Places to stay in Perry
This space is in the perfect location--10 minute drive to the Letchworth State Park, and one mile to Silver Lake, walking distance to the newly remodeled downtown area of Perry. Apartment has parking and great amenities. WiFi is now available!
This area is great for all seasons. Letchworth State Park has tons of hiking, views, activities. The Perry entrance is super close to the apartment. We can direct you when you arrive. Entrance is free before 9am and after 5pm, otherwise it is $10 for a day pass (during the season--May to mid-October, off season is free entry) The apartment is literally up the street from the downtown corridor of Perry where there is: -a local brewery (Silver Lake Brewing Project). just opened in March (the beer is phenomenal, but try it yourself! You won't be disappointed) -an art gallery with Thursday evening movie screenings at 7pm (usually free popcorn and engaging discussion!!) -a bookstore/coffee shop where there is always someone in there with advice on things to do/places to see -an awesome Farmer's Market on Main street every Saturday from 8:30-12:30 from June through September -much, much more (just ask!) Silver Lake is a quick drive (or bike/jog--we can tell you how to get there!) There is a public beach, the Charcoal Corral (with ice cream/pizza/drive-in movies/mini golf/summer concerts), and more (again--just ask us!)
  • This is a great place very clean and in a great location to Lecthworth state Park. We will definitely be back when we can stay longer.

  • This was a great place to spend the week! It had everything I needed and gave me a place to work and spend comfortable evenings. I needed to cook and everything was there I could have needed, (and lots if menus and options for when didnt) Even in the middle of snowy WNY winter weather I had easy access privacy!

  • What a great place this is! Part of me wants to keep it a secret all to ourselves. 😊 I highly recommend this lovely apartment in Perry. It is just charming, updated, spotless and has just enough to make it perfectly homey and special and meet all your needs. Walking distance to entertainment, great food, brewery, wine bar, coffeehouse/ bookstore, and a short drive to Letchworth State Park which is breathtaking in every season. You know it's a great spot when you make friends over a weekend and are already planning your next stay!

  • Beautiful place for a weekend getaway. The town of Perry is a hidden gem. Just lovely people, very close to Letchworth State Park. We visited in the winter and the state park is absolutely beautiful when snow covered. Quick drive to Rochester or buffalo. Highly recommend.

  • Mary Ana’s place was a very cozy and comfortable stay at the start of the new year. It’s very fresh and clean inside with a great bathroom, well stocked kitchen, selection of puzzles and DVD’s, and comfy bed. Couldn’t ask for much more for a weekend getaway. We walked around town and checked out the Lumber Yard restaurant which was ok, enjoyed the brewery and then went to play a few rounds of pool at the bowling alley before bowling a couple games. Perry closes down pretty early so plan accordingly. Of course the vicinity to the park was a big plus and we had a great time checking out Hogsback, the dam and the waterfalls. We’ll probably be back to the area in the summer to bike around the park since it was so picturesque.

  • Mary Ana's place was in a great location and was very cosy.

The cottage features a light and airy coastal theme with one bedroom (plus a comfortable futon in the family room) that sleeps 4. There are two docks for fishing, swimming, etc. The cottage is on the east side of Silver Lake which allows you to enjoy the incredible sunsets. • Beautiful cottage right on the lake. So close to Letchworth State Park!

    Shannon2019-10-14T00:00:00Z
  • What an absolutely perfect stay. This cabin has been beautifully redone and was so comfortable. The lake is gorgeous and the fire pit by it made for a beautiful evening with s’mores provided by the host. Clean and well appointed with everything you could need, I would highly recommend this place to anyone!

    Ben2019-10-09T00:00:00Z
  • This little cottage is beyond cute! The place is immaculate and decor is so charming and homey. The kitchen is bright and well stocked. The bed was very comfortable and trust me, this is a huge compliment from me. I’m a mattress snob 😊. The hosts left us a s’more kit and a homemade card to welcome us. Even though lake life is winding down for the season we enjoyed the fire pit and watching the lake roll by. The sunset was awesome too. The cottage is also located very close to Letchworth State Park which was the main reason we were visiting this area. I will definitely stay here again next season.

    Debby2019-10-06T00:00:00Z
  • This place is just as advertised if not better. It was so relaxing at the lake with the amazing sunsets, fire pit, kayak, canoe, bar-b-que, stars at night and all the little added extras. We were greeted with an entire s'mores "set-up" and upon returning from an amazing day hiking at Letchworth we were met with flowers and balloons for my wife's 30th. (To me that says it all) I can promise it is as cute as it seems in the photos and as described. Highly recommend!!! Great hosts.

    Paul2019-09-23T00:00:00Z
  • Had a great time staying here while touring Letchworth state park.

    Lucas2019-09-16T00:00:00Z
  • The lakefront cottage was super clean and comfortable. A nice welcome gift and lots of amenities made our trip fun. Great communication from the host and an outstanding location.

    Peter2019-09-02T00:00:00Z
  • Excellent hosts! Very responsive and welcoming. Place was clean and comfortable! The lake is beautiful. The cottage location between Geneseo and Letchworth Park was ideal for us.

    Susan2019-08-23T00:00:00Z
  • The cottage was fabulous, perfect if you wanted to cook a meal. Decorated beautifully and clean. Letchworth State Park was spectacular, highly recommend a visit. The first day we hiked from the lower waterfall to the upper, breathtaking views! Second day we drove through the park and stopped at all of the overlooks. Went back in the evening for dinner at the Glen Iris Inn. Monday drove to Niagara Falls, it was beautiful but too many people, didn't enjoy it as much. We are so happy we found this cottage on Silver Lake!!

  • Great place

    Jennifer2019-11-17T00:00:00Z
  • The whole weekend at Mary’s house was amazing! I was able to check in at 8:15 PM with the lock box, this was big for me as I wasn’t able to arrive until well after the 3 PM check in time. The house has a rustic feel, while still having many modern amenities. Inside and out are extremely clean, very well maintained. The kitchen is fully stocked with pots, pans, oven accessories, plates, cups, coffee makers, etc. All I had to do was buy the food I wanted to make, I didn’t have to run to the store for anything. Extremely close to Silver Lake, and the neighbors are far enough away to where you never hear or see them. It’s very private and quaint. Parking is very easy, there’s a large parking spot/driveway across the yard that can fit 3-5 cars easily. 10 minute drive to Letchworth SP, Castile and Perry villages are 10 minutes away. Lots of local food options and attractions as well! Mary was very easy to communicate with, answered promptly to any messages I sent. I’d totally recommend staying at Mary’s!

Welcome to the country. We have a full house on just under a acre. Right off 20A for easy access. Home is warm with country cozy feel. We are 15 min to Letchworth Park, hour to Niagra Falls, sking Swain ski 45 min Coral mini golf/ drive in theater is 15 min away. So much to do in beautiful Wyoming County. We are a easy 20 min drive to Geneseo College. Drive around the hills in the fall to see the most beautiful color trees. We live 7 min from house.
There are 2 entrances. Front porch and back door there are 2 steps either way you enter. We also have a fenced back patio area to sit and relax with calming views of large yard to play outside games. We are right down the road 1 mile from the Perry/ Warsaw airport. An hour to Buffalo and hour to Rochester. Our neighbors a good distance have some small farm animals they move around their property so at times we see their playful goat's way out back. They are well fenced and fun to watch.
There is a great breakfast/lunch bulk food place a mile down the road. They have lots of snacks, sprinkles of all kinds and good food. A couple coffee shops 5 mins away, pizza shops, ice cream, and shopping. We also have Hidden Valley animal adventures 20 min away. They offer lots of different activities even sleigh rides in winter.
  • Fantastic weekend! I had to come in to Buffalo for the week to visit family, and I desperately needed to get away for the weekend. I’m very familiar with the area, and usually stay at a place in Silver Lake, but I decided to try Tammi/Shea’s place, and I’m super happy I did. It’s very private, there’s a small farm to the left of the house, and woods to the right. 20A is the main road right in front of the house, and it’s a rather busy road. However, it’s really only travelled on during the day, so the night is fairly quiet. The inside is beautiful! Every amenity you can think of minus wi-fi. I had service with AT&T LTE and 5GE no problem, so I didn’t mind. I’m not sure if there’s cable, I don’t watch TV so I didn’t even care to check the TV setup out. The kitchen is well stocked, I’ve never seen so many options for coffee flavors. The Keurig is a nice touch as well, super easy to use, no grounds to mess with. All the appliances are modern, I was able to do a complete load of laundry in 25 minutes. The bedrooms are nice, the bed I slept in was extremely comfortable. The entire house is very well kept and cared for, the owners seem like very hygienic people as well, everything is clean, which is a HUGE plus. The outside property is pretty large, there was half a foot of snow on the ground during my stay, so I couldn’t enjoy it fully, but that’s nothing anyone can prevent! There’s a nice back patio that has a partition wall for privacy. Lots of parking room as well. Lots of information on things to do, places to eat, etc. in a binder the owners put together. Check-in was a breeze, checkout was a breeze. Couldn’t have been happier, thanks again Tammi/Shea!

    Scott2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • Our family SO enjoyed our time at your BnB! One of the adult moms said that Air BnB pictures did not do your place justice; all of the 'kids' were so impressed with the space and spaciousness that accommodated our large group. We were able to have our gift opening, and comfortable sleeping, and even serving a nearly complete turkey dinner. Thank you for your prompt replies to my oh-so-many questions. The proximity of Letchworth for some winter-day hiking and the use of your fire pit rounded out our time of conversation and games. Thank you for providing this wonderful space.

    Jacqueline2019-12-24T00:00:00Z
  • This house is the perfect rental for families traveling to this area. We traveled with two very small children and Tammi made our stay a breeze. They had everything ready for us and easily accessible. She is quick with communication, answering all the questions I had within the hour. The house is clean and has up to date amenities. It is well worth the price and we would highly recommend staying here!

This is a newly remodeled lake house, right on Silver Lake. With water access and a private dock, you can enjoy the activities the lake offers. We have plenty of parking. Between the hammock, deck over the water, and fire pit, we are sure you will have plenty of ways to relax. We hope you try a stay at our lake house!
This is a 2 story lake house. The downstairs has one bath, one bedroom, kitchen, and living room. The upstairs is more of a loft with 2 separate sides. No doors on the bedrooms tho. Please view the staircase, to the upstairs, in the pictures as they are unique. Can be tricky for elderly. Small children should do fine with supervision or using the hand rail.
  • Absolutely beautiful place!

    David2019-10-19T00:00:00Z
  • Lakehouse view is great. It is also near Letchworch State Park.

  • Our family had a great stay at the lake house. Great location with lots to do close by. The lake house was wonderful! We highly recommend and hope to return again.

    Kaylee2019-08-14T00:00:00Z
  • The lake house was just great, inside and out: Outside, the lake was only steps away with two great decks with nice deck furniture. We were there during the week and the neighbors were super quiet. It was easy to get the 2 kayaks provided into the water and I found the swimming real nice. There is some lake grass but it's easy to get beyond that, especially with the floats provided. Inside, the living/dining room space was clean, well-furnished, and comfortable with a full wall of windows to watch the lake. The kitchen was stocked with all pots, pans, dishes, keurig, etc etc, that we could possibly need. The steps upstairs are tricky (as Matt and Stacey pointed out); the downstairs bedroom is small with just a double bed (not queen) but it's well sound-proofed. We couldn't have been happier with our stay.

  • Beautiful location right on the water with all the amenities! Great for families or a romantic vacation. If you boat or fish it is perfect! Great doc and deck. Beautiful windows for a lovely view every day! It is extremely clean as well. :)

A cottage set on Silver Lake with picturesque views. With water access and a private dock, you can enjoy the activities the lake offers. Perfect place to savor your morning coffee while enjoying your water view. We hope you give our lake-side retreat a try!
Cottage set on Silver lake with fantastic views on a dead end road. The house includes 2 bedrooms (1 - queen bed, 1 - full bed) as well as a pull out sofa with a double and 1 bathroom with shower. The kitchen is complete with a gas range and oven as well as a full size refrigerator. The dining area can easily seat 4 but can seat 8 or more (just add leaves!) A grill is provided! A wooden walkway leads from the house down to the dock and sitting area which is a perfect spot to enjoy some lake-side dining. The 4-section dock includes a stairway with rail which makes getting in and out of the water a snap for swimming. The parking area at the front of the cottage can easily accommodate 3 compact cars or 2 SUVs.
Our cottage is set on a private dead end road. This is a quiet serene picturesque spot on Silver Lake. The town of Perry has a great down town with restaurants, a wine bar and brewery.
  • Excellent value considering it is located lakefront. Has a very nice dock with stairs for easy access in and out with a kayak. Also very close to Letchworth State Park. The owner is very responsive and make the process extremely easy. Great experience. Thanks

  • Sharon’s lake house was one of the best Airbnb’s I’ve had the pleasure of staying at! The location is dreamy, right on the lake which was frozen when we were visiting. The house itself is beautiful and very cozy with a fully stocked kitchen and windowed common area perfect for hanging out in and watching the snow or a movie. We loved how close the house was to the hiking in Letchworth. Hope to come back soon!

This state of the art "tensile tent" is held in place mid-air by three 10,000 pound ratchet straps. You decide how far up in the trees you want to sleep. Feels like 2 hammocks but with more support. Will fit 2 adults. The caretaker will set up and take down the tent for our guests' convenience.
The tree tent is about 50 feet from the common area camp fire pit and docks. Most guests love the location and fall asleep to the sound of campfire conversation backed by waves breaking on the lake shore. But if those things don't appeal to you, you may want to opt for one of Silverlaken Estate’s more traditional rental options, as this luxury tree tent, is still just a tent. Also, know that when you are up in the tree tent, you will be in the middle of the birds and woodlands creatures who can be vocal at various times of day and night. History of the Silverlaken Estate / Legend of the Silver Lake Sea Serpent HISTORY OF THE SILVERLAKEN ESTATE In the mid/late 1800’s, Perry was a thriving mill town and Silver Lake was a popular tourist destination for church retreats and private camps. Some of the signs decorating the Silverlaken lodge today were found in the attic and date back to that period. Look for “Around the lake- 15 cents” and “Bible Study at 10am” signs hanging in the lodge. The water running down the outlet of Silver Lake provided the hydropower for a dozen textile mills in what is now the Perry main street. What is now the Silverlaken Lodge was the summer retreat of the Traber family, who owned a large mill in town. Long before air conditioning, wealthy families escaped the heat by coming to the shores of the lake. The Trabers placed a decorative mill stone on the front lawn over a hundred years ago. It’s still there in the same place! The massive evergreens and sycamore trees were planned back in that era, and are still standing proud well over 150 years later. What is now the utility room was a “sleeping porch”. ½ of the bedroom was indoors and the rest on the porch. When it was hot, the bed was pushed out on the deck! By the time of the First World War, hydropower was replaced by the engine and the mills began to close up. The property changed hands a few times and fell into a state of disrepair for decades. Silverlaken’s current owner, Mike Bellamy, spent a lot of time on the lake as his parents founded the local marina in 1979. He often thought about fixing up the “old Traber estate”. After a 20-year career in Asia, Mike retired in 2016, returned to Silver Lake and purchased the property. With the help of his wife- Anita, and local contractors, 2 years were spent restoring the main buildings. In 2018, rental units were added and the property was opened to guests wishing to enjoy Silver Lake and Letchworth park. BTW, Mike & Anita collect antique wooden Chinese furniture & art as a hobby. Some of the pieces decorating the Silverlaken Estate are well over 200 years old. Please feel free to ask your hosts for a tour of the collection if you are interested. For the full Silverlaken story, check out @Silverlaken1854 on Facebook LEGEND OF THE SILVER LAKE SEA SERPENT On the night of July 13, 1855, in Perry, New York, two boys and a few men were fishing from a boat on Silver Lake. After several hours of fishing, the men grew tired and wanted to head in for the day. Besides, it was getting late and the sun was going to set. As they began to row the boat in, each passenger watched as a nearby floating log began to move, dipping in and out of the water. Then without notice, the beast leaped from the water, showing itself in all its glory before splashing back into the murky water and disappearing. The men and boys who were struck with awe rushed back to shore and alerted the local authorities. They had witnessed a massive, scaly, dinosaur like creature. The legend of the Silver Lake Sea Serpent was born. It didn’t take long for word to spread, and people came from far and wide to get a chance to search for the monster. Several expeditions were launched, including a whale-man with a harpoon, a crazed society of men armed with guns, and even companies who spent thousands on employees bent on capturing the creature. Sadly, nothing was ever found until… In 1857, a fire broke out at Artemus B. Walker’s hotel on the lake. Within the burned wreckage of the hotel was found a serpent like wire frame and some green mesh. Mr. Walker confessed that he had created the monster to attract popularity to the town and its hotels. To this day, the locals of Silver Lake and Perry celebrate the story with boat parades and festivals.

The bedrooms are spacious and the bathrooms are very modern. There are a lot of kitchen items that the owners have provided for use. The owner responds quickly when you message and is very nice! We loved staying at this house and it is somewhere we would stay again if we were looking in the Silver Lake Area!

  • We stayed at Jen's place for the weekend for a wedding we were attending in Letchworth State Park in late October. The location was perfect, very close to the Perry entrance of the park. We were so thankful that when we arrived the house was nice and warm as it was quite cold and rainy the weekend we were there. The view of the lake was beautiful and the leaves changing made the scenery top notch. There were plenty of separate sleeping spaces for everyone in our party (we had 8, 2 couples and 4 singles). Two bathrooms and 2 showers were much appreciated getting ready in the morning. I would love to come back and stay in the summer where we can enjoy more of the outdoor space and the lake. The place seems like it would be perfect year round.

This state of the art "tensile tent" is held in place mid-air by three 10,000 pound ratchet straps. You decide how far up in the trees you want to sleep. Feels like 3 hammocks but with more support. Will fit 3 adults, but for comfort sake, we recommend no more than 2 adults (or 2 adults + 1 child)(or 1 adults + 2 kids). The caretaker will set up and take down the tent for our guests' convenience.
The tree tent is about 50 feet from the common area camp fire pit and docks. Most guests love the location and fall asleep to the sound of campfire conversation backed by waves breaking on the lake shore. But if those things don't appeal to you, you may want to opt for one of Silverlaken's more traditional rental options, as this luxury tree tent, is still just a tent.

  • The tree tent was so comfortable and such a cool experience staying in overnight. We went hiking at Letchworth State Park, antiquing in downtown Perry, and took the kayaks around Silver Lake during our stay. Exploring the nearby area it is easy to find fresh fruit and fresh eggs from farm stands that you can prepare in the shared kitchen!

  • I didn’t want to leave! Mike was a fantastic host, going out of his way to be helpful and he made the place feel like home. We loved hanging out at the lake, swimming, kayaking and sailing. Beautiful view of the lake from the sauna (and everywhere else).

  • Mike was very nice and his family was too. They were sitting around the fire and welcomed us over and offered us snacks. The kids were singing around the fire and it was so cute. I stayed in the tree tent with one of my friends and the pictures don’t do justice to how the tent looks inside. It can fit three people but fit two comfortably. The view outside the tent was just gorgeous and the birds chirping in the morning is just the way I’d like to wake up. Very homey atmosphere. Inside there’s a shower and a bathroom open to those in tents outside, not just the people staying in the lodge, and a fridge to keep all your food and drinks. We wanted to go kayaking and they provide life vests but we were too tired after going to letchworth. Pleasant stay and I hope to see them again

  • Beautifully restored old farmhouse, right outside Letchworth State Park. Fully stocked kitchen, comfortable beds, plenty of parking. We enjoyed Amanda's recommendations for restaurants. She was very responsive to our questions. Would stay again.

  • What a wonderful slice of serenity! We had a wonderful time.

  • Amanda is a fantastic host- so communicative and helpful. The farm house is really cool- so well done. It IS in the country, so there are lot of bugs, etc. but that is to be expected when you rent a true farm house in the country. The location next to Letchworth State Park made for an excellent day of exploring the entire place. The big living room downstairs and the great kids' toys made fro a fun extra with our kids. All in all, this is a unique and excellent place to stay!

  • Wonderful place! Perfect location for hiking in Letchworth. Lovely house with many thoughtful touches and all the amenities you may need for your stay. Amanda was very easy to communicate with. Would highly recommend!

  • A welcoming farmhouse and “home away from home” with beautiful day time views and night time stars. Lovely all around.

    Michelle2019-08-24T00:00:00Z
  • Amanda is the best hostess! Communication was excellent before and throughout our visit - even to the point of answering where we could find a farm stand! We felt welcomed as soon as we entered the back porch - and that feeling continued throughout our stay. The kitchen had everything we wanted or needed - and sitting around the large table was the perfect gathering place. The entire home was very comfortable and had everything ( and more) to make our stay relaxing and comfortable. Amanda obviously has the gift of hospitality and freely shares it. The location is literally right next to a Letchworth entrance! And we were close to the other the other areas we needed to go to. And oh - her recommendation of Questa Lasagna...the best pasta any of has ever eaten! Wish we’d had time to tryout the other suggestions! If I could give her more than 5 stars I would! Thanks for everything Amanda!

  • * La maison d'Amanda est proche du parc, tres spacieuse, dans la campagne. * Big and beautiful house, in a quiet environment, just next door to the park. Perfect for a good time with family or friends. Amanda is careful with her guests. It was better than expected ! Thank you again !

This brand new Luxury Canvas Cabin provides the ultimate “glamping” experience. Featuring a jacuzzi tub, full bathroom, sofa chair, armoire, and two queen size air mattresses. This Cabin is ideally suited for two adults and two children. Please note this is a new listing and we are awaiting arrival of a queen bed set and sleeper sofa. We have discounted the nightly rate in the meantime. Take advantage of the pricing and be one of the first to experience this one of a kind lakefront getaway.
The Luxury Canvas Cabin is located just to the right of the lodge and is just a short walk to the lake, camp fire pit and docks. Five things to note before you book: 1. Bedding You will find clean mattresses, clean mattress protectors, clean pillows and clean pillow protectors on all the beds at Silverlaken. Unless agreed otherwise, PLEASE BRING YOUR OWN SHEETS, BLANKETS (or sleeping bag), PILLOW CASES, TOWELS, Soap & Shampoo. Check the listing, or contact us, for details on the mattress sizes in each of the rooms, cabins, tents and other rental units. 2. Cows Wyoming county is known for dairy farming. Farms spread manure on nearby fields a few times per year. Depending on the wind direction and season, farm freshness may be noticed at Silverlaken on occasion. 3. Well water The compound is serviced by two wells which feed an 8000 USD water softening system with UV lights. Despite over-engineering the water system, because the pipes are brand new and because the water is from a well, the water may still have a slight scent to it. If you have grown up on city water, the country water will be a bit different. The water quality has passed heath inspection with flying colors and is certainly safe. But if you are sensitive to this issue, you may want to bring bottled water for drinking and cooking. 4. Heating & Cooling Some of the rental units have heating and cooling. Others do not. Please check the listings for details. The estate enjoys a breeze off the lake and air conditioning is generally not needed, even in mid-summer. We have a few mobile air conditioning units on standby in the event there is a heatwave during your stay. Please let us know in advance if you wish to have one as they are first come/ first serve. 5. Bring a flashlight. We intentionally limit lighting between the buildings so that our guests may enjoy a better view of the night sky. • True glamping! Queen size bed, indoor plumbing, jacuzzi tub, electricity, and a lake view with access to a sauna!?! Now that’s what I call camping. Normally I tell my friends that if I’ve been camping for three days that it probably means that I’ve been dead for 2 days... But this glamping tent is something I could stay in for a month! Super hospitable hosts, nice touches inside the tent and outside, clean, bug free, and plenty of parking. It was quite cold during our stay in October, and the hosts ensured that we had not one, but 2 heaters and even a brand new heated blanket. I couldn’t have asked for a better tent camping experience! I’ll definitely be booking again next summer and will be bringing the kids.

  • Silverlaken is a perfect way connect to beauty, landscape and restoration with ease. The canvas tent was such a delight for myself and my young children. The entire space was lovely and easily shared. We were able to set up our creature comforts and make the space meet our needs without any issue. The main house is so close cooking our meals and carrying them back to our space became a sweet time to connect and work together. Mike was very courteous and kind, as well as the other guests. The lake is absolutely gorgeous and such a special landscape to be upon. We are already planning our next visit. My oldest son slept on the air mattress and the only complaint was it is quite cold without layers of blankets over the sheets which we had so it was not an issue what so ever. I'd recommend packing a few sets of blankets and throws to meet your needs but that's to be expected in any camping space. This is such a great way to relax and rejuvenate without too much effort toward roughing it. Recommending to our friends and family any time we can!

  • Such a wonderful place to stay, the lake is gorgeous and it is within a reasonable distance to Letchworth which was our main reason for staying here. However, we were so pleasantly surprised and delighted with the gorgeous views and sights just driving around the local area. The cabin was spotless and whenever we had any questions or concerns the response was almost instantaneous. Looking forward to coming back during warmer months to enjoy the lake!

  • Absolutely perfect "glamping" experience for our family of 2 adults and 2 kids at the log cabin. Location is amazing with the sunrise and moonrise over the lake. We spent a day at Letchworth state park which is only 15 mins away. We met one of the hosts Mike who was a chilled out guy and very welcoming. They left us marshmallows, hershey chocolates in our cabin to use at the campfire. That was a special touch. We had a great time at the log cabin. I have already recommended this location to two of my friends. We'll definitely come back if the opportunity arises.

  • My husband, son, and I stayed at Silverlaken for 2 nights. We were greeted by host upon arrival. Extra touches included a bag of ingredients to make s'mores and bathroom essentials, which we forgot soap. The propery was beautiful and we had access to so many things that we didn't realize we would. The view is amazing! We were very comfortable there and have plans on returning next summer.

  • This place is fantastic. The cabin seems brand new, sparkling clean, and is well designed. There's a view of the lake from a rocking bench on the small deck. The mini-kitchen has all you need for a quick morning breakfast (coffee maker, small microwave, toaster, and mini fridge.) We spent a lot of time playing on the lake with the provided kayaks. We fished (with our own rods) off the dock. There's a 24/7 fresh bait store just down the road. We enjoyed the sauna, and the Adirondack chairs on the lawn that look out on the lake. The property is relaxing. Letchworth State Park is 10-15 mins away. Mike was a consummate host, and evenhelped us get our kayak back on our car when we left. We completely enjoyed our weekend and would recommend this log cabin and the amenities of the whole property to our friends in a heartbeat.

  • We stayed in the tiny cabin and it was beautiful. So peaceful by the lake and only 10 minutes from Letchworth. Our host greeted us the first day to say hi and see if there was anything we needed. I would recommend the cabin to anyone looking for a “glamping” getaway!

  • Our short stay happened to land on the first blizzard of the season. There were a few minor amenity hiccups because the weather conditions, but Mike was super responsive and was there within 10-minutes to fix the problems. All in all a great experience, and great location too. Considering making another trip here in the Spring when the weather is more friendly!

  • Our stay at the Silver Lake house was wonderful! Our morning views while drinking our coffee looking out over the lake were just gorgeous! Everything was freshly updated and so clean! It was so close to Letchworth State Park...which is why we were in the area...and Charcoal Corral...where we played miniature golf and ate dinner. One of the best days on our trip! We would definitely stay here again!

  • I really love your place, all your renovations make it very special, all cooking tools you could think of. The bed in the master bedroom is incredible, (London fog) soft sheets, thinking of getting one for myself. So roomy and cozy, great to interact with the people with you. The boat house is such a very special surprise, really enjoyed suning ourselves next to Silver Lake. I hope things were left to your liking, thank you for opening your wonderful home and sharing your beautiful treasure! Thank you! Sincerely, James Pittock

  • Silverlaken was fantastic! We rented the whole estate for the weekend of my wedding. We had around 40 of our friends stay out there with us. The host, Mike, was so great in helping accommodate us, he definitely went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and taken care of. He was very communicative leading up to the event and answered any questions we had. He even assisted me in mapping out where people should sleep, since he knew the layout better and was available! He let us drop stuff of a day early and leave a little late, which was a huge help being the day of our wedding. Mike let us do our thing and did not invade our privacy, but was also very available over the weekend and made sure we didn't need anything. He was very relaxed and easy to get along with. Silverlaken is great for a large group with lots of sleeping options (boat house, log cabin, tiny house, main lodge, glamping tents, etc, etc) . The huge lawn is great for lawn games and having a night time fire. Silverlaken helped make our wedding weekend very memorable and I am so glad we chose to stay there. We hope to come back again sometime soon! Definitely stay here if you are looking for a great time!

This tiny house is just like the ones featured on HGTV. It includes a kitchenette, full bathroom, living room and full size bed that sleeps two. The tiny house is located on the grounds of the Silverlaken Estate, which is located on the western shore of Silver Lake. The Silverlaken Estate provides a number of common space shared amenities including: sauna, camp fire, full kitchen in the lodge, BBQ grill, kayaks, and docks.
The Tiny House is located just behind the lodge and is just a short walk to the lake, camp fire pit and docks. • Amazing tiny lake house right on the water! Very clean! The porch is perfect to relax and view of the sunrise and sunset! Couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay!

  • We had a lovely stay at the boat house cottage. It looks exactly as pictured and was spotless clean. The hosts were very prompt with responses and often got back to my messages in minutes. The space can easily accommodate two couples or a small family. We really loved that they left us to ourselves but we ran into the property manager Mike on our check-out and he was very nice and took some pictures for us by the water. One thing to note and the main reason we picked the boat house and not one of their other listings, is that the boat house cottage was one of their only property listing that had heat, so please keep that in mind if you are visiting the area in cooler/colder months.

    Heather2019-10-06T00:00:00Z
  • A great “getaway” with this charming boat house Right on the water and so much to do with the kayaks and swimming Clean and a great size for us

  • I cannot say or put into words anything that will express how spectacular being literally overtop of tranquil Silver Lake is! The boathouse at SilverLaken puts you on the water and the absolute best part about this unit is the porch that runs the length of the unit sitting out over the water - simply breathtaking! Sip your coffee in the morning as the sun rises before you and then kick back with a glass of wine in the evening as the shadows draw in around you. The unit is very new and modern. It was well cleaned and smelled fresh for our stay. There is a large fridge, large sink, small microwave and some kitchen basics that should serve any guest well. The property has an eclectic mix of 'housing' options for guests and while we didnt use them, there were plenty of small watercraft and a nice firepit available for use. The listing is accurate and pictures are up to date - all in all, you won't be dissapointed!

    Alan2019-08-24T00:00:00Z
  • This was our second time staying at the boathouse for a girls' weekend - we love it! It's amazing just to sit on the deck right on the water. Very clean, spacious, and the fire pit is great. We will definitely be back!

Charming turn of the century Victorian Cottage - 5 miles to Letchworth 6 bedrooms; 4 full bathrooms; sleeps 10 comfortably; boat lift available NOTE: Rental Times: June, July & August - weekly only, Saturday to Saturday. 3 day minimum balance of time, except holiday weekends which are 4 day minimums.
Enjoy your vacation at our lovingly restored Lake Front Turn of the Century Victorian Cottage on idyllic Silver Lake The Finger Lakes are comprised of 10 lakes, if there were 11; Silver Lake would be the extra pinkie on the Western End Silver Lake is nestled in the rolling hills of Wyoming County, NY. The lake is 4 miles long, a mile wide and known for good fishing so don’t forget your poles This cottage boasts 3 covered porches, plenty of outdoor dining and seating along with indoor & outdoor fireplaces. There is also a boat lift available if you bring your own boat (6.5' wide, 2,000 lb). At Days end enjoy your favorite beverage watching the incredible Sunsets…no two are alike An old fashion vacation with a step back in time Although built around 1900, the home has been extensively rebuilt and restored, including all new bathrooms, kitchen, bar-room, 3 porches, indoor & outdoor fireplaces and refinished floors throughout. A trully unique part of the ‘east’ side of the lake is the right of way 2+ mile walkway between the houses and lake, which until 40+ years ago had been a narrow guage railroad. This walkway takes you along the lake to the Silver Lake Institute, while getting to know the neighbors and and enjoying family time exercise. Unfortunately the pathway to the north (right facing the lake) has been blocked by a neighbor with a fence. Relax with an evening fire at one of the 2 fireplaces or with a bon fire lakeside with the portable firepit. Plenty of wood available. Hope you like music, there is a great stereo on the 1st floor with 5 sets of speaker (3 outdoor), extensive (oldies) CD library and hookup for your iphone, ipad or other MP3 player or Alexa. Additional surround sound system on 3rd floor. All the bedrooms boast ceiling fans, along with the living room and bar room. The ‘7th’ bedroom is actually the 3rd floor of the house we fondly refer to as: The Orphanage (also known as: Crow’s Nest, Adam’s Attic or Astro Lounge) Has 4 distinct areas, main room with large ‘L’ shaped couch and other seating, bed area with 4 'full size' beds creating a camp like setting, additional sitting area over looking the lake with large couch and 4 other chairs, and finally a full size bath. This area is a favorite with the kids (and sometimes the guys) to get away and enjoy the views and their own surround sound stereo. We have renovated to be very family oriented, with the bedrooms, orphange, flow, porches, etc.. Until our renting this year, we also did not have a TV or internet (it's does now), and spent time catching up with family with games, music and enjoying what the house, community and area has to offer. It's been over 10 years and we have not tired of it, and is still a favorite for our families to gather, and hope it becomes one for your family too. Dogs &/or cats must first discuss with owners, and if agreed there is a $50 fee per pet. Other Area Activities: • Letchworth State Park – The Grand Canyon of the East: hiking, rafting, 3 gorgeous falls, Museum, Glen Iris Inn - 5 miles • Golf at the Silver Lake Country Club - 2 miles + 3-4 bags of clubs available. Age is about as old as the house. Bring your favorite clubs to compliment. • Charcoal Corral / DRIVE IN Theater – featuring: 2 screens, Old Fashioned Ice Cream Parlor, Arcade, Pizzeria, Miniature Golf, Antique car shows & much more – 2 miles • Antiquing - many towns in the area • Silver Lake Institute – Historical area with Victorian cottages – 1 mile • Y-Camp Day Camp or Sleepover Camp for the kids – 2 miles • Biking (2 bikes available) • Camp Asbury - Methodist camp – 1 mile • Games – Board Games Galore Yard Games: Baggo , Croquet, Ladder Ball • Great Fishing - Licenses available at Walmart in nearby Warsaw * Niagra Falls - 60 miles * Erie Canal - 30 miles * Jello Museum - 20 miles * Attica - drop the bad ones off for an overnight visit - 20 miles * Wyoming County Country Fair - Tractor pulls, rides, etc.. • You can’t go wrong renting this amazing historic home on Silver Lake! Perfection. The photos tell it all. We loved sitting by the fire reading books or on the dock watching the eagles fly overhead. A wonderful place to relax and get away from it all!

  • This is the perfect cottage for a large group of people. It was fully stocked with everything we needed on a daily basis such as pans, cutlery and towels. Rooms were all great sizes. About a 15 minute drive from Walmart, Tims and other grocery stores. I would highly recommend booking this cottage. We loved every minute of it!
