Great studio space with separate entrance, plus separate driveway, private patio with use of fire pit. Kitchenette comes with fridge, microwave, toaster, kettle, electric frying pan and dishes. There is no cook top. Coffee and tea is complimentary! Every thing that you need to make your stay memorable! Located close to fitness trails, public beach, and the downtown. Great for couples or the business traveler.
  • My second time back! Highly recommend!

  • Easy check-in. Clean, warm and cozy spot. Perfect for one or two people. The trains are definitely super close, and you hear them frequently, but I actually loved the sound. It’s a nice private space. Great parking. Well appointed. If you’re planning on making your own food, appliances are limited (ie. no stove or toaster oven), but with some creative grocery shopping I was able to nourish myself all weekend long. I’m sure there are local restaurants too if you prefer to eat out, though I didn’t find that necessary. I would definitely stay here again.

  • Highly recommend! Grace has thought of everything you could possibly need, and more i.e. ear plugs, shoe horn, extra towels, selection of teas, cream and milk in the fridge etc!

  • Such a great find! Daniel’s Bunkie is a wonderful spot for a weekend getaway – feels secluded despite being close to downtown. It’s perched right on the water and is totally peaceful. Great views, very comfortable (the space is exactly as advertised) and well equipped. Daniel obviously loves treating his guests well – the roaring fire, fresh fruit, chocolates and good coffee…it was all appreciated. He definitely deserves the Superhost status!

    Sean2019-11-17T00:00:00Z
  • Daniel’s place is absolutely wonderful! The location is stunning ! We went up for a cold fall/winter getaway and spent the whole weekend indoors admiring the scenery around us , you really cant beat the location and the view of the lake and the trees. Daniel was an incredible host and very thoughtful to constantly go out of his way for his guests . Would highly recommend this spot , fantastic little romantic getaway in this cabin that provided you with everything that you needed . Looking forward to coming back again

    Natalia2019-11-11T00:00:00Z
  • Daniel’s place is so great! Super cozy for a fall stay and had everything we needed. We loved the outdoor shower and the views of the lake, and Daniel provided everything we needed for a great stay. He truly went above and beyond as a host and the place itself was everything we wanted. Would definitely stay here again!

  • Had an amazing stay. Great for some quality quiet time whether it be around the fire, on the fishing boat, or in the most comfortable bed I've ever in!

    Nathan2019-10-14T00:00:00Z
  • A beautiful place in the woods. Daniel was a kind host who went out of his way to make sure that we had everything that we needed. We had a lot of fun. This space is perfect for a friends getaway, or a cute couple getaway.

    MegAndy2019-10-06T00:00:00Z
  • The weather was overcast and cool but my bunkie was perfect. Well appointed, to even being luxurious; great bed, down duvet, chocolate mints at my bedstand and fresh fruit on the kitchen table (felt pampered). Never stayed at a bunkie before but this place probably sets the bar for accommodations. Also very, very, clean which immediately makes you very comfortable. Would definitely recommend Daniel's bunkie.

  • Rae’s place is a perfect spot for a cozy winter getaway! We stayed there with our dog, and Rae was very accommodating. She had excellent communication, with easy check-in. It’s a comfortable place to lay your head after some winter activities. Great value!

  • Fantastic hosts. Rae, and Mike host a beautiful, clean and very appointed studio Apt.

    John2019-11-21T00:00:00Z
  • I had thought only to stay just anywhere in order to save a long commute, but ended up having a lovely evening in a beautiful little suite - spotlessly clean, with all the amenities (including a full-sized fridge and a fireplace), and within walking distance of the town centre. The warm welcome from Rae and Mike made me feel right at home. Check-in was a breeze. I don't know what I enjoyed most - the evening walk and then gorging myself on Netflix after a long work day, or the excellent morning coffee made in-suite after a shower in the beautiful bathroom. Thank you so much for your hospitality.

  • We needed a spot for 1 night between Toronto and Sault Saint Marie and this worked out great. The tourist boat in town - The Island Queen - was a nice way to see Perry Sound. We did the morning cruise but I think the afternoon might offer even better scenery. The place was clean which is what I always care most about.

Built into a forested hill beside a river, with a sleeping loft and in-floor radiant heating in a granite flagstone floor, a kitchenette and a three piece washroom, the studio is the perfect place to relax, rejuvenate or retreat into creative work.
Whispering River Studio Retreat is just 10 minutes from Parry Sound and located in a woods of old growth white pine, maple, oak and birch, on the banks of the Seguin River. In spring the scent of flowering crab and apple trees, wild roses, lilacs and pin cherries fill the air. Fall features gorgeous colour on the hills, and nearby hikes feature views of the rocks and cliffs that make this area famous throughout September, October, November and early December. Winter is beautiful too - the season of retreat and rejuvenation is filled with pristine vistas - and lots of snow for the dedicated snowshoe-er or cross country skier! Georgian Nordic X-country ski trails are only 15 minutes away, and can be used in the summer for hiking as well. If you want to enjoy a community Christmas, come and experience the many, many local activities centered around this warm and friendly time of year. You are welcome to relax in the loft, the house's screened in porch, or on the studio porch or the look out and enjoy the gentle whisper of the river, or the wind in the pines. A short walk by the river is beloved by most guests - especially in the mornings when the mist often streams of the water. There is a Heintzman upright grand piano in good condition the house that you are welcome to use. My baby grand in a nearby gallery is also available for rehearsals, workshops and concerts upon arrangement. During the summer the Festival of the Sound at the Stocky Center is home to an International Classical Music Festival. String Quartets, classical and contemporary concert music artists grace the stage, and provide unparalleled musical inspiration for people drawn from all over the world. I have a propane gas stove, washer and dryer, and will provide you with bedding. There is also a BBQ available for use if you want to cook outside. The Seguin River flows swiftly to Mountain Basin Lake - a short 15 minute paddle from the house. You can take trips in either direction. There is excellent canoeing ( although in late August and September the water is very low - but it is still well worth doing the two or three lift-over through shallows), hiking, cross- country skiing, snowshoeing, fishing and hunting nearby. Deer Run Golf Course, a beautiful informal course with a waterfall in its backyard, is just across the road.
Parry Sound is a thriving town. Boat tours, a major classical music festival, and a wide variety of summer and winter sports are centered here. Tours, hikes, skiing, snowshoeing, canoeing, kayaking, sailing and water sports, and scenic drives are part of everyday activities for guests in this area. The rugged beauty of Georgian Bay is close at hand, and Canadian Shield country lakes and rivers are here to explore. There is Nordic skiing in the winter, and lots of great winter activities. It truly is a place for all seasons!
  • I spent three nights at the Whispering River working on a writing project. The space is tranquil, open, and inspiring and I was able to get some really great work done while there. During my breaks I went on walks along the river with my dog Humber and Brenda recommended some excellent trails/Provincial Parks nearby for some more long-distance mid-day walk. My dog Humber was equally pleased by those! Overall it was a great experience and lovely space and I definitely would recommend it to folks - and I hope to book again some time in the future.

  • Amazing place, Brenda is an amazing host as well. We came down from our apartment expecting a nice quiet time and even though we had some weather and car troubles, Brenda went out of her way to help us get to her location and get safely home. I’ve never experienced such top in class hospitality and I would recommend this place to anyone. Not just for the views but for the fact that you will experience an amazingly personalized time.

    Daniel2020-02-15T00:00:00Z
  • Such a beautiful, peaceful setting. There are many things to do around the area (and Brenda can tell you about them all!) or you can just enjoy the quiet forest and watch the river flow. The Studio is a lovely space, and cozy in the winter. The heated floors are fantastic! Hopefully I can return another time and experience a different season.

This cottage is situated on 34 Acres of complete privacy only a short walk to downtown Parry Sound. The property amasses two lakes, one completely private. You can walk to Sobeys in 5 minutes. Or head on downtown to enjoy all the town has to offer. Close to beaches, summer sport rentals, biking and hiking trails and much much more.
Less than two hours drive north of Greater Toronto, Parry Sound is a popular getaway region offering plenty of outdoor activities. While snowmobiling, dogsledding and ice fishing are popular in the winter, the area is most visited in the summer, more than doubling the town's population. Overlooking the 30,000 Islands region of the Georgian Bay, Parry Sound is not only revered for its scenic beauty, but also for its water activities that include sailing, cruising, canoeing, kayaking and fishing for the sometimes huge musky. Even underwater the region has its its own remarkable assets. The local waters are a small graveyard of sunken ships, creating ideal scuba diving opportunities. Also popular is the Festival of the Sound, a series of classical voice and instrumental concerts, which occurs at the end of July. A popular region for centuries, Parry Sound has a rich history to explore that includes Ojibway Indian settlements and pioneer homesteads. This three bedroom cottage can accommodate up to 6 people comfortably. Two bedrooms have queen beds and the other bedroom has a king bed. All bedding is included, kitchen is fully equipped and there is a laundry room
  • Lorri's cottage was the perfect getaway! The cottage itself has everything you could need with the most comfortable beds and couches. The water front is gorgeous and very private. The location cannot be beat. The walk into town is about 5 minutes while the cottage itself feels like its in the middle of nowhere. Highly recommend this cottage and are looking forward to returning.

    Emily2019-08-23T00:00:00Z
  • The location of this cottage retreat is excellent. It is nestled in a very private wooded property next to two lakes. The grounds are well kept. There is a small beach next to the dock on the north end of the larger lake. The cottage is very comfortable - beds are fantastic - and its location is close to (within 10 minutes) of a retail centre that offers Canadian Tire, Sobeys, Tim Hortons and Starbucks (amongst other convenient retail/services). The hosts (Lorri and Blair) were wonderful - easy to contact and promote to reply. They went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable and attended to questions that came up. We are looking forward to attending there again next year.

    Frank2019-08-16T00:00:00Z

Mrs. T.'s BnB was the set for two full length movies! The home was built in 1880 but in 1906, when the trains came to Parry Sound, it was set on logs and pulled by horses down the hill to its present location. William Beatty, son of the founder of Parry Sound, William Beatty, was its first owner. A picture of our home hangs in the Parry Sound Museum. There have only been four families live in the house since 1880. Each of the three guest rooms is named after one of the three previous families. There are three bedrooms for rent with occupancy of 2 per room. The rooms are on the second floor, beautifully appointed and clean. Beatty Suite has an en-suite bathroom and the two other rooms share one updated three piece bathroom on the second floor. There is also a three piece washroom with shower on the first floor for guest use. The Beatty Suite (queen bed) also has a fireplace and two couches, one in the small sitting area and a new pull out sofa bed in the adjoining sun room. The Sweeney Room (queen bed, second largest room) is beside the washroom and opens onto a beautiful new deck overlooking the gardens. The Wheatley Suite (smallest room, double bed)also opens onto the deck as above. The attic (when whole house is rented) has a playroom with two smaller beds, and a double bed in a small separate room. These accommodations are all lovingly restored and decorated. Bedding is high quality with ironed sheets. There are serviceable closets and dressers, and a tv, air-conditioning and internet in each room. Each floor meets fire safety requirements with smoke and carbon monoxide detector. The woodwork of the staircase, second floor hall and doors are original to the house. There is a wood-burning fireplace in the more formal parlour or living room (antique rosewood couch and chairs, four stained glass windows) and another in the dining room which keep the rooms cozy in cooler weather. Both fires will be set on cool mornings at breakfast times. The walnut dining room table can seat twelve. The chandelier adds sparkle to the silver tea set. An gas fireplace warms up the family room where we can be found in the evenings. The kitchen is updated and has a large microwave, fridge and new stove. Breakfast is included in the price of the room. Please let us know of any allergies or dietary concerns. Mrs. T. will have an assortment of fresh fruit, breads and muffins, eggs, bacon and or sausages, cereals, yogurts and toast /jam/honey/peanut butter. On alternate days, she serves up pancakes and the extras. Coffees, teas and a variety of juices will also be on offer. Third floor has coffee maker, tea kettle, mini-fridge and microwave for your use. Breakfast is usually set for 8:30. In her capacity as an associate mediator, Mrs. T. has been hired to work on Wednesdays at the courthouse for 10:00 in the FLIC office as the IRC. Grounds include front yard facing the street, side yard with yard swing, first back yard leading to another back yard. On the grounds you will find perennial beds, vegetable beds, fire pit, water feature, large Victorian bird bath, screened gazebo with comfortable seating, café tables, octagonal picnic table, two lawn swings (one for snoozing!), and Muskoka chairs for gatherings. Birds, squirrels and chipmunks enjoy the seeds left in the two bird feeders. Sunsets over the Sound are spectacular and can be viewed from the wicker chairs or dining area on the front wrap-around porch. The grounds are lit with solar lights and are very pretty at night. Our home is located within walking distance of major attractions in Parry Sound (the harbour, two beaches, fitness trail, Stockey Center for the Performing Arts, tour boats). Barnaby, our little dog (Papillon) is friendly, well-behaved and quiet and does not interact with guests unless invited. In consideration of other guests, no children under twelve unless you are renting the whole house. Rooms in attic then also available. Children twelve and older are welcome at all other times.
Mrs. T.s B. and B. is situated close to the two town beaches. Friendly neighbors own well maintained spacious homes and lots. Parry Sound is a train town with two main lines: you will hear the trains rumble but usually no whistle blows near our bnb. The street can be busy at times with folks accessing the two beaches.

  • This was hands down one of the best places I’ve stayed at. A true Bed and Breakfast experience. Sandra’s hospitality was outstanding and the breakfast she prepared for myself and all the other guests blew me away! The house is beautiful as well - it’s an excellent location steps away from downtown. I’ll definitely be coming back next time I’m in town.

Our cottage is on Georgian Bay located 5 minutes north of Parry Sound. It is known as having "a million dollar view" of the bay. Enjoy the view or explore everything Parry Sound has to offer. This cottage is in a very quiet area and therefore it is not for loud partiers. The waterfront is rocky but the swimming is lovely. If you prefer sandy beaches there are 2 that are within a close drive. This cottage is comfortable for a couple or a small family.
The driveway is quite steep to drive in and out of. The grass at this time of year is not mowed due to all the rain we have had.
This is a quiet neighbourhood and therefore we do not want any loud parties during your stay.
  • Amy’s cottage is amazing! Cute and clean with all of the amenities we needed for our weekend away. It is located in a beautiful place, right on the shore of the Georgian Bay. Easy to find and just minutes off the highway. There were chairs on the wraparound porch, large windows to view the water from in the cottage, as well as chairs and a table and a fire pit right on the edge of the water. The water was calm and kayaking was a wonderful way to spend our time there. My husband caught a large rainbow trout fishing right off the shore, as well as many other species out in the bay. The sunset from the cottage was spectacular and I would love to visit Amy’s cottage again.

    Julie2019-09-29T00:00:00Z
  • Amy went above and beyond and made sure we had an amazing time. She replied within minutes and answered all of our questions. She provided everything we could possibly need to make our stay as comfortable as possible including basic cooking supplies, dining utensils, paper towels, tissues, garbage bags, bed linens, pillows, a kayak, and paddle. The water may be cold for some but we really enjoyed swimming and using the kayak she provided during our stay. Except for the few steps into the cottage and down into the water, the entire cottage is quite accessible (the entire cottage is one level and the shower is a step in shower). One of our guests had accessibility needs so we definitely appreciated this! We definitely recommend staying here.

  • My stay was very comfortable in the little cabin. Everything was exactly as advertised, and you can’t get any better than that. Friendly, clean, welcoming and comfortable would be my take away. I will certainly be back. Thank you Lee-Ann

  • This is a great place for dog lovers. They have their own dog, Charlie, and it looks like they actively welcome others if you ask in advance. They're not kidding about the train noise in the cabin. Even if you're fine with traffic etc, put your earplugs in before going to bed (they supply a pair in case you don't own any). Once they're in, you're fine of course. If you need the loo in the night, bring a torch so you can work the keypad.

  • What a special place for a few days to relax. It's a tiny Cottage but you will find everything that you need and more. The facilitys and opportunitys to have fun are endless. Swim in the warm lake. Paddle with the canoe, relax on the special terrace . There is a grill for BBQ and even when it rains you can watch DVD, play one of the nice board games or enjoy the view over the Lake. A useful tip: don't come with your sport vehicle. For the arrival your vehicle should be a bit suitable for off-road driving. With Mitchell's directions and a dodge grand caravan we had no problems to arrive. The hosts were very friendly, we would like to come again.

  • Lee-Ann provided a very warm and welcoming room for me as a single traveller. I really appreciated the separate entrance, clean space, and clean linens. Trains were advertised as noisy but I found them to be very nostalgic actually. The kitchen was clean, tidy and had everything I could have needed to prepare my light meal. The other guests were quiet and we shared two baths but, I actually did not encounter anyone when I was there... it was quiet, clean, the host was welcoming. Parking was good and I would recommend this spot for sure... short or long term. Thank you.

    Nick2018-09-16T00:00:00Z
  • This beautiful old, renovated home is in a great area of town with large trees, near the beach and a really nice hiking trail. My comfortable room was on the third floor. There is a train that runs behind the house, which might bother you if you are a light sleeper, but I’ve always liked the sound of trains, so it was just nostalgic. Lee-Ann offers a fridge and kitchenette instead of breakfast, but I had breakfast at a local diner within walking distance at the cute downtown. The floors in the home are hardwood, it’s very clean, the art is beautiful and the shared bathrooms were clean and tidy. I would recommend this guest house for the traveler or professional who comes to town for work or play. There is a quiet and friendly dog, named Charlie. The chocolate on the pillow was a real bonus! Thanks for a wonderful stay, Lee-Ann! See you again.

  • I stayed at Lee-Ann's house for four nights in August 2018 and had a clean, cozy and spacious place to rest my head during a work trip up to Parry Sound. The upper floors of the house include two spacious full bathrooms, as well as a fully equipped kitchen and reading nook. Lee-Ann provides basically everything you may need - it felt like a substitute home. Space in the fridge and cupboards for groceries that I bought, bedroom well set up with a fan and clean sheets, as well as toiletries in the bathroom. There are two tenants currently living in the house, and they were very welcoming, quiet, and helped me orient myself within the house and the town itself! Would definitely consider staying again in future.

    Sean2018-08-10T00:00:00Z

  • Location is in a residential area and less than a 10 minute walk to the downtown core/ restaurants. My local restaurant recommendation is Wellington’s, a family style restaurant with a wide menu offering. Lee- Ann is a friendly host, and provides a coffee/bagel/ muffin in the morning.

Each of the four guest rooms is named after one of the four families. Mrs. T. will have an assortment of fresh fruit, breads and muffins, eggs, bacon and or sausages, cereals, yogurts and toast /jam/honey/peanut butter. On alternate days, she serves up pancakes and the extras. Coffees, teas and a variety of juices will also be on offer. On the grounds you will find perennial beds, vegetable beds, water feature, large Victorian bird bath, screened gazebo with comfortable seating, café tables, octagonal picnic table, two lawn swings (one for snoozing!), and Muskoka chairs for gatherings.
Parry Sound is a train town with two main lines: you will hear the trains rumble but usually no whistle blows at our bnb.
  • Mrs. T’s B & B is a very humble and ordinary name for a well maintained and absolutely lovely 100+ year old historic home. You feel as if you are staying with family, with generous and friendly attention to all of your needs. Room temperature was perfect, but just to make sure, a cozy fire is quickly built in one of the fireplaces to take off any lingering chill in the front sitting room or dining area. And dine we did - at breakfast! So many choices to satisfy any food requests - I am a flexitarian and ate my fill of all manner of fruit, vegetables, eggs and grain. And the blueberry pancakes had more berries than batter! As I wanted to explore ‘downtown’ Parry Sound, the location was a plus as I was able to walk there in mere minutes. I will definitely be back!

  • I had the opportunity to stay in the Beatty Suite, and what a delight! Beautifully decorated, and with more private amenities than I expected! The sunroom and ensuite made the space perfect to do a little work and relax. I will most certainly return and hope to do so when I have time to explore more of the property!

  • Sandra & Andrew are amazing people, they are extremely generous with their time and home. We particularly enjoyed the personal touches splashed at every turn. We enjoyed coffee on the porch, a swim in the lake, hanging out on the back deck.....the breakfast was fantastic, we had blueberry pancakes, variety of sausages, local bread, local maple syrup, fresh fruit, protein balls tea, coffee, juice and on and on. It was a real delight staying with Sandra & Andrew.

  • This is a old character home with a story. It is finished with many comfortable places to sit and enjoy the surroundings. Our hosts were friendly and attentive and went out of their way to make our stay memorable.

    Ted2019-09-21T00:00:00Z
  • Sandra and Andrew are great and heartwarming people with a very nice historical home. The welcoming and the hospitality was amazing, we felt home mediately. Very nice rooms and comfy beds. The breakfast was just outstanding like in a 5 Star Hotel. Thank you so much Sandra and Andrew!

  • Sandra and Andrew made my stay in Parry sound comfortable and cozy. Their family style breakfast are not to be missed. You'll feel right at home after Sandra generous spread at the table, and of course the banter. Closest thing to feeling like staying with family away from home. The house is old and charming. The Wheatley room where I stayed had a comfortable bed and an exit onto a large patio overlooking the backyard. Also 8 pillows! Had no idea what could do with so many by myself. They probably come in handy when you stay here as couple. Long story short, a left with a fullness of heart having stayed with these people. They're genuine and kind and are doing a great job running their bed and breakfast. In fact, in my years of using AirBnB, this was my first official bed and breakfast experience. I can certainly say it's going to be hard to go back to the usual more modern style experience that we've all come to expect of AirBnB. If you're passing through Parry Sound be sure to look up Mrs. T's BnB. You'll be glad you did. -Toly

  • Sandra's home is an older home, but is beautiful with so much charm and is well maintained. Sandra was very quick with communication and was there to welcome my boyfriend and I when we first arrived for our one night stay. She gave us a tour of the house and information about our stay. We stayed in the Wheatley room, which is the smallest of her rooms, but was more than enough space for us. It also opened out to a really nice deck (that is shared with another room). The breakfast provided is most definitely a highlight and it beyond exceeded my expectations. It was the best breakfast I've had at any BnB I've stayed at before - you will not leave hungry! Thanks again Sandra for being such a wonderful host to us.

  • Mrs. T’s was by far the best BnB I have ever stayed at. We were welcomed with open arms and given the full tour. Sandra and Andrew (and Barnaby) were so lovely and provided us with everything we could possibly need. They go above and beyond for their guests. The full Canadian breakfast in the morning may have been one of the best meals I’ve ever had. The home is beautiful and just a short walk from an amazing beach and view of Georgian Bay. I would highly recommend Mrs. T’s to anyone looking for a great place to stay in Parry Sound. Thanks again, can’t wait to come back!!

  • We really enjoyed our stay at Bens place. It’s a beautiful apartment on the marina. Great balcony with a beautifully peaceful view of the water. The location was great, it’s close to everything! It will be our first pet friendly choice if we’re ever visiting Parry Sound. We highly recommend it to future guests.

  • Rented for one night for a girls weekend and the apartment was wonderful! Right on the harbour, beautiful views, clean, spacious and very comfortable. I would stay there again!

  • Great apartment right by the marina with quick access to both the town and the water. No shortage of sights (or food) in the area! Immaculate interior, small details like towels provided really made it feel like an all inclusive. Walls seem to be a bit thin and you can hear people on the other side but that is to be expected with neighbours on both sides. Overall very enjoyable experience and would recommend!

    Simona2019-08-11T00:00:00Z
  • Evi and Rob are very good hosts. We were greeted with a bottle of delicious red wine and good advices for things to do around Parry Sound. The apartment is a bit small, but fine - it is very well equipped especially the kitchen and there is even a washing machine. Thank you, Evi and Rob, for letting us live in your beautiful apartment.

    Marianne2019-06-29T00:00:00Z
  • This is our third visit to Rob and Evi's beautiful home. The apartment is lovely. There is a gorgeous view over Georgian Bay and you can walk to the Rugged Fitness Trail where swimming off the pink granite rocks is perfect. The apartment is super clean, very stylish, comfortable with high end amenities. There are many windows all with great views. Rob and Evi are extremely kind, friendly and helpful. They have created an incredible getaway from busy city life. There is a very good new Italian Restaurant, Da Silvas Cuccina right on the bay. The food was delicious. We did lots of hiking and lounging on the beach at Killbear Provincial Park, saw deer, turtles and snakes. A true wilderness! We look forward to returning to Rob and Evi's place next summer.

    Paul And Leah2019-06-09T00:00:00Z
  • We had a lovely stay with Rob and Evi. They were welcoming, willing to help with any questions we had, and check-in was simple. Their BnB is located close to the water and trail, as well as close to downtown. Ideal. The apartment itself is modern, very clean, well-equipped, and very comfortable. We would highly recommend staying with Rob and Evi.

    Marsha2019-01-02T00:00:00Z
  • We enjoyed our stay with Rob and Evi very much - thanks to the heartwarming welcome we started our vacation just right. The appartment is amazing and I am sure, it is absolutely stunning in the summer. To be honest, there is not much to do in Parry Sound during winter season (even museums are closed), but we just enjoyed the quietness, the landscape around and went hiking. Rob's and Evi's place is super clean, perfectly equipped and very cozy! We will definitely be back!

    Natalie2018-12-30T00:00:00Z
  • A lovely spot with gracious host - clean, well stocked. Tips for restaurants and great walk on path into town.

    Candace2018-09-11T00:00:00Z
  • We cannot recommend Evi and Rob's accommodation enough! Their warmth and hospitality were evident from the moment we arrived. They were helpful with suggestions on restaurants, special places to visit and amazing hiking trails. The apartment is very well laid out, with everything one could need for a week's stay. The kitchen, while compact, is complete, and all the decor was restful and inviting. The location is perfect as it was less than a km walk via a lovely lake-side trail that is fully lit at night, to the Stockey Centre - we were in town for the Festival of the Sound, so this was ideal. Access was also easy to several additional hiking trails and swimming places, making this the perfect location.

    Dale2018-08-03T00:00:00Z
  • We had an amazing stay at Rob and Evi’s place. We arrived during a heatwave but Evi made sure a fan had been on so the place was nice and cool. She gave us plenty of helpful tips and very helpfully tracked down somewhere we could watch the England world cup game. The place is perfectly located to get down to the lakeside and swim, and a short walk to the front with good access to restaurants. I’d thoroughly recommend their place for a good getaway outside of Toronto to see the beautiful Canadian countryside.

  • Steve's place is nice, it is well laid out and easy to get some quiet or to have everyone together. There is ample lawn space for the puppies and the lake is nice. Steve also replies very quickly to messages and is very helpful. I would stay again if I am going to the area.

  • Great place, nice and cozy

    John2019-10-11T00:00:00Z
  • Stephen’s place was a great spot for a girls weekend. The lake was perfect to paddle and we saw some outstanding wildlife viewing including a beaver who put on quite a show right in front of the dock one evening. The fire pit is perfect and at night we were surrounded by fireflies and stars. Although the location on the lake is not quite suitable for swimming, there is a lovely beach a short walk down the road. All in all a wonderful stay.

    Holly2019-07-01T00:00:00Z

  • Nice house and very nicely decorated. Large communal kitchen, where you can find everything you need. Great showers / bathrooms. As far as we are concerned, the only minor drawback is that it is rather noisy: trains are passing by (but not much). Friendly hostess! If you are looking for a place in Parry Sound: this is a must!

    Marlies2019-10-15T00:00:00Z
  • Pets welcome... this was really nice for me and my dog. The host welcomed us with a dog treat, dog bowl, clean dog blanket and fresh water. The room was clean, tidy and had two windows. It was a real pleasure to find a spot near the beach to walk my dog and the trail was awesome... and so close. Lee-Ann and her husband were friendly and helpful with the questions I had. The kitchenette and seating area was comfortable and quiet. The bathrooms were clean and tidy. She really thought of everything when making this space a guest set up. Thanks. We will be back!

Interesting area, we did a great walk- the waterfront trail- around Parry Sound, and up to the tower lookout point for nice views and swimming in the lake. Also recommend the Trestle brewery for a place to stop to eat/drink.

Apple TV also a nice touch. Nice little deck with bbq to use. We felt it had everything we needed. The patio is very nice, loved watching the Jay's game on the big TV screen on the floating dock with a beautiful view while we had dinner. Totally recommend the veggie board and the Spicy red pizza both absolutely delicious. We had to have it again during our stay. The staff was very friendly and quick on their feet. Love Parry Sound. Must check out the Trestle Brewery great food and beer! Also the flight deck was a nice little restaurant we enjoyed. Definitely coming back again.

Right on the lake, with a great patio bar that sells good quality booze, a floating TV screen, kayaks ready to use, and a quaint and sweet cottage that has a killer view with everything you need... We were truly spoilt. We'll definitely be returning. Hospitality was so lovely and the communication was spot on. Thank you! Also... Great brewery 10 minutes up the road. Check it out!

You have your own cabin on the lake in Parry Sound Muskoka. The cabin has a kitchen/living room, a separate bedroom, a 3-piece bathroom with a shower, and the screened-in porch. We are on a well with the water system having a triple filter including UV light so it is safe to drink. The lake is right below your cabin and ideal for swimming from mid-June to mid-September. You are also welcome to paddle our canoe or stand-up paddle boards. Please help us keep the area clean so that we don't have unwanted interactions with bears and other animals. We have had many types of four-legged and winged visitors including: bear, coyote, crane, deer, duck, eagle, fox, frog, goose, hummingbird, loon, moose, otter, racoon, turtle, weasel and woodpecker. There are also mosquitos and flies so we recommend you bring some insect repellent for when you are outdoors depending on the time of year. Your cabin also has a large screened-in porch so you can still enjoy the lake if the insects are bugging you!
You are right on the lake. You can walk down to the dock anytime of day. You are close to town if you need supplies. It is approximately 25-30 minutes to walk to town along the highway or a very quick 3-4 minute drive. The canoe, stand-up paddle boards, and other equipment at the water are there for your use. Please feel free to try them out - just please make sure to wear a PFD for your safety.
  • I enjoyed my stay in Brock & Johna's lakeside cabin. Brock greeted me on arrival and made sure I had everything I needed, he even brought over a small portable heater for the sunporch so I could enjoy viewing the lake and fall colours in comfort. The cabin is well equipped and many thoughtful touches by the hosts exceeded my expectations. A great place to unwind and relax, I would definitely return.

  • As advertised a lovely little cottage.

    Michael2019-10-14T00:00:00Z
  • The location is everything! Down a quiet lane and just steps from the dock. The cabin is cute & cozy with everything you need including a small kitchenette. If a quiet space surrounded by nature is what you want, this cabin is a great choice!

  • We have enjoyed our stay. Brock and Johna are excellent hosts. Cottage is in a good condition and location is perfect.

    Alexander2019-09-04T00:00:00Z
  • This place is accurately advertised. Brock took the time to show us around when we arrived. We had the waterfront all to ourselves, along with access to the canoe and paddle boards.

    Karen2019-08-28T00:00:00Z
  • Brock & Johna's place is very conveniently located off the highway near Parry Sound. The guesthouse is exactly as advertised. The check-in process was smooth and we were made to feel very welcome. The lakefront is gorgeous and we took advantage of swimming, lounging, and paddleboarding. We really appreciated the thoughtful touch of having a locally made jam for our toast. This is a great place to disconnect from it all. Thanks for hosting us!

  • I stayed at the guest house in room 5 which had two single beds. The room was very nice, large and the beds and linens were very nice. With two windows and a dresser/closet, I had enough space for my things while staying for a few days. I really appreciated the kitchenette for creation of a few light meals. The bathrooms were clean and the house was very quiet. Parking was on site and the welcome was efficient. Thank you! I will come back again.

  • I stayed at this lovely guest house with my dog in a room on the third floor. The room was sunny and bright. The kitchen and bathroom were clean and tidy. The communication was helpful . The door lock was easy to use and there was good wifi reception. Lee Ann was an excellent hostess and was very welcoming to my dog. She also advised that she provides long term stays for professionals working in town. I would stay again at this guest house and would definitely recommend it.
