About the room: Very clean and cozy.. private bathroom.. outstanding view at the mountains & the property garden with a big apple tree.. location of the property is great.. 2 minutes walk to the bus station and 15 minutes walk to the mountain trails. The room has a kettle (instant coffee and tea bags are provided), hair dryer, nice wooden table with 2 chairs and several lamps. I couldn't ask for more. About the owner (Nina): Greets you with a big smile and makes sure everything is in order. Nina is very helpful and professional. Communication wise.. I would give her 110% (a very important aspect). Her little kids are friendly and well-behaved.. never heard them yelling nor causing any kind of disturbance. Thank you very much Nina.. you made my stay a very nice one indeed. When we arrived, her son was waving us from the window and Nina herself welcomed us with a very warm hug. From that moment on, we felt like coming back home, not staying in a rent room. Nina was happy to share with us her house which is beautiful and situated in a peaceful village. If one needs a retreat, Nina's house must be an amazing choice. We could see the mountains from the window in the morning. We could even walk to the local primary school to watch the children playing at their breaktime. And very important also, it is only 5 minutes on bus to Zell am see. Last but not least, I want absolutely to come back to Maishofen to see Nina and her children again. They are so warm and kind. I miss my 1-hour playing with Mia, she was soooo sweet. She even gave me one of her own paintings and kissed me on my cheek, which really melt my heart. This is a peaceful, scenic spot close to the lake of Zell am See. Diane was true to her profile, very welcoming and warm. There is a gorgeous view from the balcony of glaciers and mountain pastures. The kitchen was great to cook some nice meals and sit at the table eating and talking. Lots of great activities to do in the area as well.

It is a lovely clean rustic, typically Austrian style home with everything you need. It is a small village and you have off street parking about 15m from your front door. There is a bus stop about 300m away but you really need a car to get around with ease. The pool at -5 to -20°C was understandably not that appealing. However the hot tub with a glass Prosecco at -15°C surrounded by 40cm of snow in the evening was pretty special. This followed by a stint in the sauna in case your feet got cold from running though the snow back to the front door. The hosts are very friendly and you have all the essentials in house. Christine went out of her way to help arrange for a local farmer to help us out when we got stuck in the snow. We found all the people in the area very helpful and friendly. What we missed? - A microwave oven for easily warming up milk, etc. - The chopping knives were a bit blunt which made food preparation a little more difficult General note when visiting Austria in winter: With the extreme temperatures we had diesel freezes. You are better off buying the more expensive diesel which contains more antifreeze, hens you are better prepared for the cold. The same goes for window washing liquid rated at -20°C. We added antifreeze for window washing liquid rated at -60°C.

The house is very spacious, clean and very well equipped for a comfortable stay (including Xmas tree!). Peter welcomed us and gave us tips about the house, where to ski and restaurants. Although the weather wasn’t the best, we had a very good time and skiing was every day possible. Haus Elina is absolutely recommended and we would like to rate it with a 8 to 9 on a scale of 10.

The house is exactly as described and the photos don't give it enough credit. Located in a quieter edge of Saalfelden, it is surrounded by a lovely garden, with a great south-facing patio for the sunny days. There are 4 bedrooms, which were more than spacious for our group of 6 adults and a toddler. Julia and her husband have 4 children, and their home is ideal for those who travel with kids. From the baby cot, to the high-chair, and the toys, they have everything you need to keep your youngster(s) entertained. The fully equipped kitchen is very helpful, and provided also a very cozy sitting space for dinners. Another detail that pops out is the quality and comfort of the beds and pillows; one of those simple things that made us feel like home. The house is a 10-12 min drive away from the vast Skicircus Saalbach-Hinterglemm-Leogang-Fieberbrunn, where we spent our mornings and early afternoons. Sun, snow, long slopes and fast cable cars, provided for an amazing skiing experience. Large Interspar and Merkur supermarkets are only 2-3min drive away. I couldn't reccommend Julia's house enough, and would surely return there in the future.

The location is ideal, Saafelden is a relatively big town and can provide anything one needs. It's also close to some of the best ski resorts of Tirol. Our only complaint was the construction going on across the street, but that was a small price to pay for such a wonderful location. Our children had a blast jumping on the trampoline and swimming at the nearby swimming pool. Sitting outside in the evening and enjoying the mountain view and the sound of the running stream were the highlight of our evenings. We would definitely stay here again and would highly recommend this to anyone traveling to this area.

Das Appartement war sauber, alles, was in der Beschreibung angegeben ist, findet man dort auch so vor, also rundum sehr zufriedenstellend für uns (wir waren zu siebt in dem Appartement). Als Skilehrer kennt er vor allem die umliegenden Skigebiete sehr genau. Wir konnten jederzeit bei ihm anklopfen, und er stand uns immer mit Rat und Tat zur Seite. Die Unterkunft ist sehr geräumig und ruhig gelegen. Mit dem Auto ist man aber in maximal 15 Minuten an der Talstation der Asitzbahn. Es fährt sogar ein Skibus direkt am Haus vorbei. Saalfelden und Leogang sind nur einen Katzensprung entfernt. Wir möchten auch im Sommer gerne wiederkommen.

We really enjoyed our stay in the apartment. We had some challenges in the transportation and the arrival time to the location, but luckily Gabriela was really flexible. She also answered any possible questions without delay. One can expect a room within a kind of hotel, with a concierge to assist with check-in and checkout and a very secure facility.
