High-altitude family home surrounded by nature

Our house is located in the Haut-Jura Regional Natural Park at an altitude of 1000 m. Former 19th century farmhouse, it was successively a summer camp, a gîte and then a family home. We renovated it with quality natural materials. The 230 m2 house is intended for lovers of old stones but also Art and Design in search of a comfortable haven of peace to recharge your batteries in the middle of nature, 1 hour from Geneva and 1 hour 45 minutes from Lyon.

The old Risoux lodge (Alt. 1187 m)

An old lodge (Jurassic alpine farm) lost in the Risoux forest. Accessible by car in the absence of snow. In winter, accessible by snowshoes or cross-country skis. Warning: old-fashioned lifestyle without electricity or bathroom. Wood-burning stove heating. The running water comes from the rainwater tank. The dry toilets are outside, 30 meters behind the house. Bring a sleeping bag or sheets, pillowcases and fitted sheets, as well as a kitchen towel.
