  • Had an awesome experience here. Loved the location, the historical look of the building, the cleanliness, the personal touches with the coffee and the snacks. You can’t go wrong here. Will definitely stay here again when we come down this way. One of our best experiences.

  • Jamie’s extra touches and the beautiful home make this a great choice for anyone wanting a great place to stay in this area. Super clean, well appointed, easy check in and within walking distance of several good places for meals. I would definitely stay again if I am ever in this area!

  • Jamie's place was phenominal!!! Everything from the decor to the snacks were A+. Better than a hotel. Its 2 blocks from Bube's Brewery as well. This place is a must if you're staying in mount joy

  • Beautiful suite in a historic home right on Main Street in Mt Joy. Owners have added beautiful touches that make their place very stylish and comfortable. The bed was extremely comfortable and the bathroom is amazing. Perfect location if you want to explore the downtown area!

    David2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • My husband and I chose Jamie’s place because of its location close to where we attended our granddaughter’s sports tournament. It was perfect for two people. Immediately upon entering, you walk up a flight of stairs into a wide hallway with the bedroom suite off of that. There is a comfortable bedroom/sitting area, and a large bathroom with king size shower and amenities. The snack area in the hallway was convenient for early light breakfasts and late nite tea and coffee. The mattress was so comfortable and it was completely quiet at night. Jamie’s correspondence and helpfulness regarding local ideas was wonderful. She even left me cupcakes and a card for my birthday. Oh, and the place is spotless.

    Diane2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • This was a wonderful, little getaway. Absolutely immaculate, and I am a stickler for clean Airbnb’s. Jamie’s place required no pre-cleaning! Great mattress and pillows, you could watch TV (Smart TV) in bed, there was plenty of hot water and water pressure. So many things to love about this space, and I will be back!

  • Sheldon was a wonderful host, the communication was excellent and he made sure I was comfortable and well informed about my stay. I LOVED the jacuzzi tub and watching the ducks from the creek right next to the house from the patio and windows. The space was much larger than I expected. It was very clean, quiet and cozy- I honestly slept so good. I will definitely be returning if I find myself in Elizabethtown in the future. Thanks again Sheldon!

  • We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Ricky's place. We loved how cozy it was and it was a perfect fit for a relaxing get-away. We especially loved the fireplace. We would definitely go back again!

    Andrea2020-02-18T00:00:00Z
  • It was great, with cozy and simple amenities. We loved it and would definitely come back again if we get the chance.

    Jenna2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • What a nice little affordable getaway! Rickys place was just enough, exactly what I was looking for and had a nice large tub to boot! Coming from Harrisburg, we wanted to stay there to access the river trail. Of course it’s mid-February so though we got to the trail it was freezing! It was also a nice middle location between Lancaster which is where we hung out during the day. I hope to rebook in the late spring to take advantage of the trails and local bars!

Although there is not a full "kitchen" the supplies provided (plates, silverware, soap, sponge) make it easy to prepare meals and wash dishes. Lovely fireplace and soaking tub, if you are looking to relax. I will definitely stay again my next time in town!

    Lisa2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • Wonderful stay again at my very favorite place in Marietta. Perfectly appointed, super clean and cozy. Love this place!! Thank you.

    Cindy2020-02-29T00:00:00Z
  • Lesley and her place were both great! She responded back quickly. Her place was beautiful and super clean. The homemade banana Bread, coffee, and menus to near by restaurants were great touches! Would definitely stay again!!

    Jordan2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • We love Lesley's place. It is so cozy and comfortable and it is in the best location to walk to great restaurants. The best was the delicious homemade banana bread! Thank you very much for hosting us again, we hope to be back soon!

    Cindy2020-01-25T00:00:00Z
  • Great and clean stay! The host left out fresh banana bread for us and that was very kind. We loved all of the options to watch on the TV. Definitely don’t recommend for those that have issues with stairs. The spiral staircase is rather tight and steep. It takes you down to the bathroom so not something you could avoid if stairs were a problem for you. We didn’t have any issues, but some would. All and all we really enjoyed the stay.

    Jaycee2020-01-20T00:00:00Z
  • This is a lovely little apartment in Marietta -- which is a cute cute town. Lesley left us some snacks and excellent restaurant (especially breakfast) recommendations. The bed is comfortable and the upstairs gets warm quickly, though the downstairs was pretty cold (in January). The kitchen is well-stocked, though it doesn't have any cooking knives. The apartment is clean and has cute, comfortable decor. Lesley's description of the spiral staircase is accurate; it was definitely an adventure getting down to the bathroom. FYI for light sleepers, there was some noticeable noise outside -- there's a train that honks its horn multiple times per night while going by, and there was traffic noise from the street on Saturday night. We loved staying here and will definitely stay again if we're back in town!

    Mikayla2020-01-13T00:00:00Z
  • Excellent location, beautifully decorated and very clean!!! Lesley was a thoughtful host and I look forward to staying again soon!

    Cindy2019-12-21T00:00:00Z
  • This place was perfect and had absolutely everything you could ever need. Lesley was with communication and even provided snacks and coffee. I am already planning my return.

  • This is my best Airbnb experience ever! Karl and Mark are so kind. My friend had some health issue and they gave us all needed contacts and attention. So thankful about this. Karl is also a master chief, his breakfasts are delicius. Room is comfy and we could easily parked in front of the house. Karl's home is stylish and beautiful. I highly recommend this place and next time if we come back to Lancaster this is the place we will stay again. Thank you for everything!

    Ana2020-01-26T00:00:00Z
  • Karl's bespoke home, bountiful breakfasts and beautiful personality truly set the stage for a wonderful visit! Sparkling clean, with a friendly and accommodating host, a great location and sweet doggos (lookin' at you Henri!)! All the thumbs up and all the stars too!

  • The Senator is an amazing place to stay. We highly recommend it. The breakfast was wonderful and the Christmas decorations were unbelievable!

    Danielle2020-01-05T00:00:00Z
  • This was our 2nd stay at The Senator with hosts Karl and Mark and once again we were thrilled with the accommodations, the hospitality and especially Karl’s magnificent breakfasts. Upon our arrival we were greeted very warmly and presented with a lovely assortment of tasty treats (charcuterie) and a glass of wine, delicious! Karl was kind enough to give us some ideas and directions of a few places to go sightseeing, have some homemade ice cream and a nice meal in an old Irish pub. We love staying at The Senator and we will be back again.

  • You will not be disappointed staying at this beautiful Bed and Breakfast in Mount Joy, Pa! Karl was a wonderful host! He gave us recommendations on a wonderful anniversary dinner! The breakfast each morning was scrumptious! Our stay far exceeded our expectations! We will definitely be coming back!

  • Karl is so nice and what a lovely home to stay in! We had a great stay and enjoyed our breakfast so much! Thanks, Karl! We'll be back when we're in the area!

    Adrienne2019-09-08T00:00:00Z
  • The senator bed and breakfast can't be described in words, and the pictures don't do it justice. Karl and Mark were very gracious hosts adding little extras throughout our stay. The gourmet breakfasts cooked by Karl were outstanding to say the least. This was our first time staying at a b&b and it exceeded our expectations. Can't wait to book another stay at this beautiful mansion.

This is a charming private room above my kitchen. This area of my house was once the summer kitchen but it has a modern take on the rest of my old home. You enter the yard to the kitchen door. Right inside, a flight of stairs takes you up to the room. It has its own thermostat which enables guests to set the temperature how they will. I have two stairways and so this one is for guests only. The shared bathroom is down a hall and I make every attempt to make it feel private.
This room has great northern light and a feeling of being up amongst the trees. People find it relaxing, quiet and say they sleep well.
Our town is traditionally a safe place. Just across the street, through the woods and to the river, Marietta has an 16-mile hiking/biking/walking/running trail . And there are several boat launches in town. Rock climbing is 1/2 mile south and bike, kayak, tube rentals, and guided river trips are available at Chickies Outfitters, in Columbia, 3 miles away. These and more make it an outdoor happening place. Best of all it is a walkable town with many restaurants, a cafe, (menus are in the room) and beautiful houses. Most of the town, including my house, is on the National Historic Register. The National Watch and Clock Museum is located and antique stores abound in Columbia, four miles south. Mt. Joy has the usual assortment of stores: hardware store, grocery, UPS, wine and spirits, etc. Also the Susquehanna Valley Visitor's Center is in Columbia. It has a gazillion pamphlets about all the stuff there is to do around here.
  • Very nice accommodations.

  • Lillians historic home is cozy and quaint. She has thought of everything for her guests. No tv in the room but I never missed it. I hope to make a return trip sometime in the future.

    Donna2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • This is a charming historic home right on the Susquehanna River. Lillian made us feel welcomed and at ease and we had an immediate connection. It was great to relax and feel at home in such a warm space. Easily the best Airbnb we’ve ever stayed in.

    Sharon2019-12-27T00:00:00Z
  • I stayed here for two nights while in the area for a wedding. The loft was conveniently located and perfect for my needs. The space was clean and the bed comfortable. Lillian was a very kind host, and I would certainly recommend this space.

    Joanna2019-12-22T00:00:00Z
  • This was a lovely space - it met our needs entirely. We were comfortable and happy with everything. Highly recommended!

  • Lillian, Fred, and Willow are fantastic!

    Tom2019-12-13T00:00:00Z
  • Though I've many times driven past Marietta, PA, I have never seen this little town from the inside. Lillian's house was a great place to do that. It is one of the old homes along Front Street, just yards away from the Susquehanna River. The house has been charmingly restored, but still keeps wonderful touches to remind visitors of its roots in the past. The entrance is through a side gate into a quaint little garden, which would provide a beautiful setting for relaxation in warmer weather. The loft room is quite comfortable and larger than I expected. The queen bed was comfortable and the blankets very warm. The bathroom is in the hallway just a few feet from room. Although it is shared with Lillian, we experienced no problems at all because of the distance that our host kept as she gave all the privacy we could desire. We recommend this room as a comfortable and convenient place for a couple or single person to stay.

    Michael2019-11-30T00:00:00Z
  • This was such a clean & cozy little room in a charming, historical house. I loved that access to the river trail is directly across the street. Such a nice & peaceful stay.

We were here for a climbing competition in Gretna, so it felt so nice to have such a cozy home to relax in after being outside all day. The hosts were very friendly and helpful with a folder of tips and made everything accessible and easy to locate.

  • Great place. Spotless. Will definitely check out again if coming into the area

    Chad2019-11-22T00:00:00Z
  • What a nice little suite, clean, cozy and had a great kitchen. It is in a peaceful location. We especially enjoyed seeing the Amish neighbor bailing corn bales with 2 teams of horses and another team to pull the full wagons right outside the door. Great hosts too! We will definitely stay again if we are in the area.

  • This place is the best value I’ve ever encountered! It’s a complete apartment with a complete kitchen (including a washer/dryer) with a separate bedroom with a sitting area with a large screen TV (including satellite dish with premium channels)! The place is immaculate and looks new. Paul is very nice, personable and helpful!

This charming room is exceptional. It has a private entrance, is cozy, has a comfortable bed as well as a day bed. There are six restaurants and a cafe within a mile walk through Marietta. This house is in the National Historic Preservation register along with many beautiful old Marietta homes. Lancaster County's Northwest River Trail is just steps from your door. This walking/hiking/running/biking trail follows the Susquehanna River for 16 miles.
The room is about 17' by 17'. It is cozy and comfy. The bathroom is little but has it all. I try to use no scented products for cleaning or washing the bedding and towels. Complimentary water and cups are provided. There is a microwave and the refrigerator has a freezer compartment with ice cube trays. Guests are welcome to come into the garden to spend some time.
There are beautifully maintained historic houses throughout town. The Vesta Museum, which is open Sundays in the summer from 1-3pm, is the place to see if you like learning about early iron making. They also can tell you about the big lumber and canal industries which put Marietta on the map in the 19th century. Tours and private tours of Vesta and the also Town Hall Museum can also be arranged. Contact me for more info. The town is only a little over a mile long and skinny. Easily walkable. Each year the town hosts many events: A Criterion bike race, the Chique's Challenge, (bike, run, kayak race), The Marietta Candlelight Tour of Homes- always the first Sunday in December-and the Community House Fall Garden Tour- spring and fall music fests put on by the town pubs and restaurants, to mention a few. You will be on the Northwest River Trail which heads three miles south to Columbia and 15 miles north to Bainbridge. Bike, kayak, tube, hike, walk, drive, rock climb, along the River, or just sleep and eat while you are here. Town restaurants are out my door and to your right and all within a mile. A number of them have music in the evenings. Check with them for times and nights. Shank's has a dart board. They all participate in the spring Jazz Fest and fall Pub Crawl. There is a list of breakfast restaurants in the room and Heart Cafe is open at 8am every day from Wednesday thru Sunday. The The Rail Road House has a nice Sunday brunch. Shank's Tavern: A place where everybody knows your name and has been operating for 200 years. Excellent burgers and interesting menu. Kid friendly. Not open Saturdays but noon to 6 on Sundays. McCleary's Pub: Irish Pub. Great all the time but I especially like it on rainy days. Has the most seating in town but you should get a reservation for evening meals. Railroad House Inn and Restaurant: Elegant dining and a bar with less expensive fare. Nick's Bistro: Started out as a sports bar and has a multitude of big screen TVs but is quiet during non-big sports times. Has good food. The home-made chips are excellent. Trivia night and other entertainment. Many, many more places to eat in Mt. Joy, Columbia, Wrightsville and all over Lancaster County. There is information about them in the room plus trouts information if you need some suggestions.
  • Thank you for another lovely stay! Your home is a great place at an affordable rate. I love that it is just a hop, skip & a jump over the railroad tracks to the river trail. Walking distance to a great pub for dinner. Super comfy bed! The sound machine is a nice addition. The space is cozy and roomy. I will be back again.

  • As always, we really enjoyed our stay at Lillian's. We highly recommend staying here and hope to be back soon ourselves!

    Daniel & Carolina2020-02-24T00:00:00Z
  • Lillian was a phenomenal host! Her place was quaint and organized, she had a great selection of local spots to check out, and was an outstanding communicator throughout our stay.

    Eli2019-12-31T00:00:00Z
  • My second stay with Lillian, (have stayed in both rooms), and it was a pleasure both times. I'll definitely be back

    Tom2019-12-21T00:00:00Z
  • This was a great, cozy space in a nice little town. There are plenty of options nearby for food, it’s very convenient to lots of amusements and activities. The room was clean, and Lillian was very friendly and had a few toys for my daughter to play with.

    Robin2019-12-08T00:00:00Z
  • Wonderful place to stay. And most important wonderful host.

    Harsh2019-11-15T00:00:00Z
  • Happily surprised with the town. Quaint, quiet. It would be nice to have a breakfast place. Trail runs along the town. Lillian's place is perfect, super comfortable bed. I did hear the train pass often but I was too exhausted or bed was extremely comfortable...I just went back to sleep every time. Highly recommended for a simple, straightforward place.

Front Street Retreat. Join us on the Susquehanna in this creative haven. We are living, working artists and are excited to open this room in our very old home to you! Enjoy privacy with your own entrance, your own bathroom, and a cup of local coffee for your morning walk along the river. In house Massage, Reiki, and Sound sessions available upon request and If you are lucky you might even get a visit with our magical cat, Dusty! Close to Restaurants, Cafes, Rt30 and Rt83
This space is a private room with bathroom attached. It is attached to my "healing studio" but still allows for privacy. We are typically always home but create space for you to sink in to this space as if it were your own. We will completely respect your privacy and with a private entrance and bathroom, it won't be hard. We also offer in house healing sessions including Reiki, Massage, and Sound therapy and even host community meditations and yoga from time to time. We would love to book you for a session during your stay! With access to these sessions, the energy of the Susquehanna river, local bars and restaurants, and quite a few places to hike on our street you will not want for much. We are right off of 30 and have cultivated a lot of culture in this home! We are so looking forward to your energy being a part of it.
Historic Wrightsville is a quiet town. Not much going on around these parts of the river. Right across the bridge there are a lot of antique shops and flea markets. We have one upscale restaurant located right on the river less than a quarter mile away from us and a coffee shop within walking distance. Things are pretty low key here and that is the way we like it. We are located right between York City and Lancaster City making it easy to pop into the hustle and bustle when feeling up to it.
  • Tifani was very friendly. We enjoyed the little extra touches she added to the room. You get exactly what she says in the listing. This place is right near the river and allowed for a beautiful walk.

    Jessica2019-06-17T00:00:00Z
  • Tifani's space was clean, cozy and comfortable and communication was great. Her apt is also within walking distance to John Wright Restaurant and a local honky tonk saloon Burning Bridge Saloon with good food and live music on weekends. I can recommend for anyone visiting the the Wrightsville/Columbia/Marietta area.

    Will2019-02-24T00:00:00Z
  • Tifani’s place was truly a dream to stay at. The decor is beautiful, comfortable, and cozy. The bed and bedding were soft, providing a great place to rejuvenate. Her place is literally across the street from a beautiful river and had convenient parking out front. Their communication was efficient and responsive. We highly recommend Tifani’s place to anyone who is looking for an affordable and relaxing getaway.

The quaint town of Lititz is only a 20 minute drive. Spooky Nook Sports is 8 miles. Plenty of shopping within a 1/2 hour drive. Hiking and biking trails closeby.
  • We stayed for a visit with family. The space is beautiful, incredibly clean, and very comfortable!

    Becky2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • We read the many great reviews about Stan and Deb’s place and they are spot on. Stan and Deb came over and checked to see that we got in ok and were all set. Our kids enjoyed playing outside and we all enjoyed having space indoors and out to spread out after having been in the car and hotels for days. Great value and very clean accommodations.

    Jill2020-03-12T00:00:00Z
  • This place is awesome. We have 3 young girls and they had a blast. They particularly enjoyed watching/petting the goats and chickens. We jumped on the trampoline, spun on the merry-go-round-see-saw (whatever it’s called), watched the fish in the pond, and warmed up to an evening fire in the fire pit. There is plenty of room inside the mother-in-law suite and it is very private. We would love to come back and stay longer!

    Brian2020-02-24T00:00:00Z
  • Very clean & cozy. The fireplace was utilized consistently. The fresh eggs were much appreciated. Stan & Deb were both very helpful, responsive & friendly!

    Jackie2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderful time at Stan and Deb’s place. Our kids specially had a lot of fun both inside and outside. The house is beautiful and cozy and extremely clean. We highly recommend this place!!!

    Marilina2020-02-18T00:00:00Z
  • We read the previous reviews and they were not inaccurate. Stan and Deb’s house was warm and inviting. Stan checked in on us to ensure we had everything we needed. There were fresh eggs in the refrigerator, chickens and goats in the pasture that my 10 year old son throughly enjoyed and it was a truly relaxing time. I would highly recommended staying here.

    Jennifer2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • The bucolic quietude was just what we were looking for. Spacious. Loved the fireplace. A lovely place with lovely hosts. (Note that the channel selection on the Roku TV is mounted rather high on the wall and has a limited channel selection unless you have your own Netflix, Amazon, etc account)

    Christopher2020-02-15T00:00:00Z
  • This place is amaaaaaazing. It was perfect for our family of four. The kids had a great time in the loft area. We loved the kitchen and the bed was very comfortable. The eggs were a great touch. We will be back!

  • We originally booked this spot for our family to stay during one of our daughter’s volleyball tournaments at Spooky Nook. When the tournament got cancelled, we decided to go anyway. It turned out to be an amazing time together as a family and Vals hospitality did not disappoint! Our 3 girls loved being on the farm and partaking in the horseback riding experience. They also helped water and feed the horses each morning and night. We will most definitely make this a regular spot for a weekend respite for our family!

    Amy2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • The guys can't stop talking about how nice it was to stay at the Lancaster, and seeing the horses was special to them! The home was perfect and big!! The generous hospitality and warm welcome is truly appreciated on so many levels. What a gift it has been to stay at the Lancaster!

    ashley2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • This was our second stay at Pleasant Pines and I know it will not be our last. Val has everything you need and is very helpful with local suggestions. It is a beautiful place to stay. My daughters (ages 7-13) love being able to help with some horse related chores.

    Kelly2020-02-22T00:00:00Z
  • We found it so peaceful to look out at the horses every morning and had fun giving them treats one afternoon. Everything was sparkling clean and the kitchen was well stocked for cooking meals every day. There was plenty of room to spread out with the bedroom, kitchen table and living room nook. Really nice to have two bathrooms as well. Thanks again, Val for your warm hospitality!

This old farm house once belonged to the local black smith. While the old forges are still out in the barn the house has been remodeled but still keeps much of charm only seen in older homes. 5 minutes from the Hershey exit for Pennsylvania Turnpike and in the heart of Amish country this home is conveniently located with easy access to the Pennsylvania Renaissance Fair 5 min, Spooky Nook Sports, 12 min, Hershey Park 25 min, Harrisburg Pa 30 min, and Lancaster City 22 min.
They don't make houses like this anymore. This house is built solid, has beautiful original hardwood floors original door hardware, original woodwork, wrap around porch, 9ft ceilings, 8ft windows and a lot of character.
After exiting the turnpike on the way to this house you'll quickly find yourself in the middle of Lancaster county's beautiful farm land and Amish country. It might feel remote when you look at your surroundings but you'll be within a 30 min drive of all the major area attractions with easy access to tons of shopping, dining, outdoor recreation and history.
  • Very clean and spacious in a quiet rural neighborhood.

  • We stayed at Matt’s home for three nights while we attended an event in Lebanon PA. We get tired of hotel stays and decided to try an Air B&B this trip. We all three had clean and comfortable rooms. The bathrooms were clean. Matt gave us a tour of his beautiful historical home which we enjoyed very much. He greates us when we left in the morning as well as in the evening. It was cold and we needed to plug in our diesel truck and he was quick to help us out. We love antiques so seeing the old barn was a real treat for us. It was a very good experience and I will certainly use Air B&B again.

  • Wonderful old home kept up very well. Authentic furniture and decor. Felt like stepping back in time. Bed was comfortable and clean. Host was very accommodating. It is in farm land so you can smell cows outside - city folk be aware :) But inside it's absolutely lovely. Was a great place to stop on our way through. Highly recommend!

  • Lovely space, quiet town. The railroad inn ~ 7 minute drive into town was fantastic.

  • My husband and I had an amazing peaceful weekend at The Bank House! If you like history and or old architecture this is your place. So many nice touches with items from the bank and history tidbits. We will definitely be coming back next time we are down this way. Janet is an amazing host she had all the amenities covered and was very quick to answer any of my questions. If you are going to be in the area you cannot pass this historic house up.

    Amanda2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • The Bank House is a unique place that is also very homey. Has everything you would need for a weekend getaway and plenty around to do

    Elizabeth2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • Janet’s space is absolutely gorgeous! Communication was always quick and very informative. The space has lots of natural light & beautiful touches that honor the original bank and history. Great amenities including a full kitchen & comfy couches to watch tv. The space was also sparkling clean & a very comfortable bed! I would happily stay at The Bank House again!

    Ashley2020-02-10T00:00:00Z
  • What a pleasure to stay in a truly unique property so close to the attractions of Lancaster county! The bank's amenities and ambience were top notch, and the hosts were very accommodating. Worth it for the vault alone; would stay again!

    Kristin2020-01-26T00:00:00Z
  • This is a great space and was a perfect place for my daughter and her bridesmaids to use as a getting ready space. Janet was very accommodating for this unique request and use of the space. The experience will last forever in the photos that were taken.

    Sean2020-01-19T00:00:00Z
  • Unique place close to a few towns. We just wanted something low key to get away for a couple days and this was perfect. Air diffusers were on when we got there which was a nice touch, and it was very clean and safe. The only thing I didn’t like was the stairs, but I’m very unsteady on my feet hahah. All in all a great value for a weekend getaway.

You will enjoy a private entrance to the very large 925 sq. ft. open floor plan of your 3rd floor apartment with lock box. Most of our guests are surprised by the size of the apartment when entering and tell us "this is so much space!" We attempted to capture the spaciousness with a wide-angle lens, but couldn’t. Seeing is believing! Your 3rd floor apartment includes a fully-stocked kitchen: •coffee maker with complimentary coffee, creamer and tea •complimentary pancake mix/syrup •electric stove/oven •refrigerator •dishwasher •microwave •pots/pans/bakeware •place settings for 8 ppl •slow cooker/crock pot •blender, toaster, mixer It also includes spacious living room and dining areas and large bedrooms. A queen air mattress with linens is also available providing sleeping arrangements for 8 guests. We provide a complete towel set (bath & wash cloth) for everyone. Each room is equipped with its own thermostat so temperature can be adjusted for your comfort. All rooms also have darkening blinds for sleeping and complete privacy. Ample well-lit off street parking is available beside the house, near your private entrance.
Our Lancaster County farm neighborhood is very quiet and peaceful, and the brick farm house with the apartment, sits back off the road, along our farm lane across from the rolling Chiques Creek. Guests can explore the historic 19 acre farm (the barn built in 1809 and the brick house built in 1814), enjoy a hike through the wooded trails, a short stroll past the historic mill in front of the house, along the Chiques creek, or just enjoy the tranquility of the babbling stream when sitting in the private front yard. Many of our guests say this feels like a retreat for them, with all the amenities of home. While in a peaceful rural setting, Pleasant Pines Stables is located about 5 miles from major highways, Route 30, Route 283, and Route 23. Two major foodmarkets (Giant and Weis) are within a 4-5 mile access, and Lancaster's oldest Central Market is less than 12 miles from the farm.
  • Val is an amazing, gracious hostess. The accommodations are delightful and the trail ride a lot of fun.

    Maureen2020-03-13T00:00:00Z
  • Val and Jeff were wonderful hosts. Before we got there the communication was timely with check-in, pack and play, and ironing boards. We even booked a horse back ride for our kids. When we got there the place was clean and spacious. Plenty of space for the family. There are two flights of stairs for those who want to avoid stairs. Everything was ready and stocked when we got there...shampoo, towels, bedding, and soaps. The highlight of the trip was the kids feeding the horses and interacting with the dogs on the farm. Val was so patient with my boys and has a teacher's heart when it came to showing us how to care for the horses.

    Andrew2020-03-07T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely place with lots of space. Very clean and my son and i felt very at home. We slept great and it was nice to be able to make food rather than going out for dinner. Great parking too and easy to get to. Really nice host who was very responsive as well. Helped with anything if we needed including restaurant recommendations etc. Would love to come and stay when we are not attending a function and can relax more and see the sites!

    Zach2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • Keysha’s place was exactly what we needed after two long days on the road. The bed was so comfortable that I actually looked at the tags for future reference! We arrived late in the evening but communication was very easy and her family was very welcoming. The suite was absolutely adorable and had all the modern conveniences that you could want. Lastly, unfortunately we were not there long enough to enjoy the porch, it was adorable and added to the overall charm of the house!

Our place is ideal for those who: 1) Need a personal retreat by a rippling creek, 2) Want a quiet, romantic getaway with a loved one, 3) Simply want a location convenient to Lancaster/Hershey/Lebanon/Harrisburg. Do you like coffee and farm fresh eggs? So do we! ...and as long as our chickens are laying, we'll make sure you're stocked with eggs from our very own free-range chickens!
Our beautiful stone home was built circa 1800. We purchased it in 2010, and have been renovating the past 8 years to become what it is today... keeping the historic charm, but modernizing the basics. A couple of things for you to know: ~ There are NO stairs. ~ The deep windowsills and thick stone walls sure are gorgeous, but they can sometimes hinder cell phone reception! ~ Sleep soundly on the queen size bed, and there is also a twin size pull-out sleeper sofa. ~ Love coffee? Same! There is a Keurig for the coffee lovers (but we also provide hot cocoa and tea for the non-coffee connoisseurs). ~ The fuse box is behind locked doors off the guesthouse kitchen. If we lose power (which is rare) and need to access it, we will call/text you before entering your space. ~ While the ceilings are a generous 7' 3" height, the door frames are considerably lower, so watch your heads! ~ This is an exterior daylight basement with your own private entrance. We live upstairs, so you will hear the floors creaking when we walk around, but we are mindful to respect the privacy and noise levels of/for our guests.
We are in rural Lancaster County, but only minutes from the following: ~ Hershey Park - 13 miles ~ Renaissance Faire - 5 miles ~ Spooky Nook Sports Complex - 11 miles ~ Mount Gretna - 6 miles ~ Elizabethtown College - 7 miles ~ Lebanon Valley College - 11 miles ~ Harrisburg Int'l Airport - 17 miles ~ Lancaster - 20 miles ~ Lititz (voted #1 "Coolest Small Town in America") - 13 miles ~ Lebanon Valley Rail Trail - 6 miles

  • Our time at Creekview Inn was truly wonderful! The accommodations were so cozy and clean! The living space and bed are in the main area with a full bathroom and kitchen (equipped with refrigerator, microwave, stove/oven and kitchen essentials) off that space. You have a fireplace to control the temp in the apartment and it doesn’t take long for the room to become nice and toasty! Trish is a wonderful host. She was there to greet us when we arrived. She provided farm fresh eggs, sparkling water, snacks and scones for our enjoyment. She was super responsive to any questions we had and provided some great tips for the local attractions. The sheep on her farm had just had lambs so that was neat to be able to see them when we were touring the grounds. We will definitely recommend and definitely be back!

  • This is a nice, clean, quiet old farm house experience, at a great price! The bed was very comfortable! We are very satisfied with our stay.

  • Top notch people at a top notch place. Very cozy and welcoming... serene, peaceful and relaxing. Much Much better than being shoved in some hotel. Would highly recommend. They are great people and this place will not disappoint... very close to everything! Hershey, Lancaster... everything.

  • Great stay! The place was exactly as described. Very clean and easy to feel at home while we were there. Would definitely recommend for anybody staying in the area.

  • Great place for a family to stay when visiting Lancaster! Clean, comfortable, and spacious. Every detail was thought of which made our stay that much nicer!

    Michelle2019-12-14T00:00:00Z
  • James and Laura's place was extremely clean and comfortable. We had a wonderful time. They are great people. We can't wait to visit again.

    Paul2019-11-27T00:00:00Z
  • The farm house was super clean, great views. Full of little special touches.

    Holley2019-11-10T00:00:00Z
  • Farm living. They have a seamless check in (nothing at all, just a code on the door) which is nice for late night arrivals. There is a pond with ducks and chickens near by. The outside can have a little smell but the inside is perfect. If you ever just want to "get away", this place is perfect. Good for Harrisburg too, we stayed here for a wedding there.

At the Malt Baron Mansion we have a two bedroom Apartment with full a kitchen and bathroom. You will experience history with a modern twist by visiting popular attractions at Bube's Brewery. It was originally founded by Bavarian immigrant, Alois Bube, who established a brewery and the Central House Hotel in 1889. In continuous operation ever since, the establishment is now a microbrewery & restaurant offering guests the very best in ales, casual fare, fine dining and interactive events.
  • We stayed here to ring in the new year with friends - a great place to visit with friends and really close walking distance to places to eat, drink, and have a good time! :)

    Erin2020-01-01T00:00:00Z
  • We loved this rental...soooo very immaculately clean and had everything we needed for an overnight stay! It felt like home!

  • The place is beautiful and quiet, I loved staying here and would recommend to anyone!

    Kaitlyn2019-03-23T00:00:00Z
  • The apartment was SPECTACULAR! A beautiful Victorian style place with a perfect amount of amenities. Great for families, a double date or a group of friends. Our host, Jared, was on the ball and one of the friendliest and helpful people I’ve met. Across the street was the hot spot at Bube’s Brewery — I can vouch for the awesome customer service there also (not to mention a super fun murder mystery dinner!) I’ll make reservations there again for sure. Back to the apartment — The blankets on the beds were oh so comfy, the kitchen was stocked of all the gadgets you need and the bathroom was so clean. I’m looking forward to visiting again - the beautiful front porch is so inviting and I’m excited to experience it in the warmer weather. (I’ll bring an iron next time 😊) It was a little chilly there, but not surprisingly due to the older house and large windows. Totally recommended!

    Liz2019-02-10T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely apartment and lively place across the street. Wonderful stay! We will be back!

    Sherry2018-10-28T00:00:00Z
  • We accidentally booked just after a large group so the mansion wasn’t available to us, but we stayed at the brewery since it’s the same owner and we absolutely loved our stay. It is a wonderful historic location with so many amazing, well thought out, theatrical touches. If you’re into any type of role play it’s an adult playground ... if not it can be a completely kid friendly location. The best of both extremes for us. We were so lucky that the mansion was booked. Thank you for your hospitality!!!

    Laura2018-09-30T00:00:00Z
  • Was a great! stay, right across the street they have Bube's bar that has weekly events. Everything was awesome, and Tom was such a pleasure about anything we wanted or needed. A big thank you for taking such good care of us!

The house has a vintage style, it is clean, illuminated and peaceful. The house is located in a safe and quiet neighborhood, has a lot of green areas around. It is nearby a park. It is 20 minutes away from Lancaster city, 2 hours away from Philadelphia and Washington DC and 3.5 hours from New York City. Feel free to ask any questions you may have. I am willing to give the best of me to make you feel welcome and comfortable .
There are two rooms on the second floor listed with AirB&B, the rooms share a bathroom and the loft area which is set as a social/TV space. The kitchen dinning area can be used by request, coffeemaker and coffee are provided by request. Shoes are not to be worn upstairs. Food and drinks are not permitted upstairs, water is fine. • just like the picture shows. not a bad place at all....upstairs is where i had the 2 double beds. although i didn't use the wifi, the room was great, bed was good (i'm used to a larger bed, but can't be too choosy), and location was just off the highway. Wish the location was near the likes of a grocery store....but nonetheless, Gladys, thanks for the hospitality!

    Neil2020-01-19T00:00:00Z
  • Gladys went above and beyond. I am from the south and wasn’t prepared for the snow while I was staying there. She insisted on loaning me her best jacket. Accommodations were very nice and I enjoyed my time there.

The Senator is a grand, classical old home, built by a 6 term senator from PA in 1905. We have tried to keep the spaces and furnishes elegant and in keeping with the feel of the house. The house has a grand winding staircase, beautiful period chandeliers, and extensive leaded glass panels. Our guests can use any of the public spaces and enjoy the yard and gardens. Breakfast can be served in the breakfast nook or in the formal dining room.
Mt Joy is close to many local attractions, 20 minutes to Hershey Park, 20 minutes to Lancaster, 20 minutes to York, and 30 minutes to Harrisburg area. Just ask about places of local interest.
  • We had a wonderful stay over a long weekend at this beautiful bed and breakfast. Karl was beyond friendly and very helpful with giving us suggestions of some great spots to check out during our stay. The house is beautiful and extremely clean and well-maintained. BONUS: We were treated to breakfast each morning as well as a charcuterie board and delicious wine upon arrival + 2 very cute, well-behaved dogs. If you are going to be in this area- this is must stay!

    Ashley2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • Staying at Karl’s place is an amazing experience. Stop looking at other listings and book it now. Unmatched hospitality, great conversation, and excellent tips for dining and excursions all in a perfectly curated, comfortable, and fascinating home. Karl is such a joy and we really enjoyed talking with him. The meat/cheese/snack platter and welcome wine is unbelievable and quite a nice touch. Karl’s breakfasts are second to none and the breakfast nook is a cozy and fun space to spend a bit of time in the morning. Karl is so friendly and kind—we really enjoyed chatting with him. Everything about the stay is perfect. It’s really so enjoyable and relaxing and Karl is the icing on the cake. Stay here! You will love it!

    Katie2020-01-20T00:00:00Z
  • Absolutely fantastic! A beautiful place in an advantageous location. Karl was an extremely welcoming and attentive host who made us feel right at home. If you’re looking in the area and don’t choose this place, you’re making a huge mistake!

    Matt2020-01-13T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderful stay at Karl and Mark's beautifully decorated home. Being the holidays, the place sparkled with all of their festive Christmas decor. Karl served us outstanding breakfasts as well, in the formal dining room. The old Senator's home (mansion) is a historical treasure. We felt like friends and were treated like special guests both! If you are staying in the area of Mt. Joy, LOOK NO FURTHER!

    Susan2020-01-05T00:00:00Z
  • Everything that everyone else is raving about is true! You simply cannot find a better place to stay in the area! Value, accommodations, location - it has it all! We loved everything about our stay, especially breakfast! Seriously, if you're on the fence at all about booking this place, do it simply because of Karl's breakfasts! You will not be sorry!

    Stephanie2019-09-02T00:00:00Z
  • Karl’s place is wonderful. He’s a great cook! The place is peaceful, clean and beautiful. Looking forward to coming back!

    Claudia2019-08-18T00:00:00Z
  • I’m just in AW still, I don’t know where to begin and where to end because how can I end when there is so many amazing things to say. But, I will try my best. Yes, they are SuperB hosts, but I feel that they should be SuperA hosts and if that’s not a thing then it should be just for them. Between the welcoming, the charcuterie board and drinks offered, I’ve never seen, heard, or ever had better. From all the top notch items, it truly comes from the heart and is made with love which makes it taste that much better. The house itself- the pictures don’t do justice and to be quite honest, this place needs to be in a magazine with all the nooks and crannies to all the interior designing is just fabulous. But enough of that, let me tell you, it’s spotless..... this is coming from someone who is a clean freak, so I know a clean place as soon as I walk into the door. Not only was it clean, but plenty of bath towels are offered to use during the stay and also little cute sized soaps and shampoo for your personal use as well. I mean come on, what a brilliant touch. See what I’m saying, everything is done with love and genuinely caring from the heart. Karl and Mark themselves, they are amazing. Welcoming and kind, two true gentleman. And there two little furry kiddos, I mean gosh, do they sure make it even more homier then it already is. Henri, your BFF as soon as you walk in, and Sandy- the sweet gal that is smart enough to know that if you give her a cookie then she will no longer bark at you. I mean come on, what a smart girl. She will bark at you, but she’s protecting her boys and the castle. So go sandy, as you should girl, being the queen that she is in her thrown. So treat the royalty and treat her with a cookie from the cabinet. Also, I cant believe I forgot (see I told you I could go on FOREVER). But breakfast is provided if you would like, I know some people are on business and don’t want it. But I promise, IT WILL NOT DISAPPOINT. Between the luxurious set up and the taste of the actual breakfast it was just down right amazing. Every breakfast is provided with water, coffee, and juice. Even cream and sugar cubes on the side (I told you, luxurious!) I honestly never want to leave, I’m sad that I had to go. But, I will be back! For them, the pups, the house, the food, the town (which plays music in the park on Sundays - walking distance) and more. I could go on and on, but at the end of all this is YOU NEED TO STAY HERE, cross is off your bucket list - YES IM SERIOUS RIGHT NOW. And for my conclusion, Mark and Karl, henri and sandy; why thank you so much, you turned my trip around and made it once in a life time. I will never forget this and I hope to meet people just as wonderful as you both. As people, hosts, and friends. No one can ever compare to either of you, but I wish to meet more people just like the both of you. (And the fur babies). Thank you, now everyone, book before they are famous and have no more reservations because they are too booked!

    Kelsie2019-08-13T00:00:00Z
  • Everything about this place is wonderful. The hosts, Karl and Mark are friendly and quick to answer any questions you might have. The space is super clean, so many beautiful antiques/pieces of art, and two wonderful dogs. I wasn’t able to enjoy breakfast due to work commitments but I did enjoy the snack and wine I received upon check in. There is plenty of parking and within easy commuting distance to Elizabethtown. This was my first experience using AirBnB and I was so pleased with Karl and Mark’s hospitality I will most certainly be back.

Small Town feel with easy driving access to many local Lancaster destinations. Quiet Setting. Off street parking Spaces. The space is good for one or two couples, business travelers, and families. coffee, tea, and bottled water provided and kitchen is fully equipped for basic needs. I personally painted every wall and refinished every floor to create a bright and clean retreat. Once a carriage house for horses, the upper floor was turned into a living space. The old brick building is set off from the road in a quiet neighborhood. *I have recently added a new Queen Serta mattress and box spring in the second room as well as work desk (not shown in pictures). I also added AC units and blinds to all rooms to add privacy and cooling for the summer.
Within Walking Distance to a Pharmacy and local restaurant. There is a very nice park for kids to play within a short skip.
  • This spot is fantastic! Rented it looking to spend an evening in downtown Lancaster (which is only a 10 minute Uber away) without the hustle and bustle of Lancaster. Everything in the space is sparkling clean, with little extras that make the space feel as if it’s your own home. Looking forward to coming back soon!

The beds are super comfy and there is now a small table booth set up for eating/playing board games There is plenty of room for 4 people who can stand being in the same room together.
