We had a wonderful stay! First, the hosts Steve and Patty make sure you have everything you need and are easily available for any questions during your stay. We enjoyed chatting with Steve on the private beach, which is only a 5 minute stroll from the home. Beach towels and beach chairs are provided along with a beach cart. The house is very charming and comfortable and is very well equipped and clean. We spent every evening on the back deck just enjoying the ambiance and the delicious food we cooked up on the BBQ. The outdoor shower is a huge plus! The neighborhood is VERY friendly and everyone takes the time to give a friendly hello. It is an easy stroll into town and the public beach (about 15 minutes). There is a very large grocery store nearby to stock up. Our only regret is that we only stayed a week. We will definitely be back!

We had a wonderful stay at Steve and Patty's home. The house is in a great, private location with an awesome deck for hanging out at night. Steve and Patty were gracious and helpful hosts. They even left us chocolate chip cookies in the freezer! Highly recommended.

Steve and Patty are wonderful hosts. The house is immaculate and fully equipped with everything you might need to enjoy your stay and just relax. The lit back porch and fire pit make for a relaxing evening after a day in the sun. I forgot to pack a few sunscreen things and was pleasantly surprised to find Patty and Steve had supplied the house with a basket filled with essential for the beach, even a cart to carry all our beach chairs and towels to the beach. They even supplied the house with beach towels. The location is perfect for all kinds of activities. A private beach is only down the road a bit. The neighborhood is lovely and all the neighbors are friendly . The public beach, shopping and dining are only a 5 minute drive or a 15 minute walk. My family and I enjoyed the walk. We enjoyed renting kayaks and the Wednesday night free concert in town. Will most definitely stay there again.

Steve is an excellent host, he was really kind from the very beginning. He gave us very good advice that let us enjoy Onset village pretty much. The house was very clean and well equipped, close to the beach as told. Furthermore, Steve invited us to share a nice sunset at the private beach with the community. I highly recommend Steve's house to spend vacations there.

We had an incredibly memorable, beautiful vacation on this sweet little island. Most days were quiet, relaxing, reading, drawing, playing cards on the front deck while overlooking the bay. We boated to the mainland for daytrips, clammed in the lagoon, and just stared at the gorgeous water that was all around. The island was great for my kids, they could just roam to the playground and make friends without any worry. Like an island neighborhood. The cottage was a sweet little beach cabin, the hosts were incredibly responsive and helpful, always just a text away and Bob was kind enough to meet us quite late and help us get all our things to the island, and returned to show me how to use the boat, which was a lot of fun. One note, the communal beach on the island is small and rocky, so we went to other area beaches for our "beach days," which was fine. Thank you for the memories! Can't wait to return.

Summer Breeze is beyond words of (URL HIDDEN) soon as you step on the island the smell, the view and the breeze overwhelm your senses. Our week on the island was filled with lifelong memories of clamming, crabbing, fishing at night, boating, kayaking ,relaxing on the beach and/or watching beautiful sunsets from the deck. Bob & Margi were amazing hosts, on our first day they met us to get us situated on the island. They even had a care package waiting for us on the island!!!Bob took the time to show my husband how to navigate the boat, while Margi answered any questions I had about the island. They were so kind & were available during the week via phone to answer any questions we may have had but also provided us with the utmost privacy during our stay. The cottage was stocked with all the essentials...all we needed to bring was ourselves, food & swimsuits!!! My family & I loved our stay & will be back next year!!!!Thanks again Bob & Margi!!!!

We had such a great time. It was a magical experience, both the cottage and the island, a step back in time with a great little boat for transport - what's not to love! The cottage is small but perfectly formed, with everything you'd need and more, Bob and Margi were so generous with everything, we had clear instructions for the boat and stuff, and were always on hand if needed. We had lovely neighbours to chat to, a beautiful beach a few steps away to swim in, a tiny island of woodland paths and shoreline, with interesting houses and cabins to explore, and a deck for another living/dining room to watch the spectacular sunset show each night. We tore ourselves away to explore Cape Cod for a couple of days which was something we've always wanted to do, so that was another plus. We saw the characteristic Provincetown for ourselves, tested the warm waters of the infamous sandy beaches, sampled a delicious Box Lunch and spent time watching the seals at Chatham fish dock. Plus a little shopping here and there! We wouldn't hesitate to recommend this to others for an unusual place to stay, just as it is in the photos, and would love to go back someday. Beautiful place, stunning sunsets!

We had such a lovely time in such a lovely island home. We were met by Bob and his wife and they kindly got us a bag of treats for our stay. They showed how to use the boat and gave us a great tour of the island (Bob even sat down and told me about the osprey nests on the island) we loved the house and it was fully equipped with everything that we would need. We loved watching the sunset and got some great photos that will go in our memory book. Our two young children also had a lovely time and they really didn't want to leave. If you are looking for an island adventure this is the place to go and having the mainland close it is easy to pop over for any supplies you might need. We would love to go back next time were visiting the area, thank you for a great island break.

"Want to go on an adventure?" I asked my wife Laura as I spotted the cottage on AirBnB. And yes we booked Bob's and Margi's Onset Island Cottage for our family of 4 for the 1st week of June. And are 100% glad we did. Adults and kids (11 and 14) loved it. Living in a simple, cozy cottage on an island just off Cape Cod on Buzzard's Bay -with a sunny terrace practically on the water and towards marvelous sunsets, in a peaceful, friendly cottage community without fences, with meadows, beaches, 2 osprey nests, clams and oysters - was truly wonderful! And assumably quite a non-standard Cape vacation. Yet at the same time you are geographically within just few miles of actual Cape Cod. We were welcomed by the Whites onto the island with prompt directions & communication + Margi's nice welcome letter and small treats. Bob and his friend Jose assisted us to get onto the island with our luggage. After that we had the outboard engined boat to commute on our own between the mainland and the island, following Bob's instructions on the tide and location of sand bars. As we were to be the very first guests in the cottage, the Whites were extremely helpful and super fast to supply certain extra cooking utensils we felt were good to have in the cottage. Altogether Bob and Margi made sure we had everything ok at the cottage, same time giving total privacy for the vacation. If you are looking for a luxurious party house, this may not exactly be what you are looking for. If you like the sea and nature, are used to using an outboard engine, are not handicapped (moving with the boat and on the island requires good balance), are satisfied with basic (yet well equipped) accommodation and kitchen - this place could be also yours to fall in love with - as we did. The small cottage (we suggest rather max 4 people than 5) has all basic modern equipment, like warm water, water closet, 2 comfortable queen sized beds in 2 separate (yet small) bedrooms, A/C, microwave, refr/freezer, dishwasher, washing machine+drier, gas barbeque, 2 kayaks, TV even WIFI, so actually well equipped. Yet at the same time it is quite modest with charming wear as signs of the periodically harsh sea climate just outside the door. If you are ready to accept and appreciate the setup, the nature and the circumstances, you could be into a beautiful adventure as we were. During the week we also made trips to eg Province Town, Chatham, Martha's Vineyard, New Port, Bristol and Plymouth, which the central location made possible - living at the same time on a small island! So thank you Margi and Bob for letting us rent your special place! I am sure also others with an open mind and respect for beautiful authenticity will find your place an adventure and hopefully take care of it's uniqueness during their stay!

I'm hesitant to post such a raving review for fear of losing out on this gem of a getaway next year, but it would be unfair to do that to Bob & Margie. They were amazing hosts and the place they've created is nothing short of magic. From the moment I stepped on the dock, I was in love with this little cottage... We've stayed in many airbnb's and this was by far the most well equipped, clean and comfortable with amazing views and complete serenity by the sea. We will be back for sure!

Our family of four (boys 11 and 9) just spent an amazing week at Summer Breeze on Onset Island. Our hosts, Bob and Margi are wonderful people and exceptional hosts. We were greeted with welcome goodies to get us started including Pellegrino, creamer, milk, muffins, and even some thoughtful candy for the boys. Bob gave us the lay of the land and a lesson with the outboard motor boat and we were on our way. Bob shared some great local fishing knowledge and both the boys caught a fish the day we went out. The cottage is quaint and cozy and had everything we needed to cook our own meals when we chose too as well as fishing, clamming, kayaking, swimming, etc...I can't oversell how great the location of Summer Breeze is on the island with beautiful westerly sunset views and a continual comforting breeze on the deck or inside through the screened windows or doors. The whole island experience was very relaxing and peaceful. The other local islanders were all very kind and welcoming and the first night we were invited to join everyone in the central playground area for an evening of bingo for the kids to play for candy and the adults to socialize. We were bummed we were missing movie night for the island kids because we were leaving. The kids made use of the playground throughout the week between our many activities and adventures. Onset island is also a great jumping off point for visiting other parts of the Cape as well. We took a quick day trip to Chatham on an iffy weather day that we enjoyed. Onset village, only a quick boat trip to the mainland away, has a quaint main street with some restaurants and shops and a small market that we took advantage a couple times. If you're looking for some quality time with friends or family, adventure mixed with relaxation, and a cozy rustic cottage hosted by wonderful people, this is your place. We look forward to returning soon.

Excellent... you cannot improve the view from the house, a private beach in front, kayaks, fishing... all of that in an island only accessible by boat. We only left the island to buy groceries. Well equipped house, friendly owners. I have a family with 3 kids (including 2 teenagers) and a small dog and all of them had a wonderful vacation (even the dog). You cannot find good places like this with kids and dog in Massachusetts in front of the beach. Just relax and watch the beach. You are also close to mainland (5 minutes in a boat ride, which is also a nice adventure). They provide a boat with a small (easy to use engine) or you can call Charlie, a local kid who provides a boat taxi service for $0.50 per person. Small house but a good distribution with two bedrooms and a sofa-bed in the common area. Nice grill outside. Nice restaurants in mainland (close). If you are looking for peace and views, this is the place. We will return next year.

This is a wonderful place to stay and comfortably fit 4 of us! We loved the beautiful setting, the view from the deck and the 2 second walk to the beach. My husband loved exploring with the kayak provided and we found the cottage clean and with towels and kitchens items available for our use. You do have to take a boat to the island (which is a very short trip) and there are only cottages on this island. We loved that aspect of it. A great place for our family!!

We are so hesitant to write such raving reviews about these cottages because we don't want others to steal our vacation spot for next year, but it wouldn't be fair to the owners. If you're looking for a serene, tranquil, beautiful setting with honest, down to earth, giving and wonderful giving welcoming community, this is the place. Ryan's cottage is located right on the beach and fabulous fishing off the point. The cottage itself is compact and perfectly suited to the family of 4 that stayed there. We couldn't have asked for a more perfect setting for our quiet family retreat. Our hearts are full and the memories will last until next year when we come back.

This property was beachfront and provided gorgeous sunsets every night. The island offered seclusion and a chance to disconnect but just across the bay had all the amentities anyone might need. The quaint and cozy cottage was a perfect fit for five plus dog. It had everything we wanted and we thoroughly enjoyed it. Host Ryan was always nearby and helpful. Traveling by boat to the island was not convenient but added to the adventure! This was definitely a unique experience and one we won't forget. Earlier reviews were spot on. My children loved, loved, loved this island. They immediately shed their shoes and ran playing tag and other games with the local kids. They went crabbing for hours. I had trouble convincing them to leave at the end of our week. I didn't want to leave either! Chocolates and fresh flowers were waiting for us when we arrived. The views are unbelievable. The best part of this unique place is the friendly and warm community the island fosters. This is not the most convenient or luxurious location. If those are your top priorities look elsewhere. But if you love sand, water, friendly people, and ocean breezes you won't find anywhere better.

This was a great rental!! It has its own private beach which you can walk right to out the back door, as well as fenced in beach, which was awesome. Benjamin was a great host, really responsive to any of our requests, but also giving us total privacy. The house was very recently remodeled (including central AC), and was perfect for our two year old twins. Highly recommended!

What a fantastic find! We had to book a last minute space on the Cape near other family members staying in Buzzards Bay. We lucked into Buds and loved every minute of our stay. The pictures don't do the place justice, and the description may be light on details, but if you are looking for a clean, well appointed traditional beach house you have found heaven. The highlight of our trip was the the ice cream truck! The kids were thrilled when it came right by us on the way to the beach at the end of the street, where we enjoyed a perfect sunset!

This was a wonderful little cottage in a great location. My family and I really enjoyed our time there, and would like to stay there again if given the opportunity. Hosts are very friendly and so are the neighbors. We felt welcomed by all.

A very cute house, loved the way they had everything in the house themed around sea and beach, made us feel we were on a boat.

Very tidy little cottage with all you really need. 2 comfy beds, well equiped kitchen. About a 5 minute walk to the beach and so many other things to see and do. We loved exploring the Cape, riding bikes on the Canal trail, having ice cream at Nana's, having a Bloody Mary at the Quahog Republic and our highlight was renting a powerboat from Stonebridge Marina to tool around the coves and bays for a day. Just a gorgeous week.

Had a fantastic stay at Joni's house. No issues whatsoever, and the house was even more charming in person. Absolutely would recommend to other travelers!!

The listing was very accurately listed and was clean, centrally located, to some great restaurants, shops, and beach spots. Joni is very sweet and was a pleasure to work with while booking and staying there. The neighbors are very nice and helpful and I would recommend this house to anybody!

I greatly enjoyed the stay at Joni's 3-bedroom/2 bath home in Onset. The house was very clean when we arrived, and it is just as adorable as her photos suggest. The house came with pretty much everything we needed for the weekend. Pots, pans, knives, coffee maker (and coffee grinder!) - we didn't need to bring anything but our food. We really appreciated the TV (with HDMI ports) and DVD player since we had a rainy day. And, if you need any more convincing: the hot water heater works extremely well, and there's a jacuzzi bathtub.

We are a family from Austria and have spent a great week at Jonis house. It is clean, spacious and very well equipped. It is cosy and very nicely decorated. We have really enjoyed being there. It is ideally located for various excursions to Plymouth, Cape Cod, Boston, Martha's Vineyard and Newport as well as in the beautiful neighborhood. A cruise on the Cape Cod Canal is recommendable. Every possible equipment is there also to enjoy a barbecue grill. Neighbor Carl is very friendly and most helpful. A great place to relax and explore Massachusetts.

We stayed with a group of 4 couples. It was a fantastic beach house and just what we were looking for. It was a short walk to the beach and several minute walk into town. They have nice shops and great food. The house was very clean and Dawn was amazingly responsive with us our whole stay. Every guest had nothing but great things to say about the house, beaches and the town. Would stay here again.

Rented out this place for a fun summer beach weekend with friends. This place is exactly what we were hoping it would be. Just a couple minute walk to a nice beach that isn't open to the public. Plenty of space for all of us during the weekend and even friends who came to hang out and visit during the day on Saturday. Cooked giant family style meals in the kitchen and on the grill with no issues. Nice neighborhood, other groups were out on their porches but weren't to loud. We were worried about being too loud ourselves because the houses are very close too each other but the immediate neighbors seem to be very chill! I was also worried about parking but we were able to fit 5 cars in front of the house (tight squeeze) and anyone else could usually find a spot in front of a house around the neighborhood. Location is amazing because you don't have to worry about dealing with the bridge traffic! Dawn communication was wonderful as well, only had a couple questions and she got right back to me. Overall 10/10 would stay again.

This is a great spot for a weekend getaway. Close to the beach and a quaint town with restaurants and nightlife. Also, driving distance to some touristy areas if you get rained out for a beach day!!

Our family stayed at Dawn's fantastic beach house last weekend. There was ample space for everyone, and the outside porch and deck were an added plus. The house itself is only a few steps from a private beach and the town is a 5minute walk. It's a perfect place for a getaway on the Cape. Would highly recommend it.

The place is comfortable and had all the basic amenities for a family or a group of 8. Neighborhood is quite and very close to the beach. Accessible to a lot of great restaurants for a family treat. Definitely, a great place to spend quality time with family.

Perfect place to live for families and small group of friends that do not mind to live in a quiet nabourhood. Dawn is a lovely lady that respons quickly on any contact. The place is not on Cape Cod, but you are not too far away if you have access to a car. The house as a beautiful summer cabin. Perfect place for a city escape.

The only issue we ran into was getting the lockbox to open. We arrived very late on Saturday night (technically Sunday morning) after a very long drive from Pennsylvania. The house was perfect for what we needed. We didn't spend much time actually at the house but did walk down to the beach area and water. The whole area felt welcoming. It is easy to tell how popular that area would be in the summer / warmer weather. Overall, a great first trip to Boston and Cape Cod. We will be planning another soon I hope.

We spent a great time at Rick's beautiful cottage. It's a marvelous site directly at the Ocean with private beach and private dock. On the deck we enjoyed breathtaking sunsets each night. The house and kitchen is very well equipped and gives comfortable living for up to six persons. We hope to come back soon...

If a quiet oasis of calm is what you need, then this house is the answer. Light, airy and very comfortable. Our family loved our 5 day break here, it was the perfect place to rest and enjoy the best of Cape Cod. Beachcombing, swimming and beautiful sunsets from our own dock. Heaven. Our host Rick met us on arrival and helped us to row our huge piles of luggage (we were travelling internationally) over to the island and settled us in. He was very kind and helpful. The house itself is newly renovated and very pretty with comfortable beds and a wonderful outdoor shower. A quick row takes you over to the nearest town and all the amenities you could need. An amazing holiday, thank you.

I've been staying here since before airbnb existed. It's always been a very comfortable home away from home. Point Independence is an open and welcoming place. After coming here for so many summers, we've gotten to know many of the neighbors. We love it here! And Marlissa and her family are wonderful!

The house is larger than we expected. It has a large upstairs area with second living room, bedroom and bath. Perfect for kids. It could easily fit two families and offer a lot of privacy. Very quiet laid back town. Beach is a just around the corner.

Benjamin was awesome and very responsive with all pretrip arrangements. He met us the first night and took care of our requests immediately. Very friendly and he got to meet my family and us his. Location is 2 minute walk to Sandy Beach and 10 minute walk to Onset Village. We hope to have another stay with Benjamin.

Wonderful private location. Great for young children. Our grandkids loved the beach. The screened in porch was lovely for eating and relaxing. Short easy walk into town.

Ben's place is on a quiet, safe street up the block from a very clean and very friendly beach that is also a very private beach. The house is spacious, well-kept, and clean and the decor was cozy and inviting. All amenities we needed were there for us including a full kitchen and a washroom on both floors. The air conditioning (very important to us) cooled the whole house on hot s. The fact that there was a working washer and dryer in the house - no need to send laundry out or find a laundromat - was a huge convenience for us as a family of 7. To top it off, Ben was available for any questions we might have had. We were very pleased with our stay.

Great location, and exactly what we were looking for. Went down for a short work retreat with a few co-workers. We were able to sleep in comfortable rooms, get work done, walk/drive to great restaurants and views, and cook. Ben was a great communicator, and he was very flexible with our needs.

We had a great time at the beach house in Onset. The community was so nice with shops and restaurants. We were able to walk to meals and to the beach. My kids enjoyed being the only ones on the private beach. The house was clean and quiet and with a beautiful view of the water. Jude was responsive and available each time we contacted her. We had a lovely couple of days lazing on Onset Beach. Chris (Janiene's son) greeted us and made us feel very welcome - thank you! The house was well equipped and had some nice touches. The property is very close to the beach, which was ideal, and we had an excellent lunch at Stash's nearby. We were lucky enough to have sunny weather. As there is no aircon, we kept the doors and windows open while we were in the property, which kept it reasonably cool.

A quaint house near Onset Beach. Janiene was lovely and met us on arrival and checkout. You can see she has really put time into the house. The beach near by was calm and there were lots of crabs when we were there in July. Not the best beach but was fine for the kids to dig.

This cottage was a delight! A very nice home, for a minute we thought it was our own place! Everything was charming, very well distributed, easy access to all rooms, great entertaining flow, and so close to Onset Village and its beach. We had a truly wonderful weekend and we look forward to come back!

Janiene's home is charming and immaculate! It is on a small street with nice neighbors and within walking distance to a beach and cute little town. We took a drive of about 20 minutes to beautiful Hyannis, hiked nearby, and had no shortage of restaurants and shopping. We bbq'd in the small private yard and played games in her spacious kitchen. Janiene was easy to communicate with and right on time for check-in and out. I recommend this home for an inexpensive Cape Cod getaway.

Janiene's cottage was a cute beach house, only steps from a smaller beach. We decided to walk the short distance over the bridge to visit onset beach which was beautiful. The house was decorated nicely, to give the "beach house" feel, and everyone commented how much they enjoyed the home. Although there was not any air-conditioning, we left the windows and doors open to keep the house cool. We definitely enjoyed our stay at Janiene's cottage, and look forward to booking with her again in the future!

Our stay at the onset cottage was very nice. The cottage was easy to find. It was well decorated and had all ameneties. Janiene was very friendly and accomodating. She waited for us to come when we were struck in traffic on the day we arrived. Overall we were satisfied with our stay at the onset beach cottage. 28th-30th Aug 2015.

We had a great time, the house was perfect! Walking distance to the beach and downtown, easy to find and parking was not an issue! Big kitchen table, perfect for larger groups!

Lovely place for a relaxing weekend with friends.

This is a great location and plenty of beds for a group of people. It's not the most high-end or luxurious place, but it's comfortable and convenient. We enjoyed our stay and the TurnKey folks were great to work with.

House is in a fantastic location, beach is across the street and the view from upstairs is great. There was also a nice grill that we were able to use and we grilled most of our food. Would definitely go back!

We had a really great night at a perfect spot! Maria's home is lovely. It has stunning views and we had a perfect sunset. I wish we could have spent much more time. Five stars because it's a very nice home with owners who "care" and absolutely stunning views.
