Very clean quite place

This is a wonderful stay.. not just because you will feel the room Andrea offers is more a hotel room than an Airbnb room. Or because the town is beautiful. Or because you will feel incredibly rested after a night's sleep. This is an incredibly worthwhile stay because of Andrea and her family. They are welcoming, friendly and helpful, all done with a smile on their faces and a fantastic welsh accent! My husband and I just love them! Thanks to you all again for our great stay.

Andrea and Jon were great hosts! My friend and I stayed for 2 nights while we explored the area. Their home is beautiful, the room has a comfortable bed and the bathroom is large and clean. The location is a great base for going to Point Pelee National Park, Pelee Island, or Windsor by car (we went to all 3!). I would not hesitate to stay here again if I return to the area.

We spent the night there on our way back from Niagara. Very comfortable and clean room in a quiet zone. The bathroom was also clean. Andrea is very kind and helpful; she gave of a list with directions of places to eat still open late. Overall we enjoyed our stay.

We weren't able to enjoy our accommodations for too long as we were in town for a triathlon, but Andrea was fantastic with communication and flexibility. She was very warm and welcoming and everything was ready for us when we arrived. The room was comfortable, and we would definitely recommend this stay!

Our third stay at Andrea and Jon's beautiful home in Lakeshore. We had a great time as always. Their home is clean, beautiful and they are just the most wonderful hosts.

It was wonderful to stay at Andrea and Jon's home for the weekend. The home is beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean. The hosts had a coffee machine available for our use as well. Andrea and Jon were gracious hosts who provided us with everything we needed for our stay. The room had water bottles and a fan for us. The bedroom has black out blinds and a very comfortable bed. The washroom beside the bedroom was perfectly clean as well. The location is great for someone who wants to be near Windsor but not in the core. A car is required to get around if you are staying here. We look forward to staying again here.

The host was very quick to respond to questions we had. They answered our questions and even had great recommendations for where to go and what to see.

Steve's place is cute, little and right on the water.

We had a wonderful time staying here. The cottage was cozy and had everything you could need in the cutest set up. We were so cozy, absolutely loved the charm of the interior, and the water view was priceless. Steve was so friendly and helpful with our plans. We can't wait to return!!

We had a wonderful stay at Steve's lake house. The weather was beautiful so enjoyed sitting in the muskoka chairs, and listening to the birds, and watching the 11 baby ducklings learning how to swim. It was very convenient to Point Pelee where we came to see the spring bird migration. The tv and wifi were great and there was even coffee and tea to make in the morning. We didn't meet Steve, but Natasha was very welcoming and available for any needs. Check-in was super easy using the keypad. We would definitely stay here again. Thanks Steve.

Great little cottage, really nice view from the windows of the frozen lake. Very good location, close to everything in kingsville. Steve gave a great rundown of all the interesting places to visit around here. Would recommend!

This was our second time here. Such a beautiful spot with lots to see and do. Very relaxed vibe with everything you may need in your own Lake House. Highlights of the area for us are biking on Pelee Island and visiting the winery (first time there), Point Pelee NP (free this year), touring wine country (Viewpointe for lunch was delicious and scenic) and even catching a Detroit Tigers game in Detroit after doing some shopping in Auburn Hills. Looking forward to booking a third visit :)

What a sweet little gem. Steve and Natasha are great host. They point out so many spots to see and do, even before you get there...WOW! But, even if your not interested in going anywhere, just sitting by the water, watching the birds, and enjoying the (URL HIDDEN) their guests.. you've got the best of both. Private and beautiful. ..been at other places but this was the sweetest. Will do again very soon!

The place is kinda middle of nowhere but it wasn't a problem for us because the front is lit up pretty well. Even at night we didn't have problem finding the place. The previous reviews mentioned issues with cleanness but we didn't see any of those maybe the host is trying to improve. The only drawback of this place is there is only one washroom which shared. But I guess the price compensate for that.

Jordan was really helpful with accommodating our late check in request, and when our car broke down he reassured us that we could sleep whenever we managed to arrive. He was very friendly to meet and has a wonderful house. The beds are really comfortable and we were all able to sleep in late.

It's a big room, just for yourself. The neighborhood is great and you got a quick connection to everywhere. Jordan himself was really friendly, giving us a late check-in and answering a lot of questions.

This place was right on water and you could walk out onto their deck. The host had great detailed instructions for our arrival and very friendly.

Our stay in Lakeshore was outstanding. We originally booked with Lynn at her basement apartment, but the day before she offered us their Villa apartment. The usually booked Villa was available during our trip and we had the opportunity to stay. Pictures didnt do the place justice. Very modern and easy to navigate around the home. Lynn was an awesome host to communicate with and the book with all the details was perfect so we didnt have to bother them for anything during our stay. I cannot say enough great things about the place or Lynn. Lakeshore is a great area and we would love to book with them again!

Lynn's place is amazing. The lake view is breathtaking, the neighborhood is very impressive, especially along the shoreline. Lynn and George will make you feel at home and they are very respectful of your privacy. I will definitely rent here again and I highly recommend this apartment to anyone planning to visit the Windsor area.

Lynn's basement apartment is well-appointed, beautifully decorated and located just off the lake. We had a wonderful time and enjoyed interfacing with her family and villa guests.

Great place to stay if you're visiting the Windsor area - gorgeous view from the deck! You'll likely hear the dogs and bird upstairs if you sleep in (like we did), but it was very comfortable and good value.

The Loft of Thane is comfortable and arty in a very special building. If you are looking for a feel of local life in an upcoming part of Detroit, this is definitely the place to go! It is located at the riverside and close to the Belle Isle (Thane provides bycyles to cycle around!), and close to interesting places as he Heidelberg project and hip restaurants and a coffeeshop in the other direction. Furthermore the popcorn machine in the loft was much appreciated by our teenaged kids.

Thane was very easy to work with, and his place would be great for anyone interested in staying in Detroit. It's a very unique loft, with lots of windows overlooking Canada. Thane was quick to respond, easy to talk to, and a great host. i would recommend his place to anyone looking for a spot near downtown.

Thane's loft was beautiful - great view of the river and nice airy, open space. Great location right off of Jefferson and lots of options on things to do in Detroit. Bed was very comfortable and the AC in the bedroom kept it quite cool on some hot days in Detroit. Communication with Thane was easy and very quick.

The loft is spacious, has a great view, lots of windows, and is clean. The host is extraordinarily helpful, and went out of the way to make my stay a good one, even offering the use of bicycles in the loft, and providing extensive informations about places to visit, eat, get a drink and so forth. For those not familiar with the city, who may not know the neighborhood, it is quite safe - gated parking and double locked entryways, near a rental bike station, and on the beginning part of the Riverwalk path to downtown. No noise, and a very comfortable, clean space. The host couldn't be beat!

Cool space. Access to the park was great for morning walks. A little noisy, but not so much as to disturb sleep. Definitely a neighborhood in transition - hipster cool.

Thane's apartment is just incredible! From the view of the river, to how the light hits through his apartment windows to his amazing (URL HIDDEN) just got better and better! The only thing that topped his amazing apartment was his mother Karen! She greeted us when we got there and showed us around and made sure we were all settled in before she was on her way! She was a blast and my boyfriend and I wish we could have hung out with Karen the whole weekend! Such beautiful and kind soul! They provided breakfast items in the fridge and said we could help ourselves to anything we wanted! The apartment was very clean and homey. We absolutely loved it and would definitely stay again the next time we are in town! Thank you Thane and Karen!

What a total gem in Detroit! The space was even better in person. From the flawless mid-century aesthetic, to the collection of timeless vinyl records, this was the perfect style & vibe of Detroit. I want an exact replica of my own...or I'll just have to visit again. Very clean with all the amenities & Jesse was very prompt & polite in communicating. Thanks for a great experience!

Jesse was a great host work with for my first Airbnb experience. I had to schedule a last minute trip the day of and he was able to get me in for a weekend. I really enjoyed how everything was set up and the vinyl collection that I could use. I definitely will use this place again to visit my hometown.

The loft was GREAT! It was actually bigger than I expected, but other than that it was exactly as pictured. Clean, neat, safe location right next to Wayne State University police station. WiFi was really fast. Good Verizon 4G signal too. Very comfortable bed. My husband and I really enjoyed our three-night stay there and would go back again if we're ever out that way.

It was our first time in Detroit, so Jesse's loft was a perfect introduction to the city and everything it has to offer. He has a wonderful city guide that I'd highly recommend you read in full and as mentioned in other reviews, the neighborhood is incredibly safe and quiet making for a relaxing and rewarding visit. We did walk to a few places in the areas and Uber is a breeze in Detroit for anything further than 20 minutes. The home is well equipped with everything you need should you want to stay in and cook, but you'd be missing out if you didn't visit some of the restaurants and eateries in the area. The home has a very cozy vibe despite the concrete floors and the small courtyard shared with Wayne County Police Dept is a nice place to enjoy a beer in the sun. We'll be back soon!

Zac and Renee's place is in a great location for visiting all the sights and neighborhoods of Detroit. Apartment is spacious, clean, super cute, and comes with a funny cat to host you during your stay. (he doesn't live in apartment, just visits from downstairs.) Apartment is on second floor above an office and feels very safe. Highly recommend!

This is one of the most amazing Airbnb's I've stayed in. Detroit is my passion so it was great to see those who share my passion in growing Detroit. The house is amazing and true Detroit architecture. It was easy to navigate, easily accessible, clean, roomy yet cozy, and just overall beautiful. I cannot wait to stay here again!

Our stay at Renee and Zac's Airbnb was wonderful! We were delighted by how incredibly spacious, light filled and peaceful the apartment is. You can't help but to feel relaxed when you're spending time here. The neighborhood is quiet and peaceful as well. Everything was clean, and communication clear. If you're someone who enjoys renovation, Be sure to ask Zac and Renee for a tour. You will see that they are putting their own personal stamp in the area. Right now their wild flowers are blooming on their side lot. Beautiful!

Beautiful apartment in a wonderful old house with lovely hosts - perfection. The neighborhood is quiet and convenient and parking is easy. I highly recommend chatting with Zac and Renee (and cat Taco), who are super friendly and a wealth of information. Couldn't recommend more highly and hope to be back next year!

Honor & Folly was everything my party of 4 thought it would be; charming, comfortable and convenient. Meghan's suggestions for places to check out in the neighbourhood did not disappoint...Slows, Mercury, Sugar House and Astro were all great. The wifi was a little spotty at times. Thankfully there was AC because it was crazy hot outside. I would stay again and recommend H&F to anyone traveling to Detroit. Thanks, Stacey

We loved this apartment and the location was fantastic. There was lots to do and see within walking distance and several great dining options. The apartment is beautiful, big, and well-stocked. We really appreciated the detailed email with directions, instructions, and recommendations in the neighbourhood. It made navigating our stay very easy and we really liked the yoga teacher who was recommended - she came to the apartment and gave us a great class. I really hope to stay here again. It was a wonderful weekend trip.

My husband, young son, and I enjoyed our stay at Meghan's "Honor and Folly" on brick-lined Michigan Avenue in Corktown. The apartment is spacious (by New York City standards), clean, cozy, quiet and nicely appointed. We enjoyed the neighborhood and recommend venturing out by car to The Detroit Institute of Bagels, Pewabic Pottery, Belle Isle, Rose's Fine Food, Eastern Market, The Detroit Historical Museum, and Detroit Institute of Arts (be sure to catch a film in the beautiful theater).

We truly enjoyed our stay in Detroit. The loft was beautiful and spacious and the beds were comfy and cozy. Thank you for the awesome binder of suggestions on good eats and things to do; Heidelberg Project, The Motown Museum and Katoi were definitely highlights for us. The neighbourhood was exactly what we pictured and we really liked the art and culture that came with it.

Kyle was a awesome host of his loft. We will definitely be staying at this beautiful space again! It was close to coffee shops and venues with private parking.

I would stay in this Air B&B again if I couldn't find a place closer to downtown. Took about 15 minutes to uber downtown and 5 minutes to wait for an uber because it's not huge in Detroit yet. A block away felt like the hood but the lofts are located on a busy street. The loft is very spacious and authentic to the Detroit area. Kyle was very helpful and answered right away when we had a problem.

Kyle's apartment is lovely. The apartment has high ceilings and huge windows. It is bright, airy, and very spacious. There is so much space it was very easy to roll out my travel yoga mat and practice in the morning light. A real treat! If you are a business traveler, you might want to bear that in mind that the apartment does not have a good work space. There is no desk or a table that could function as a desk. Overall, the furniture was on the shabby side with some stains and fraying that made it hard to relax and feel at home. But, again, the apartment is spectacular, and Kyle is an excellent host. He is very quick to response to questions and concerns. The toilet was broken when I arrived, and he send someone immediately to fix it! So attentive and speedy! He made checkin and checkout a breeze! Thank you, Kyle for an excellent stay!

Kyle was a very responsive host and emailed steadily through the AirBnB platform. The loft was very spacious, well-maintained and clean. The beds are fantastic. We contacted Kyle about the dim lighting for our work trip, lack of laundry detergent, a non-working oven, and a leaking Keurig. He offered some great solutions and even offered to switch us to another loft. Our rooftop balcony was undergoing repair, but there is a common rooftop area available. Parking was secure. After hours access to the loft was easy and secure. Kyle responded quickly and kindly in all instances. We'd be happy to stay here again.

The building is very nice, and the studio apartment itself is quite spacious, clean, and minimalistic. Gated area with several passcodes needed to fully enter the studio apartment. My Daughter and I felt very secure! Mark, the Co-Host, was great at explaining things, friendly, and always prompt to respond. Would come stay here again!

This is a great apartment in a great location. Just a couple of blocks from some awesome breweries, restaurants and shops. Jacquelyne is a wonderful host and was super helpful and responsive. We would definitely recommend this apartment and would stay here on our next visit to Detroit!

Great location and cozy place full equipment with dishwasher, laundry, and cooking. Across street Seldon Standard--delicious tasting food:) Stayed for a week while in Detroit on business. Was able to walk to WholeFoods market and grab über for business trips. Will stay again.

Jacquelyn's place is wonderful. It is in the perfect Midtown location, walking distance from a bunch of restaurants, particularly my favorite in Detroit. I hope it is available for each of my return trips to Detroit.

Sue and Felix were very nice to us. We liked their barn very much. safe and private. I like the style of interior(cool atmosphere and windows everywhere to get fresh breeze, lots of space. impressive bathroom. nice kitchen and chalkboard everywhere to enjoy, bed sheet was very smooth. i did sleep very well and comfy). Also, Sue and Felix are willing to get feedback from us to improve when we checked out. Very nice people. Definitely want to comeback again.

We had a fabulous stay in the Barn Loft! Warren, Sue, Felix and Nathan were fabulous hosts. The property was adorable. We loved the coffee house and the coffee was fantastic. It was nice to be close to the greenway and had a great 7.5 mile ride to a winery! All in all, I would highly recommend!

There are so many facets to a great air bnb experience and Warren and his team hit them all! They were so accommodating, prepared, and friendly. The location is outstanding—it definitely defines “peaceful” and it is so conveniently located to so many great destinations---wine country, restaurants, etc. Additionally, another facet of a great bnb experience is the character of the location/house and this place is an excellent example. We truly felt like we had escaped the monotony of our everyday life and yet we were still so close to home. I never got to meet the host but he was very welcoming and timely with his responses. The place is just as described. He also gave idea's of things to do in the area. My only complaint would be the amount of spiders and webs inside and outside the house, as I really hate bugs (i'm not much of an outdoorsy person).

Chris was a very good host. This was our first experience using Airbnb and it was a great experience. Although we never met him (we were there for rest and relaxation, so we were grateful for no visits) Chris answered our few questions promptly. The cottage was exactly as shown - quiet area, and being right on the river was great!!

Location of Chris' home is beautiful, right on Pike Creek, a really lovely setting. The living room was very comfortable. However, we found the main bedroom very small for two people to maneuver comfortably, and the kitchen was a bit disorganized and lacked some basics such as a kettle for tea. The shower was also rather tight. We were surprised to find laundry was left in the washer and dryer. A really nice location, but a somewhat less than comfortable stay overall.

Quaint and quiet are the words I would use to describe this cottage. Chris provides all the amenities as listed which is more than enough to enjoy a relaxing weekend if you are looking for a getaway but still want to be able to cook. While there is no oven, there is a toaster oven, microwave, fridge, large range, and a gas bbq. Wifi worked great! A selection of dvds and cable channels to choose from. The living room has ample space and high ceilings. There is a musty-moldy odor, dusty fans/vents which was not very respiratory friendly, and due to heavy rain there were some leaks in the ceiling during our stay (which may account for the aforementioned musty-moldy odor). The bedrooms are a bit snug to say the least as is the shower. If you are not a nature/animal lover, this may not be the space for you since we had a friendly opossum visit us regularly as well as a fluffy cat that seemed to hang around the property/under the deck. The canal was quiet murky due to the rains I imagine, but the traffic across from the canal wasn't bad, and looking out from the deck was indeed quite peaceful and relaxing just as we had hoped. This is definitely a rustic retreat from city life that allows you to disconnect and unwind without actually being out in the boonies. Thanks Chris!

This place had everything we needed for a quiet couple of days. It was small yet roomy and restful with comfy beds. The front yard with spring flowers was nice and we loved the open view to the creek at the back. I will repeat something several earlier reviewers mentioned though: The place is very clean and tidy, but as it is a cottage, there are a few spiders. Chris was great and responded quickly when needed. Thanks so very much!

We had such a great stay. Barb and Don were friendly and helpful. They gave us our space while staying in their basement. They are very sweet and accommodating. The house is in a quiet residential area but close to local attractions.

On a Monday afternoon in Essex we turned onto the dirt road of the 14th Concession, headed to a blissful beginning at the 14th Coffee Company, a place where the sky met the acres upon acres of farmland in nature's perfect horizon line. The amber and sienna sunflowers greeted us with a sunny hello and Pinot the dog and Cali the cat trotted up the drive to check us in. The farmhouse was delicately designed to make guests feel as if they were being hugged by grandmother's quilt while being mindful of a simple, modern rustic vibe. The colourful hammock begged for a body and a book and the hot tub quietly bubbled. We were delighted. We left to go to nearby Kingsville , a treasure of a town, and later our host, Warren checked in on us again after sunset and enjoyed a glass of something red with us as the fireflies lit the night sky. Our two days at the coffee roastery were perfection. The coffee was aromatic, the company delightful and our visit to point Pelee and the surrounding wineries and foodie destinations delightful. I highly recommend a visit to the 14th.

We stayed here as part of a biking weekend to Pelee Island. The house was lovely. Big bath, clean hot tub, seemed recently renovated and in a quiet country community. Warren lived in a renovated barn (which he plans to rent out for weddings/ yoga weekends) at the back of the property and was there if we needed, but mostly left us to ourselves. The hot tub is a real winner! After cleaning off our biking day with a shower, we grabbed our swimsuits, hopped in and enjoyed the stars and watched hundreds of fireflies dance in the surrounding fields. We hopped across the border to Detroit one day too, which was easy enough to do for a change of scenery in a short amount of time. Be sure to try and go home with some of Warren's locally roasted 14th coffee!

Warren was a fabulous host! He has done an amazing job renovating this farmhouse and barn, and has created an epic coffee house, all out in the beautiful countryside of Essex County! It's nice and close to the town of Essex, Kingsville and Windsor. We felt at home immediately when we were greeted by Warren's lovely dog Pinot! We enjoyed the hot tub while watching the sunset and seeing the lightning bugs dance in the fields. We will be back! It's more than just a place to stay, it's a destination!

Simply heavenly! Everything, the house, the land, the roasting facility, the "old" new barn, the greenhouse, the hot tub, was fabulous. We were the second guests but we know there will be many others. Thanks Warren for making us feel at home. We shall see you again.

Andrew's housekeeper Laura was delightful when she welcomed us at the house. She gave us a very thorough tour of the house and property. She ensured that we had some grocery items for breakfast such as fresh baked bread, organic eggs, bananas, muffins and milk. She provided her cell phone number should we have any issues. The house was exactly as described. There was more than enough sleeping accommodations for our 9 people. The massage table was a bonus as we had a massage therapist come to the house to give treatments. Everyone enjoyed the kayaks, played frisbee in the water and fed the geese. Another big hit was the games room where we played darts, pool and ping pong. The property and gardens around the house, however, have not been maintained; and the outdoor hot tub was not working. We did not mind this so much as we were more interested in spending time on the deck and having campfires on the beach. The accommodation worked well for us as it had something for everyone. It was within an hour's drive so it was a convenient weekend getaway. Also, we went for a walk in the Russell Woods community and there are some spectacular homes to see. We had a great time! Andrew was very nice and prompt. The driveway flooded but it wasn't a big deal. There was plenty if space and we loved all the games. The kitchen was well stocked. The beach was a little overgrown but once in the water it wasn't a big deal. Overall, it was a great vacation.

The location is amazing. Very quiet with beautiful sunsets.

Wow, what a great experience staying in this beautiful house! The pictures simply do not show how amazing this home is. It was the perfect first airbnb experience. Andrew was more than accommodating and was extremely flexible with our check in/out times. The yoga room was fantastic and cooking in that kitchen was a pleasure! I only met Andrew once upon our check-in (he was very respectful of our privacy and I hope we were also respectful of his!) and he was a charming host and very welcoming. We'd recommend this place to anyone.

Andrew has a great place here and made the stay smooth and comfortable for us. The house is great, right on the water, and perfect for larger groups. We would definitely come back!

Adnrew is fantastic. Always replied immediately and was incredibly accomodating. We had a large group and he left us an incredible amount of breakfast fixings and goodies which was well appreciated. I definitely recommend this place for retreats and/or with your familiy

Best deal on airbnb- hands down. We absolutely loved the house and only wish we could have stayed longer. The view is spectacular from the master bedroom. Kitchen/dining area was a blast to hang out in. Andrew is incredibly helpful and provides guests with a nice book describing the features and how tos of the house- very useful for such a large place. Just an overall incredible experience. Can't wait to come back.

Andrew is a wonderful and responsive host! His home is extremely spacious, comfortable, and relaxing. I took my parents and 2 sons for a few days to unplug and enjoy the cool air and gorgeous lake view. The kids LOVED the huge games room with ping pong table and I loved the lack of electronics, the large soaking tub and the sauna. The kitchen was well-equipped and we loved spending time together in the large dining and living rooms. The cable and wifi temporarily went out one day and thanks to Andrew, the local company came that same day and restored everything. This would never have been so easy in Texas! Like every home, this one has its little quirks (the back door sticks, unusual floor plan), but he is honest about that, and his listing and info book helped us know what to expect and truly enjoy our stay. Quiet, peaceful neighborhood. Loved watching the bunnies and geese in the backyard. Made very special memories with my family, and for that I am extremely thankful. Nice value for the space and amenities. If you are looking for Four Seasons room service and luxe appointed rooms, it may not be for you, but you're probably not on airbnb...
