks and trails. You will most likely run into a chicken or turkey so if you want fresh eggs just ask! In the heart of NY wine country we are a perfect starting and ending point for a tour. Minutes from Naples/Honeoye, hiking trails/ waterfalls/gullies, boat launches, hunting, and ski slopes.
We do live on the property, but are happy to give you as much space as you like.
Hunt Hollow is a beautiful spot in the Finger Lakes. We are nestled at the bottom of the valley so we have a 360 degree fantastic view of the hills!
  • Kelly is kind, courteous and very helpful and responsive to emails. She greeted us when we arrived to make sure we were settled in ok, even though it was later than we had hoped. The location is beautiful and relatively close to places we wanted to go in the Finger Lakes region. We absolutely loved the animals on the property - the chickens, ducks and turkeys are friendly, (they greeted us when we opened the door!) personable and were a highlight of the trip. The home is clean, but the reason for four stars and not five is because it was a fine place to stay, but there were no surprises of hospitality like other Airbnb's I've been to. (I.e., others have provided snacks, breakfast, coffee, water, toiletries, etc. and seemed to go above and beyond expectations). The beds are comfortable but there are no nightstands (so no lamp near bed for when you are reading, the upstairs lamp is on the floor), no rug in living room, no outside light. The appliances were in the cupboards, so we didn't realize there was a toaster or coffee pot until the last morning (though if we would have asked, I know Kelly would have responded quickly and helped us.) There are just a few small details that could be added to bring the rating up, but the price is reasonable for the area, and I would stay there again. I wish we could have enjoyed the patio more - it has a beautiful view!

    Michelle2017-10-08T00:00:00Z
  • Love this place! But my phone company is T-mobile and my phone had no service the entire time in the house so if someone wants to make a phone call make sure they do not have T-mobile other than that the view was amazing. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone.

  • This place was a great escape from our normal day to day routines. It is located 6 miles from one town, and 8 miles from another. When the night sky is clear, you can see an incredible scene of stars in the sky. We recommend taking some time and driving around back roads, getting lost and enjoying the country. We came across some wonderful views. There is a park 7 miles away with an easy to walk to waterfall. Even with Kelly having 5 kids, we felt by ourselves most of the time. Kelly and her husband Chris were super easy to talk to and took care of all our concerns. Fantastic hosts! No TV or wifi and service is spotty but a great place for a simple getaway! They also have ducks, chickens, and turkeys!

  • Great getaway to take a break from the city life! Kelly and her husband are wonderful hosts. Answered my messages promptly and ensured a great stay (:

  • Kelly's place is really nice for spending a weekend away from civilization and enjoying nature (which is exactly what we were looking for). It is conveniently located ~10 minutes driving from Naples and ~5 from Honeoye lake, so moving around is quite easy. The apartment is very nice and clean, Kelly is super friendly, and they provide a wide array of board-games and a badminton set for the use of the guests. Thanks, Kelly.

  • This quiet retreat in the heart of the Finger Lakes is a fantastic place to get away from the hustle bustle of the electronic world. Biking, Swimming, and Hiking are all on your doorstep. Great for couples or Families.

    Lisa2017-10-14T00:00:00Z
  • Kelly and Chris were lovely hosts. They were friendly and communicated well. The setting was picturesque with rolling hills and several acres on the property. Our kids really enjoyed waking up to the chickens, turkeys, and ducks that roamed the property. It takes 10 to 15 minutes to reach the nearest towns of Naples and Honeoye and both have good restaurants and places to pick up supplies. We recommend going out on the patio and looking at the night sky; the stars are spectacular.

Our summer cottage is close to Geneseo, NY (7 miles) & Rochester (30 miles), NY. Niagara Falls is only 1.5 hour drive away. You’ll love our place because of the fantastic wrap around porch overlooking beautiful Conesus Lake. Good for couples and families (with kids). 150 feet of lakefront frontage.
  • We had a fantastic time at David's beautiful family home. You can tell this home has been loved by many generations, each leaving its mark. This is not a sterile hotel, it is living history. Like stepping into a time machine that takes you back to a simpler, quieter, time. Simply magic. Spacious, with and endless porch, wonderful back yard, lots of lake frontage. One of the most relaxing and enjoyable weeks of my life. We can't wait to come back. David and family were warm and welcoming and always quick to respond to questions.
