Indulge in what nature can bring you. The large windows make you feel like you are already outside. Mind you we have chairs and a hammock for your leisure outside. Breakfast is usually served outside as well. We want you to feel in peace with nature. Double size bed.
Relaxation. This is what you get when you enter this home by the lake. There are enough windows to see right through the house. Secluded in a wooded area, you will feel the calm enveloping you. Bring some books or an e-book. If you want to decompress, this is the place to be. You will leave fresh and ready for all life can bring you. There is an hammock in the summer and hopefully some ice skating in the winter. Very courteous and attentive service and friendly tips on the attractions. A good night sleep. We are 20 minute drive from the MacDonald Bridge crossing to Halifax. There are no restaurants within two minutes drive. Only one store. There is a community bus within three kilometers. Our place is unique as it has won an honorable mention in the Architectural Design Awards in 2006. There are not many homes in Halifax that have a room with a glass garage door facing a lake if any. You should check our Retreat by the Cove for a queen size bed.
It is very quiet and private and only 15 minutes from the city. We are ten minutes drive to Conrad beach and Lawrencetown beach. Lawrencetown beach is a well known place to surf. You can even rent the equipment and get a beginner's class.
  • My partner and I loved staying with Paul and Joey! If only we had planned our trip so that we could have stayed longer! The epic beauty of Joey and Paul's home is outweighed by their amazing ability as friendly and accommodating hosts. Our short stay was full of great conversation and laughter and we felt as though we had met before. After a great restaurant recommendation and a peaceful sleep in a very comfortable bed Joey made a very impressive breakfast for us all (best of our trip!) before we had to say goodbye. Our hope is to make it back one day soon....for more than just one night! Thanks so much = )

  • A fantastic mini-getaway during our trip to Nova Scotia. Joey and Paul were very accommodating throughout our stay. Although we were arriving late at night, Joey was still up and warmly invited us in. Had a fantastic time chatting while sipping from the wide selection of teas. The location is astounding; the view is beautiful, and their home is gorgeous. The pictures don't really do it justice, but we can definitely say the listing description is accurate. The breakfasts that Joey prepared were also fantastic. Again, a description doesn't quite do things justice (you'll have to stop by and find out). Overall, we had a great time. The company at the B&B were very friendly, and we struck off quite a few great conversations over breakfast and throughout the day. Strongly and highly recommend Joey and Paul's!

  • Paul and Joey were wonderful hosts. They were very communicative and wanted to ensure that they were home for our arrival. When we did finally arrive, much later than we had anticipated they both greeted us and spent some time with us while we ate our takeout. They made us tea, told us about themselves and their home and asked us about ourselves. We felt so comfortable and welcomed and greatly enjoyed both Paul and Joey's company. They even set up the dining room for our breakfast the next morning and left us all the breakfast foods we would want. Their home was absolutely beautiful with the view of the lake, the amazing art and real fireplace. Our room was incredibly comfortable and well decorated. Next time we visit Halifax we will be staying with Joey and Paul for sure.

  • Wonderful place to stay. Relaxing environment, amazing hosts, excellent food. The reviews we read before we stayed were all on point. 5 star!

    Will2017-02-19T00:00:00Z
  • Joey was there to greet us and he did a fabulous job getting us settled in to their idyllic location. As you turn into the tree lined driveway you leave the hustle bustle and stress behind. The windows show off the fantastic view. The hosts are kind to share their lovely home that has all the amenities to cook and relax. This location is 30 minutes approx to downtown Halifax. The breakfast was tasty and nutritious. We look forward our next stay.

  • I had the opportunity to stay at Paul's wonderful home for two nights. If you want a completely relaxing experience while also being close to what Halifax has to offer, you cannot find anything better. Paul was a great host and the house and area are incredible.

  • Amazing tranquil bed and breakfast located just 20 minutes outside of Halifax. Thoughtful details in a quiet lakeside retreat setting with blissful little wild duckings lawn-side. Healthy, gourmet, food design that was as pure art on the breakfast table. Best Bed and Breakfast experience we have encountered with noteworthy hospitality, local knowledge, and very comfortable sleeping accommodations. Simply the finest...

  • Staying with Paul and Joey has been fabulous! They are really kind and welcoming, super hosts! The house is amazing, so quiet and comfortable. It's better than in the pictures and the atmosphere is magic. We really suggest to stay here with Paul and Joey, you will make new special friends and you feel yourself really better. Hope to stay here again!

Entire top floor of multi unit home in Eastern Passage, Nova Scotia, Canada. Waterfront with breathtaking views of McNabs and Lawlers Island Provincial Parks. Less than 5 minutes from Fisherman's Cove, boardwalk, & beach. 20 minutes from downtown Halifax. Large flat, private deck.
Waterfront living in an old east coast fishing village that is growing up with the City of Halifax. Best of both worlds, close to the city but the peace and quiet of a small community.
Originally a fishing village, Eastern Passage is now a suburb of the City of Halifax. The owners great grandparents where from Devil's Island at the mouth of the harbour.
  • The apartment had a beautiful view and was so comfotable and accomodating. We had to check in late and he accommodated us. The place looks exactly like the pics and the bed was super comfy:)

    Olivier2015-08-09T00:00:00Z
  • Ryan was a good communicator prior to our visit. The apartment is as described and in a convenient location for exploring Fishermans Cove and McNabs Island. He was helpful in arranging for a boat to take us over to the Island. Would stay again

    Rebecca2015-09-20T00:00:00Z
  • Only positive things from Ryan's little piece of paradis! The pad is equipped with all you need for a great and relaxing vacation. The huge tub is awesome and a must try! The ocean view in the mornings makes a great start of your day. The pad is a short and easy travel to halifax. We give this place and especially our host, 2thumbs up !!!

    Philippe2017-01-05T00:00:00Z
  • Ryan's place is a great space for a couple or family. It is out of the city but close (driving distance) to Dartmouth and Halifax. It was perfect for us as we were in the area so our dog could have a veterinary procedure. Ryan and his family were welcoming and kind to all of us! We'll definitely book again when we're in the area. Thank you!

    Leigh & Will2017-02-18T00:00:00Z
  • We loved the place and we felt very welcome and at ease! It was raining so we couldn't benefit from the ocean spot but this house will definitely be on our list next time we visit. AMAZING experience

    Aline2016-07-15T00:00:00Z
  • The place was very good for me and my daughter, Ryan and his mom were awesome and Grace (my daughter) just loved them, they helped whenever possible if we had questions etc. It was simple to get around and Ryan due to our late arrival, Ryan took us to the grocery store and waited for us. Everything is really close or easy to get to by bus, and upon us leaving Ryans mom offered to drive us to the airport as it was pouring and would have been difficult to get there.... Lovely lovely people and again my daughter felt right at home

    Lyra2016-10-11T00:00:00Z
  • Great location, great view, great host (Ryan's Mom, as Ryan was away) Enough said, it is exactly what is said in the listing. Country cottage vibe in the city limits.

** Most loved Canadian listing east of Toronto, and one of the top 7 in Canada!** (Buzzfeed and CBC, 2016) Quirky seaside loft set high in the trees (and accessed by boardwalk) features deck with harbour view (sunsets, whales, sailboats); skylight-lit dining nook; snug double bed with ocean view; and enough floorspace to practice your tango moves. BEFORE YOU BOOK: be sure to write to me with all your details, and your pitch for how you'll leave it in better shape than you found it! :-)
Quirky seaside studio apartment set high in the trees (and accessed by boardwalk) features deck with harbour view (fabulous sunsets, seals, whales, sailboats); skylight-lit dining nook; snug double bed with ocean view; and enough floorspace to practice your tango moves. 15 minute walk to gorgeous swimming lake, 5 minute walk to bus-stop, 15 minute drive to downtown Halifax (restaurants, festivals, shows...), 1 minute walk to kayak launching point, and plenty of hiking, biking, adventuring and relaxing. Self-catering - fridge, gas stove, pots and pans and all your cooking needs. Blissfully free of TV and telephone, there is a large collection of books, records, and cassettes, as well as wifi if you get desperate for distraction. ***This is my personal home, and full of my favourite things, my art collection, my antique record collection, etc. I like to know as much as possible about you so I can be sure to leave my place in the 'right hands' while I'm away. If you have not stayed with me before, be sure to write me with the full names of ALL guests, who you 'are', what you do, why you're interested in my place in particular, and whether you're the kind of person who takes pleasure in leaving a place in better condition than you found it. I do not standardly charge a cleaning fee, but I do ask my guests to get the apartment all ready for the next arrivals (bed made, dishes washed and put away, floors swept, vacuumed, and mopped, etc whatever you can think of). ***When you write to ask about the apartment, be sure to tell me if this is the sort of thing that appeals to you.*** If you would rather pay an additional cleaning fee, please indicate that in your message, and I will try to find someone to clean for you. Also, If you love love love my place, and KNOW you're the perfect fit, but there are only 2 nights available (my minimum says 3), write to me and ask. I may well invite you to stay. :-)
Just on the outskirts of Halifax and a 15-20 min drive to the city core, Purcell's Cove is one of those unique places in the world with a real 'getaway' feel. My immediate neighbours are artists, writers, filmmakers and yoga teachers. I grew up just next door (and my mum still lives there), and can give you tips on what to see and visit while you stroll around.
  • Munju is a very responsive host. She was out of town when I arrived, but arranged for someone else to greet me and provided muesli, fruit, milk, juice and tea. I spent a week at her apartment and didn't want to leave! It is bright, spacious, beautifully and comfortably decorated, very private and quiet, and in a stunning spot: right on the water and surrounded by woods but a short 5-10 minute drive to groceries, gas, etc. and about 10 minute drive to central Halifax. You look out on the water from the bed and water, trees, and coves from all the other windows and skylights. The surrounding property is lovely and the neighborhood has lots of walking or hiking trails. The only slightly awkward aspect of the apartment was the bathtub, which can only be used for a bath (or a sit-down shower), but this wouldn't deter me from staying here again!

  • We had a lovely stay at the Bohemian Seaside Studio. Here is where you get the real feel of the Nova Scotian mist fog when you might ask yourself, "why the heck do they keep thing the church bell all though out the night?" Well I figured out it was the fog bell! The location of the apartment is gorgeous and the view spectacular. The apartment itself has a great feel with blonde wood floor, white walls, a spacious arrangement of furniture, colourful soft sheets and tasteful decor. It has a positive, creative vive with great angles and cool shelving. Unique. There is a beautiful hike to a secluded lake nearby and beautiful Crystal Crescent Beach is not far. The only thing to deal with in the summer is the heat in the attic apartment. From 27 degrees and above it gets hot. So prepare yourself for that. Any other season the apartment is absolutely perfect. Munju was a conscientious host who checked in regularly to make sure we had everything. She cares about her guests and you feel that. Thanks for a special stay in a special place! Highly recommended.

  • The name says it all. If you are looking for a retreat, a place to escape away from it all, yet so close to downtown Halifax, this is it! Arriving at the studio, you will walk the plank to arrive at the third story entrance to the ocean front home. AMAZING in itself. The deck looks out to over more than 180 degrees of harbor view. There is plenty of activity going on with ship traffic, fishermen checking their traps, and sailboats passing by. The views are breathtaking. Inside the studio, a comfortable and cozy space awaits you. Visually stunning and so well appointed with Monique's personal collections of books, music, and art. Bad weather beware - there is plenty to do inside if Mother Nature does not cooperate. The kitchen is lovely and well equipped. The bed so comfy. You won't be disappointed. Already planning a return visit!

    Ian2013-05-20T00:00:00Z
  • I had an incredible stay in Munju's GORGEOUS home. Sat in the moonlight out on the porch my first night pinching myself. The space is funky and uplifting, the perfect place do some writing. The location strikes a great balance of being connected to Halifax and secluded. I went for a walk to a nearby lake one morning, read bits from her amazing book collection when I got stuck on my project, and had great sleeps. All kitchen and bath appliances are clean and modern. The bed is super cosy and tucked into a window so you see the water with your head on the pillow. Thanks, Munju, for having me! It was such a treat...

  • We loved staying at Monique's. We had just spent the weekend in a rural area and the studio proved to be just what we needed, an inspiring home surrounded by natural beauty (hello harbour! hello purcell's pond!!) that easily allowed for urban discoveries. Thanks Monique!

  • We had a fabulous time at the lovely Bohemian Seaside Studio. Even though our visit coincided with three straight days of rain, this place was absolutely perfect for snuggling with some good wine, books, and music while listening to the sounds of the rain and sea outside. It was great to have a quiet little haven so close to the city.

  • The seaside studio was more than ideal for a 10 day get away from NY. I found Halifax to be a few dollars pricier than Brooklyn as far as food and drink is concerned so be prepared. The people of Halifax were warm and friendly. It is a very small town and you'll see some of the same faces on consecutive nights out. Munju's studio is quiet with interesting angles, lots of light and fresh air. The best part was a surprise, Munju has amassed an incredible collection of books on all the subjects that interest me: myth, architecture, love, quantum physics, photography. I spent most of my time reading during the day and taking the bus into town at night. I thought the Armview restaurant bar was charming. Good food and great people. It's located near the roundabout on Chebucto. Elephant and castle downtown has great food and a nice atmosphere. I also enjoyed the Brussels bar but the food was so so and overpriced. The Carleton has a great bar and is a nice place for live music. I had an unforgettable night at Gus's during a dance party that didn't come to life till after 1am. Haligonians know how to have a great time.

Incredible character! This studio is in a 1896 Victorian historic house with original hardwood floors, 9-foot ceilings and shellacked wooden accents through out the place. It is gorgeous! The studio has its own private bathroom and kitchenette. It is perfectly located, literally on Dalhousie University campus, just a few blocks away from the heart of downtown and the hospitals. There are other 3 independent units in the house. See the detailed description (below) for their AirBnB links.
Live in a historic house from 1896 with original hardwood floors, 9-feet ceilings, antique stained glass windows, and shellacked wooden stairs, doors and accents. A true Victorian atmosphere! The room has it all for an independent stay in a compact atmosphere. It has microwave, toaster oven, kettle and coffee maker and all for a salad and quick meal. No cooking top. The house has 4 independent units. All units share a common foyer entrance, but each unit has its own bathroom(s) and kitchen. Although none of the units have a living room, there is a shared living area in the foyer area on the second floor. See links below to see each unit: https://www.airbnb.ca/rooms/13727309 https://www.airbnb.ca/rooms/13742986 https://www.airbnb.ca/rooms/13743657 https://www.airbnb.ca/rooms/13721952 PARKING: There is ample parking space at the back of the house.
Our house is located in the so called "South End" neighbourhood. It is just beautiful! It is a residential area mainly made of "Victorian style" old houses. The neighbourhood is also home to Dalhousie University, and our house is literally on Campus. The neighbourhood is safe, clean and full of trees. It is inhabited mainly by middle and upper-middle class families (several schools around). During the day, you'll see lots of university students walking from one class to another. This neighbourhood is sought-after because of its strategically central location, walking distance to downtown and all Halifax's attractions.
  • Cinthia, thank you so much for allowing us to share your beautiful heritage home. It was so comfortable, cozy, quiet, warm, inviting, everything you needed was supplied, and I was so close to my doctor's appt and my sister-in-laws! It reminded us if our old heritage home. Ease of entry and exit. We will definitely be contacting you again, as I have to come back over when another test is scheduled. I have told so many of my friends about the place! Thanks again, Patti and Bill Butler

    Andrew2016-12-16T00:00:00Z
  • We enjoyed our stay at Cinthia's apartment. It is a very charming apartment in a lovely building on a quiet street. Cinthia was a lovely hostess, easily accessible, and responsive to our requests.

  • With Dalhousie University nearby, the neighborhood is quite lively, even though it is not downtown (which is easily within reach by foot). The house itself is charming and the host has established a clear channel of communication and valuable indications in order to reach smoothly the location (restaurant recommendations and many touristic leaflets are available on the premises).

    Sophie2017-10-28T00:00:00Z
  • Great location, not too far from downtown, right by the university, would recommend!

    Renaud2018-01-23T00:00:00Z
  • My husband and I loved staying in Cinthia's place! The location was great, we were able to walk everywhere we wanted to go. The house itself was charming with lovely stained glass. The instructions were super clear and the whole process was a breeze. We would definitely stay here again if we return to Halifax!

Beautiful, safe, waterfront residential urban neighbourhood
  • Great little place in a nice neighborhood. Walking distance from cafes, restaurants, and other spots. Comfortable for a couple.

    Sarah2017-10-07T00:00:00Z
  • Great location to walk the Hydrostone neighborhood or link up with the habourfront walk into town. Cozy space. Perfect if you’re eating out for all your meals or having takeaway. Great to have parking and use of the washer/dryer. Loved Halifax and walking around the city!

  • Stayed 2 nights in this basement apartment. It was in a great location of the city. Though I never personally met Martha, we spoke through messages and she was very accommodating and replied quickly to messages which was great.

  • Value accommodations in an excellent location to explore Halifax and the many lovely beaches, cliffs, and lighthouses along the coast near Halifax.

    Merrick2014-06-12T00:00:00Z
  • Martha's suite at her house is very convenient to downtown Halifax. We sure appreciated her offer of the laundry as soon as we arrived. The bed could have been bigger for us. It was only a double and we are two friends traveling together but we managed. Walking distance to restaurants and shops.

    Cheryl2015-08-23T00:00:00Z
  • everything is prefect。

    Huan2015-12-30T00:00:00Z
  • A lovely little apartment and very conveniently situated. Ceiling is very thin and you can hear everything in the house above, so not very quiet until the kids’ bed time.

    Jennifer2018-01-09T00:00:00Z
  • First off, Martha and her family are awesome. Martha's communication with us was easy and excellent from the time we booked. The place was clean, and the perfect size for my girlfriend and I. The toaster oven and microwave were perfect for making breakfast and snacks to take on out for the day. The bed was so comfy. Location: we couldn't ask for better. It was about 20-30 minute walk to downtown (less than $10 cab ride), 15 to groceries, and 5 to a great bakery and great little street with shops. The neighbourhood was great, quiet, and often people would just stop and say hi walking down the street. I would highly recommend Martha's to anyone coming into Halifax!

"Magical place" is how many people have described my studio space on a large deck, dock in a private cove on an island with the best east coast surfing. Wake up to the changing tides, lively bird life and sounds of surf. Wood stove, loft add extra charm
This winterized studio has a wood stove and small loft for an extra person. The main space has two moveable beds to your liking so during the day as living room and night a bedroom. There is wifi and a provisional toilet at the studio warm showers and kitchen facilities are in the main house one minute away through a little magical forest. The main house is an open concept with two separate living and dining areas. The first living area in the front of the house is around the wood stove and window seat. The second living area is the large sun room off the kitchen also with a dining area. . The bathroom is on the main floor beside the laundry room ,off the kitchen. It has both tub and shower. The house has its special charm with cathedral ceilings and skylights in two different areas, natural wood and treasured eclectic collection of memories . My home is small but mighty with warmth and comfort .
AN ISLAND ... Surf , fishing village , outer islands to explore ,crows teasing the eagles, sand pipers feasting on clams at low tide. Diverse community of surfers, fishermen, artists . Experience a north east storm . Buy a lobster right off the boat. Bring your surf board, paddle board ,kayak ,use my canoe....hike the East Coast Trail. Lots of rentals for all this stuff. Beside Lawrencetown beach the main surfing beach about 8 minutes away, there are many other beautiful pristine beaches in the area and beautiful provincial parks . Full shopping services at Porters Lake about 12 minutes away . There is a wonderful country store with everything about five minutes way. Halifax ,our capital and historic city is about a forty five minute drive....lots of interesting life there too.
  • Susan and her family were generous hosts who invited me to participate in numerous activities during my stay including clam digging and dinner, surfing, boogie boarding, etc. Susan provided breakfast and coffee every morning and was sure to discuss potential areas to explore. The studio itself is a well built and beautiful place to stay with windows looking out to the water. I often woke up to the sunrise or an exciting thunderstorm. Thank you Susan for sharing your space!

    Rachel2015-08-01T00:00:00Z
  • I can't imagine a more wonderful host or place to stay than Susan and her studio. The studio has big glass doors looking right out onto the ocean. Susan and her family made us feel like one of them. We watched the tides go in and out. Built fires in the wood stove at night. Enjoyed home made pizza with the family one night. Not only was the place perfect but we were touched by Susan and her family's generosity and warmth during our visit. Big Thank You!

    Claire2015-07-25T00:00:00Z
  • Great place with awesome ocean view right on the door step. Susan's grandson visited on the same day, he took us out for clam digging, great experience! Thanks

  • Loved, loved, loved Susan's studio on the water! Susan is very kind and accomodating. It's true when she referred to the studio as glamping, glamorous camping. It's so quiet and serene. Highly recommend it if you want the best of nature in the best simplistic manner.

    Andreas2018-04-30T00:00:00Z
  • Susan was great host! she helped me get a lobster from the fishing village down the street and was always up for some good conversation. The place was very peaceful too

  • You have seen the photos. There it is! Nature and simple life with a trendy and bohemian twist. You will wake up with natural lighting since there are no drapes. You will ear the waves and feel the breeze. The garden and the environment all over and further are incredible and have so much to offer! Marvelous! Suzan is the genuine AirBnb host. She shares with generosity and we are happy to have met such an incredible person. We loved having discovered that place.

    Louise2018-07-15T00:00:00Z
  • Susan definitely is a super host. She is helpful, friendly and communicative. Staying at her Surf Studio was a pleasure and the peacefulness of this place is absolutely relaxing. Thank you Susan.

This RUSTIC yet homey space is perched high in the attic of a century-old home. This quaint ONE bedroom private studio offers a queen bed, wee den with couch(not a pull out), nice-sized kitchenette with a large toaster oven, two-burner cooktop and microwave, and full bath. A quick stroll to the Hydrostone Market area, & located 5 min cab drive to downtown. There's a double mattress in the bedroom closet for kids. Let me know in advance to make linens available if you need this bed.
It's pretty tiny, but you'll feel as cosy as a bug in a rug in my attic suite that offers everything you'll need for your stay. There are great harbour views from the east-facing windows. Lots of stairs to get there with no elevator, but worth the climb! Note that the listing advertises Air Conditioning but this refers to the window air conditioner in the bedroom space only. The rest of the apartment doesn't face the sun and remains fairly comfortable during the rare heat wave we may get in coastal Halifax.
The apartment is located in the north end of the city, just on the edge of the Hydrostone neighborhood which boasts a charming market featuring cafés, restaurants and unique shops. Grab your daily bread from Julien's Bakery and Salvatore's makes the best pizza in town. We have a neighborhood Starbucks too and there's a new bistro opening up this summer in the Hydrostone Market.
  • Great place. Had a great stay. Fantastic pizzarea just up the street.

  • Donna was great. She contacted me in advance to find out what my food preferences were so that she could leave me some breakfast items which I thought was very thoughtful. Her place was fantastic! Clean, conveniently located for me and adorably decorated. When I arrived I said to my friend "I feel like I'm staying in a magazine!" It was perfect. The stairs outside to access the unit might be an issue to some, wasn't a problem for me. Less than a five minute walk to the Hydrostone area, also a plus. If I'm back in Halifax I would definitely stay with Donna again.

  • Donna’s place is really a cottage in the sky - with amazing views. It has everything you need & it is located in a great neighbourhood - about a 20 minute walk from downtown Halifax. Very cute & very comfortable stay. Lots of stairs, so keep that in mind if mobility is an issue.

    Andrew2018-05-24T00:00:00Z
  • Thank you very much, Donna! My husband & I had an amazing getaway without the kids - your place was beautiful with an incredible view! It was situated near the Downtown area & a quick stroll up the hill to a dynamite pizza place + cafe (where we grabbed our early morning coffee and pastry every day!). Your place was immaculate, clean, and had a beautiful rustic touch. I would stay at your place again in a heartbeat! Thanks again for the wonderful vacation stay!

  • This adorable airbnb is the perfect place to stay in Halifax. Donna is wonderful and I highly recommend her cosy apartment. Great value for the money.

    Dana2016-11-11T00:00:00Z
  • The attic is super cozy, breezy, and bright. We had a wonderful stay. The location is a little out of the way, but the space itself makes up for it. Thanks Donna!

    Keisha2017-06-07T00:00:00Z
  • Donna was very helpful and her place is great. I would definitely stay there again. There was only a few downsides in my mind that may not matter to others. I am a air conditioning snob. It's very hard for me to sleep without AC or a cool room. Fortunately, I was able to crank the little AC in the master bedroom to cool it down on a hot night, but it was a little frustrating at first. The second night I just opened the windows and the whole attic was chilly. The only other downside is the location is a bit far from "downtown". But a short cab ride and you're there. So, again, please know Donna was great and that I would stay there again...just wanted to point out the minor drawbacks. Great bang for your buck.

Situated in Historic North end Halifax this property is just a 5 minute walk from downtown, and less than that to some of the City's best restaurants and coffee shops. With two full bedrooms it is ideal for up to 4 guests. Explore the best Halifax has to offer without ever having to drive!
This beautiful condo is located in a Historic renovated Church, and is in one of Halifax's most up and coming neighbourhoods. Surrounded by great restaurants and only a ten minute walk to to waterfront it is sure to provide the utmost convenience for any guest.
In my opinion the best neighbourhood in Halifax! I have lived here for many years now and have never felt a greater sense of community anywhere in Halifax. The best restaurants and bars on Gottingen St. are just around the corner, and a walk downtown is less than 10 minutes. Agricola St. is also just 10 minutes away featuring more great bars and coffee shops.
  • This is a beautiful unit in the upper loft of an old church with sweeping arches built into the unit. Two bedrooms including a loft - I'll be back next time I'm in Halifax.

  • Andrew and Lincoln's loft is super cozy! They are extra hospitable and shared local tips. If traveling with a car/renting a car, I suggest checking in with them to see if they have a parking space available, as I had trouble with overnight parking.

    Allie2018-03-23T00:00:00Z
  • Andrew and Lincoln were amazing hosts. The transitions upon arrival were smooth and communication with them was easy. Even when we needed some quick answers to questions we had, they were more than helpful in getting us responses in a timely manner. We loved our trip to Halifax and thank Andrew and Lincoln for making part of it so wonderful. We would recommend that anybody stay here anytime.

  • This place was rad, and in a great location to explore cool areas of Halifax by foot. The suite was everything I expected it to be, and if I had any concerns the host was super friendly and accessible for help and accommodation. Would definitely recommend staying here!

    Madalena2017-01-30T00:00:00Z
  • This was by far one of the best Airbnb locations I have ever stayed at. Lincoln's place is central to everything a person would want to do in Halifax, and it is about a 10 minute walk from downtown. Lincoln himself was extremely friendly and was very quick with his replies to any questions I had. The place itself was absolutely beautiful, and the beds were so comfortable! I would highly recommend this place to anybody looking to spend time in Halifax, and I will most certainly be back.

    Bradley2016-12-31T00:00:00Z
  • Great place! Very unique and cozy, our favourite Airbnb place so far! Also very clean and the bed was comfortable. The location is great and central, walking distance to downtown. Would definitely stay there again. Highly recommended!

  • Loved this place! Well located, walking distance to the harbourfront on a quaint residential street. Loved the concept of an old church renovated into condos. Very clean and spacious and great decor. Andrew was very friendly and helpful. Highly recommend this place for a stay in Halifax.

  • I would not be surprised if this is the best Airbnb in Halifax! Our stay was great and we really enjoyed sleeping there for two nights. The apartment was very clean, cozy and a short walking distance to downtown. Thanks to the super hosts! We highly recommend.

Location, Location, Location. Unique, ultra modern condo in the heart of up-and-coming central Halifax, minutes from downtown, perfect for two. Totally renovated. Brilliant layout & decor. A creative concept with outstanding workmanship resulting in an urban industrial feel. Excellent use of space that impresses as soon as you walk in the door. In the building: The Nook, snacks, light meals, alcohol, coffee. Across the street: LF Bakery, exquisite French bakery+coffee, Edna, award winning resto.
This fully furnished ultra modern one bedroom condo is certain to impress once you enter the front door. With nine-foot ceilings, it features an open concept living room, and dining and kitchen area. The living room features a comfortable sofa and armchair. There are three stainless steel appliances, fridge, stove and dishwasher, plus a microwave. A built in centre island is ideal for eating with ample seating and there's sufficient room for it to function as a large workspace in addition to the eating area. Attractive sliding glass doors separate the bedroom from the rest of the living area. The bathroom is sleek and modern with a tiled shower/bathtub and a stacked washer and dryer. The entrance to the unit is from a beautiful and well-maintained central courtyard. At the end of the courtyard there is a small deck overlooking the street where you'll find tables and chairs on the deck. Electronic essentials: high speed WiFi Internet (about 60 Mbps down and 10 Mbps up), HD cable TV, Bluetooth connectible radio. As Lindsay, one of our previous guests said in her public and private comments:" “The condo itself was amazing - both warm and welcoming with a cool urban industrial feel. Absolutely love the wood paneling and the sheet metal sliding doors. It also was in a great location for balancing price and accessibility.” “Loved the decor and use of space - while compact it also felt very open and spacious. Love all the sliding doors that really do allow for more space. We both love to cook and you had some fun gadgets. There was a lot of attention to small details and the details were great.”
This neighborhood is only a few minute's walk to Downtown Halifax and the Waterfront. In the building is The Nook a Café/light restaurant. Across the street is Edna, a superb award-winning restaurant, and LF Bakery (Laurent French Bakery)...outstanding croissant, pastry and French breads (Laurent, the owner/baker is from France and knows his baking craft). Bread, pastries and a coffee shop. Croissant. Across the street. Other eating in the neighbourhood: Field Guide Restaurant and Bar, Ratinaud...a French Charcuterie and The 244. All these establishments will have you falling in love with the area. Like to Gamble! The Casino is a 10 minute walk away.
  • You really can't beat this location for proximity to great restaurants and easy walking to points of interest in the city. We parked our car in the provided parking garage and didn't take her out again until we left 4 days later! Andrew was great with communications, suggestions of things going on while we were there, and checking in with us to see if we needed anything. The apartment itself was as we expected from the pictures and description (i.e. modern and well-equipped but on the smaller side; fine for two people). One suggestion for people looking to stay here is to bring some drinking water; the Halifax city water is, unfortunately, not that great tasting. Again, thank you, Andrew, for enabling a great stay! Food Highlights: the Laurent French bakery across the street for croissants and coffee in the morning, the Seven Bays Bouldering cafe down the street for their breakfast burrito, and Edna's for dinner. All within very easy walking distance.

    Dirk2018-04-09T00:00:00Z
  • Accurate description of condo on AirBNB and wonderful court yard. Able to open windows with no worries of noise or security. Homeless shelter across the street never posed a problem for us but could be off putting for others. Great location for walking to downtown area or harbor front. Edna restaurant less than a block away was major bonus!

  • We had a great stay at the coolest loft in Halifax! Everything was as advertised, very clean, quiet, and well appointed. We were able to enjoy downtown Halifax by foot from this location, with nearby food options that were also very good. Local bakery, coffee house, pubs, and brewery, were all top notch. Would book again without hesitation. Thanks for making our stay problem free, and enjoyable!

    Susan2017-09-20T00:00:00Z
  • Very clean place in an up and coming neighborhood with some cool restaurants/shops. Check-in/out was very easy!

    Lauren2018-07-24T00:00:00Z
  • The condo is very stylish and modern, so is the whole building. It's located in the hippest neighbourhood of Halifax with local favourite restaurants like EDNA and Field Guide in the same block. We really enjoyed being able to walk into town, if you are too lazy for uphill walking bus #7 stops in front of the door. The garage was very helpful so was all the information found in the apartment. Would recommend this apartment to everybody who is into interior design and wants a great place with a lot of comfort in North End.

    Sabine2017-08-29T00:00:00Z
  • My partner and I stayed in Andrew's condo for 8 nights in early August. We used it as a base to explore Halifax and Nova Scotia, since we had never been to either. We had a fantastic experience and we can's say enough nice things about the condo itself or about Andrew. Our Friday night flight was delayed and we actually didn't get to the condo till midnight. He met us there anyway and was really acommodating (I would have been grumpy!). Andrew showed us the ropes and gave us the parking info for downstairs, and then let us know we could contact him anytime for anything. He text'd me twice during the week to check in and make sure everything was OK, and again late in the week to confirm exit logistics. So Andrew is a great guy to rent from and work with - 5 stars all the way. The unit itelf is just exactly as it appears. Functioned perfectly for two. Wifi works great and connects easily. Good solid cable connection - not every channel available but good coverage. Kitchen is complete and fully stocked. We had breakfast every day and the occasional lunch when we didn't go out-province. And we bought cooked lobsters from Clearwater's in Bedford coming home from a trip to the Eastern Shore and had a lobster dinner feast one night. It's great to have laundry facilities right in your unit - we packed light and just did a few loads rather than lugging heavy suitcases, and we came home with clean laundry so no dirty clothes when you return. Bed is super comfy. Really nice bathroom with a rain shower head. The neighbors in units close proximity seem to undertand the AirB&B arrangement and all were super nice to us - "are you the AirBnB guys?" - so we never felt out of place. Overall for the price, this unit beats any hotel stay hands-down! One suggestion that we quickly resolved for ourselves after the first night - pick up a pair of ear plugs. The unit faces the street and has no air conditioning. So you need to keep the windows open and fans running or else it's very stuffy. There is a major city bus stop right outside the windows, and it seemed like EMS is close by and ambulance sirens went off very often. There is more noise than we were expecting. You can deal with it in the daytime, but bring a pair of ear plugs for sleeping. It made a huge difference! The Nook coffee house is on the ground floor of the building and we were glad, they have great java and good stuff to go with your coffee. Jane's just down the street has great latte as well and nice high-end takeout food. We ate at EDNA twice, once for brunch and again for a dinner - OUTSTANDING and not to be missed. Overall a great experience - TWO THUMBS UP !!

Welcome to the heart of Halifax! All the great features of our city - the waterfront, the Citadel, the Gardens, Spring Garden Road, Scotiabank Centre, downtown restaurants and pubs, the burgeoning arts and dining scenes on Gottingen and Agricola, are all in easy walking distance. This suite offers walkout entrance, a spacious living room, fireplace, a bedroom with a brand new bed, and bathroom. Hardwood and ceramic flooring throughout. Mini-fridge and coffee machine too!
In one of Halifax's trendiest neighbourhoods, this suite has two big windows and a door that open up into an attractive backyard garden. You're welcome to have a cup of coffee or a glass of wine sitting on the chairs on the stone patio outside.
Our house predates Confederation and so would many of our neighbours'. With classic Halifax box houses painted colourfully, the streets are full of charm. Just a half block down the street is Dee Dees, a bustling eatery where you can get their much loved home made ice-cream, or get this, equally loved burritos! Two minutes away are some of the city's trendiest restaurants, Field Guide and EDNA on Gottingen, and Lion and Bright and The Brasserie on Agricola.
  • Kind and welcoming host, lovely, clean apartment in a convenient and interesting part of town. We highly recommend this Air bnb. Great value!!

We would definitely consider coming back and stay at Mark's downtown suite! J and C.

  • Fred was such a lovely host- he gave us a full tour and was so friendly and helpful. The place itself has everything you need for a cozy night in after travelling or just a night away from your regular life. The bed was comfortable, the kitchen was stocked with a couple of breakfast essentials and the bathroom was sparkling clean. The TV had not only netflix but also cable- not that you’d even need it since everything in downtown Halifax is so close by. I will be staying here again!

    Caroline2018-04-25T00:00:00Z
  • Fred was very welcoming and helpful, made for a great stay!

    Brittney2018-04-24T00:00:00Z
  • Fred’s place is located across the street from a peaceful cove in an area with easy access to many of Halifax’s main attractions. Fred was there to greet us when we arrived, and accompanied us into the apartment we’d be in. The house is undergoing an update, but our unit was cozy and even had a small electric fireplace. Although the unit was a little on the small side, it had everything we needed. Some things are a little quirky, but common for this style and age of house. Fred was most helpful in giving us suggestions for our visit, and would be only a phone call away if we needed anything. We visited the Museum of Natural History, the Maritime Museum (because of the Titanic exhibit), the Farmer’s Market at the wharf, and Fairview Cemetery, where the bodies of some of the recovered Titanic casualties are buried. We also went to Peggy’s Cove, of course! Try the Armview restaurant for breakfast, by the roundabout near Fred’s. Super!!

Welcome to our spacious & bright luxury waterfront suite, situated on the 2nd floor of a gorgeous new condominium development at Kings Wharf. With beautiful & comfortable furnishings, this thoughtfully decorated suite boasts of sunset views of Halifax harbour. With a peaceful atmosphere, it's the perfect place to retreat & recharge.
Two bedroom, two full bathrooms, washer/dryer, AC, underground heated parking, open concept kitchen with island, granite countertops, Bosch stainless steel appliances and culinary staples such as sea salt, pepper, sugar, coffee and tea. Cozy living area with gas fireplace, cable, Wifi and a tasteful selection of books and magazines.
Take in the local downtown Dartmouth shops, pubs and restaurants, or choose either to hop on the 2 minute water taxi service or the ferry (5 minute walk from condo) to Halifax. Tug boats and ferry do begin their day early, so some harbour noises may be heard in the condo if the windows are opened.
  • Beautiful condo! Clean and modern, close to the MacDonald bridge for easy access to downtown Halifax. Nice heated parking spot in the garage although there are 2 parking spots with the same number, be sure not to park in the one designated handicapped. The parking spot is tight so our pick up truck did not fit, good for a car. Luckily there was on street parking available for free during the weekend. Great place to stay and would certainly start again

  • Beautiful two bedroom unit. Easy, short walk to ferry terminal to Halifax. Ferry seemed to run constantly, we never waited more than a minute or two for the 10 minute boat ride. Nearby Italian restaurant was excellent.

  • This building was very secure both for parking and entry, so you always felt very safe. The place was super clean when we arrived. We also loved how roomy and comfortable it was. Check in was very easy and Terra responded to all our questions right away. We would definitely stay here again and recommend this place! Our only tips are it is easiest to back into the parking stall and the blinds within the bedrooms are very light and your sleep could be easily interrupted by early sunrises in the summer months.

    Yvon2018-06-08T00:00:00Z
  • Had a great time staying at Terras beautiful apartment. It was right by the water with a gorgeous view of the skyline. Close to everything and a perfect place for our first trip with our 8 month old son.

  • This is truly a great place to unwind and you will say to yourself over and over again how great it is compared to a hotel! Great views, great decor, comfy beds, modern, makes me look forward to getting back to Halifax (Website hidden by Airbnb) Terra is great host, and was quick to respond to any questions If you are renting a car, be sure to make it a compact car as it is perfect for the parking spot, but anything bigger could be tight Thanks again Terra! • Wendy's place was well-maintained and spacious, ideal for a couple to get away. Easy drive to Halifax but the area is secluded and very peaceful. We saw bunnies and a pheasant! We also paid the small extra charge to have a bonfire outside-everything was provided. Great for making s'mores and relaxing!

  • The suite was heaven on Earth. Not only were the accommodations spacious, clean and simply stunning, but Wendy gave me a warm welcome as soon as I arrived that made me feel right at home. Wendy and Jim definitely go above and beyond what is expected - so many considerate "extra touches" in the suite. The location is also gorgeous, such a relaxing and quiet spot. Definitely recommend, not a spot to miss out on!

    Karli2016-08-04T00:00:00Z
  • This place was beautiful and very clean. Wendy was very friendly and welcoming and she thought of everything! The attention to detail was fantastic. We had lots of privacy and enjoyed a relaxing night in as it was raining. We wished we would have stayed longer as we would have loved to enjoy the outside space as well.

  • I had such a great time at Ben’s place. The location was absolutely breathtaking. Steps away from the beach. It was my favourite stay in Nova Scotia. Would definitely stay there again.

    Erika2018-06-18T00:00:00Z
  • An absolute gem. Ben's space was the perfect beach retreat. Well appointed and stylish, we would love to stay here again.

    David2017-08-09T00:00:00Z
  • I enjoyed the decor of the studio, and the privacy. The waves are very big, so even though it’s not right on the water, you can hear them well!

    Noella2018-07-24T00:00:00Z
  • Ben's place is nicely decorated, has the essentials and then some, and is very clean. It is nice and bright and you can see the ocean from the window. The beach is a short walk away and it was relaxing and quiet while I stayed.

    Julie2018-06-14T00:00:00Z
  • Fantastic stay! Studio was clean, comfortable and inviting. Host was great, friendly. Close to beach and trail. Wonderful experience, we'd love to stay again!

  • Such a great location, quite literally on the beach. It’s the perfect little spot to stay if you’re looking for a quiet weekend on the beach surfing, hiking, or just getting away!

    Lauren2018-06-03T00:00:00Z
  • Ben’s place is super cute and within walking distance to the beach - you can open the patio door and it’s awesome hearing the waves in the morning! Ben was easy to communicate with would definitely stay there again.

  • Ben's seaside studio is a perfect east coast Nova Scotian experience. Lawrencetown Beach is amazing but Ben's hospitality, thoughtful touches and communication make it even more special! Thx, Ben!

  • Very clean in a great location

    John2018-07-01T00:00:00Z
  • What a wonderful find! Great location, wonderful accommodations, and it was a pleasure dealing with my host, Nip. His responses were immediate and his has a wonderful sense humor. This will definitely be my first choice of places to stay on future trips to the Dartmouth/Halifax area!

    Donna2018-07-19T00:00:00Z
  • It was a great stay! Close to downtown and was very clean and trendy!

    Faith2018-07-05T00:00:00Z
  • Nip was very helpful with our stay. On booking I was not aware that he also stays in the condo however he was rarely around! Great access to Halifax harbour ferry. Overall we enjoyed our stay.

    Donna2018-07-24T00:00:00Z
  • Great location and breathtaking views. Grocery stores are close (e.g. Sobeys and no frills). All major banks and nice restaurants + bars are within a 2-5 minute walk.  Nip was particular on not staining the furniture, countertops, and cabinets. Cleanliness is a high priority it seems Overall, good experience would stay here again :)

    Starr2018-05-13T00:00:00Z
  • Clean apartment. Close to the ferry across to downtown Halifax - an enjoyable 12 minute crossing that leaves every 15 mins

    Casey2018-06-15T00:00:00Z
  • Second time staying at Nip’s place. The property is truly amazing! LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION! Clearly, I chose to stay here because of the location. I have arthritis in my hip, so I can’t walk for long, but the condo is so close that it was a short walk to the ferry and a short walk to my conference in downtown Halifax. Highly recommended the listing because of the prime location, and spectacular views

    Neeraj2018-05-09T00:00:00Z
  • Nip’s place was like staying at a hotel. I really enjoyed having a peaceful water view from my room and a full en-suite bathroom giving me full privacy! The place was very clean. I didn’t use the kitchen or connect to the TV, but did get to admire the view of the harbour and the marina from the dining table. I would recommend this location to anyone visiting the Halifax waterfront or downtown area

Cool flat in unique 120 year old house. Close to downtown & hip North End. 2 min walk to grocery, liquor store, restaurants. 2 bedrooms (real beds: queen & double), pullout couch & full kitchen. Comfortably accommodates 4, less-comfortably accommodates 6! Extras: local cell phone, Netflix, android tablet, fast WIFI & Bluetooth speaker for use by guests QEII Hospital: 15 min walk Downtown/Waterfront: 30 min walk My spaces are LGBTQ+ friendly & anti-racist. House is not wheelchair accessible.
The apartment fits 4 people comfortably with two bedrooms featuring one double and one queen size bed. We can fit up to 6 people including the futon in the living room. One bedroom is larger and one is smaller. There is a small but cozy living room, separate dining room and a private deck. Kitchen is fully outfitted for meals at home, all you need are the groceries. The bathroom has a clawfoot tub. Towels, blowdryer, shampoo/soap, etc. are available as well! It's a neat old eccentric apartment! I love it. Some things people haven't loved are: The floors are not in the best shape, they are fine but have definitely seen better days aesthetically. Some of the walls are slope-y (it's a third floor apartment, built out from the attic). Taller folks may have to slouch in the shower. The apartment can be happily used to have a few friends over while you're visiting the city. We love the location because it easy access to downtown and major attractions but still in a quiet neighbourhood on a gated street. On major bus routes and its a 5 minute cab to downtown and we have parking (parking limited in winter months). Some people think that is close to downtown and some people find it far. All depends on your perspective. All we can say is that by Halifax standards it's extremely central and a very easy walk downtown. QEII Hospital: 15 min walk Spring Garden Rd (downtown): 23 min walk Waterfront: 32 min walk
The flat is a 2 minute walk to necessities such as groceries, wine/beer store, pharmacy, gas station and all main public transit stops. Yukon Street is located two streets parallel to Quinpool Road, home to some diverse and affordable restaurants, pubs and diners (Greek, Mediterranean, Korean, Chinese, Sushi, etc.) The Halifax Commons, including basketball, tennis courts, baseball fields and skate park) are a few blocks away from the space - about a 12 minute walk. There is also a public swimming pool and kids park including a fun water feature for the young ones. If you want to explore the Downtown core or the artsy and hip North End, they are only a 20 minute walk or 5 minute drive away.
  • Great apartment for a handful of people. Good location! One of my friends had a difficult time with the shower because he is tall, but other than that, this place is a great find!

    Molly2018-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • A great place that is centrally located to all that Halifax has to offer.

    Andy2018-04-01T00:00:00Z
  • Visited Halifax for a weekend away with three other girlfriends. We arrived late and had no difficulty locating the place. Convenient location and everything was within walking distance.

    Danielle2016-04-18T00:00:00Z
  • Georgia was in touch with us by text at the airport and waiting at the door for us when we arrived. The apartment was a delight. Very nice back porch with perfect orientation to the sun so it never got that hot. My son liked the selections on the television. The street is nice and shady and quiet, with easy access to shops and everything we wanted to do. If I return to Halifax, I'll attempt to stay here again.

    John2015-08-03T00:00:00Z
  • Georgia and Lee-Anne provided a comfortable, convenient, clean and accessible stay. The apartment came exactly as described with all the necessities for a wonderful stay. They have thought out every detail of your stay, providing easy to follow instructions, maps, snacks, extra keys and everything else. Thank you both so much for having Rose and I. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and hope to be back soon!

    Ian2016-09-06T00:00:00Z
  • I really enjoyed my stay at Lee Anne and Georgia's place. I know and like the North end of Halifax, so it was a good location for me...if you are a first time visitor and wish to take in the harbour and the tourist areas it is still fine..you can have a nice walk across the Commons and up Citadel Hill! (Or take a city bus). The apartment was very clean and comfortable ...I had a great sleep when I was there all three nights. I have stayed in a few airbnbs, but this one is near the top of the list for being well stocked...lots of cooking pots, great coffee maker, hair dryer, iron and ironing board, clean linens and lots of towels...and bonus, a housecoat! The hosts were friendly and accommodating and stayed in touch via texting. I would go back there again. Thank you.

    Diana2015-11-06T00:00:00Z
  • Georgie's place was an A+ airbnb experience. It felt warm and welcoming, was clean and nice, and Georgie was a great host. Super easy to check in and out. Would highly recommend for people visiting the city for 1 night or many.

Sweet Victorian flat full of charm and character in the heart of Halifax!
Hardwood floors, high ceilings and Victorian mouldings. It's an old beauty and with a few quirks but that is all part of the charm. We love old and beautiful things, bright and colourful things, plants, books and light! Such is our space.
You're going to love this neighbourhood. 17 minute walk and you are in downtown Halifax shopping and strolling. The Halifax Commons is really just out the door. It's a great open green space for sports, reading in the grass or roller skating on the commons. Grocery store 5 minute walk, coffee shops abound, hip bars and burger joints down the street!
  • Christopher and Lauren have a very quirky home, which we were really pleased to have found and had the opportunity to stay. They made us feel very welcome and were efficient with communication throughout. Their place is in a great location within walking distance to local restaurants. Walking into town was a little further (30minutes or so) and busses available. We booked an extra night later on our holiday so had two great stays. Unfortunately we did not get to meet them but would stay again in an instance if within the area. Thank you both.

  • Really comfy, spacious flat in an ideal location. Located within walking distance of downtown, and great cafes, bars, restaurants. The hosts were extremely thoughtful and provided great suggestions of places to go. I would highly recommend this Airbnb.

    Justin2018-04-26T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing place, close to everything you need to see in Halifax. The interior has a great character and is filled with colors and textiles that gives this place a real unicity. The hosts are a really nice couple, they live upstairs with their cute little dog and are always there to answers your questions/requests. The place is calm and well-kept, clean and welcoming. I recommend it!

    Florence2017-08-15T00:00:00Z
  • Such a charming place in an awesome location! The Victorian styling of the apartment is gorgeous and the decor and accommodations were nice and cozy. The tub was an interesting little adventure - don't let it deter you from booking! The location cant be beat - easy walk to Quinpool, Citadel, downtown and waterfront. Perfect home base to explore the city. Thanks!

  • The apartment is in a great location, close to the waterfront and good restaurants. While the unit had no issues and was very clean the building itself was old and smelt of cigarette smoke which can be unpleasant for those who are sensitive to it. Paul was a great host, quick to communicate and overall our stay was good value.

    Jon2018-06-26T00:00:00Z
  • Paul communicated well and checking in was easy. The apartment was large and clean. We appreciated the air conditioner when it was hot during the day. The walk down to restaurants was short and really convenient. Great apartment, would recommend!

    Liz2017-06-27T00:00:00Z
  • The location is absolutely perfect for visiting Halifax. We walked to everything. The building has a lot of charm, and the remodel of the apartment is lovely. We had everything we needed. Thank you!

  • Nice heritage building downtown. No complaints from this traveler. Would recommend for sure.

    Matt2018-07-12T00:00:00Z
  • Had a wonderful time staying here, the bed was really comfortable and everything we needed was provided. The no air conditioning I thought might be a problem since it was really hot during the day but it cools down at night that it ended up being okay! Really close to everything we needed, grocery store right across the street and only a 5-10 minute walk from most of the restaurants and heart of downtown! Would definitely recommend and stay here again.

    Emily2016-07-19T00:00:00Z

  • Terrific space with lots of history in a dynamite neighbourhood. Steps away from the Henry House (literally), the Waterfront and Public Library.

    Paul2018-04-29T00:00:00Z
  • Enjoyed every bit of my stay and would highly recommend staying here. The apt is located right at the start of the Barrington Historic District and a block from the Halifax Farmer's Market and waterfront/boardwalk. Adjacent is all the you need: Henry House for a quick bite/drink, Bearly's for live music, and Uncommin Ground for a cup of coffee. Also across the street is the bus stop to get to the airport for $3.50CAD. After all day of walking the boardwalk, through downtown and up Citadel Hill, it was so nice to come to a comfy bed and clean sheets. The apt is fully suited with a kitchen so you could enjoy wine at home and a home-cooked meal... but why when you have the Bicycle Thief (a nearby restaurant) at your footsteps?! The host was very accommodating and made it so easy for a relaxing trip. Thanks for a great visit!

Extras: local cell phone, heated mattress pad, fast WIFI, Bluetooth speaker & android tablet in the suite for use. QEII Hospital: 15 min walk Downtown: 30 min walk My spaces are LGBTQ+ friendly and anti-racist. Flat is not wheelchair accessible - 5 stairs up to the unit.
This is the living room of our flat that I've blocked off from the rest of the apartment (walled off and locking doors) and converted into a private guest suite. There is a king size bed. It's locked off from the rest of my flat. There is no shared access to a kitchen or living space in our apartment. You have your own entrance to the room, a private en suite bathroom (sink, toilet, and shower), as well as a mini fridge, microwave, kettle, and coffee maker. The door to the rest of our flat closes and locks. So it's very private. It's set up like a hotel. It is a small space, for at most 2 people. But it’s cozy and has everything you need. The shower is a stand up shower and isn't really large. I love this location because it's easy access to downtown and major attractions but still in a quiet neighbourhood on a gated street. On major bus routes and it's a 5 minute cab (or 35 min walk) to downtown. Some people think that is close to downtown and some people find it far. All depends on your perspective. The Quinpool District of Halifax is our personal favourite because it's close to all of the fun but far enough to get a quiet sleep. The flat is a 2 minute walk to necessities such as groceries, wine/beer store, pharmacy, gas station and all main public transit stops. Yukon Street is located two streets parallel to Quinpool Road, home to some of Halifax's most diverse and affordable restaurants, pubs and diners (Greek, Mediterranean, Korean, Chinese, Sushi, etc.) Everything you could possibly want is a five minute walk from the flat. Some people think we are close to downtown and some people find it far. All depends on your perspective. All we can say is that by Halifax standards it's extremely central and a very easy walk downtown. The Halifax Commons, including basketball, tennis courts, baseball fields and skate park) are a few blocks away from the space - about a 12 minute walk. There is also a public swimming pool and kids park including a fun water feature for the young ones. If you want to explore the Downtown core or the artsy and hip North End, they are only a 30 minute walk or 5 minute drive away.
  • Exactly as described with thoughtful touches for travellers. Perfect location for my travel. Everything was well set out and labelled with great communication. Will definitely stay there again

    Judy2017-11-08T00:00:00Z
  • I had a really lovely stay in Georgia and Lee-Anne's room! They were very helpful and clear in correspondence before my arrival. The room felt very private and comfortable, beautifully furnished. They included a lot of small touches to make it feel welcoming. It's a great location, very quiet but close to a supermarket and about a half hour walk from downtown/waterfront. I couldn't've asked for more, and wish I could've stayed longer!

    Ian2016-02-03T00:00:00Z
  • I did not get to meet the hosts but there was no problem with communicating. The flat is in the quiet residential area. The room is nicely set with a variety of breakfast and snack items. The building itself is quite old so it has a bit of distinctive smell when you enter the room. The sofa bed was a bit springy and noisy. Apple TV was set but there was no manual to use.. Nor wifi password.

    Leewon2016-05-25T00:00:00Z
  • Great place! No complaints

    Hamzah2016-02-06T00:00:00Z
  • Georgia and Lee-Anne are very hospitable and accommodating hosts. They made an exception to let me in early as my flight had arrived before the usual check-in time. They also helped me figure out the parking situation for my car. And they were very quick to answer any questions I had. The apartment had separate entrance, was furnished and had all the things you need. Neighbourhood was safe. And the location was very central. Less than 10 mins drive to most major things downtown. It's not surprising why this Air BnB listing is quite popular!

    Karan2016-01-26T00:00:00Z
  • Place was very nice . Lots of little extras, snacks, coffee , tea, sweets, etc. Very clean and the bed was very comfortable . A little far from the harbour front , but a great walk by the Citidal , Public Gardens and an Old Cemetery . It's about an 8 dollar cab ride to Harbour Front.

    Wayne2016-07-06T00:00:00Z
  • The place had everything we needed. Georgie and Lee-Anne were easily reachable for any questions we had. We really enjoyed our stay here!

  • Lovely place, highly recommend. The host has two dogs that howl occasionally and it’s absolutely adorable! We loved it here! It was clean and very close to downtown, lots of bus routes and restaurants close by. Only complaint is that it was a bit cold but there’s a space heater and bed warmers.

  • Exactly as described, an urban Cottage. We had a great time in Halifax. The location is great if you have a car. It's a 15 minutes to the waterfront and main attractions. Getting to Peggy's Cove or Hubbards beaches was easy. The cottage is located on a busy street but you don't hear the traffic from the house. You just have to be a bit patient when getting out of the parking. Catherine made us feel right at home with chocolate squares and many extras we used when cooking diner (I think there's as many spices as I have at home).

  • Very nice place

    Dov2012-12-11T00:00:00Z
  • Catherine's place is perfect! Very close to shopping by car and a comfortable place to hang your hat! The washer and dryer are great for stays longer then a few days and the place was very neat and tidy!

  • A wonderful little home on the edge of the city in a nice neighbourhood. Walking trails nearby. All the essentials included.

    Walt2012-10-27T00:00:00Z
  • I visited Halifax with my boyfriend for a few days at the end of summer and we were looking for cheap alternatives to hosteling. We decided to try Airbnb for the first time and chose Catherine because of the proximity of her location to the city and the fact that we would get the whole place to ourselves. When we arrived at the property, the place was spotless and there were flowers on the kitchen table with a welcome letter and resources on Halifax transportation and attractions. There was also lots of food in the fridge, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, towels, you name it, it was there. The properly was exactly as advertised and located in a nice, quiet neighbourhood that was about 10 minutes to Halifax by car and 45 minutes by bus. Catherine was also nice enough to drop by the next day to say hello and make sure things were okay. All in all, the place was an absolute steal at the listed price and provided us with much comfort during our hectic travel days. I would definitely stay at this place again and recommend it to anyone who's heading to the area. Thank you Catherine, for an amazing couple of days!

  • We stayed there for 2 nights. This is the perfect location for any trip to Halifax. Catherine has a wonderful house, it was perfect for our family of 3. Downtown Halifax is really close and the shopping centres are 5 minutes away by car. We will come back.

  • We really enjoyed our stay at the Urban Cottage. It is a nicely laid-out property, beautifully and very tastefully furnished and decorated, and fully equipped with everything we needed for our stay. It was well stocked with all necessities, and the internet connection is fast and reliable. There is an excellent bus service into Halifax if you don't want to drive. We stayed a week for a family holiday, which we thoroughly enjoyed. My daughter stayed on for another 5 weeks while job-hunting, and found the Urban Cottage a comfortable and relaxing place for a long stay. Communication with Catherine was great. She responded to emails within minutes, and quickly sorted out any problems. Highly recommended.

  • My 9 years old son and I had a wonderful stay at Catherine's Urban Cottage. My son lives in Halifax and I traveled from Brazil to spend some time with him. In the past we used to stay at Best Western Chocolate Lake (a very good hotel), but this time I wanted to provide a more cozy and familiar environment for my son. The experience at Catherine's place met all my expectations. The house is charming, well equipped and clean. I felt I was living in Canada!

  • We were very comfortable and could not ask for more as everything we needed was available. The place had pillows, blankets, slippers, utensils, towels, toiletries. They even had a small basket full of simple things that travellers usually forget to bring. We would definitely choose this place again if we were to spend another night in Nova Scotia. :)

  • Amazing host and excellent place to stay. Nancy's father, a Newfoundlander guy, is very kindness person and very active. After a snow storm, he cleaned the path of the house and some house on the neighborhood. I 100% recommend Nancy´s place.

  • Everything absolutely perfect. Good location, extremely clean, very beautiful and very well equipped appartement. Very kind and available host. The "plus" is in my opinion the excellent decoration and a fast 35Mbps WiFi. You need only 5 minutes to transform this unknown appartement in your home, and I like it. For sure I will come back here for my next business trips in Dartmouth.

Beautifully appointed, architecturally designed 1 bedroom loft studio apartment within a historical gem in the new up and coming area of the Northend of Halifax. • We had a wonderful stay in Halifax, and this was a great location for our home base. The apartment was clean and comfortable with all we needed to cook and plenty of local information. The artwork in the place is lovely. It's nice that there were extra towels, blanket options (ok, it was quite warm so we didn't need that, but I noticed it was there on the shelf), plenty of kitchenware. We arrived late so didn't meet Minette or Andrew at check-in, but it was easy to reach them if we'd needed. The communication before we arrived provided us with all of the details and once there, we didn't need a thing. The neighborhood has wonderful restaurants, a coffee shop right next door, and we loved that it was 2 blocks from a small dog park where our dogs got to meet the furry locals. It all felt very welcoming. In the evening we sat in the courtyard and found the neighbors to be really friendly, too. We met Andrew as we checked out and enjoyed talking with him. Great guy, great place, we'd definitely stay here again!

  • I was in Halifax for four nights for personal travel. The loft was as described and pictured—modern, spacious, reliable Internet, lots of natural light, blockout shades, full kitchen with kitchenware, washer and dryer. The loft is in a very walkable neighborhood near restaurants, cafes, the waterfront, other attractions, and many bus lines. I had flown in on a red-eye, and Andrew was able to accommodate an earlier check-in, which was much appreciated. Andrew also provided recommendations of places to visit and many Halifax and Nova Scotia travel guides/brochures. Great location and nice space with lots of amenities for a longer stay—would recommend!

    Cassandra2017-05-19T00:00:00Z
  • We loved our stay at Glubes Loft. The location was excellent with great restaurants and cafes on the block. It was just a quick 5min drive to downtown and the harbour front which was so convenient. The loft was cozy, clean and modern and communication with Minette was very easy. I would definitely stay here again on my next Halifax vacation.

Incredible character! This amazing 1-bedroom flat is in a restored 1896 Victorian historic house with hardwood floors, 9-foot ceilings and wooden accents throughout. It is gorgeous! The full private kitchen has a view of the adjacent park. It is perfectly located, literally on Dalhousie University campus, just a few blocks away from the heart of downtown and the hospitals. Additionally there are 3 independent units in this house. See the detailed description (below) for their AirBnB links.
Live in a historic house from 1896 with original hardwood floors, 9-feet ceilings, antique stained glass windows, and shellacked wooden stairs, doors and accents. A true Victorian atmosphere! The flat has a full kitchen with a table, and a separate room with a gorgeous ornamental fireplace with the bathroom. The house has 4 independent units. All units share a common foyer entrance, but each unit has its own bathroom(s) and kitchen. There is a shared living area in the foyer area on the second floor.
  • Good location, nice and tidy, tons of space. Great to have a parking spot and kitchen.

    Kirsty2017-04-29T00:00:00Z
  • The flat is located in an incredibly cozy neighbourhood just around the corner from many University of Dal buildings. It was accessible from almost any part of downtown Halifax we wanted to visit and was able to walk to the recently gentrified and hip North End all the way to the downtown core by the water. Most credit goes to Cinthia for setting up a fairly independent and homey flat that is very easy to live and feel comfortable at.

    Raad2017-01-30T00:00:00Z
  • We did not actually meet Cinthia but we had an excellent stay nonetheless. The location is perfect for anyone affiliated Dalhousie or Kings Universities

    Sylvia2016-08-22T00:00:00Z
  • This location is perfect for the campus, getting to waterfront, a drive south to SuperCentre for groceries. Spacious utility kitchen. Small shower yet good for us for 2 nights.

    Anne2018-07-12T00:00:00Z
  • This is a lovely old home in a great location. We parked our car (free parking provided in the back of the house) and walked everywhere. Comfortable bed, clean, and a fully equipped kitchen. We were in unit 2, which has a beautiful view of the park. Wifi was fast and reliable. Tiny bathroom (a very large person would have trouble). Be aware that the walls are thin, so we could hear the people in the units next door and directly above us. Overall though, a very good option.

  • Susan is a wonderful host and an absolute joy of a person. We had a wonderful time staying in Susan's charming home. Our particular favorite was digging for clams just down the road from Susan's home. We gathered enough clams for a feast that Susan prepared. Great seafood, great wine, and lots of laughs. Susan made my girlfriend and I feel so welcome in her home. We wish we could have stayed longer. Staying with Susan was definitely a highlight of our two week road trip through Canada.

    Nicholas2014-07-16T00:00:00Z
  • We spent some great days at Susan's place! As I was travelling alone with my 13-month-year-old son, Susan was so kind to give us a lift from and to Halifax - thank you again Susan - otherwise we won't have been able to spend those wonderful days next to the ocean. My son enjoyed so much playing in the sand - there is a beautiful beach suited for children just a 15 minutes walk from Susan's home. Susan is an inspiring compagny - she has so much life experience and so much to tell and to share. We enjoyed very much staying with her and her family, as at the same time with us her grandchildren were visiting her. Moreover, we were invited for a barbecue and got a lift to discover a wonderful beach nearby! Overall, a great place and a great host - which made it possible for us to gather some fresh energy for our last month in Canada!

    Annette2015-06-29T00:00:00Z
  • Many things made this stay very enjoyable: The bed is very comfortable The room is spacious There is a very comfy easy chair A spacious desk for doing work and cheking email Ample closet space as well as a good size antique dresser Internet service is very good, especially for a rural area Cable TV in the room (small TV, but plenty acceptable for watching the odd times) The kitchen is well equipped and I loved the gas stove The location is fantastic: the ocean is 200m walk away! The surroundings are spectacular with lots of walking options Susan is a very interesting person who has lived an extraordinary life.

    Phil2017-06-18T00:00:00Z
  • I had a delightful stay at Susan's. The guess room upstairs is comfortable and intimate. The rest of the house is pretty nice too. I was even offered to upgrade to the studio behind the house but felt great enough! The area is what a city person would call "remote", but it is exactly why it is so charming and relaxing. If you are a surfer hunting for waves, it is a perfect spot to put down your bags for a couple of days. Only 10 minutes from Lawrencetown beach by car and not so far from Martinique beach. Let's also say that Susan really is an amazing story teller and a very charming soul.

    Chloée2015-07-05T00:00:00Z
  • Susan was extremely helpful with day trip suggestions !

    Gail2015-06-23T00:00:00Z
  • Susan made me feel right at home, I enjoyed the time spent talking with her and another guest. The accommodations were what I expected for such a beautiful but remote location.

    George2016-10-06T00:00:00Z
  • I found Susan cheerful and accommodating. We particularly liked the studio on the water and because of health issues we had to cut our stay short and didn't stay at the main house bedroom although we had access to the kitchen and bathroom/shower. A quiet place if you like nature and marines shore birds etc.

    Brian2014-07-01T00:00:00Z
  • Susan is wonderful! Her and her family welcomed me with open arms and before I left I felt like part of the family ;) I absolutely think her place is a must see, must stay; It is right on the ocean, there is a beautiful garden on the property and the coziest little places throughout the house to grab a book or magazine and relax. It was very close to Lawerencetown beach and a little fishermans wharf where I spent almost every evening capturing the sunset and shooting the clear stars- this place is a photographers heaven! Thank you for everything! I will certainly be back.

Heart of the city in a great quite historic neighborhood, this location will not disappoint! Great for shopping, restaurants, nightlife and waterfront all in walking distance. Ideal for couples, families, solo adventurers, and business travelers. Newly renovated with all modern amenities. This upper level apartment is bright and spotlessly clean.
Top floor two bedroom very bright apartment in quiet professional building. Just completely renovated. There is an office work area and a private sunny back patio. One bedroom has a king size bed and the other bedroom has a queen size. Hardwood floors throughout. Included is a Washer/Dryer (with unscented laundry soap), Dishwasher, Blow Dryer, Coffee Maker, Toaster and a good selection of cooking utensils, Flatscreen TV with Netflix and cable.

  • Great location, the house was much bigger than expected so we had lots of space. It was really clean, and Steve was great at communicating with us and gave us clear instructions on how to find the house. Having parking facilities was great and the home was really cosy! I would highly recommend and will rebook in the future

    Claire2017-10-12T00:00:00Z
  • The apartment is in a great part of town with easy walking access to all of the Halifax downtown sites. Very clean and well kept.

    Heather2018-05-05T00:00:00Z
  • Everything was perfect. Definitely recommend this place and would gladly stay here again.

    Slavica2017-08-28T00:00:00Z
  • This was a beautiful place! Immaculately clean, modern decor , perfect proximity to downtown attractions and the waterfront. Two spacious bedrooms and we so appreciated a king size bed in one of the bedrooms. Kitchen well equipped. Quaint little deck off the back. A bathtub and shower. Exceptional communication from host and convenient keyless access. Would highly recommend this property. 100% satisfied.

    Jennifer2017-09-12T00:00:00Z
  • Another great stay. Great location with parking, super comfy beds, easy self check in, and all the comforts of home. We’ll be back again!

    Terrie2018-04-06T00:00:00Z
  • This 2 bed AirBnB was even better than the photos. Location was exceptional - super quiet on a beautiful street but also very close to great restaurants and shopping on Spring Garden. Flat was well equipped and had lots of nice little touches. Would totally book again when back in Halifax. Communication with Steve was also really good. Thanks!

    Michael2017-07-20T00:00:00Z
  • Steve's place was wonderful and he was extremely accommodating to our situation. The location is great and very close to down town, also close to the hospital (which was what we needed). I would highly recommend this place over any hotel close by, especially if you are looking for comfort and privacy.

  • The apartment was beautiful and the resident cat was friendly. The hosts were also very eager to accommodate which was nice. Good location, would recommend.

    James2016-12-04T00:00:00Z
  • Great and quite place. Excellent location. We found the house very CLEAN and Lannea was very helpful. She was also super friendly. I really suggest to everyone to chose her place if you are coming to Halifax! Thanks so much for the great stay P.s.: her cats is amazing! :)

    Roberto2017-04-01T00:00:00Z
  • This was a clean and nice place to stay if you can drive to the places you want to see in Halifax. It is a shared space--shared bathroom was fine but it was not clear if or how much we could use the kitchen.

    Cynthia2017-06-21T00:00:00Z
  • We loved our stay in Lannea's spotlessly clean, homely, beautiful apartment. It's located about a 15-20 minute walk from the downtown area, but we loved the "north end" with lots of interesting cafes, shops and some great local craft beers! Lannea met us on arrival and was so friendly and accommodating. On hearing about our long walk from the station, she offered to take us in her car to a local restaurant, "En Vie" served up brilliant vegan cuisine! Lannea offers you complete privacy in her home whilst being available to help with any questions. We loved meeting her and her lovely cat Miley and if ever we're in Halifax again we'll be back! Xxx

The place is close to the city center, parks, art and culture, Dalhousie. You’ll love it because of the location, convenience, hassle free. Its a bright full of windows attic within historic house (1921). It has a living room, mini office area and bathroom (with walk-in closet) Its an attic so the roof is diagonal... The attic is good for couples, solo adventurers, and business travelers, parents that come to visit the students! Its a students researchers house!
The access is through the main house downstairs for this in-law suite..., where you will have your own private bathroom***, living room, office area, walk-in closet, etc. The entrance thru the stairs lead you to the living area and office area at the end... Big bright windows all around, the a small table leaving to the bed area with more big windows and the bathroom at the end. The entire floor is yours to use and not to share! **Note: bathroom is separated from the main room with a curtain, not a door.
The house is perfectly located in a beautiful and quiet residential neighbourhood, yet steps away from Dalhousie University, coffee shops, restaurants, grocery store and downtown Halifax.
  • Fun, funky attic. Spartan but I was fine with the aesthetics. There's a few low ceilings, so a tall person may find the space less comfortable. And my one recommendation to the owner is that an investment in a new mattress would really improve the experience.

    Phil2018-06-11T00:00:00Z
  • This was a cosy loft space in a fabulous location for anyone visiting Dalhousie or King's Universities, as we were. It was also very easy to get downtown to everything Halifax has to offer. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Thanks, Cinthia.

    David2018-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • Cinthia's pent house was very clean and affordable, exactly what we needed for a short stay in Halifax. Check in and out was very easy. Location is great and working walking distance of downtown. Had an excellent stay!

    Alexandra2017-06-17T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay at Cinthia's was quite nice. The attic apartment is comfortable and very spacious. While spartan, the bathroom has everything we needed, and the provided coffee/tea is a nice touch. I never actually met Cinthia in person, but she was helpful and responsive via the messaging system. 1625 Henry House is an easy walk to downtown, around 25 minutes or so.

    Elan2017-08-02T00:00:00Z
  • There wasn't much contact with Cinthia for the duration of our stay. The place is very close to downtown Halifax which was great for us. However be aware that the fridge present is a minifridge with no freezer present. As well the kitchenette is very small (just a counter) with no sink. Overall, the place is poorly decorated and looks "thrown together". But it was a bed to sleep so couldn't complain there. As well parking on Monday nights can be tricky because of street cleaning. The other inhabitants of the house were nice enough to tell us where to park for free.

    Jesse2017-06-30T00:00:00Z
  • As advertised, very clean airbnb in the heart of halifax. The central location makes it easy to walk throughout the city. Our host was easy to communicate with and very friendly. Thanks for the great stay!

    Claudia2018-06-20T00:00:00Z
  • Cinthia's Penthouse suite is a great place to stay for a weekend in the City. The check-in/out process is straight forward and effortless.

    Chris2018-03-04T00:00:00Z
  • The penthouse is within easy walking distance to Dalhousie, shopping, and restaurants. The house is very quiet, even on the weekends. I particularly appreciated the coffee maker and all the windows. Everything is exactly as pictured. I can't imagine better value for the money!

Incredible character! This studio is in a 1896 Victorian historic house with hardwood floors, 9-foot ceilings and shellacked wooden accents through out the place.
  • The Host and the home are well organized in many ways, but were lacking in the most important area; peace, quiet and safety/security. The home is as-listed. The house and rooms are very clean and well organized. The problem here is lack of response to fighting/noise/disturbances which ruined my stay. The fighting in another guest room began after 1 AM. The first fight was loud and upsetting. I was awoken from a sound sleep. The fighting, banging and noise continued, unchecked for several minutes. I tried to contact the Host using the methods they had used to contact me throughout the booking (texting and email). There was no answer to my messages. The second fight broke out 15-20 minutes later and lasted for about as long. 15 minutes of swearing, slamming, angry hollering.. up and down hallways and in and out of guest rooms. There was no apparent response by the Host. My sleep was ruined. The situation was alarming and irritating. In a Hotel, I would have called security/front desk. In this situation, I was left alone, texting the contact number provided. I eventually located an unmarked binder in the room with a phone number listing on the back page. By this time, the damage was already done. The drunk guests were passed out. I was wide awake and the long, ongoing fight appeared to be over. When I expressed my frustration (by email) to the host, about the ongoing noise and fighting, she acted surprised. She claimed she was aware of the "first" incident, but was unaware of the next, louder, more serious and lengthy altercation. The Host's reaction was unacceptable. The lack of response to the ongoing noise and fighting was unacceptable. The expectation of peaceful enjoyment, basic safety, security, rest, etc.. is implicit in the accommodation agreement. There should be a protocol in place to quickly respond to such situations. I've stayed in many, many different kinds of accommodations, all over the world (hostels, guest rooms, hotels, motels, and resorts, etc..) and I have NEVER, not once, experienced this. I wouldn't stay at this house again if you paid me. When the Host expressed her surprise and shock at my email report of this incident, she did not apologize or offer ANY consideration whatsoever. I replied by offering some suggestions (clearly marked direct phone line/contact, in case of future problems). I also suggested that she avoid excuses, as they make the situation worse. She did eventually apologize for the situation, which I appreciate. But there needs to be improved management/security response in future, for the sake of any sane and sober guests that might arrive here. Good luck!!!

    Todd 2016-11-30T00:00:00Z
  • Very comfortable, private space on Dalhousie Campus. Having access to a mini-fridge and microwave was a big plus. Some noise at night from the street and from other guests, but it didn't affect my sleep. Would stay again.

    Ben2017-02-01T00:00:00Z
  • Right in the middle of everything but away from the noise of it all. Perfect if you're looking for a room to just sleep in. Be aware though that the bathroom is tiny so if you're a bigger person, this might be an issue.

  • great location and great set up! it was like staying in your own little hotel room, with an ensure bath and a small kitchenette. we had a wonderful experience staying here, and would gladly stay again.

    Ryan2016-07-14T00:00:00Z
  • We had a very nice time at Cinthia's place. It is ideally located just a minute's walk to Dalhousie Campus, so would be perfect for family/friends of Dalhousie students, conference attendees, or others with university business. It is very close (easy walking distance) to the downtown core as well. Cinthia was very prompt, friendly and helpful in her communication, and generously accommodated us leaving our luggage a couple of hours past the check-out time. It was very handy to have the kitchenette area. The studio was spotlessly clean. Highly recommended!
