Genêts is a quaint little village typical of the area with it's old stone houses that date back many hundreds of years. It's peaceful and situated in the bay with fantastic views on the Mont Saint-Michel and Tombelaine, a bird reserve. It's very picturesque and there are plenty of walks around. The salt marshes ("les grèves") are home to many species of bird and of course the famous sheep of the Bay of Mont Saint Michel ("moutons de pré-salé"). We are lucky to have some very good restaurants in the village : - "La Pause des Genêts" run by a fun couple offers original and delicious dishes in a cosy setting. - "Le Petit Navire" run by a lovely couple serves excellent traditional local meals. - "Chez François" cooks his local meat in the chimney in front of you in a traditional yet slightly atypical ambiance. - We can also recommend other good restaurants nearby so don't hesitate to ask us. There is also a bakery a few steps away for fresh bread, yummy pastries and home made ice cream in summer and a friendly small convenient store with ATM machine. The village has a river, a water mill, a 12th century church with a lovely garden and the famous guided walks across the bay of the Mont Saint Michel which leave from the beach at Bec d'Andaine or from the nearby village of Saint Léonard. There are more restaurants, bars, cafes, stores, large supermarkets and an organic food shop in Avranches (15 minutes drive) and Granville (25 minutes drive). For recommendations on things to see and do in the area, check out our map or ask us.
  • Great accomodation. This is a cosy but very functional and recently renovated space with great added features. Luke was very helpful with suggestions. The village is lovely with at least 2 great restaurants so enjoy the wine and walk home.

  • If you wish to have an experience of a charming quiet French cottage this place is perfect. Not a place for large suitcases due to narrow and steep stairs but an experience we keep thinking how lucky we were to have the opportunity and Luke's local knowledge was very helpful and appreciated.

  • Luke & Claire were very helpful in providing us a cor and high chair for our toddler - made such a difference to our stay.

  • We stayed in this wonderful apartment for 2 nights. The cottage is in a small and beautiful village. The village has a bakery, a convenience store and some restaurants. We loved the cottage. It was well furnished and was quite modern. Luke was a great host. He explained in detail about the attractions nearby and was quite helpful. Would definitely stay in this lovely cottage if we visit this area again. Thanks a lot!

  • Mercy beaucoup. The place was nice and we had a lot to look at in the area. We loved the self picked oysters from the beach down the road.

  • We met Luke on our arrival. Super nice guy, took the time to explain us all the details about the house but also plenty of nice tips about the area (the town and the region). The house perfectly matches the description. the sofa/bed is pretty comfortable so it is definitely large enough for a group of 6 people. Our kids loved the place as well and we all had a great time.

  • Luke was there to welcome us even though we were lost and unsure of our arrival time. They also had printed out instructions regarding restaurants and bakeries etc. Very charming little place just as described.

  • You really will enjoy the stay in this lovely house. We had nice walks on the beach and many more awsome trips around!

This cozy studio, next to our home is closed to the down town and the train station. Dol is ideally located between Mont St Michel, Dinan, Cancale and St-Malo : it is an ideal starting point to visit the region, the main tourist sites are about 20/25 mn away It's next to the sea ( 7 km)! The walls of the house being very thick, the studio is perfectly isolated phonically. The bedding 2 people is new. In Dol, you will find supermarkets, crêperies and restaurants.
156 POSITIVE COMMENTS ! Private access for the guest. The studio can host 2 adults and 1 or 2 children. The bed on the mezzanine is small and is better for children or teenagers (see photos). New quality bedding, beds made on arrival, towels and tea towels provided. There is no kitchen but fridge, hotplates, mini oven, microwave and coffee maker are at your exclusive disposal. Your dishes will be washed by me. You can use the garden and garden furniture. There is a place to park your car.
It's close to the down town (10min walk).
  • Thank you Pascale for welcoming us to Dol-de-Bretagne, we felt like part of your family. The studio was incredible, with plenty of space and comfortable beds. The photographs are an exact replica of the space, including the lush gardens full of flowers. Your suggestions for exploring the area, including St Malo and Mont St Michel were perfect, thank you for calling on our behalf. The "desserts of the day" were a fabulous treat! It is these special touches that made all the difference, thank you so much. We hope to return some time in the future so for now we will say À bientôt! Lee and Jane

  • The house is lovely and in a very quiet, pleasant neighborhood. The town and surrounding area is charming. Pascale and her husband were very friendly and helpful and went out of their way to help us with directions and recommendations. They greeted us with a lovely apple cake on arrival and delivered delicious crepes to us one morning for breakfast. It is a small studio and after trying the loft for sleeping the first night we were much more comfortable sleeping downstairs on the pullout sofa. The wifi did not work within the apartment which was disappointing but there were a few places on the property where we could pick it up. All in all we had a very pleasant stay there.

  • This is a quiet apartment in a beautiful garden with superb hosts. The apartment was spotless, well furbished and Pascale provides you with everything you need. This is a great place to use as a base to explore the fascinating cities and scenery of Brittany and Normandie.

  • The reservation was canceled 15 days before arrival. This is an automated posting.

  • We stayed for 2 nights and the place was perfect for us. The room was clean and had great access to a garden where we had table and chairs to enjoy wine outside(we also parked our car in garden). The place was exactly how it showed in pictures. Pascale was very helpful and welcoming. She also helped us to plan our days/dinner in St Malo.

  • Pascale and Jean Luc are excellent hosts caring for the well-being of their guests by giving lifts to and from the station plus tasty treats left for us on most days. The accommodation is comfortable and sunny with a great view to the beautiful garden. It is an easy walk to Dol with good public transport links to main sightseeing places in the area. Brittany weather can be cool and rainy but this means the countryside is green and attractive.

  • Our hosts were very friendly and welcoming. The studio is lovely, very cosy and comfortable. Pascale was very knowledgable of the local area and was very generous: there was cake for us when we arrived, brought us chocolate mousse and fresh cherries from the garden. We felt very comfortable and relaxed. We would highly recommend this property!

  • Pascale and her husband were very welcoming and helpful, and went out of their way to provide us a cot for our baby. The apartment is compact but has everything you need, and is next to a pretty wood. We chose this place as a base to see Mont-St-Michel, which worked well, but I wish we'd had more time to see other local sights as well.

The "Blue room" is a nice bedroom with view on the sea in a 1900 villa registered on national historical building list. Breakfast included and bicycle available to visit the area.
The "chambre bleu" is one of the three room we got on airbnb. Our villa is an original place, built in 1868 for a famous french compositor Auber director of the Paris opera. it have been a casino before to be modified in 1903 as a private "art nouveau villa" Habited since 1968 by an artist family it's a cross over of modern style architecture, contemporary art, vintage bicycles and home made marmelade. As we always like got friends at home to share with us this lovely place, we use to got people at home, we have decided to get some of our bedrooms available to Airbnb. We got tree rooms available don't forget to check the two other room if this one is not free for your date or if you need more than one room. Please look at the pictures and comments. Expect to leave in an old huge house. About comfort : bathroom, kitchen, etc...are a bit rustic or we could say authentic I let you see... The bedroom got a good double bed and a very nice view on the sea. The villa is in front of the sea, you have just to walk few steps to walk on the beach. in the same time we are very close of all the shops, restaurants, and services. If you got a car you can park it in streets around the house. We can also afford you some bicycles to ride the area. If you come from Caen by public transportation the line bus is Twisto 61, time of transportation 45 mn. As Dauville and Cabourg Lion sur Mer is one of the first "station balnéaire" built in the 19eme century, the seafront of Llion sur Mer / Hermanville is welknown for it's villa's build beween 1860 and 1914 (brochure itinéraire du patrimoine n°125) Activity : you got a tennis club, few nautic clubs, some thalasso and a lot of museums and sites about the D-Day to visit in the region. My advice is first to enjoy the beach, country side and the local specialties, seafoods, the fishes, fresh cream and for that we got some good adresss. BREAKFAST, BICYCLES, SHEETS and TOWELS included !
Calm ! We are in a little village on the sea, with all usefiull stores and restaurants in a few metters area. Sea and a huge beach are just in front of us. countryside and fields just on our back. Our part of the normandy coast is still very calm with nice huge villas from the 19th century on the seafront, it’s just a bit more busy during summer holidays (14 july / 15 august) with the bastille day fireworks, week end’s flee markets etc...
  • Jasmin's place in Normandy is magical! I spent a romantic weekend there with my partner as we wanted to get away from Paris. It was the perfect place to do this--the room was cozy and the breakfast was lovely! Highly recommend to anyone wanting to see a bit of Normandy.

  • We had a wonderful time at Jasmin's villa! He was such a gracious host, served us wonderful breakfasts and was so knowledgeable and helpful which made it so much easier for us to explore the area! The villa is definetely a great place to stay at. The location is very unique and historical (right on Sword beach). We just loved it and wished we had more time there! Thank you Jasmin for everything. If we come back to Normandy we will hopefully get to stay with you again!

  • An interesting and eclectic decor. Slightly eccentic mix hosted by Jasmin who was hospitable and informative. Very comfortable bed. Would stay again.

  • Amazing view, amazing house and an even more amazing host! We loved our stay at Jasmin's home and would recommend to anyone. Unfortunately the weather wasn't so great during our stay but that did not matter at all. Jasmin made sure we were armed with all the local tips to keep us entertained for the duration of our trip. We also had the unexpected treat of having a little kitten keep us company when the rain was pouring. Thanks so much for everything and we were seriously craving some of your lovely chocolate cake after we left. best wishes Jenn and Jurij

  • Jasmin is an impeccably gracious and wonderful host. My stay at Villa Louis was even better than I had hoped. From the beautiful and eclectic decor inside the villa to the incomparable lovely and peaceful scenery outside of the villa, this experience was one of my favorites of all my Airbnb stays. Breakfast was delicious (the butter! the fresh-squeezed orange juice! the bread!) and conversations with Jasmin made the time fly. Wish I could have spent another week there! Waking up on the ocean was a dream, and the tiny village of Lion sur Mer was delightful. I highly recommend lodging here if you enjoy having a local flavor to your traveling rather than a bland hotel experience. I stayed at Jasmin's for two nights and found it quite good as a home base for my tour of the nearby D-Day sites.

  • Jasmin is an excellent host and he made us feel very comfortable, even staying up rather late as we arrived in the late evening. The house is a most interesting one as it is literally on Sword beach and is an 160 year old historic home which has been in his family for 60 years. It has lots of character with eclectic furnishings, but needs some work to make it into a really great listing. The beds were clean and Jasmin went out early in the morning to get breakfast and provided some home made tarts, all of which were excellent. However, the house is very, very cluttered which does not show in the photos and detracts from the charm of the house. Although it is a historic property, it is in need of some updating, especially in the baths. Jasmin's property has the potential to be one of the best and most unique in the Airbnb stable.

  • Jasmin is the best host i've ever met.. He is so kind and welcoming.. and his place is really exceptional, decorated with lovely collections.. and also it's located in a very good spot on the coast, you can easily go wherever you want to.. and you should also know that he will be a nice guide too..

  • Jasmin is a very laid back guy. He is very cool and kind about many things. His house should be on American Pickers. Many antiques. Jasmin is VERY accomodating and nice with a cute dog and kitten (allergies?). Be aware the cat loves to go to the balcony (through our room) and was hard to make leave our room (I am allergic). The place is a little on the creepy side upstairs. A lot of random noises throughout the night, and creaking sounds. But it's cool if you don't mind the haunted house feel. The beach was kind of sub par for us. Though biking around was really cool. Be aware food is hard to come by between 2 PM and dinner.

Little cottage completely renovated. Living room with a fireplace and fully equipped kitchen. At the 1st floor, attic bedroom and bathroom. Terrace, large open garden and orchard with sheeps in front of the windows. Around : the village and Nature!
On the ground floor, living room with the fireplace, 2 sofa-beds for casual use or for a child. Fully equipped kitchen: electric oven, microwave, electric cooker, Nespresso coffee machine. The cottage 1st floor is a renovated attic. In the bedroom there is a king size bed. Sink, shower and a separate toilet are also on the 1st floor.
  • Words cannot express how unbelievably magical this place is. If it's available, book it now. The house is comfortable and inviting. Kitchen is absolutely gorgeous--fully equipped, spacious and you've got a wonderful view of the sheep from the window. The bedroom and upstairs of the house are meticulously well though out. You can shower under the clear Normandy sky by simply opening the window above the shower. THE bedroom feels like a fortress with the wooden ceiling beams and the smell of nature wafting through the windows. But the exterior of the home is where the real magic is. We enjoyed the most beautiful starry skies I've ever seen in my life at night. Frederique and Philip have really went above and beyond by providing everything. There's lounge chairs, two bikes, the best tasting fresh churned butter, bread, soap, a hair dryer, fresh towels, fresh jam and fresh organic cider from their farm. Please, please stay here. It is perfection.

  • We had a lovely stay at the Little House, Frederique and her husband were incredibly welcoming and hospitable, we really enjoyed the home made jams in the morning and had a peaceful and relaxing stay. I wish we could have stayed for longer!

  • The Apartment was better than we expected. And we expected a lot of the beautiful pictures. It was more cozy and beautiful than on the pictures. We can definetly recommend it. It was one of our most beautiful airbnbs we have been. It was Big enough for us as auf small family. Our daughter and us loved The Big garden with The sheeps right around The house. She was collecting apples all the time. Frederique and her husband are a wonderful couple who helped with anything we needed. The offered cider was delicious as well like The fresh apples everyday. Thanks a lot for this great place on earth. Go for it, if you can.

  • This is in any way an authentic experience and Frédérique is the perfect host. If you want to see Normandy from a country side mannor, this is the place.

  • This cottage is absolutely perfect! Comfy and more spacious than it appears, a full kitchen, and an adorable up-close-and-personal view of the sheep and their babies!! Frédérique and Philippe (and their dog Breneuse) were wonderful and so friendly. They supplied a pair of bikes for us to use whenever, a variety of local and homemade goodies to eat, and even a grill if we wanted to cook out! Frédérique had plenty of good advice on where to visit and when to go shopping (much needed for first-time visiters to France, like us!) Our only regret is that we didn't stay longer!!

  • Amazing welcome. The overall presentation of the property was better than listed...our little boy loved the garden but most especially the sheep! After a relatively long journey, the cottage was a welcome retreat. People in the nearby village were also very friendly and pleasant. Frederique and her husband couldn't have been more welcoming and despite arriving a little early were very helpful and the cottage was spotless when we entered. we only wish we had another day or so to enjoy the tranquil surroundings. Thank you, Frederique for a wonderful stop off and hope to see you again very soon! Kind regards, Nicky, Jules and Lawrence

  • In three weeks of travel Frederiques place is my favorite. It's quiet, and took me back in time when I was a child living in France for a few years with my parents. The village is small, the roads narrow, and the connection to nature always present. Cone her and sit back and be reminded of how simple life can be.

    David W2017-07-15T00:00:00Z
  • Frédérique was very kind and welcoming; she even gave us a delicious bottle of homemade cider from her own trees. I had a lot of good cider while in France, but hers was the best! The chaumière was absolutely charming and beautiful with a lovely updated interior. We had a wonderful stay and only wish it could've been longer!

In the middle of pines and bamboos, an accommodation, fully equipped, independent, cheerful and bright with its terrace, in only 100m of the beautiful sandy beach. Shops, and activities (golf, horse racing, sailing, ...) within walking distance.
  • Where to start. Catherine and Jaques are the honest-to-goodness best sort of people on earth. They are full of overflowing life, and eager to share it with their guests. Staying with them is a destination in and of itself. I cannot recommend their home highly enough - and I have no words for their warmth and hospitality as human beings.

  • We just LOVED our hosts and their little cottage. Catherine and her husband were so warm and thoughtful. The little flat was warm and cozy when we got there. They even flew a large American flag in honor of our arrival on the tall flag post in their yard. The flat had everything we needed. It was clean and the shower was hot and lovely. The bed was comfortable and it was right by the ocean and all the little shops. We have friends in the neighborhood and would definitely stay here again.

  • Catherine kept in touch from booking up until our stay. apartment exactly as described. Very secluded apartment, 2 min walk to the sea shore.

  • We are happy to become acquainted with such extremely hospitable and welcoming people as Catherine and Jacques. Their home returns to the world of childhood and fairy tales. It is modern equipped and very comfortable. I hope I will return here next year. I can honestly advise this place for my friends.

  • Very sweet place to stay in. Catherine & Jacques are very nice hosts, always willing to help. The kids really dug the "hanging gardens" of Agon Coutainville :-). The rocks that are uncovered at low tide, right in front of the house, will feed you with fresh oysters. The beach front offers a nice bike ride too. Horse riding is 10 min away from the house, so are the Tennis courts. What else and what more could you ask for?

  • Best airbnb experience EVER! We stayed a night at Catherine and Jacques lovely flat on a last-minute whim, and it ended up being the highlight of our entire vacation. This couple greeted us with incredible warmth and exuberance into their home, gave us some odds and ends to cook with and even a dozen oysters fresh off the beach! The flat is bright and colourful, is environmentally self-sufficient (with solar panels and recycled rain water) and filled with Jacques' beautiful art. The beach was a stone's throw away, and the town is delightfully undiscovered by the tourist hordes. Thank you, Jacques and Catherine, for that breath of fresh sea air. :) Much love xo

  • Catherine and Jacques are 2 lovely people made to do this. They have build an amazing cute studio in a beautiful part of France, living between bamboo and the see. Never thought we could be surrounded by so much green on a small plot in an residential area. Nice to see how they run the bnb and and live themselves very close and aware of nature. To come back again, welcome in Belgium and warm grtz from Derrek and Karine

  • We felt incredibly welcome at Catherine's place! The little apartment/house was so nicely decorated and very comfortable and clean. They welcomed us warmly and even put out an American flag in honor of our visit which was a sweet touch. Our only regret was that we didn't to stay here longer. Agon-Coutainville is a cute town and this location is perfect. The hosts were thoughtful and kind.

  • It was really nice place to stay, though it was small but very well equipped and lovely artistic heart to feel; the host was truly caring and we felt like at home!

  • The studette is in a quiet residential neighbourhood and exactly as described. We were made feel very welcome and Nathalie speaks fluent English. The location is perfect for easy access to Caen, either by foot, or by bus. We loved how beautifully presented the studette is. It is small, but well laid out and benefits from handy shelving and lots of sockets (don't forget to bring plenty of adapters if you need them). The bed is really comfy and the shower is amazing! We stayed for 6 nights and were comfortable enough. We would highly recommend this place!

  • It was lovely to be able to stay at Nathalies, it is cozy and very clean place with nice feel into it. It was just what we needed after very long drive. Her place is also conveniently located close to the big motorways.

  • Overall it was a good overnight stay..bring a coffee pot, and a fan in the summer..but I cracked the door abd the window was open in the bath (URL HIDDEN) we managed. . Someone probably stole their coffee pot..who knows..? But, clean, towels, eggs, toast, bread, jam..2 mineral water bottles in fridge.. great value..

  • All perfect 190 plus reviews can't be wrong . Great stay . Super host . Dropped me into centre and left me breakfast ...brilliant Other hosts could learn a lot from this host

  • Everything went easy, nice hosts and the appartment was very cozy after a rainy day.

  • Nathalie's suite worked perfectly for my friends and I during our short stay in Caen. Sebastian was very kind and friendly, he picked us up and dropped us off at the train station. There are many restaurants, attractions and shops within walking distance. The suite is small and cozy and is well-equipped for the needs of a basic stay. Thank you so much for having us!

  • The host was very welcoming and showed us where the necessities were. he gave us a map of the town which was very useful. the description is very accurate of the room. the pictures are exactly what it looks like. the neighborhood is nice and quiet but only a ten to fifteen minute walk to the chateau.

  • Helene's was fantastic, much more than we hoped for when we made the booking. She was very pleasant and warmly greeted is even though we were later than anticipated. The place was very cozy and incredibly clean. She also had coffee, tea, and yummy homemade jam in the apartment. We would love to stay there again if we have the chance to make our way back to beautiful Honfleur.

  • Helene met us at our agreed upon time and gave us many suggestions for places for dining, walks and for picking up food for dining in. Her place was as described and worked well for us as a base as we took our driving adventures to Mont St Michel and the D-Day beaches. The one drawback for other people would be the 5 flights of stairs to go up to the apartment. We would recommend Helene's place to family and friends if they were planning a trip to Honfleur.

  • Awesome place, located in the center of town! Nice and clean and comfortable. Helene was an awesome host. I look forward to staying there again. Very lovely place. The jams and coffee was great!

  • The flat is beautiful and its very central location is absolutely ideal for people without a car. I didn't reqalise how difficult it would be to navigate our car to the location, and we weren't prepared to unload our car quickly and efficiently to get our luggage up the narrow staircase to the 3rd-floor flat. But Celine was very helpful and got in the car after we unloaded, to show me where to park. If you do come with a car, you'll be parking 10 minutes' walk away outside of the centre, so before you arrive in Honfleur, put just the luggage that you require for this stay into 1 or 2 easy-to-carry bags.

  • Thank you very much for such a fantastic reception. The accommodation was just brilliant in every way. We loved every minute of our time in Honfleur and your apartment made the stay perfect. Thank you very much. Rob

  • Hélène was gentle and helpful. There's a free parking near the house, which is in the center of the old city and in front of the main church and the bell tower. The flat was cleaning and with all the comforts. The interior design is stylish and elegant, with a touch of tradition. Perfect for staying a weekend or more. We'll return for sure, if we come back in Honfleur.

  • My husband and I had a fantastic stay at Helene's beautiful, spotlessly clean and functional apartment. Helene was a sweet, kind host. When my husband and I arrived late in the evening, exhausted after a long day of travel, Helene was kind enough to get in our car with us to show us where the nearby parking lot was, and later let us use her telephone when we couldn't find a public phone. My only wish is that we had stayed longer! I would definitely stay here again.

  • Excellent apartment in an excellent location. We were very warmly welcomed by Helene who was extremely helpful. Would definitely visit again!

  • The listing description was very accurate and the some. We arrived to a warm greeting and a cup of tea after a long day sight seeing. The room was great and we could indeed see the Mont from our window. Jackie gave us some good advice about what to do when we went to Mont St Michel which was only a few minutes drive away. We also shared in the arrival of the sheep from the salt meadows with Jackie and Jim stopping the traffic for the sheep to cross the main road. Two lambs were born that day and the farmer carried them home. Great sight. Breakfast was a very good and different each of the three days we were there. We also did our washing which was a real bonus. I had an insect bite which I was having a reaction to and Jackie provided the solution to that. We had a wonderful stay - we felt like we were at home and were reluctant to move on. I highly recommend this place to stay.

  • Jacqueline's home was just as adorable as listed! The location is very convenient to Mont Saint Michel and the home had a lot of character. Jacqueline was very welcoming and made sure to have a delicious breakfast ready for us the night before since a last minute emergency took her out of town in the morning.

  • The house is located next to the Mont Saint Michel, a stone's throw away Like this you get the chance to be in the typical flair of the Normandy - apple trees, cows and a lot of calmness. With the sight of the Mont St Michel, the stay in the house becomes a unique experience. The welcoming of the host Jacqueline is very kind and charming. We felt well from the first second. Thank you for the nice stay.

  • Jacqueline was gracious, friendly, and informative. Wonderful location and both rooms were perfect for our two families.

  • It was such a great stay!! Jacqueline and James were very friendly, warm & sweet. We had such a great time. The room was clean, beautiful and comfortable, wanted stay even longer. Also the breakfast was wonderful :) Will love to stay again!! Thank you so much!!

  • warm house, lovely garden, near to Mont St Michel! And the dog is so gentle!

  • Jacqueline was very warm and welcoming, made us feel at home. We arrived late and tired and it wasn't a problem for Jacky. Lovely accommodation situated nice and close to Mont St Michel. It was great having the place to ourselves. Good meal on arrival, the wine was especially delicious. We became relaxed very quickly. Thanks Jacqueline.

  • We had only one night to in Huisnes-ser-Mer. It was quite nice. Home-cooked dinner and Engligh breakfast. Jacqueline gave us tips to visit Mont-St-Michel in both morning and night. There was a strike, so the normal hours were off. I wish we could have stayed until the Tour rolls by in a few days. Convenient and relaxing destination.

  • Andie, Everything was absolutely perfect. We loved the house and location. We truly could not have been happier. Many Thanks!

  • Andie's beautifully renovated Honfleur home is ideal for a stay in the this charming town. The pictures depict the home perfectly. It's nicely situated within walking distance of everything. The back garden is gorgeous. We were fortunate enough to get some sun and enjoy the garden. The home is not only beautiful but comfortable. We slept well. Perfect home for a Normandy vacation.

  • We had a very warm welcome from Caroline who met us on time for our arrival. Wow ! what a fabulous house this is, our expectations were exceeded , the house and garden were absolutely perfect and we made the most of it. Andie must take a real pride in this house and attention to detail is noteworthy and a very high standard. The location is also perfect, Honfleur is so beautiful and so much to see and do, lots of restaurants and of course those amazing patisseries and boulangeries selling crusty bread and croissants. Theres a good supermarket in the town to stock up on provisions. This certainly comes into our top 3 holiday homes of the last 10 years and would recommend it to anyone. Many thanks to Andie and Airbnb for making our holiday so enjoyable

  • Wonderful house in a very beautiful city! We loved Honfleur with its old houses, charming shops, great restaurants and vibrant port. This house is perfectly situaged for enjoying everying the bassin area of Honfleur has to offer - morning walks to the boulangerie; shopping the wednesday market, riding the carousel, enjoying the quiet contemplation of the ancient church and giving in to temptation at the chocolateries. Everything without having to take the car out. The house was very well appointed with everything we needed. Three gorgeous bedrooms allowed us to entertain several batches of friends, and the very helpful and fluently english speaking caretaker was very helpful with extra sheet changes and other practicalities. The house itself is even more attractive than it looks in the pictures. Quite delightful, very tastefully furnished and meticulously restored. The living room is very light and a lovely place to hang out - as is the beautiful terraced garden. We are very glad we chose his house, and recommend it heartily!

  • We had a wonderful stay at Andie's home in Honfleur. It was spacious and accommodated two kids and three adults very comfortably. The outdoor space in the back was lovely.

  • I have visited Honfleur many times - I love it! This home was the best yet - stylish and in excellent location. Host was very helpful and friendly. Absolutely superb !

  • The apartment is so beautiful, it's in a great location, and the host was wonderful. So charming and welcoming - it was a pleasure to arrive. And she made checking out effortless, even though we had an early flight, and had to leave by 6:30am. I only wish that we'd had more friends with us, so they could enjoy the beautiful place as much as we did. We can't wait to visit again!

  • Fabulous accommodation in beautiful Honfleur for two couples. We didn't use the twin room on the third floor. Exactly as described and photographed. We were met on time and again on our departure. Walking distance to everything in Honfleur and a great base to explore Normandy. Highly recommended.

  • Lovely studio flat within easy strolling distance of Honfleur town centre. All as described, no complaints & would happily stay here again.

  • Having Valentin and Typhaine as our hosts and staying in their beautiful apartment "Nid du Puits" in picturesque Honfleur is the best imaginable Airbnb experience you can have. The apartment is extremly clean and tidy, cosy and has a good wifi access. The bed is first-class and the kitchen is well equipped. The bathroom is comfortable, as well and an added value is the funny cut looking through the window. Valentin is a nice and open-minded guy who gave us useful information about Normandie and trips to do from Honfleur. We would definately recommend the Nid du Puits!

  • Lovely apartment with a great location. 5 minute walk down the road to the main sights of Honfluer. Free parking on the street outside the apartment. Valentin Was there to check us in personally and gave us great local tips for bars and resturants as well as his favourite bakery for bread and pastries in the morning. Im sure we will be visiting Honfluer again and Typhaine and Valentin's apartment will be the first place i will check is available. A great experience overall.

  • This charming apartment is a close walk to downtown Honfleur, and close to many lovely shops, restaurants, and cafes. We were looking forward to a restful night after a busy day in Mont Saint Michel. However, rest was not in the cards for us. Unfortunately, the apartment is on street level, and we were able to hear cars passing. That would have been manageable, except the neighbors upstairs had a party until 2am, in which it sounded like the main event was a game of football or a wrestling match. This, of course, was not the fault of our lovely hosts. They were very accommodating, and even offered to accompany us to a local wine shop to pick some wine to take home in the morning. We were not able to take them up on their hospitality as we overslept due to the party, and had to run to catch out flight.

  • This is a good place to stay for a few days.Great position in Honfleur, parking ( tight but worth driving round to find as spaces do come free), comfortable bed, quiet street, small bathroom but good shower.Shame issue with the internet

  • Typhaine's beautifully renovated studio is the perfect place to explore Honfleur. It is on a quaint street only a couple of minutes' walk to the harbour and restaurant scene. The space itself has been very tastefully restored with high quality furnishings and modern amenities. A comfortable bed and good shower are definitely worth having when traveling and this apartment delivers. Typhaine herself was a wonderful host who responded quickly to all queries and was there on check-in to show me the place. She is hospitable in every way and we enjoyed a nice dinner out with her partner savouring the beautiful seafood available in Honfleur. Highly, highly recommended.

  • The apartment is spacious and in a fantastic location in Honfleur. Valentin is a welcoming guest, who had a recommendation book for things to do, places to discover and restaurants to try out. Valentin's recommendations were spot on. Valentin speaks English fluently. L'apart est tres bien situe, spacieux et tout est moderne sans sacrifier le charme du batiment. Valentin est un hote attentif et facilement joignable par SMS. Valentin nous a donne de tres bonnes idees resto.

  • A bit a pity, I didn't get to meet Typhaine. Her husband came to let us in with a quick word of instructions. Although it was ok to stay there I think it is much nicer in summer. The walls were really cold and there was a chill hanging in the room.

'Le Petit Lapin' is a private 'boutique' cottage next to my farmhouse in the small Breton village of Sains. Its exposed beams and stone walls reveal its rural character, but it has all the modern amenities as well as its own large terrace.
On the Brittany-Normandy border, 'Le Petit Lapin' is a traditional Breton cottage located on top of a hill in the small village of Sains, nine kilometres from the famous medieval site of Mont Saint Michel. Usually renting by the week in high season (3 nights minimum) and by the night (2 nights minimum) the rest of the year, this small self-catering holiday cottage sleeping 2-4 people has a lovely view from the orchard over the Couesnon Valley to the south. The lively market town of Pontorson, the gateway to Mont Saint Michel, is six kilometres to the east in Normandy, while Dol de Bretagne, with its ancient cathedral, is eight kilometres to the west in Brittany. Dol additionally boasts several fine restaurants and a public indoor swimming pool. Sandy beaches are a thirty-minute drive from the house, as is dramatic cliff-walking near Cancale, a town famed for its oysters. Saint Malo, with its old walled town and a large aquarium, is also a thirty-minute drive, as is the beautiful medieval town of Dinan and the seaside town of Dinard. Rennes, the capital of Brittany, is a hour away and has a fabulous Saturday market, but there are plenty of colourful local markets throughout the week in Dol (Saturday), Saint James (Monday) and Pontorson (Wednesday) as well as a small market twice a week in the nearby village of Pleine Fougeres (on Tuesdays and Fridays). Pleine Fougeres also has a large supermarket. Please note that the minimum stay is 2 nights most of the year and 3 nights in the summer, and while I prefer week-long bookings in July and August-- due to the region's popularity-- I am happy to make exceptions if there is availability. Monthly rentals are normally only available November through March.
  • We spent a very pleasant stay in Caroline's cottage. The house is lovely, very well equipped, calm and clean and very well located to visit the Mont Saint Michel and surroundings (Saint Malo, Cancale, Dinan, etc...) Caroline was a lovely host, and will give you some visit & restaurant tips so do not hesitate to ask for her help ! Thanks a lot Caroline for making our stay unforgettable !

  • This was our first experience with AirBnB and it was definitely a success. Caroline welcomed us very nicely and had a lot of information about the area! The cottage is very cute, cozy and clean and is perfect for 3 to 4 people. The location is perfect for visiting the Mont St Michel. We are really happy we chose Caroline's cottage instead of a standard hotel. Thank you Caroline for a nice stay, we thoroughly recommend your cottage to all future travelers!

  • This was a lovely little space in a small town with a nice view of the surrounding fields. The kitchen was well equipped and we were able to enjoy a home-cooked meal. The loft is good for someone who can climb the little staircase easily.

  • Hi Caroline, Le Petit Lapin was every bit the perfect retreat in a wonderfully quiet and relaxing part of the countryside - an ideal place to return to each evening after chasing the Tour de France. Thank you for your kind hospitality, homemade pate and the fresh cherries picked from the garden! Our little home had everything we needed and the beds SO comfortable for a good nights sleep. You've obviously worked very hard to make your house and gardens so beautiful and simple; everything seemed to fit so naturally and unpretentiously - congratulations. All I need to do now is persuade my wife that she needs to come and stay next time. Thank you once again. John and Jonathan...and yes, we managed to visit the village of Vessey not far from Pontorson!

  • We spent a wonderful time at "Le petit Lapin". The cottage is very beautiful and has just everything for a relaxing holiday. We loved the huge orchard and spent many evening there. Caroline and Tom are great hosts, very friendly and helpful. The warm welcome with the delicious bottle of wine and the flowers let us feel home from the beginning. We enjoyed the discussions on wednesday evening together with Caroline and Tom in their garden with a glas of wine. The cottage is at a very nice place, very calm and well located and not far away from Saint-Michel and beautiful sandy beaches. There are many nice places around to discover. We highly recommend this lovely cottage to everyone, who would like to discover this very nice part of brittany. We hope to come back another time.

  • Both Caroline and the cottage were delightful. The cottage is set in beautiful surroundings. Tranquility abounds. Caroline was very welcoming.

  • May 18, 2015 Our stay at "The Petit Lapin" was our first experience with Airbnb. Being very independent- well traveled people who have high expectations, we can say that our experience was one of the most relaxing, enjoyable and memorable of our many trips. The property is set in the small and truly quaint French village of Sains. The hostess Caroline’s story of finding the old farm property and the process of care given to renovations only added to the appreciation of the experience of the stay. We had been traveling for two weeks staying at hotels and inns (which were nice), but “The Petit Lapin” and our hostess provided us with the feeling of being at a private refuge for a few days. The location is in easy access to of all area tourist locations including Mont St. Michele. Caroline provided reference maps, directions and personal points of interest that only added to our trip. We had a wonderful stay at “The Petit Lapin” cottage and hated that we had to leave. The experience established a standard for us by which we will compare future experiences with Airbnb. Our thanks to Caroline for a wonderful stay and the memories! Fritz and Gina Van-Kaupp, USA

  • We had two wonderful days at Claudes home! All was very clean and charming, we felt at home from the first moment and our children loved the big and beautiful garden! The breakfast was delicious and with a lot of local specialities! we really would like to come back again!!!

  • Fantastic place for relaxing and reloading. The cottage is very charming and cozy, all in house plunges you into the authentic atmosphere - big fireplace, furniture, all little things! Claude is very hospitable and kind, her homemade pies was so tasty! Perfect place, highly recommended.

  • My wife and I stayed for two nights on our honeymoon. We started in the Netherlands, went through Germany, Spain, and then drove through France to Cambremer. Of all the places we stayed, this was by far our most positive experience! It is a wonderful ranch house, with the huge yard and beautiful orchards just like the pictures show. Our host was absolutely incredible!! She was so welcoming, helpful, and really helped make this our best experience so far of any Airbnb. Thank you so much!!

  • Absolutely gorgeous setting - we were welcomed and felt right at home. Our hostess was very warm and we enjoyed talking with her about the region. The property can be hard to find (GPS doesn't always get it right) but it was nicely located, not far from a couple of restaurants. My daughter enjoyed brushing the horses and ponies and she really didn't want to leave. Breakfast was delicious, a variety of breads and pastries and some fresh cherries off the tree outside the window. The house is typical Normandy style - lots of history and charm - but the bathroom is modern and the beds are comfortable. We would love to visit again!

  • What an excellent b n b! The building is full of history, the furnishings are exquisite, and such a wonderful feeling of peace and tranquility. The breakfast was wonderful...not an average French breakfast...fresh homemade cakes, a vast selection of homemade preserves and local specialities and interesting teas(we didn't sample the coffee tho it was tempting) Madame was entertaining company and nothing was too much trouble.I will definitely stay there again and will recommend wholeheartedly to all my friends. I only hope I can reciprocate as a hostess if Madame Bourcier can visit England.

  • We had a wonderful stay here. The surroundings are gorgeous, especially the horses grazing out front. Lovely cozy room and amazing breakfast homemade from local produce. Cambremer is a very nice town with a nice bistro The Petite Normande and cider/calvados producer Pierre Huet. Thank you for having us, we really enjoyed our stay.

  • What a beautiful place! The house and the interior are amazing, the rooms are comfortable and very well designed. U feel like in a dream house! We spent the evening by the fireplace. In the morning we got a nice breakfast-plenty of choice- and were sorry to leave the house so soon, but had other plans already. Thank you for spoiling us!

  • Claude was a lovely host - we were greeted and warmly welcomed on arrival, and I was relieved that her English was excellent, putting my awful French to shame. The bedrooms were great, we were in an adjoining room to our children - which catered perfectly for our family of 5. A fantastic breakfast was prepared for us in the morning, which set us up for our onward journey. Claude's home is beautiful, and the facilities are 5* standard. We would not hesitate to revisit Le Pressoir again, thank you for having us!

  • Christians loft apt is lovely. We had a great couple of days here in the beautiful country area near the town. Our baby loved the hens. Beautiful and memorable place.

  • We loved staying at Christian's apartment. It was lovely and perfect for seeing Mont Saint Michael and the surrounding area. The flat was lovely and very comfortable. Christian was incredible helpful and even found a bike for my son to ride. Our son also go to collect eggs from the chickens. Highly recommend staying here.

  • Christian was an extremely hospitable, helpful, thorough and friendly host, making good local recommendations and offering to check us in slightly late so that we could stop to enjoy dinner on our way to the apartment. The apartment itself is lovely and well set out, we'd definitely recommend a stay! Merci beaucoup Christian et Fanfan!

  • My wife and I could not have asked for a better place to stay in Normandy for our honeymoon - it was incredible. We broke our 10 day trip in France up into 2 parts. We spent the first third of the trip in the Normandy to visit Mont Saint Michel, Omaha Beach, Giverny, and Etretat and Christian's home was the perfect place to rest during our 2 night, 3 day trip. Upon arrival, Christian met us with with eggs from his hens, fresh jam, and a personal tour of the loft. The place itself is clean, well-designed, and overall a restful environment. We took the recommendation from earlier reviews and took a walk through the neighborhood - highly recommended during golden hours! Wish we could have out with Christian, his wife and their cat a bit more, but our full schedule meant that we were in and out of the loft regularly! Thankfully, that worked out perfectly fine as well. Highly recommended this spot!

  • The property is clean, well-maintained, and very comfortable. It is very restful, quiet. The host, Christian, is friendly, approachable and helpful.

  • We were welcomed like old friends who had been away for a short while...immediately felt at home...Fanfan greeted us with a bottle of cider...Christian arrived a bit later and welcomed us so beautifully...they shared the fruits of their gardens several times...Christian and Fanfan are two of the most open hearted, lovely, fun, sharing, enthusiastic, and unique people to have ever lived on this planet...we shared a bunch of conversations and stories on their various terraces and we were treated to the real charcoal grill.. oh and the apartment was perfect cannot find better anywhere on earth!

  • Our stay in Christian and Fanfan's home was wonderful. Everything was exactly like the photos and they couldn't have been more friendly and charming. We had eggs for breakfast straight from the chickens in the backyard! The little farming town is so quaint and perfect - I recommend that everyone take a walk through the small streets; you'll be pleasantly surprised with a wonderful far away view of Le Mont Saint Michel. I would highly recommend this stay!

  • Our stay chez Christian et Fanfan was wonderful. The only bad thing was that we had to leave after one night. The apartment is lovely and very comfortable, and a beautiful garden and patio tops it off. And of course it's a great spot for touring this beautiful part of France. Christian brought us to the weekly market in Avranches and informed us of the local specialties. Afterwards he and Fanfan invited us to share a relaxing lunch with them at the house. My son had a great time feeding the chickens and playing with the cats. We will definitely be back!

Traditional Normandy house with private forest of 40 hectares, 4km from the beach of Villers sur mer, 8km from Deauville. 26 beds, large fire place in the living room. Horse facilities. Russian, English, Spanish are spoken languages.
Spacious old house beside a horse farm, this building was previously used to accommodate the trainees of my father who was a well known horse riding instructor. Perfect for groups or families willing to enjoy the calm of the forest at 5mn driving distance from the beaches of Deauville, Villers, Cabourg. Two large dormitories with heaters: 8 beds in one room, 16 beds in the other room, + 2 beds in a small double room. Clean bed sheets are provided for all beds but not the blankets, it's recommended to come with your own sleeping bags. Two bathrooms with hot water, showers (2) and toilet (1), additional toilet outside. 25 guests can sit in the dining room. Possibility to use the fire place in the living room but with safety restrictions (see "House Rules" section). The grass field behind the house can be used for outdoor activities. Horse facilities are available but not included in the price.
  • I and ten friends stayed at Raoul's Normandy house and it was fantastic! Raoul responded to emails almost immediately and accommodated our late arrival. The house was great for large amounts of people (it could have fit twice our number) and since we were looking for a dormitory-style house away from the city, it matched our need perfectly. Thanks again Raoul!

  • Beautiful area, great to enjoy the sea, the forest and some horseback riding! The house is simple but nice, you can light the fireplace and make it cosy. Raoul was a very nice host (virtually) and we had a nice welcome from his children at the location itself.

  • This is a great venue to explore Deauville, Villers and the surrounding countryside. The kitchen, lounge and bedrooms have a lovely rustic charm with exposed beams and wood/ cobbled floor. The highlight is the setting with immediate access to woodland walks.

  • I rented Raoul's place to celebrate my birthday this year. We had a great time there, it is the perfect place for such an event. The place is rustic, as advertised in the description and pictures. It has all the necessary things for a great stay over a weekend. A typical normandy house with a big fireplace. We were a group of friends from all over Europe (and also from Kazakhstan), and all my guests loved the place. I definitely recommend it! Raoul was accessible through email when needed, and he gave us clear instructions and a local contact for getting the keys, etc.

  • It is a Beautiful house! Raoul doesn't embellish! The contact with him is very easy and nice! I recommend the house and in the future, I may come back at Villers

A refaire!

  • Cynthia and Annick were very very accommodating, great communication, property was as described. Thank you :)

  • The facilities were clean. The location was ok but not ideal if you want to explore the beaches at normandy. The arrival was difficult. Partially my fault due to unexpected delays, but the person who met us didnt speak english which caused some frustration when getting oriented to the flat. This also led to no real orientation to the area. They also charge money for towels and sheets.

  • We met with the hostess on arrival, and she showed us the apartment and gave us the key. It was exactly as pictured and was clean and appealing, having modern design features and amenities. Parking was plentiful and free and we could walk to the beach in less than 10 minutes. It was quiet, peaceful and picturesque and I would stay there again and recommend it to anyone. There was a TV but no cable or WiFi.

  • Very nice place to visit! Recommended!

  • The reservation was canceled 2 days before arrival. This is an automated posting.

  • Great place to stay with fantastic view! Just like on the pictures. Good communication with owner. I'd love to come back here!! Our 2 little kids also loved Deauville and Trouville.

  • Great location, right next tothe beach, just a few minutes walk from city center.Appartement spotless and has all the amenities needed. Nice and warm when we were there. Very impressed. I highly recommend it.

  • Our stay at Aurélie's apartment was wonderful. Her mother lives in the building and helped us at both check-in and check-out. It's truly only a few steps from a beautiful beach, and the town of Trouville is charming. The apartment has been recently renovated to a high standard, particularly the bathroom. I wish I could have a shower like that every day! Thank you, I look forward to returning.

  • Try not to make a big deal when it comes to Deauville vs. Trouville. Patricia's place is so close to where everything is happening. Great host and great location to watch the sunset and walk on the beach. I hope she'll welcome us in her home if we're ever back in the area. Thumbs up x 10!

  • The flat is modern and the location is great. Aurelie was very friendly to us and answered all the questions we had.

  • It was really nice, clean and comfortable. Aurélie is very kind and always very quickly answered. And the haus very near to beach.

  • The place was terrific. We would LOVE to come again, we will definitely keep this in our books for future visits ! 5 Stars !

  • The apartment was absolutely lovely , in a great location by the beach . The pictures don't do it justice , it is much nicer in reality. It was spotlessly clean , the bathroom was very modern with an amazing shower . We did not meet Aurèlie herself but she was very helpful when I asked if she could arrange for someone to take us to the airport on our departure. Her father was happy to do it ( we payed him 20€ instead of 30€ that the taxis charge for a 10 minute journey ) . Both her parents ( lovely people ) were there to welcome us on when we arrived . This was one of the best Airbnb experiences we've had so far . All in all I highly recommend the apartment to anyone wishing to have a nice stay which is reasonably priced .

  • Vincent and Patricia's place is a little gem. Everything you need for a stay in Honfleur. Great bed and bathroom along with a well kitted out living kitchen. The location is perfect, a short walk down the hill into the old town, but far enough out to be able to park outside (very necessary with a carload of stuff and dog!) Honfleur itself is charming and full of little secret places to discover, we shall certainly be back for more. Patricia and Vincent welcomed us warmly and were great fun to chat to, with lots of good tips on places to go.Merci Patricia et Vincent

  • We had an amazing time in Caen and had a lovely stay in this apartment, it had been a long day travelling and we were delighted to recieve such a warm welcome in a very nice and relaxing apartment. Thank you Nathalie and Sebastien.

  • Awesome! Sebastien super nice and ready to help with anything. The apartment fully corresponds with description. Thanks for a nice stay :)

  • Lovely little apartment in the centre of town, just above one of the main streets. Perfect for our 2 night stay in Caen. The communication we had was very helpful too during the run up to our stay!

  • This flat was absolutely adorable! Sebastien was kind enough to meet us, help us park and give us plenty of info about the Caen area - he even dropped us a text to let us know where best to park on market day! The property itself is as central as you could ever wish for - right on the street with restaurants and bars, but because of some good double-glazing it's also very quiet at night. The apartment is modern, clean, cosy and well-equipped and perfectly situated for anyone wanting to explore Caen and the surrounding areas - a little haven in the midst of the city!

  • This is a fantastic place to stay on Caen! Everything supplied that you needed to be comfortable. The location is superb...easy access to public transport and eating places, really interesting old area of the city. Very safe area. Sebastien and Nathalie are very kind, considerate hosts. I would recommend this apartment to any couple of individual going to Caen.

  • Paul is a great host, really welcoming and very helpful! The house was really clean and modern. Thank you, Paul, hope to see you again.

  • Paul was an amazing host. The place was absolutely beautiful and spotlessly clean! The wood burning stove was wonderful! The bottle of win, cheese and pâté and bread were wonderful. Paul was so helpful with directions for us!

  • My family of 2 adults and 4 children stayed at L'escale for one night on route back to our ferry after a holiday in the south west of France. This gite was absolutely faultless. Paul is a magnificent host who was very welcoming and catered for our every need. Apart from the fresh bread, the fresh fruit and the bottle of wine there was also a well stocked larder available for our use. The accommodation itself was spotlessly clean. While it is a renovated building Paul has managed to combine the old look with a slightly contemporary feel. It was just a pity that we were only there for one night. I can't recommend L'escale highly enough.

  • Love , love , love this property!!! Can't say enough about this place and about Paul and his attention to detail. Would highly recommend it to anyone . We will be back for sure. Thank you Paul!!! All the best

  • Paul is a very kind host and we enjoyed our stay very much. The house is very clean and the beds are comfortable. I can't think of anything to complain to. Paul and his house gave us more than we needed. Such a wonderful memory! Thanks very much!

  • Paul, Thank you for a wonderful stay in your "old" barn. We have travelled in various parts of the world but have very rarely experienced the combination of a fantastic host and comfortable accommodation. Paul's little piece of heaven is perfect for a family group wanting to explore and above all experience this part of France. We arrived late to a prepared meal, wine and the best equipped short stay accommodation we have ever seen. Attention to detail is everything and Paul has the flair and insight to know what is required. The location was a quiet retreat after a hard days sightseeing with a cosy wood fire. Needless to say, we highly recommend L'Escale for your stay in this beautiful part of France.

  • Paul was a wonderful host. From the initial booking his communication was excellent and he assisted us during our short stay. We loved the place and enjoyed a game of boules on the lawn in the morning. We hope to book again for a longer stay instead of just passing through. Thanks again Paul

  • Home was a recently remodeled converted stone building. The place was very well done. Had great well designed bathrooms and a very large kitchen. Very very spacious and downright luxurious. Location was very rural which made for a quiet night's sleep. It was only moderately close to the sights of Normandy but well worth the drive. Paul was very helpful and courteous. Wish we'd stayed more than one night!

  • We stayed at Marie's place in Étretat for a day between Paris and London, and it was one of the best parts of our trip! Étretat is one of the most beautiful places I've ever been, and Marie's apartment in the looking out into the city and the beach was the perfect place to stay. First, the town - it's surreal how unique this little town is. It almost feels like it was picked up out of Epcot at Disneyworld and dropped right where it is, nestled between the famous white cliffs. There are a few markets and some amazing restaurants no matter how classy or casual you want to get, so if you're there for a short stay you literally have no need to leave town (good thing too, parking can be a little hard). The natural beauty of the cliffs and surrounding countryside is something everyone should experience if they get a chance. If you're even considering it (and you are if you're reading this review) then go for it, you will not regret it. Secondly, if you are going to go, hopefully Marie's place is available! It opens up onto the street in front of two very good restaurants, a casino, and the beach is mere paces away from the front door. Marie was an excellent host, she met us in front of the building and led us up to her apartment on the top floor. Once there, her and her husband gave us a little background on the building and the town and let us on our way. It was a very nice touch and helped us appreciate where we were staying. Everything worked in the apartment as expected and was very clean and comfortable. Seriously, if you have the opportunity, book here now!

  • The apartment is in a fantastic location. The view is beautiful. The space would be great. The main bedroom had a large comfortable bed. The second bed was a pullout couch that was ok but a bit tight for my tall adult daughters. We did have a wonderful stay.

  • Marie's place was absolutely wonderful. Her description of the apartment and location is very accurate. The view was spectacular from the bedroom, living room and bathroom, and the location was prime as you could walk everywhere easily. The apartment was clean and presentable with all the essentials for a comfortable stay. If you plan to use the sofa pull out talk to Marie beforehand about how best to open it as we had some difficulties doing so. It was very easy to find the place and obtain the key to get access to it. Marie provided excellent information regarding parking options, checkin/checkout procedures, and things to do in Etretat by both Airbnb and email to ensure we had all the information readily available. She was very responsive leading up to the stay, during, and as we were leaving. We highly recommend staying at Marie's place; you won't be disappointed! Thank you Marie!

  • This apartment was amazing. The location is perfect, next to the beach, shops, restaurants, and hiking. The view of the cliffs from the windows far exceeded our expectations. This apartment is spacious and had everything we needed. Marie was a great host and communicated with US beforehand as well as aftewe we left. I

  • We had an excellent time at Marie's. It is a beautiful old building with a charming entry and fireplace. One reaches the apartment by an old-fashioned elevator like those seen in good classic movies. Everything was neat and clean and the naval decorations were perfect with the wonderful views from the windows. Marie and Domonique were both very helpful and made sure we had a good stay. It is an area that certainly deserves more time than the one overnight we had.

  • Great view, great place !!!

  • The view you wake up to is worth every cent. Location is in the middle of town, walk out the door and surrounded by shops and restaurants and the beach and walks are very close.

  • The Mouly's are super hosts. They helped us with parking and our luggage when we arrived. We learned about tunnels in the cliffs while having a lovely conversation with them. We experienced their recommendations during our stay. Fantastic! The view from their apartment is spectacular. I would recommend their lovely home to anyone wanting to experience Etretat over staying in a hotel. Lovely people and great accommodations.

  • Alejandro was very flexible in the key handoff and helpful with information about the local Normandy sights. The apartment is very well appointed and centrally located for d-day sightseeing. We loved the washing machine and good wifi. Will definitely stay again when we return.

  • Alejandro's very quiet and nice place on the outskirt of Comme is a perfect location for exploring the area. Also, he is very knowledgable about the D-Day landscape and is more than willing point out the best spots to see. Thanks for accommodating us so well, Alejandro.

  • Thanks Alejandro for the warm welcome. We spent a lovely night in your spotless flat! Everything was as advertised and the place is really comfortable. The location is just fantastic! We hope we can come back soon.

  • Alejandro was a wonderful host. Met us in town and lead us to the appartment. The appartment was clean, light and airy. Wonderful place to relax or be a base to see all of the Normandy beaches.

  • Our stay by Alejandro went wonderfully and his communication leading up to our stay was prompt and friendly. My wife and I stayed with our two boys, and we couldn't have been happier about our experience. Perfect location for D-Day sites and Alejandro was a wealth of information about where to go and how to get there. We highly recommend this property if it fits your needs. Great value as well. The pool wasn't working at the time, but our boys gladly went swimming in the English Channel just a short drive away.

  • This was by far the best Airbnb of our European trip. Wonderful, quiet place but everything any traveler could ever need, from tea to hair gel! Alejandro was exceptionally gracious and made sure we felt at home.

  • We stayed one night at Alejandro's place on our way between Dieppe and St. Malo. It makes an excellent location for exploring the D-Day coastline. The apartment is located in the outbuildings of a chateau with lovely views over the Normandy countryside towards Bayeux. It's a short distance from the small port of Port-en-Bessin-Huppain where there is a supermarket and a pretty harbour surrounded with restaurants. It was beautifully clean and well equipped, including free coffee and tea supplies. We had a very comfortable night as a family of four, it made a great stopping off point. I would recommend Alejandro's place without hesitation.

  • The apartment is like a home. Self contained everything a family need. Quiet. Close to all famous Normandy sightseeings. Rock wall somewhere make my daughter feel like in castle. Parking is close. Parking slots are enough. Host is warm hearted. In the dark night of Christmas Eve, we were warmly welcomed although he actually driven quite a distance from other place to the apartment. .

Large room with private bathroom in a lovely traditional house with garden rue Isabey right in the center of Etretat, 2mn walk from the beach, calm and comfortable.
Our house is a 5mn walk to the beach in a calm street although it's right next to the city hall and the heart of the village. It's hidden from the street by our garden where you can hang out if you want, take breakfast or a glass of wine.
    Etretat is precious and unique.
  • If you want to go to paradise, come to Etretat and stay in Alexandra and Martins place. The place it's self was amazing, and old building which was renovated beautifully inside. The room was picturesque, and had lovely furniture and a window which looked out into the garden and across the houses. The bathroom was clean and tidy and looked very new. I fell in love with the house and didn't want to leave. The coffee and cakes were much appreciated. Etretat town was like something out of a fairytale, with old buildings and friendly locals. I had some amazing pastries from the patisseries there and one of the best pain au chocolat I had had in France. There is a super market which has all the essentials as well. I found i The hard to get coffee for some reason but found a cafe serving espresso by the water. The cliffs and beach were breathtaking! I highly recommend venturing around all day and walking the beaches and following the little tunnels through the cliffs. Les Jardin D'Étretat are worth a visit if you like sculpture, but it's 7€ Plan your trip well before you go. Étretat busses only come 3 times a day outside of summer and you have to bus from Le Havre (line 24). From Paris it's takes about 3 hours. Train - Paris > Le Havre Bus - Le Havre > Étretat Well worth a trip!

  • Beautiful house. Quiet even though it's very central. The air here is sensational - you can almost feel it doing you good! I didn't meet Alexandra but Martin is a perfect host. Told me where the best places to go were and was right every time. Etretat itself is a jewel. So....all in all.......highly recommended.

  • A great home in an amazing town, the host was great and accommodating in every way!

  • Perfect stay in the most beautiful place. We loved it really much. The breakfast was so lovely, thank u so much!

  • Alexandra and Martin were gracious hosts who made us feel very comfortable. As other guests have indicated, they provided excellent recommendations for food and sights in Étretat and the surrounding towns. The room is best suited for a couple who are comfortable with each other - the bathroom door has a window in it! :) We enjoyed our time and thank the hosts for our stay!

  • Wonderful stay

  • Very charming room, near city center and beach. Perfect for a quiet immersion in the nature. Relaxing athmosphere with excellent welcoming. Highly recommended. à bientot!

  • It was a very nice experience staying by Alex. The room is clean, bright, just like what it shows in the photos. It's near the center and the sea, there are several restaurants, supermarket and patisserie. Alex and her boyfriend is super friendly, willing to offer all the information that we needed.

At the heart of the historic city, this 20m2 studio, with exposed wood paneling and a splendid front of you daily show is seen with the rising and falling tides and some evening will your opportunity have the sun and lying to admire far chausey islands .....
small kitchen fully equipped, and a storage closet this little studio is ideal for one person or a couple.
This area is unique in its architecture because it is the oldest part of town, the houses have a certain charm that is also the quieter, but the square Cambernon provides a small bar with live music, a nice museum, small galleries .... and especially the sea and its beaches
  • The view from the apartment was better than I imagined, situated in the historic high part of the town with dramatic cliff top scenery, energising walks and beach below. Nestled in the narrow streets of granite buildings, there are also artist run galleries including Rose's nearby. The dark wooden floor and panelling of the studio apartment, barometers and references to the sea made this an interesting and atmospheric place to retreat to and enjoy the view while having a simple meal and glass of wine. It would suit a couple or single person and is within healthy walking distance of many restaurants, bars, shops, and a cinema and other attractions Granville has to offer.

  • What a beautiful studio. Not perfect, but location is perfect! We did enjoy our stay and the friendly Rose. We will definately recommend this to our friends and there is a very big chance we will return for a few nights.

  • A nice place in a wonderful sweet little town. with a beautiful beach in front of the house. can only say, a fine place to be. With breakfast . . . So we think there will be every morning baguette. . .

  • Rose was good at communicating by email. Unfortunately she was away and we did not get to see her, but she provided good directions to get the key. The place is as per photographs and good walking distance to everything. Only one towel for two people, this may have been due to her not being there to get it ready. Cozy and perfect for a one night visit.

  • The studio is just perfect. Stylishly furnished and has everything you need for a short stay. Also Granville is so charming!

  • Amazing locations, sea view, old part of town. Rose is a kind and helpful .

  • We had some fantastic days in Granville. The Flat is great and Rose is a nice host.

  • Rose's little oasis could not have been more perfect! From the view to her delivery of sugar cubes for the morning coffee! Go stay at her place if you can!

In the heart of historic beaches, l'HERMEREL stands up, proud, surrounded by its pastures. You’ll enjoy to discover this charming place with its superb little gothic chapel ( XVth century) and the circular dovecote, representing privilege in days old, with hundreds of former pigeon niches. L’ Hermerel is also an authenthic fortified working dairy farm. Our guest’s children are so happy to meet cows and calves. The four confortable rooms are in the independent wing of the manor house. Each one has its own personality and original charm. Two of them are special for families. More photos on our website. Breakfast is served in our dinning room, reminiscent of days gone by, with its walk-in stone fireplace and hanging copper kettle, heavy beamed ceiling and old farm furniture. You’ll enjoy to taste French “baguette” with a large choice of different breds, homemade cake, fruit juice, homemade jams, famous butter of Isigny, cereals, cheese and beverage of your choice. We know you'll find at home with us
Fabulous location. Really the most gorgeous place we saw during our stay in this area. Agnès and her husband are charming people, their story is beautiful and worth all kind of support. Don't miss the opportunity to spend at least one night there !

  • We spent two amazing days in this WONDERFUL bed and breakfast. If you are planning to visit Normandy, I would highly recommend this chateau. First of all, you can't beat the location - you are literally minutes away from the beach and several great restaurants at Grandcamp Maisy. Point du Hoc (and the beginning of Omaha Beach) is only 14km away. Agnes was very responsive to our emails and to any questions we had. Our family of four stayed in the "Grandparent's Suite". It was very roomy and comfortable. The bathroom was extremely modern with a great shower and plenty of hot water. Agnes provided water and tea in the room which was nice after a long day of traveling. In addition, the room was full of history with family medals and certificates dating back to World War I. Agnes served a wonderful breakfast every day featuring breads, jams, cheeses, cereal and even an assortment of fresh fruit straight from the market!! The Manor House itself is an attraction not to be missed, from the dove house to the 15th century chapel. We thoroughly enjoyed our time at this bed and breakfast and would highly recommend staying there. I will definitely stay here again the next time I am in France.

  • We had a wonderful stay at the Manoir thanks to Agnès and her husband's warm hospitality. The house is indeed charming and very well located for touring all of the key WWII sites. Agnès' recommendations for touring and dining were all perfect, especially the 2 restaurants in Grandcamp-Maisy. Thanks for a memorable visit.

  • Wonderful visit in Normandy! Agnes was a great host and the location is superb.

  • Agnes was very nice and helpful getting us checked in. We left our bags there and then went out to the Normandy sites. 5-10 min from the Point du Hoc which was amazing! I guess the water heater went out in the room just before we arrived so we stayed down in the living area which was still a private room with a bathroom. Little disappointed we didn't get a regular room. However, the farm you are on is really pretty. It is about a 3 hour drive from charles de gaulle airport.

  • Agnes' house was a centuries old manor. I don't know how many others it could sleep but there were 6 others while we were there. It was beautiful and a wonderful and authentic experience. Breakfast was with all the guests and there were many offerings, all of which were fresh and delicious.

  • A wonderful place to stay in the Normandy countryside. We were very happy staying here and would highly recommend it to anyone looking to stay in an authentic Manoir in Normandy. The building itself has some great history, and our guest room was wonderfully decorated. No air conditioning, but then if you just open the windows the great breezes come through! It was very hot the week we visited, but cooled down considerably at night and the room temperature was very pleasant. Beds were very comfortable, and it was great to wake up in the French countryside and have a delicious breakfast. You are very much out in the country here, but at the same time very close to many of the popular destinations in this area. D-Day beaches are very close (Pont du Hoc is less than 10 minutes' drive), and Bayeux is around 20-25 minutes away. Hope to return soon! PS, try the home-made apple juice or hard cider made by Agnes' son if you have a chance.

  • We had a really nice stay at Agnès great "house". All the family had a big experience in staying in the historic manor. Agnès was a great host, and her breakfast arrangement was in a league of its own. The nearby area is filled with a lot of history, fantastic nature, and a lot of small authentic french villages. No doubt we will be back. thank you

5 minutes walk: Bakery, Grocery and 4 restaurants in our village. The beak andaine: Departure for the foot crossings to Mont St Michel.
  • The host canceled this reservation 27 days before arrival. This is an automated posting.

  • Very sweet studio basement apartment, and host Mariel couldn't have been more helpful. We were only there for one night (and the weather was against us) but I'd love to stay again one day for a bit longer. Perfectly situated for Mont St Michel. Good coffee and breakfast supplied. Très sympa appartement Mariel, merci bien!

  • Mariel is a wonderful host and the flat is conveniently located near to beautiful walks and scenery. We were only there for one night. We recommend other guests phone ahead to reserve dinner at the restaurants - fully booked when we visited so we went slightly out of town to a charming creperie with outdoor terrace.

  • Mariel's studio was really cute! There are all you need for comfortable holidays. Also I would like to note that Mariel helped me and friend to find a really cool guide for walking to Mont-Saint-Michel. She was very friendly when we arrived.)) Unfortunately, we spent not too much time there because we were always walking around Genets which was very lovely French village from which the great view at Mont-Saint-Michel was opened! Well, if you have an opportunity to travel by car it will be easier to come to Mariel's place because, in my case, we didn't have a car it was a little bit difficult to achieve Genets. But despite that all was ok because people in Normandy were very kind and helpful)). We just needed to plan our route more careful!))

  • Mariel was fantastic and kind and the studio was clean, comfortable and beautifully located. Couldn't ask for a better host! I definitely recommend staying here for a wonderfully relaxing and beautiful time.

  • Mariel was welcoming and accommodating, even though we were two hours late checking in. Her studio was the perfect place to stay after our guided hike across the Bay of Mont St. Michel, which departed from just down the road. The kitchen was well stocked with coffee and tea, and if we had wanted to cook everything we would have needed was available. I absolutely recommend staying here!

  • Mariel's place is really awesome! The house is exactly as it is on the pictures. The room was very nice, clean and comfortable. And then there's ofcourse the view of Mont Saint Michel, beautiful! The little town is also very pitoresque. We didn't get to see Mariel unfortunately, but everything was perfectly arranged!

  • the studio is situated in a very kind surrounding with direct view towards mont st. michel. the studio is equiped with everything you need for a pleasant stay. you can reach the nearby town within 5 minutes, including bank, bakery, etc.. mont st. michel is about 35 minutes to go by car. everything looked nice and clean. mariel did everything to make our stay as delightful as possible, altough we didn't meet her in person.

We 're listening to you can spend the best possible stay so do not hesitate ..
  • Rémi was quick to arrive and welcome us to our apartment, showing us where we could locate free places to park. The apartment itself is charming with an incredible view of the harbor. It is small, but has everything a visitor would need. Rémi even provided a local cider and caramels for us as a housewarming gift! Rémi was on time at arrival and departure, even carrying our heavy bags up and down the stairs. You couldn't ask for a better host! He gave excellent recommendations for food and attractions. We loved Honfleur and felt very safe during our stay in this apartment.

  • Great location and beautiful studio flat! Close by to everything and the balcony is an excellent spot to watch the world go by. Very helpful hosts and a friendly atmosphere! We will be back for sure.

  • Remi was an awesome host. He met us at the apartment and was very kind in showing us the area. The apartment was perfect- just as the listing shows, overlooking the harbor and easy to walk wherever you want in Honfleur. Parking is a quick walk away. If you want to visit Honfleur, stay here!

  • Hands down the best room in Honfleur. We sat out on the balcony and had drinks as the sun set over the harbour and everyone bustled below us, then woke up to a stunning pink daybreak as the first boats departed for the day. The room is compact but has everything you need - coffee maker, table, crockery, wifi, easy-to-use sofa bed. We will be back to Honfleur - mainly because of this apartment!

  • My boyfriend and I stayed on night in Remi's place in Honfleur in October. It was lovely - the location is ideal, easy to find and as pictured, looked right out onto the harbor. Great restaurants and shops outside the door. The flat is clean and everything in working order, the bed is a pull-out but was perfectly comfortable. It's great value for Honfleur, I looked at hotels and they were easily double the price with a less great location. Remi was incredibly friendly and flexible when we were running late to arrive, we really appreciated that. Would absolutely stay again if I pay another visit to Honfleur.

  • Cute studio apartment with the BEST view in town! Remi was a great host! So welcoming and helpful to us during our stay.

  • Charlène and Rémi's place was exactly as it's advertised, charming and perfectly located on the water. Rémi was very nice and incredibly helpful. Would stay here a million times over!

  • Honfleur is my favorite place when visiting Europe, and Charlene and Remi's apartment is my preferred place to stay. The apartment is located in the heart of the harbor. It is one of the few places that has a balcony overlooking the water. In addition, Remi is a terrific host - very welcoming and attentive to any need. If we are ever able to return to Honfleur, we will definitely choose Charlene and Remi's apartment again! I very highly recommend it!!!

  • Well what can I say. This is a superb little place. Celine is an amazing lovely woman. And a great host. And her two children are lovely too. I felt very welcome. I had the gite to myself, which was nice. I had picked up some food and wine, so I was very happy sitting in front of the wood burner. There is a tv and wifi, but I never used them. The bed, although a bunk bed,was very comfortable, and the gite, was spotlessly clean too. Beautiful french countryside. Plus fresh walnuts, from their tree. mmmm. It was also lovely having coffee with Celine and the girls, as well as meeting the animals on the farm. Celine and her husband, have worked amazingly hard renovating the house and gite. I found it quite humbling to look at their picture book of all the effort and hard work that they had put in. And at £14 per night. Amazing and fantastic value. I feel so inspired by Celine. Will I stay again? yes! Will I recommend it? Yes!

  • GREAT HOSTS. HôTE FANTASTIQUE (en francais dessous)! TOLLE GASTGEBER! I have had a fantastic, marvellous stay! It was one of the best experieces in a long time (and I travel a lot ;-)). Céline drove 20 minutes to go pick me up, invited for coffee and a carriage ride, let me use their bicycle (even called me when it was starting to get dark and I wasn't there yet), she and her husband told me about the region and France... The house was supertidy, and I even got more then mentioned: a big white towel, a fire in the fireplace that welcomed me, coffee, tea, hot chocolate in the kitchen and even self-made honey!! The region is beautiful, the air is fresh, there cute small villages, coloured trees, a beautiful sunset, their village has a small chateau and beautiful forrests surrounding - and it's only 30 minutes to the sea - by BIKE! I felt so safe, welcomed and had an amazing time!

  • Céline is such a kind, warm and open person! Her gîte is cosy, charming, and best of all CLEAN. We enjoyed sleeping in comfortable beds with warm, soft blankets and fluffy pillows. The electric kettle and coffee maker were life savers! ;) The kitchen is basic but well-stocked with pots and pans, tableware, and sugar/salt/etc. The large bath area has a lovely towel warmer for chilly autumn nights. We loved the large table and benches to spread out on at meal times. Confetti the dog is adorable, the horse is a beautiful, gentle thing, and her entire family is wonderful and welcoming! Céline was always available to help, offering to light our fire nightly before we returned from exploring, and went out of her way to assist when we had trouble with our rental car. Don't hesitate to stay at Céline's gîte, relax in the countryside with the warm Norman people, and take in the rich local history. You won't regret it!

  • Celine helped us out at short notice and we were glad to get to stay at the gite. The location is beautiful and the gite was comfortable, clean and met all our needs. We hope to return one day to explore the area more

  • Céline's cottage is charming and cozy and I would highly recommend it to those traveling in the area. The cottage is clean and well equipped, and very close to the Normandy World War II sites. I wish I could have stayed longer!

  • Celine's place was idyllic, pristine and homely - everything I needed for the end of a long trip. I can't recommend it enough. If you have a car it's the perfect spot, but a little out of the way if you're on foot. It really is only 20 minutes from the ferry port and 15 from a large supermarket. Yet it still has that rural middle-of-nowhere feel. Celine herself was warm and welcoming and gave me everything I needed for a restful night in.

  • We had a great prolonged weekend at Celine's place. It is well-equipped and it was really comfortable for 3 of us. The facilities exaclty meet the decription on the website. All members of Celine's family speak very good English. The accomodation was smooth and nice. There is a lot of privacy there but on the same time all persons were very helpful and supportive in case of any questions. Our son had a lot of fun with the animals and we spent great time exploring the area which is extremely great! Definitely recommend this place.

  • We were a family of 5 on a flying visit before our return to the UK from Cherbourg. The property is fantastic, an easy 20 minute drive for our crossing but a world away! Celine spent ages taking our young children (and us) round to see all the animals which they all loved. Celine then recommended a great restaurant in St Vaast for our evening meal. All in all a relaxed, beautiful and good value stop over to end or holiday in France.

Price includes bed linen and towels for one double bed, as well as end of stay cleaning. Please note: bed settee for 3rd and 4th guests. Lodging accredited by french authorities, insuring quality. Please note: english only by mail.
C'est la nature; plein d'oiseaux; parfois des biches...
  • This place is a piece of heaven- truly beautiful. The gite is extremely quaint with every modern convenience, very comfortable and clean, with a gorgeous bed on the gallery. Michel lent us a bar-b-que and we had a magical evening among the chickens, turkeys and sheep!

  • Michael is a kind guest, his house is warm, clean, peaceful. My family and me should love to stay more.... I suggest it for a relaxing period. Very good the eggs!!

  • Michel was available upon arrival with the keys, and due to our lack of French he had a pre prepared list in English to help us settle in and with relevant information for the surrounding area and the gite. the gite is lovely, and well equipped for our weeks stay. Michel gave us some fresh eggs, and we could feed the hens if we wished. Wonderful area to explore and very peaceful. Nice patio to sit on when the sun shines and a BBQ available also. would encourage anyone to stay in this lovely place

  • Great place to stay and not for just one day. Small, cosy gite in a perfect rural setting. Want to "hear" the silence again? just book this place and experience the absence of noise pollution. Michel doesn't waste to much time on words (especially the English ones ;-) He welcomes you, shows you the gite and wishing you a nice time. Not much more is needed. Dogs allowed. He did not ask for it, but clean up what your dog left behind. And be very careful walking the fields there with your dog unleashed, especially on sundays! A good part of the french people (men, that is) like to go on some good 'ol hunting then. Sounds like the 4th of July for a couple of hours. All part of the game and the "traiteurs" have delicious food the next day. Nice place!

  • It was an amazing week spent at Michel's house. The place is absolutely beautiful and welcoming. It was really hard to say goodbye to the chickens and a turkey that were always happy to see us. Michel is a very friendly person. The place is only half an hour away from Caen. Don't try to enter the postcode into satnavto find it. You need to follow the place that Michel tagged on (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN) maps. Thank you Michel.

  • Our stay at Michel's small house was great. The property was just what we wanted, quiet, secluded and set in the beautiful Normandy countryside. Michel was a lovely host, ready with the keys even though we were late in arriving. The house was very clean and perfect for our stay.

  • We had a great stay. Excellent accomodation. Very peaceful location.

  • My husband, 4-year-old daughter and I had a wonderful time at Michel's cottage. We stayed for four days. My daughter loved feeding the chickens every morning. The cottage is in a remote and quiet area but is conveniently located to many of the Normandy sites - we visited St. Mont Michel (about 1.5 hours from the house) and Normandy D-day beaches (about an hour) as well as more nearby towns. Fantastic trip!

  • The house is spectacularly good. Enjoy the charm of the wooden, Canadian Style lodge and the silent surroundings. Luxury and nature as an ideal combination. Emeric is a great, very helpfull host and speaks excellent english. Highly recommended!

  • A wonderful secluded cabin for a couples or family getaway to relax and unwind in the country, the cabin is well equipped and the chickens & horses are very friendly!

  • Just returned home, after a wonderful weeks stay at Emerics great cabin. This is one of those rare times, when the reality far exceeds what the pictures promise. We were looking for a relaxing vacation, away from everything - and this was just perfect. We had the cabin all to our selves, and had the most relaxing week ever. Pony's grass just next to the house, we had barbecues almost every night, and made mojitos from the fresh mint in the small herb garden. Emeric is a great host. He greeted us upon arrival, and made sure we had everything we needed. We can highly recommend this very relaxing place to anyone!

  • Emeric was a perfect host-so helpful and on the end of the phone throughout our stay. The cabin was beautiful. In a fabulous location and beautifully decorated. It had everything we needed. Our girls loved seeing the ponies everyday and we didn't want to leave! Thank you Emeric for sharing your beautiful home with us.

  • We just spent a week in the 'cabin in the woods' as we called it. Due to traffic on our way, we arrived later then expected and did not have the opportulity to meet Emeric. However, he was always just a phonecall away if needed! If you are looking for a quite holiday, this is just the perfect spot! Surrounded by a nice big garden, next to a forest and a meadow with horses and ponies to keep you company. The cabin itself is fully equiped and a very cosy place. A home far away from home! We'll be back!

  • Wonderful stay here!

  • The house is in a quiet location set within a large lawn - it's really charming! Its built with logs but as all the normal amenities of a modern house inc wifi - but most entertainingly a robot lawn-mower that trundles around a few hours each day keeping the lawn in check - it is not very loud. We let the chickens out each morning and my daughter loved chasing them back into the coop each night.

  • Great place to get away from the crowds! If you live in the city and need a few days away....nice green lawn and right next to a forrest where you can go for long walks. Our children enjoyed it enormously, Keep in mind there are no stores walking distance, it's convenient to arrive with some supplies. It might be of use to ask for GPS coordinates since we got lost; we were told last house on the right, we came right up the opposite street and it turned out to be the first left! Thankyou Emeric for your quick replies, your help and for sharing your lovely cabin, a bientot!

  • We wanted to see the D-Day landing beaches and stay in an Airbnb house. I mistakenly kept going up the coast and found this wonderful house. I booked it and then found out it was 1.5 hours away from St Mere Eglise. But once in the house, it was awesome. Astrid has decorated the house wonderfully, provides TV, games, movies, etc too. It is also located in a wonderful smaller town with everything you want within a 10 m in walk. We stayed in Seillans, Paris and here and we all liked Astrid's house the best. Jerome and Benedicte met us after 11pm (late flight and driving about an hour from Caen airport). They were great to deal with and very friendly. Only downside is the circular stairway: if you have hip, knee, etc problems, it is hard to negotiate the small steps. All in all a awesome place to stay.

  • We had a great time in this charming house in Trouville. The place made us (4 adults, a teenager and 3 smaller children) really feel at home. The interior was very nice done. Our host provided towels, cleaning materials etc. We could even use the beach toys for kids we found in the basement. The house is one minute from the beach and shops, so very convenient. We will definitely be back!

  • We've just come back from staying in this fantastic house a stones throw from the beach. The house is beautifully decorated and has all the modern appliances you will need - a very home from home atmosphere. Astrid is very prompt and efficient with information and Jerome was extremely welcoming on arrival. I stayed here with my two young children (3yrs and 8 months) and had to be vary vigilant as the beautiful stairs leading you up over the 4 floors can cause somewhat of a hazard for a curious toddler and a crawling baby. But other than that, a lovely and highly recommended stay in Trouville-sur-mer.

  • We loved this house!! It is so beautiful, so clean and well cared for, so beautifully decorated and comfortable, wow. We've stayed at AirBNBs for years and all over the world, and this is one of our favorites. The house itself is worth the trip -- but there is also the town and the beach and the food, amazing!! We were a family of four (two teenagers) and fit very comfortably without using the top floor, and we loved how the house had everything we needed, extra towels, laundry soap, so easy. We can't recommend this house more highly -- book it, you will be happy!! :)

  • Astrid, Bénédicte and Lea were very helpfull, attentive and very precise to all our requests. The charming house is very well located and its interior is so lovely decorated. We enjoyed staying there very much and will recommend the house for the family with 2-3 kids .

  • We had a great time. The house is superb, very well equiped and clean. Close to every major attraction. I highly recommend for friends.

  • We are a group of 5 friends, who stayed at Astrid's lovely home for a week. Everything was perfect - from the comprehensive information about the house and things to do in Trouville (emailed beforehand) to the seamless and warm welcome from Jerome, the beautiful well equipped house, and Trouville itself. The location was great. I would recommend Astrid's place without hesitation.

  • Right next to the open (sandy) beach. Excellent location.
