Philip was an excellent host! He came to find me and personally walked me to the apartment so I wouldn't get lost, and then he even helped me find a local launderer. I was traveling alone and had a very early flight and so the apartment was just what I needed for a quick stay. The apartment is located in a great downtown area that is very walkable to restaurants and nightlife.

Philip was very nice and helpful. The location was great. If I come back Dublin some day, I would gladly stay at his place again.

Philip was a perfect host; he let me check in early, met me so I could find the place and then got coffee and a croissant each morning for me. It is exactly as explained and shown. Roomy and the bed was comfortable. Perfect for me as I was staying just two nights in Dublin. The location is perfect. Most things are 10-15 mins walking and a few are longer but I didn't mind walking. Better to walk than drive in Dublin . Enjoyed my stay!

Dear Penny, we had pleasant time in Dublin and you contributed substantially to it. Your apartment is very conveniently situated close to the water and the center of town. The flat is very well suited for two or three and you have decorated it very nicely and you keep it very clean. Sorry for not finishing the clean up in the kitchen. We were a bit short in time to get rid of our rental car (avoiding to pay an extra day).

A great host who made us very welcoming.

We stayed at Penny’s studio one night before a very early flight and it was perfect for our needs. It was a quick 15 minute ride to the airport and the studio was in a nice part of the city right across the river. The studio was decorated nicely and had everything we needed to relax and unwind before our travels. Penny herself was very sweet, accommodating and quick to respond to any emails or questions we jad. The tea, soda bread and butter was a nice touch that we weren’t expecting. I wouldn’t hesitate recommending the studio to anyone who is spending a few days in Dublin or just needs comfortable accommodation close to the airport.

Fionnuala has been very kind with us. She showed us some places to visit in Dublin, how to reach them and the best way to travel around the city. The basement is really near the city center. Despite Fionnuala's frieds decided to have a noisy party during our last night, we can't complain about anytghing, she apologized to us the nex morning.

I´m really sorry to write something negative because Fionnuala seemed like a really nice person. But the apartment looked like it has not been cleaned for a while (spiderwebs on the ceiling, dusty furniture). And unfortunately you hear everything from upstairs therefore it was not a quite night. We travelled with a toddler so we thought they would take care, but the first night you heard people talking and running and I think it was the TV or music and on the second night the laundry machine was running in the evening. But the location is really nice and it takes about 20 minute to walk straight into the city.

We arrived later than planned due to a minor emergency - Fionnuala was very gracious about this and welcoming.

Myself and two others stayed here over the weekend and we were very happy with the flat. Fionnuala was really welcoming and gave us some food and drink, which we all thought was really great. The flat is located on the North side of the river and we walked everywhere. It was about 20 minutes to reach the river from the flat by foot, but if you aren't keen on walking then there are buses going past all the time. Everything in the flat was exactly as described and its a fantastic price for being quite close to the city. We would definitely stay there again and would recommend. Thanks Fionnuala!

The place was a great little basement apartment all to ourselves. Close walk to football stadium and city center. Great pub and amazing pizza place at end of the street just half a block away. Fionna was a lovely host, and her pup Batman was a much needed doggie break. She left us fresh plums and cherries, and had some drinks in the fridge as well. She showed us where we were on a Dublin map, and gave us some tips and pointers to get around the city. Had maps and pamphlets for what felt like anything and everything you'd want to do in the whole of Ireland. Her artwork covered the entire place and we absolutely loved it. The bed was comfy and the place had great WiFi. Fionna even did some laundry for my wife and brought it down to us when we got home. She and Batman were so sweet, and we'd love to stay there again.

The appartment is very nice, with an own access from the exterior and everything that is needed inside, even a small library with some nice books. Close to the city center, it's a good place to stay.

Couldn't have asked for a better place to stay. Close to great cafes, a cinema, a peaceful stroll along the canal and walking distance from the city centre. Levi was the warmest host, making us feel so welcome and great company too. Will be asking to stay here every time I go to Dublin.

Levi has been a wonderful host. He's helpful, courteous, professional, and has made this trip really outstanding for me. His home is a cozy get away from the hustle and bustle of central Dublin which is just a 15 - 20 minute walk away. I'd also suggest eating at the traditional Irish pub up the street called "The Barge" which served really delicious food.

Jack and Levi were excellent hosts. Looking forward to be in Dublín again and ask them again to stay.

The apartment was centrally located within easy reach of Dublin City Centre. Seán, Ivana's assistant, was in easy reach by phone for issues that arose during my stay and was very helpful.

Gearoid is an amazing host and for the cost of this room the value you get is incredible. He goes above and beyond to make sure your stay is comfortable and that you are well accommodated. The neighborhood is lovely and very close to a bus stop that takes you right into the city, also close to Marlay Park which is a gorgeous place to walk. Absolutely recommend!

Gearoid went above and beyond my expectations for an Airbnb host! He was very flexible with my incoming flight and was able to work around the set check-in and check-out time. He was extremely welcoming and was always down good for a chat but if I wanted to keep to myself then it was no problem at all. The morning after I got in I was exhausted from the flight and the time change and slept in until 11:30 AM, Gearoid was concerned for me and came and checked to see if I was okay and to tell me that there was breakfast waiting when I was ready. It was a very lovely house and neighborhood (the bus stop is a two minute walk away) and would definitely recommend staying with him to anyone!

Exactly what we wanted. Modern, neat, private, in a lovely area within walking distance of everything. We did not meet Ben but his mother Sally welcomed us and everything went very smoothly, even with some last-minute schedule changes. The space is as advertised, and the restaurant recommendations are good! As we are quite private and didn't have much social juice left (our stay was the last leg of a longer journey) I had some reservations about not having an entire place to ourselves, but I needn't have worried - we were left to our own devices and the space felt like a self-contained unit. We stayed at Ben's place for two nights. It was perfect for us. We needed a quiet, comfortable and easy place to get over jet lag and begin exploring Dublin. The bed was great (I looked at the tag so I could hunt for one like it when we returned home,) and the place was quiet for sleeping, even though it was an easy walk to the noise and bustle of downtown. Ben's brother welcomed us, told us all we needed to know about the place and the surrounding area. Stephen's Green is very close-- a nice park to visit. Great restaurants close by. Rigby's, for a delicious breakfast. Farm for pricey but delicious locally sourced meals. Ben's place is downstairs, basement, but cheerful and bright. A full bathroom and small kitchenette is included. We arrived before check-in time but were able to drop our bags off early. In fact, because no one was there, we were given the room early. Also, there is wifi and it works.

We loved staying at Ben's place. It was conveniently located and very comfortable. One of the most comfortable beds of our 3 week European vacation. Ben's mom was there when we arrived and showed us around and was there to answer whatever questions we had. It was a short walk to some great bars near Trinity College. When we needed a cab, we just walked around the corner to the DoubleTree Inn where there was always a line of cabbies ready to take us where ever we wanted. The people in Ireland were so nice and welcoming! We would definitely go back and stay at Ben's again.

We loved our stay here. It's a lovely quiet area but still great for cafes, restaurants and some good pubs. We walked everywhere including into the centre of Dublin which is 30 minutes. But it's right on a bus route as well and easy to get to from the airport bus. Ben's place is a beautiful Georgian house and having the basement floor gives you lots of privacy and the amenities of a little kitchen. We had everything we needed. The house has its original sash windows so there is a little traffic noise. But for Dublin this is a quiet area and no noise from revellers. We are very comfortable and slept well. Ben was a great host, attentive and welcoming. Making sure we were met on arrival and had everything we needed.

This is great if you want to cook as it has a 4 burner stove, oven, cookware and good sized fridge. Communication was great. It is a 40 minute walk or 30 minute trip including walking to bus to the main attractions. It is not the most attractive part of Dublin but suited us to park our car.

Rose and Brendan's place was great. Right next to Croke Park and plenty of parking on the street. Rose was easy to get a hold of and also sent us a thoughtful text to let us know the street was going to be closed due to a Hurling final!

The accommodation is tiny but fully functional. Well served by transport from the airport and not so far from the centre (~2km). Rose and Brandon were reactive to our questions. A nice place for a week-end.

Rose's place is just as described and she is just amazing! We came in early and she accommodated us as much as she could, and responded to messages in just minutes. My friend and I stayed there very comfortably. It's clean, filled with anything you would need for a comfortable stay, and quiet. Recommend to anyone looking to stay in a quiet part of Dublin close to the city center!

We had a fantastic time in Dublin. Made even better by Simon's 'home from home'. An excellent host. We were even given an umbrella each in case of rain. Perfect location to explore anywhere in Dublin with excellent bus and coach services on the doorstep. Spotlessly clean , light and airy modern room in a lovely apartment. With our own bathroom too. We could come an go as we pleased which was good as we had a wedding to attend on the Saturday. Simon was incredibly helpful. We couldn't have expected such a lovely host. We could not find a single fault. We just wish we could have stayed for longer then just a long weekend. I would highly recommend to anyone staying in Dublin.

We would highly recommend staying at Simons place. From the start Simon was a great communicator. He made our arrival experience really easy. The location was perfect. In the midst of the Temple Bar action without the noise. Handy to all the local attractions and to the hop on bus and air link transport Simon happily shared ideas with us for venues which really made a difference to our first Dublin experience. The room and bathroom are compact and comfortable. The wifi works well and the water was hot. Love Simons information folder which answers every practically question a guest may have. Simon is a great host. Prior to visiting Simon had emailed and provided me with much needed information about how to get to and from the airport, the cost and gave me different alternatives as well (bus or taxi). This really made the start to my vacation a lot less stressful. The room itself is exactly as depicted in the photos. It was bright, clean. Towels were provided as well as a hair dryer and plug adapters if needed. He also had a binder filled with useful information about Dublin, where to go and what to do, which was extremely helpful as well. He was very generous as well and provided with coffee, tea and bagels if I wanted. I think the one thing I truly enjoyed was our conversations and just getting to know someone who lives in Dublin.

Simon's bright room is really bright and calm, two minutes from bus station "Christ Church in the heart of Dublin. You get a clean room and an own bath with the best sortiment of shampoo, etc., also Simon provides adapters for electricity and you iphone. Simon himself is a very sypathic guy, he helps you in all cases best and promptly. I had a great stay with my base in Simon's apartment and if I ever would come back, I only would stay at Simon's "bright room. Martin

Simon's apartment in Dublin was in the perfect location to walk everywhere. It's really close to Temple Bar and Trinity College. If you are arriving in Dublin from the airport, the bus that takes you to the center city drops you off right outside of his apartment door. Simon was extremely welcoming and very accommodating. The information that he had on the city and restaurants was great. We would definitely recommend this apartment.

NEIGHBORHOOD: If you're looking for a vibrant, diverse neighborhood that's close to the main attractions without being touristy, this is the place to be. APARTMENT: Our two-week stay in this quiet building made me feel as if I were a resident of Dublin. The homey apartment was as shown in the picture. If you will be preparing all/some of your meals here, as I did, you'll find the kitchen clean and easy to work in. Cookware was provided. Grocery stores and fruit/vegetable stands are close by. SUGGESTIONS: You'll need a 3-prong 225 volt adapter, which costs 2-3 euros (in the neighborhood). Also, consider buying a SIM card (five euros) for use in Ireland and topping it up as needed. SIM cards are sold everywhere. HOST: Mark was a exceptional in every way! He always answered my emails promptly and thoroughly and was flexible about arrival and departure times. I felt as if were dealing with a friend. I haven't enough good things to say about this listing, Mark or the people of Dublin!

I stayed at this property for a month and cannot recommend it highly enough. It is perfectly situated in the midst of culture, history, and nightlife, but still removed enough from the crazier elements of the city to allow for some peaceful, quiet nights. The space itself is new, clean, and nicely appointed. It was perfectly warm (I stayed in the winter) and had plenty of natural light to keep the place cheery. Mark was an excellent host who was attentive and responded in a timely manor, always. This property is as safe a bet as they come.

ARRIVAL: We didn't have any issues with arrival, Mark let us check-in early and met us at the apartment with the keys on a Sunday morning without question. We were told and placed into an apartment different but similar to the listing upon arrival. The apartment was one floor higher and further back than the original. NOISE: The apartment we stayed on was a floor higher and faced the alley in the back of building. This called for some noisy nights and mornings caused by wandering drunks, truck deliveries, seagulls, and the construction just opposite the building. CLEANLINESS: Very dusty. Looks as if the apartment was locked up for awhile and not properly prepped before our arrival. Bed linens were dusty, towels lightly stained. There were crumbs on the kitchen counter, the dishes were stained of food not properly cleaned off before going into the dishwasher. Small crevices such as the fridge handle were filthy and unkempt. Overall the place wasn't disgusting it was tidy and didn't smell bad, but if you're a tiny bit OCD it is very off-putting because it doesn't seem to have been properly disinfected or dusted. AMENITIES: THE BED was THE WORST, very springy, worse than my dorm bed in college. As a side sleeper, the springs jabbed into my ribs throughout the night. The windows in the building aren't very forgiving of outside noise, it doesn't make a difference if they are open or closed. Fans would've been appreciated since there is no air-conditioning and nothing to drown out the noise of the outside. Additional amenities not included in the listing were hangers, a fully-equipped kitchen, paper towels, dish-washing liquid, dishwasher and dishwashing detergent, toilet paper, and clothing detergent. We were provided with three towels (medium-use, light stains). Included in the change of apartment was an upgraded smart TV which allowed us to log into Netflix. LOCATION: The location was great in terms of walkability. It was quite central to everything without being right in the middle of the action which allowed for some much needed unwinding time. The closest DART station was a 15 minute walk to Tara Street, but there are many alternative bus routes to get around the city along O'Connell including air coach transportation to and from the airport less than a 5 minute walk from the apartment building. I'm not giving a full five stars due to the noisy alley in the back of the building. Also, the Tesco is right below the building, extremely convenient.

This is the second time I have returned to Ivy Exchange! I haven't enough good things to say about this listing or Mark. The apartment is clean, spacious, modern, quiet and comfortable. It is excellent value for the money! Trust me, I stayed in another Air Bnb for more money that was a total disaster (claustrophobic, depressing, dismal, dirty. Walking through the door at Ivy Exchange at the end of the day was like coming home. The neighbourhood is lively and fun. My friend and I had the best time. If there was such a thing as a 10 star rating, I would give it to Mark and this listing.

Mark's place was exactly as described. It is in a perfect location, close to many shops. And every convenient to transport. The apt was spotless and had a cute outside area. Everything was super easy and chill. Our stay was perfect, and I would highly recommend it! The only thing was that there were a few too many doors to open in the building to get to the apt. But you get used to it, and it is a nice safety precaution.

Mark was a great host. The apartment was everything that you could hope for. Central to shops, sites and transport. This was the best air bnb that I have ever stayed in. Thanks to Mark I really had a great stay. I Really recommend him to everyone.

A nice place to stay and Margaret is very kind. The rooms are spacey and there is a common room where you can sit and prepare some food. The only downside is that the room was right next to the LUAS and the floors where noisy.

I stayed with Margaret while I was figuring out some permanent accommodation in Dublin. Margaret was a lovely host, helpful in numerous situations and was very easy to reach. As for the room; it was bright and large, larger than I expected and all around comfortable. Close to the bus stops, the Luas as well as a number of restaurants/cafes.

Sabrina's flat is very modern and is located in a very nice area in the docklands with great cafés and restaurants closeby. About 20-30 mins walk from the city centre or 7 mins by bike, I would recommend using the Dublin Bikes with stations nearby. We didn't meet Sabrina as she was away for the weekend but the communcation was perfect and she was always available to help us with any issues. Thanks Sabrina!

Great location only 15mins stroll along the river from the temple bar area. Loads of cafes and bars literally a 30 second walk in the newly redeveloped docklands area of the city. The area is home to the HQ of (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN) and (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN) amongst others. A large cinema is only a 15min walk situated next to the arena. Although we didnt use the swimming pool and sauna apparently its really nice. The flat itself is really modern, clean and quite minimalist. We didnt apend much time here as we had a packed 3days of sightseeing so didnt use the kitchen faciltys but the room was perfect us. Highly recommend staying here.

I was on a work trip and stayed at Sabrina's place in my private room with ensuite bathroom for 6 nights. It was a clean space with hosts who respect their guest's privacy, but are chatty and friendly at the same time. The listing location is near to the central business district area, and about a 15-20 minute walk to the shopping district, which I felt was definitely convenient enough! Plenty of convenient stores nearby too if you need a quick grocery run. I just want to say thank you for caringly providing me with anything I needed when my luggage didn't arrive on the first day. You were wonderful hosts throughout — thanks for the hospitality Sabrina and Julien! I wish you guys all the best (:

Really enjoyed staying at Sabrina's flat. She has a beautiful place right in the middle of the city. You could easily walk everywhere. We arrived at 1.30 in the morning because our flight was delayed, Sabrina remained patient and calm and made sure someone receives that late as well. We didn't get to meet her but she was always available when we needed her. I highly recommend staying here. Her flat is just behind the Bord Gais which makes it an even more interesting experience to stay. The cat is friendly and fluffy.. Thank you Sabrina!

Place is as described. Wei is a lovely host, and really quick to respond to messages. Come and go, as you please with lock for room. Note that hot water is on a timer, he clearly states this, so it should not be a surprise. Would stay here again. It is a very nice area.

What can i say - i may have been their first guests, but my hosts were spectacular and wonderful and nice and accomodating and did I say spectacular? Close to the UCD (if visiting the University) and greeted me in the morning with a coffee and sent me off at the end of long day with a nightcap. Thoroughly enjoyable stay and hope to stay with you both again when I come back. Not only close to the uni, but a variety of restaurants and pubs. Beautiful running areas for those that like going out for a bit of exercise, and never a lack of stuff to talk about. Both hosts had wonderful sense of humour and had lots to talk about. Missing them already!
