Places to stay in Deadwood

Places to stay in Deadwood
This cozy house overlooks downtown Deadwood. You’ll love my place because of the location. It is a quick walk away from all the downtown activities. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, business travelers, families (with kids), and furry friends (pets).
It is so close to downtown that you can park and walk and not worry about taking a cab for anything.
The beautiful views of the Black Hills
  • Deadwood is a great place to stay. Historic and beautiful! The house is in a great location. Please note... you will need to walk your dogs to go potty. It’s On a mountain and not a lot of grass. I would highly recommend this location!

  • This little house is perfect! It was a great price and sooo easy to get downtown Deadwood from here!

  • Great location! Quick walk to town. Dan answered and questions I had quickly. Super fun to sleep in adult bunk beds with our friends.

  • Great location

    Todd2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • Dan is a great host and the house is perfect for a weekend getaway in Deadwood. Close enough to walk to town and enough for two parking spaces.

    Jackie2020-01-12T00:00:00Z
  • This is a great little private house right above the main drag in Deadwood. There was enough parking space for my full size pickup, a small rockscaped area for my dog to do his business, and just a 100yrd walk to a parking garage where stairs or an elevator take you down to mainstreet between Deadwood Tobacco shop and Mustang Sallys. The house was clean and comfortable, had a huge queen sized double bunk, and there was great hot water with tons of pressure. The unit has a nice sofa and recliner, and large TV with shelves full of movies. Expect everything you would normally have at home. Will definitely be staying here again.

    Ethan2020-01-08T00:00:00Z
  • Great space, but a little tight for 6 people. Great location, just a couple steps down the street is a parking garage with stairs that take you right down to Main.

    Megan2020-01-05T00:00:00Z
  • Perfect location for a few days in Deadwood. Within easy walking distance from main street, which was perfect for our small group so we could and go as we please without needing to hassle with parking or taxis.

This apartment is located in Deadwood's beautiful Presidential neighborhood. What used to be the original jail house now is recently remodeled with new carpet, kitchen, and bathroom. This historic structure is located only 5 blocks from Downtown and only a few short blocks from Mt. Moriah cemetery where the infamous Wild Bill Hickok and Calamity Jane are buried.
Thick concrete walls which used to house prisoners is one of the unique features of this property. This is a one bedroom unit that will sleep 6 people comfortably as it has a full size bed along with twin log bunk beds in the bedroom and a queen size sofa sleeper in the living room.
The Historic Presidential District is a very nice, quiet neighborhood with many different architectural structures of dwellings. It is still facinating to me to stroll around and think of how things may have used to have been. Mt. Moriah cemetery is a short walk from the old jail where the likes of Wild Bill Hickok and Calamity Jane are resting in peace side by side (or are they??)
  • Great location and an excellent value not to mention the historical significance, if you’re into it

Queen bed in historic 1905 bed and breakfast style house! Renovating part of the house, but the bedroom is complete. Access to shared kitchen, dining room, living room, bath room and laundry! 3 miles from Deadwood and 3 miles from the base of Terry peak! Great location to enjoy the northern Black Hills. This is a mountain town; houses are crooked and streets are narrow, but that’s what gives it its charm. Pets are allowed with a $10.00 pet fee, this will be charged after booking.
Centrally located in the black hills.
Close to downtown. One block from our local micro brew. Within two blocks off other bars and restaurants downtown.

Stay in one of our two queen bedrooms on the second floor. Both are cozy rooms with wood furniture, warm tones, and large windows with plenty of natural light. Please note that these bedrooms share a large tiled bathroom.
The 1899 Inn is Deadwood's only turn-of-the-century inn with full breakfast service. Nestled in the town's Presidential District (all the streets in the neighborhood are named after American presidents), the house is in one of the oldest and most prestigious quarters in the city. No more than a five-minute walk from the important stuff, including the casinos and historic buildings on Main Street, the Adams Museum and the Mickelson Trail. The Adams House is just five houses over, and Mount Moriah Cemetery, the final resting place of Wild Bill Hickok and Calamity Jane, is a few minutes walk to the top of our hill. The home itself is one of the biggest Victorians built in Deadwood, with seven bedrooms and five bathrooms. It has original woodwork and stained glass, but we've updated and modernized the plumbing (endless hot water!), HVAC (central heat and air conditioning!), and electrical. It was constructed in 1899 by H.B. Wardman, one of those rich-but-never-famous Deadwood businessmen who was mayor of the town in the 1920s. The house still has a lot of the original fixtures and 19th century technology (call bells, gas lighting fixtures, etc.). This listing is for either of our two second-floor guest bedrooms. The Maid's Room is room is a little smaller than the other bedrooms in the house, but has a queen bed and antique walnut-and-marble dresser with mirror. Views are of the historic barn next door, the meadow behind the house, and uphill to Mount Moriah Cemetery. The Nursery Room, across the hall, is also a queen bedroom. It is a little bigger and has tall, bright, bay windows. If you book this room in the summer, you could be in either room. If you have a preference when making your reservation, please send us a note! The bathroom isn't en suite - it's a short walk down the hall - and it has a large clawfoot tub and heated tile floor. Use of the bathroom is shared between these two rooms, which means you may be sharing with strangers. Don't worry - our guests are very polite and courteous! If you have any questions about this arrangement, or would like to specifically request either the Maid's Room or the Nursery (or both!), please send us a note before you reserve, and we'll be happy to try and help you out! Please note that we cannot guarantee one room or the other for Instant Bookings made without a previous inquiry, but we promise both rooms are comfortable, and the bottle of bubble bath is available to everyone! Other bedrooms in the house are available as their own Airbnb listing, including two king rooms on the third floor and the cozy old library on the ground floor. Because it's an old neighborhood with limited space, there isn't any off-street parking. There's always plenty of room on the street in front of the house, but be sure to let us know if you've got a large trailer or RV.
Deadwood's Presidential District got its name because the streets in the neighborhood are named for every American president from Washington to Lincoln (with two exceptions - if you're traveling with a history buff, challenge them to figure out who they are). It was Deadwood's trendiest neighborhood from the 1890s through the 1920s, and most of the homes here date to that period. It has some of the biggest and best examples of Victorian architecture in the city. Because of the gold mining industry, the homes here were built with the latest technology, including telephones, natural gas, and electricity - newfangled stuff back in the late 19th century. A lot of fancy pants Deadwood residents had homes in this neighborhood, including Seth Bullock - you know, that brooding guy with a gun in the HBO series. Mount Moriah Cemetery is at the very top of the neighborhood, and being the place where Wild Bill Hickok and Calamity Jane are buried, it gets a lot of tourists. Yes, it's busy, but it's a beautiful cemetery, and it's definitely worth the hike up the hill. Tour buses make frequent trips up and down our street in summer, sometimes stopping out front of our house to let people take picture of the architecture. It's very Truman Show. Main Street is a five-minute walk away, and there are plenty of saloons, restaurants and casinos (the kind with poker, blackjack, keno, roulette, and craps) there.
  • What a great spot for a quick stop on my way through the area. Very easy check in, great antique furnishings.

Cozy new loft in the City of Lead. Moments from downtown, but secluded. Minutes to outdoor activities, including skiing, snowshoeing, hiking, biking, or snowmobiling. In the winter months, it would be advisable to have all wheel or 4 wheel drive vehicle. Close to restaurants, brew pub, and night life!! Kitchenette with microwave, coffee maker, toaster, and small frig. The loft has electric heat and portable air conditioning. There are 18 steps to get to the loft.
For renters with motorcycles there is garage space for your bike! (500' gravel driveway) During the winter months in the Black Hills, it would be advisable to have all wheel or four wheel drive vehicles.

  • Rich was very friendly and welcoming when we arrived. The space is both spacious and cozy. Coffee and treats were great touches. We had the most amazing view of the sunrise from the bed and particularly enjoyed having our breakfast and coffee out on the front deck. We saw three deer and other wildlife just peacefully roaming around. What a magic spot!

The convenient location is within a short walking distance to downtown Deadwood. This cottage is one of our guests favorites because it was built in the early 1900's, it will take you back in time! It has been refurbished to a very comfortable place to stay. It's decorated in true Victorian Style with a kitchenette, dining area, living area, private bathroom and entrance. The central yard offers a hot tub and BBQ kitchen area for relaxing below the red rock cliffs. Off-street parking.
In the Wild Bill cottage there is a table with 4 chairs, microwave, coffee pot (with regular coffee),toaster, and small apartment sized refrigerator.
The Wild Bill Cottage is perfectly located next to a major resort and amenities. It is close enough to walk down town, but still private enough to enjoy the hot tub and outdoor kitchen area.

This gorgeous property is just a block from main street, and Deadwood Mountain Grand, making it a fantastic location for all guests. Whether you plan a family vacation, a quiet getaway with your significant other, or a fun filled friends weekend, we can accommodate you. The Mickelson Trail also begins directly adjacent to this property. Perfect for Bikers, hikers, snowmobilers, or adventure seekers. After a long day of activities, step out the kitchen porch into a brand new 7 person hot tub.
This newly modified, Historic 1902 house is located right in the heart of Deadwood. It is walking distance to main street which boasts a variety of restaurants, casinos, shopping places, and fun bars. The house is 3 bedroom, 2 bath with 2 pull out couches in the living room for added sleeping. This house also has a BRAND new 7 person Rhythm Hot Tub installed 1/18/18. Located just feet outside the kitchen back door. Winter weather in the Black Hills is beautiful and unpredictable. All season tires are recommended, and roads are drivable almost 99% of snow days. Weather related refunds will not be granted, but if roads are bad, will work with you on a possible future date to post pone your trip to. The house is located across a bridge, with private access to the bridge. It can be a bit difficult to park on the bridge with bigger trucks, but there is city parking a few feet away from the bridge that guests can use. Once you figure out the bridge, it’s a breeze to get in and out of. Check-out/ check-in: Guests can check-in and checkout as they please, since there is a coded lock. I have two rentals in town, so the checkout and check-in times accommodate the anticipation of having to have both cleaned during the day. This does not always apply, so if you want a different check-out/check-in time, just ask and I will do my absolute best to accommodate! Sleeping arrangement details; First bedroom is a master king bed with a trundle bed, for a total for 4 people in there. The second bedroom has one queen bed for a total of 2 people. Third bedroom has a queen bed, and a bunk bed with a full bottom, and twin top, for a total of 5 people IF needed (top bunk has 150 pound weight limit). This will be a bit tight, but is meant for people who do not mind sharing rooms. Then 4-5 more people can stay on the two pullout couches in the living room. One queen and one full. For a total of 15-16 max. (Again that would be tight but is doable, especially if some are kids) The 3 bedrooms and 1 bathroom are located on the second level. The main level contains the living room, kitchen, and 2nd bathroom. The kitchen is fully functioning and should contain most things needed to cook. (I.E coffee pot, cooking pots and pans, utensils, dishware, measuring cups, mixing bowls). The house has a newly installed water softener and water heater. This house takes about 3 hours to clean. If it is left excessively dirty, there will be a $40 an hour charge for anything after 3 hours. I have lived in the Black Hills my entire life, and live nearby. Most of the time, I am available to help with any problems or questions. Don't hesitate to ask me any question about the area, attractions, events, ect. I aim to make your stay in Deadwood easy and fun.
Very small creekside neighborhood with only 3 other houses on this street. Only one direct neighbor with a privacy fence between. The other side of the property is the start of Mickelson trail. Located behind the Family Dollar building.

We renovated our 24 x 20 sq ft hobby garage into a home that we absolutely adore. The original homestead is right next door over the fence. Located downtown Spearfish, 2 blocks from Main Street. The yard is completely fenced in for dogs. The best thing about this home is that whether you are in the living room, kitchen or bedroom you are in the same room as your loved ones! *DOGS ALLOWED BY PRE-APPROVAL ONLY. PLEASE MESSAGE ME FOR DETAILS.*
We have a strict no smokers policy(no smoking inside OR outside) as the owner is very asthmatic and can have episodes with even second hand smoke. We want you to know that there is no laundry on location but the laundry mat is about 5 blocks away. The parking for this property is free 24-hour street parking. Important note for showers: The water heater is a tiny-home water tank so there's about 15min of hot water at a time (it takes about 1 hr to fully reheat).
We are located less than 1 mile from award winning Dough Trader Pizza, a few blocks from Spearfish Creek, a mile from Lookout Mt Hike, and half a mile from stunning Spearfish Canyon and the beautiful City Park.
  • Very stylish, comfortable place to rest for the night while we were traveling cross country. Would definitely stay here again.

  • I had a wonderful stay here! It was just what I needed for a quick rest during my move across the country. I was impressed with the cleanliness and accommodations. Surprisingly spacious for a studio! If I find myself in Spearfish again, I’ll be sure to stay here.

Probly the most comfortable couch I've ever sat on, not gonna lie, I took a picture of the tag and am trying to hunt it down. The bathroom was beautiful, very clean. There's a beautiful creek 2 blocks away we walked our dog at in the morning. I wish we could have stayed longer. If and when we are back in the area, this place is bookmarked for another stay.

The Line Shack is nestled in the heart of the Black Hills on two hundred private acres for biking, hiking, & horse riding. The shack got its name from the cowboys of the 1800s when they were out for weeks fixing fences. The shack is a one room cabin with air, microwave, refrigerator, coffee, no TV. Minutes from Deadwood where Wild Bill Hickok was shot and killed. 5 minutes to Sturgis. A hop and a skip to Mt Rushmore and Crazy Horse. Accommodations for horses. Quiet nights around the bonfire.
Owners are friendly, outgoing, local ranchers who have many stories to tell. The Line Shack is a great for resting your horses over night. The Line Shack is a one room cabin. The summer kitchen and common area are located just steps from the door. The shower house with three bathrooms and laundry area are located in near by building.
  • You can expect a clean, peaceful place to rest and relax. The host is amazing. She is kind, funny and thoughtful. I highly recommend staying here.

  • Cindy`s place was incredibly charming and absolutely lovely for a night`s stay in the Mount Rushmore area. I would definitely come back again!

    Mirco2019-08-17T00:00:00Z
  • Cindy was a excellent host. The location was great. It was a peaceful quiet stay:)

    Heather And Andrew2019-07-28T00:00:00Z
  • Wonderful experience. Hosts are genuine and true ranchers. There are plenty of phony tourist trap places in the hills. This is not one of them. Lots of nice touches throughout. My room had outlets on both sides of the bed, another usb charger outlet, fridge, microwave, cold air conditioning that was already on when I arrived. The outdoor kitchen was fantastic as is the saloon with an original bar dating back before cars were invented. Both Boyce and Cindy were such nice folks that shared their lives and we talked for hours. I didn't just have a nice stay, I made new friends. Looking forward to stopping in again.

The house is located on 5 acres just south west of Spearfish about 3/4 of a mile with Forrest service right Down the road Which leads up to Iron Creek Lake snowmobile trails ,fishing, hiking trails and four wheeler trails. The people who have stayed here during rally absolutely love it because it’s quiet and peaceful. From the deck you can see for miles and miles. For those of you who wish to stay here during the rally I also have campers available during that time.
I do live on the main floor in the house. If you ever need anything I am here. The hot tub is a shared hot tub with me. I have a washer and dryer upstairs if you need to use those no problem .
My nearest neighbors across the road and everybody around me is very decent and easy to get along with.
  • Wayne is a great host and offers a wonderful place to stay. This place is spacious, quiet, and the views over Spearfish are beautiful. Seeing turkeys right outside our window in the morning was fun! The hot tub was ready for use before we arrived. Wayne offered whenever we crossed paths to not hesitate to ask if we needed anything. But the place was well stocked with things we needed so we never needed to ask during our weekend stay. The pillows are very soft but were just right for me. All in all a great pick for your stay in Spearfish.

  • Such a beautiful place! Definitely fulfilled my much needed relaxation that was needed and amazing views to wake up to!!

  • We enjoyed staying at Wayne’s place. It was very spacious and comfortable. The views were amazing and the local wildlife was fun to watch.. we’d stay there again!

    Linda2019-11-18T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed at Wayne's for three nights last week. Wanted to take a trip out west (from eastern Minnesota) to explore the Black Hills and get some hiking in. Wayne's place (you have the entire lower half of his house to yourself) is lovely and comfortable, with all the amenities you would need...plus a hot tub! A full kitchen was great to have, and watching the deer each morning and evening was wonderful. Incredibly comfortable bed! Wayne was a gracious host - eager to share knowledge and tips on the area - and made certain we had everything we needed. Wish we would have been able to stay longer and get to know him more, but it was a quick trip. Highly encourage anyone else staying at Wayne's to check out the Bandlands, Custer State Park, and the Crazy Horse Memorial. Lots of great hiking all around Spearfish Canyon. For those who enjoy the outdoors, this is a wonderful spot to stay!

    Joy2019-09-21T00:00:00Z
  • Wayne has an amazing space here in Spearfish! We enjoyed our stay very much - everything you could imagine is provided! The hot tub was an absolutely perfect place to relax and unwind after long days hiking and sight seeing the Black Hills. Thank you Wayne!

    Tyler2019-09-02T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful views of the valley. Deer grazed every day right outside the picture window.

    Carmen2019-08-18T00:00:00Z

The furniture was cozy! So close to town. The host was more hospitable than any other host I’ve had. This place is also dog friendly which is a win for me! Can’t go wrong.

The place was comfortable, very nicely decorated, very clean, and had just about anything that you would need. It was delightful to meet and talk with Debra. She is warm and comfortable to be around. She was also great at giving us privacy as well. She seemed happy to help if needed without being overbearing. Perfect combo. We look forward to staying here again!

We walked several times, it’s probably around half a mile. But there are trolley stops close to the house too. Bedroom is in the back so we didn’t hear much noise from the road at all at night. Would definitely stay again!

  • Loved it so much we decided to stay longer. The place had everything you need for cooking and cleaning as well as a good varietyof breakfast food and guides for the area. Perfectly located to get around.

    Sean2020-04-17T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful get away. Only a few minutes drive from stores and restaurants but having a secluded feel. The place is cozy and the only view you see is trees and a green house giving you the country mountain feel while being close to conveniences. The place is fully equipped for cooking. We stayed during a snowstorm and had everything we needed to be shut in for a few days. The driveway and road are gravel and dirt but easily traversed by a regular car. We enjoyed it so much we extended our stay by 4 days. Lang was very good to us checking on us regularly to see if we needed anything. Good breakfast items were provided for us and everything was very clean. Cleaning supplies and essentials (toiletpaper, shampoo, trash liners) were readily available.

    Sean2020-04-14T00:00:00Z
  • Lang’s place was a quaint hideaway conveniently located in the black hills and many attractions. Very homey and Lang was very attentive to any concerns and quick to respond. Very friendly! I recommend this nice place to everyone. Beautiful natural scenery surrounds the area.

    Sarah2020-04-07T00:00:00Z
  • When looking for a space to stay in the Black Hills you can't beat the Turtle House! The level of detail and care that was put into the stay betrays the fact that an artist was involved. The best example of this is that they have a pasta pot with its own strainer! Will definitely return when back in the region!

DEADWOOD'S "OLD FRONT PORCH" AS FEATURED IN DESTINATION DEADWOOD MAGAZINE. A SHORT WALK TO MAIN STREET, OR DEADWOOD TROLLEY STOP OUTSIDE FRONT DOOR. HISTORIC HOME BUILT BEFORE STATEHOOD, IS A BLEND OF OLD CHARM AND MODERN TOUCHES TO MAKE YOUR STAY ONE YOU BE SURE TO SHARE AND RETURN YEAR AFTER YEAR. LICENSE #20036
Located in Deadwood's historic district, this late 1800's property will have you imagining life in our small mining town. Even before statehood, locals frequented 119 Charles Street as part of the Cleveland District in the old days. This charming home has a blend of the old history and modern conveniences to make your time in the hills comfortable and relaxing. Enjoy a cup of coffee out on the front porch or in the privacy of the backyard patio before heading out for the day. If spending the day in Deadwood, no need to fight traffic or look for parking. A trolley stop is located right out front, or a few minutes walk to dining, shopping or gaming. The George S. Mickelson Trail is just across the street for nature walks, cycling and jogging. You'll find all stainless steel appliances, large capacity washer and dryer and a spacious main bathroom complete with a rain shower. The back yard has a large patio area for entertaining with a large picnic table and gas grill. We're confident you'll find the property conveniently located and offering everything you need to bring you back year after year. We call our home "The old front porch". It is just that. My favorite feature is the old front porch. If these walls could talk, I remember as an old saying. If this old porch could talk, what stories it could tell, it was around before South Dakota became a state. It was here in the boom of the gold rush. If this old porch could talk, my oh my, the stories it could tell.
  • This home is amazing. I will definitely be staying again. It was comfortable and very clean. I highly recommend it!

    Peggy2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • This was our third stay at the old front porch. We’ll def be back. Everything is always in great shape, really clean and up to date. The location is great, far enough from main street to be nice and quiet and still just a few minutes drive from all the action.

    Kevin2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • This is an adorable house. We had 8 stay there for a “girls’ weekend.” I’m told the pullout couch was pretty comfy and easy since it was futon style. There is a great place for breakfast and coffee right next door for early risers and a trolley stop right outside the front door for anyone who can navigate Deadwood’s Trolley system. It is a little over a half mile from downtown Deadwood. There is seating for 8 in the living room with 3 thoughtful, but unobtrusive stools. The space is decorated very cutely. We enjoyed staying there.

    Stacey2020-01-12T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed here a couple years ago and were glad to get it again. I expected some wear as it was pretty new to Airbnb on our first trip. It was spotless and showed no sign of wear at all. Kitchen utensils where still in great shape and there where some new items. Beds and linens where in great shape. It’s a well appointed house with thought in the decor. We’ll definitely stay here again

    Kevin2020-01-01T00:00:00Z

  • We had an amazing stay at The Old Front Porch! The house was clean, close to local attractions, and decorated to a “T”! It was a great place to come back to after traveling around the Black Hills each day. Jim was easy to contact when we had questions and he actually came over to the house immediately when we had an issue. If we are ever back in the Deadwood area, we would love to stay here again!

The third-floor suite at our bed-and-breakfast is newly renovated, with plenty of room for four (on a king bed and a split queen that can be made as two twins) and a luxury bathroom with heated marble floor, clawfoot tub, and vertical spa shower. The house is in Deadwood's historic Presidential District, which is only a six-minute walk from the city center but has beautiful views of the surrounding pine-covered hills.
The third-floor suite is our newest and largest bedroom. The main space has a sleigh-style king bed with nightstands, LED reading lights with USB charging ports, a small seating area, a wardrobe for hanging clothes, and an internet-connected HDTV with cable and Netflix. The space under the east gable has a custom-built split queen bed that can be made up as a regular queen, or as two 30-inch twins that slide apart. An air cot is available by request, and can be either twin or queen-sized, bringing the room's maximum occupancy to six. The whole space is floored in oak, has custom wainscoting cabinetry along the walls, and has an individual climate control system. The en suite private bathroom is accessed with a sliding pocket door, and has a toilet in a separate water closet, heated marble tile floor, cast iron slipper clawfoot tub, double sink marble vanity, and walk-in vertical spa with two shower heads and four body jets. A small privacy window lets in light from the west gable, making for romantic light around sunset. We think it might be the best bathroom experience available to guests in the Black Hills. The space is relatively quiet and doesn't get much direct sunlight, so it's well-suited for guests who like to sleep in a bit.
The house is located in Deadwood's historic Presidential District. The Adams House museum is just a block away, and most homes in the neighborhood date from the late 19th century. Most of the main attractions in Deadwood are less than a mile from the house, and very accessible by walking.
  • Amazing!! Stay here, pet the cat! We loved the clean room, check in was easy and personable with local tips that made our trip great even though nothing was open (covid). We were so happy to enjoy fresh breakfast and coffee at our door every morning, fantastic. We even had an option to have wine when we got there (so nice to end a road trip with a glass of red wine). The price was very fair for this experience, I will return once everything is opened. Thank you!

  • This room and bathroom are simply stunning. Gracious hosts and super clean. We would have booked another night if time allowed. We felt so much at home and did NOT want to leave.

  • I can’t imagine that there is a better place to stay in all of Deadwood! Such a charming, cozy, and welcoming place! There are no words to describe the luxury of the bathroom... sigh! The bed was so comfortable and appreciated after camping! The house is spectacular and so are the cats if you are lucky enough to cross paths. Location is spot on. You can walk to everything while still be situated up in the hill and near the amazing cemetery. The city steps are so close, which will get you to the main drag! I wish we could have stayed longer- it was simply perfect.

  • Just a few streets away from mainstream Deadwood. Super host. We had to head out early and a lovely breakfast was prepared for us with homemade sourdough bread, yum.

    Deborah2019-08-01T00:00:00Z
  • This inn is warm, inviting, and modern without losing its old west charm. Dustin and Laura are wonderful hosts. Our room was spacious and clean. The location was perfect for enjoying the Black Hills, Devil's Tower, Spearfish Canyon, Mt. Rushmore, and Custer State Park.

Living room, kitchen, bathroom, laundry room.
The house is behind the laundry mat and Common Sense on Main Street.

Guests have access to the first stall garage, perfect for motorcycles or compact size cars. Great outdoor patio with an electric grill and full outdoor seating for a great view. Deadwood and the Black Hills are known for its beauty and year round activities. This house is located in a private neighborhood with an amazing view and close to restaurants, Casinos, hiking trails, and snowmobile trails. IMPORTANT: If you have pets, or are booking for sturgis rally, please read the house rules. Guests enjoy the entire property when rented, and My driveway is big enough for up to 2 small trailers, or multiple vehicles. I also have room for an RV with option of temporary power.
Welcome to a my home! *If you are wanting to rent for the Sturgis rally, I can only accept one more 7 day reservation (Aug 5 - 11th) for the rally. I do not have a house cleaner during this time to flip the reservations. sorry in advance!. :) * If you have pets staying, please read the pet policy below and update your reservation accordingly. There are 4 bedrooms located in the house. A king bed master, queen bed second, full bed third, and full bed fourth on the main level. The first three bedrooms are located on the second floor. The fourth on the main level. The Washer and Dryer are located in the basement if needed. The steps to this are extremely steep. Use caution when using those. BRAND NEW 200,000 BTU tankless water heater (installed 02/2017) means on demand, unlimited showers back to back with no shortage on hot water. Perfect for large groups. The living room and Dining room both seat 6 comfortably. The Smart tv in the living room and in the master are linked to Netflix, youtube, HULU, and cable. Two Wifi codes are available throughout the house. The kitchen has all the essentials for guests, including crock pots, pots, pans, and dish-ware for 8+. Guests also have access to stocked cupboards, and fridge essentials like mayo, ketchup, dressings, etc. There is a pellet grill on the deck outside for guests, and a 4 person hot tub. The outside of the property had two security motion cameras. One pointed towards the driveway and one in the backyard. I only use access this footage should there be damage to the property. Please remember this house is located in Deadwood on a steep hill behind Deadwood Mountain Grand. In the winter, we are notorious for pretty good snow storms, Especially in the spring. While I have snow removal hired, I cant take responsibility on road conditions, and other weather related issues. Typically, the driveway and roads will be plowed within 24-36 hours of the last snowflake. I will do everything I can to get the snow removed quickly from the driveway. The city plows our roads, and they usually have it plowed and sanded quickly. In case of an emergency, I have cans of freeze-dried backup food, a gas stove that works with power, a gas generator, and pot belly stove in the basement.
The house is located in a very small neighborhood, with about 6 houses. I only have one neighbor within 200 feet of this house. The front deck has an amazing mountain view perfect for that early morning coffee.
  • The house was easy to access and the owners were very easy to work with. I would recommend using their services.

  • Trinity's place is amazing. It is located in a quiet home up in the hills with a stunning view. As a larger group of 10 we had plenty of room to enjoy our stay in Deadwood. Everything was extremely clean and comfortable! She was very responsive with any and all questions that we had, which as a first time Air BnB'er was very appreciated. Thank you, Trinity for everything! We home to come again!

    Meggie2020-01-26T00:00:00Z
  • Trinity's place is awesome! It was very clean! Big enough to accommodate my family of 3 and another three couples. We enjoyed our New Year's Eve weekend 2020 there and had a fantastic time! Taxi service was great and that was very helpful in the winter!! Everything you need to spend a great weekend is available! Coffee pot, crock pot, several pots and pans. I'm very thankful for the opportunity to have spent time in this house! Reminded me of my in-laws house back in the day but on a smaller scale. Our thanks to Trinity for giving us the chance to check it out!

  • My boyfriend and I tent camped on Cindy’s Ranch for one night while traveling through SD. We couldn’t have picked a better place to spend a night! The ranch exceeded our expectations. The bath/laundry house was super convenient. The community “saloon” was a neat place to hang out - there’s so many neat things to see there! Cindy and her husband were great hosts and there were thoughtful touches everywhere. I would not hesitate to stay on the ranch again if the opportunity presented itself.

A daybed in living room. Awesome place to get away from it all but right in town. Plenty of towels for everyone and fully equipped. Only fall back is driveway is a little tricky to turn around in. But once you figure it out. So easy. You will fall in love with this place!

Off grid yurt in the pines, with great view of mystic miner and Terry peak above, on mile 100 of beautiful Mickelson trail. Get away to nature (with style and a unique stay)....goulay. not for non-outdoorsy as there is only a half bathroom outhouse, no running water (you get to port it in, great spring pump at nearby Englewood trail-head on Mickelson and running stream for a dip at bottom of hill), no electricity, and a great little wood stove. BEFORE RENTING read other things to note.
The yurt is one big room on a sloped lot with front deck literally in the pine trees, with unforgettable nightly sunsets and brilliant night sky. We worked to hand fall and peel logs all on property used for platform along with local beetle kill rough cut pine for flooring. Yurt is made by quality Pacific yurts in Oregon. It was erected with an international team of family freinds, and local neighbor helped to design and weld support tabs in beautiful mature pines as front cornerstones. All log pylon supports were hand dug along with the outhouse "#2 with a view" by family and dear friends. We hope you enjoy the one of a kind experience the snowkitty yurt provides from a place of labor of love.
Great spot where the quiet is Queen/King, breeze in the pines, singing birds, killer sunsets, and brilliant nightly stargazing. There are stellar restaurants, breweries, trails, historic spots, and natural beauty in both directions towards Spearfish and Lead/Deadwood. There is a also a quality grocery store and hardware off of main road in Lead to gear up for all needs before heading up to yurt.
  • Great place to stay. Great amenities. Amazing location. We stayed in early March when temperatures were below freezing and still had a blast. Dylan was very helpful and quick to respond.

  • Beautiful location. Watching the sunset from the back deck offered amazing views. The Yurt did get a little chilly at night but there was plenty of blankets to pile up! We’ll definitely be coming back in the warmer months sometime

XC skiing- new snow- wood stove- put our hammocks out on deck and watched the full moon and beautiful sky. Even the #2 with a View was fun! Highly recommend this host if you want to get away and enjoy being disconnected with beauty!

  • Enjoyed my month long stay at this rental. There was quite a bit of snow on the day of my arrival and Chad had shoveled the walkway and cleaned the private driveway before I got there. A great space for a long term stay, clean and comfortable. He answered any questions that I had quickly. I didn’t use the loft area at all but did take a peek up there and think it would be a good spot to sleep if more than 2 people stayed. Small couch with Smart TV. Within walking distance to downtown and multiple restaurants. I would recommend this rental.

  • Steve was an amazing host! He was very nice and answered all our questions. He knows the area well and can point you in a direction of some amazing things to do in the area. The cottage was very clean and very well stocked from the laundry area to the fridge. The touches of breakfast left for us was really nice. If you want a local stay just above the hustle and bustle of busy Deadwood check this cottage out!

  • The hosts had everything ready for me even though I arrived later in the evening, they had extra snacks and drinks in the fridge which made it nice to grab and go. The location was close enough to town and Mt. Moriah cemetery that I walked to both and enjoyed the cool air.
