We enjoyed a wonderful stay at Nick's cottage. It was clean, the beds were comfy and all the kitchen amenities we needed were provided. The location was superb. Morning coffee overlooking Lake Michigan was incredible. At night, it was so peaceful and quiet with just the sound of the waves. We are looking forward to visiting again. Thank you!

Our family rented Nicks cottage over the 4th of July week. We were very pleasantly surprised at the charm and the traditional family vibe of this cottage. The views from the cottage, deck and overlook platform are priceless!! The house is very conveniently located on a nice street only about 10 min from downtown holland. We were able to take convenient day trips to surrounding cities like Saugatuck, Grand Haven and Muskegon. The house has 3 bedrooms all same level included linens, towels, paper products and toiletries. It also has air conditioning and a washer and dryer, and dishwasher which were very convenient and surprising in an older home. We would highly recommend this cottage!!

Great communication beforehand, a cozy home in a peaceful country setting less than five minutes off the main road. LuAnn and Scott are very friendly and went out of their way to help me when I locked myself out of my car! Highly recommended.

Cannot write enough great things about not only Luann and Scott’s place, but themselves! So beyond hospitable and helpful and truly great people. Would never stay anywhere else when we are in the area! :)

We had a great weekend. This was a lovely space with amazing views of Lake Michigan. Even though it was cold and very windy, we were still able to enjoy the view and amazing sunset from inside the home. Marcia was very thoughtful and communicated well. This home is in a great location to explore Grand Haven or Holland.

Marcia’s home is remarkable in its presence right on Lake Michigan with stairs right down to a private beach (when the lake levels are lower). I can imagine how relaxing it would be to sit on the patio when the weather is warm enough. Facilities are nice and the bed was very comfortable.

Marcia was a great host! Her place was clean and I had plenty of room. It had great views of the lake and there was a small beach when I arrived so got to enjoy some time in the water. Would definitely recommend.

Marcia’s residence was amazing as we were able to view a beautiful sunset over Lake Michigan. Although we were not able to personally meet Marcia, she was excellent with communication throughout our stay ensuring we had everything needed plus offering local recommendations.

Great views and the charming quaint character of grandma’s beach cottage. Nothing fancy but a great value and a private beach. The stairs may be a bit of a challenge for some, but that comes with the terrain. I was pleased with my experience and would rent again.

The view was breathtaking! I read the other reviews and knew the house is on the older, outdated side. However, the location was worth it. My family had a great time overall!

Fabulous scenic location and view of Lake Michigan. Dated and rustic, but clean and comfortable.

Blue Escape is the quintessential Lake Michigan cottage of my long-ago youth. A bit rough and unassuming, but well-equipped and cozy-comfortable. The brilliance here is the deck, which sits high above the gorgeous big lake. Our mornings on the deck were just enchanting and restorative, and ultimately there were not nearly enough of them.

Place was clean and peaceful. Very great views of the lake and nice private beach!

This is a wonderful place to stay for the lake experience. Also, close to many, many interesting places to visit.

Beautiful view and property. The lake was clean and clear and shallow for the kids. We swam every day. - Dale is very helpful and responded quickly to questions - Spacious house with lots of seating, inside and out - Three bedrooms share one bathroom with tub. - Separate master suite has bathroom with walk-in shower. - There are a variety of stairs in the house and to the beach, but not difficult if you are in average condition. - Second refrigerator in lower level common area. - Ping pong and foosball on lower level. - Water is from a well - Holland to Grand Haven bike path across the street is great for walking/riding. Traffic moves fast on Lake Shore Drive so be careful crossing. All in all a great stay.

This is an outstanding house and an outstanding location. The interior of the house is beautifully done. There is a great view of the lake from the back of the house. We have stayed at other locations in the Holland area and this is by far the best.

My husband, in laws, almost two year old toddler, and I lived our stay at Dales. The house was well equipped for a very comfortable stay. We loved having easy and quick access to the beach which we used every day (it did have a number of stairs down to the beach area which our toddler needed help navigating). My in laws stayed in he master suite which was separate from the hallway of other bedrooms and made for some peace of mind- they wouldn't be disturbed by our son if he woke during the night and we were able to use a bedroom right across the hall from his. We loved the deck- it had tons of seating and we used it pretty much all day.

We stayed at Dale's place with 7 adults and 2 kids. It was perfect for our crowd, particularly the large family/dining room and the deck. The sunsets on the lake were wonderful along with the kayaking. Dale was very responsive. As other reviews mentioned, the beach area at the water is limited because the lake is high, but there is another beach area a dozen steps up from the water.

We've been renting Lake Michigan cottages for nine years, and this is the best one we've rented. Our family members range in age from 4 to 73, and we all enjoyed our stay., We had no problems going up or down the stairs to the beach. The children had a blast paying fooseball and ping pong in the lower level.. When we had a question, Dale responded immediately. The only negative I could think of is pretty minor: The beach is a bit narrow; when the lake is choppy, the waves can reach all the way to the stairs. But there is a sort of second beach higher up, where you can just relax in the sun. Altogether a very positive experience.

We had a week of perfect weather from sunrise to spectacular sunsets. Tom's cottage is eclectic, homey and had everything we needed. We brought our own towels, but sheets and bedding were provided. Bathroom is small but the outdoor shower was like stepping out into nature, we all enjoyed it immensely. The location is half way between Grand Haven and Holland, so it provided lots of day trips (blueberry farm on James St, wine tasting at Lemon Tree winery in Grand Haven) Tom provides suggestions for eateries. Nothing like sipping coffee in the morning looking out at Lake Michigan. Thank you Tom!

Jennifer’s place is clean and has beautiful views. We enjoyed the pool and the space this beautiful home provided for our family getaway with our kids and kiddos! We would highly recommend staying here!

Jennifer's home was extremely comfortable and definitely a "home away from home". We found everything we needed to cook several large meals, and the pool was a huge treat for our kids, especially with all the pool toys and towels available for guests. We feel lucky to have had the opportunity to stay at Jennifer and family's home.

This is the second time we have stayed and had a fantastic experience. We had several young children with us and they thoroughly enjoyed the pool. Highly recommended!

We had an amazing time. Enjoyed cycling (Amazing pathway for that) and the weather suited it. Great fire place, pool and sauna. Also, there is a private water space for fishing which we couldn't utilize. Great place and enjoyed the hospitality.

Really cool spot! I've done a lot of airbnb stays but I've never had my own private pool and sauna! The house is close to both Grand Haven and Holland, so we were also able to enjoy some time out as well. Check out the Sandy Point Beach House....great live music on Saturday night and an incredible wine and spirits list!

What an amazing space!! Jennifer and Tom included so many special touches to make our visit extra enjoyable. The pool is the perfect temperature and the space is very clean and comfy. I highly recommend staying here.

I was hoping to write something about my stay that no one else has said before. It seems that everyone else has had the exact amazing experience as my husband and I had! Jennifer's home is beautiful! The pool and sauna were beyond our expectations as well. The bed? Don't get me started on that bed. It's SOOO comfy!!!! Jennifer's little added touches such as the muffins and orange juice made it that much better. I don't think we'll ever go to a hotel again! We definitely plan to come back in the near future to enjoy the pool some more and relax! P.s. for those who like privacy this is the place for you. We were a little worried about staying at a bnb because we aren't very social people. You have nothing but privacy in Jennifer's home!

Tom and Jennifer are the best host ever. The house is comfy and warm just like you stay in your own house. The most amazing thing is Jennifer has always thought anything before you ask for that. i.e., she puts towels, bottled water, hair ties and waterproof bandages in the changing room before you go swimming. Besides, you will have a Whole swimming pool and sauna room. I can't describe how enjoyable my husband and I use those facilities. And the welcoming snacks, unlimited fruits and breakfast are awesome too. Everything here definitely worths the price and I do believe we will book this apartment again when going back to that area. This is a fantastic place to stay. It is very private. The bed is comfortable, and the room is very clean. Jennifer goes way beyond what is normal to make your stay pleasant. This is our second time to stay with her and likely we will be back again. We never have time to use the pool, but it looks very inviting. It is one of our very favorite places to stay.

A unique place to stay with having use of the pool and sauna! Private, lots of extra details, comfortable bed and a great host! Hope to return!

A really great space! Comfy, well-appointed, and complete with little surprises, like chocolates on your pillow for bedtime. Kathleen was quick to communicate with us about all of the details of our stay, including precise directions and how to easily access the private entry. The surroundings are woodsy and beautiful. For us, we needed to be able to access both Grand Haven and Holland easily, and this location was perfect. I would stay there again without hesitation.

This studio is fabulous! So much larger than expected, very private and beautiful space! The decorations are so amazingly thought out and themed well with the location. Overall, absolutely loved this spot! Great value!

We where very impressed with this location. The name, "The In-between Inn" is the perfect discription for this place. It is directly between Holland and Grand Haven, MI, and close to many other great costal towns along lake Michigan's shores. In three days we visited 5 beach towns, and found great treasures in each place. The room is very private, and the beach is only a short walk away. Kathy is a great caretaker, and the place is very clean and well appointed. She was very thoughtful, and even left us an anniversary gift that was a wonderful surprise. One big plus was that there is a beautiful multi purpose path located right at the top of their drive that runs for miles to the north and south on Lake Shore Drive. If you like to bike , run, or just take long walks to look at the beautiful homes, this feature is very convenient. We would recommend The in-between Inn to anyone, and hope to make it back someday!

We almost hate to acknowledge this place cause we want it all to ourselves! A great location, wonderful hosts and a very welcoming, clean and charming environment. As long as you don't try to book when we want it, all will be fine. :)

We had a wonderful, relaxing weekend as a family at Kathy's place! The lay out is very nice and cozy. The mini fridge also had a small freezer that held our ice packs, and the kitchenette was stocked with a dishcloth and dishtowel, dish soap, salt and pepper, toaster, coffee maker, coffee, dishes for eating, cutting board, and measuring cups and spoons. There is no thermostat in the apartment, so the air is not controlled by the guests, but it did not cause a problem. Just be prepared and bring a sweatshirt (or turn on the fire place :D)! And take Kathy's advice about going to Grand Haven for the nicer beaches. :)

We were a party of 8 and had a great stay at the Croswell Cabin with Ellie! The cabin was pretty clean, nicely decorated, and well equipped. Ellie is an absolute super host! She was very accessible and made sure we had a smooth check in/out and a comfortable stay. I certainly recommend staying with Ellie and we'd come back to the cabin soon!

What a fun space! We had plenty of room for 3 couples and 3 teenagers to hang out, spread out, and enjoy. The hot tub was a fun extra feature and the kitchen has everything you could possibly need. HUGE washing machine. Having bikes to use was really great too with the bike path right there. Plus the location — easy to get to Grand Haven or Holland or the beach, but secluded and serene at the same time. Ellen was so communicative and helpful. No WiFi didn’t even bother us. We were having too much fun enjoying everything else!

The Croswell Cabin was wonderful for our large multi-generational family “reunion.” Beautifully decorated and so comfortable. The kitchen was well-equipped with everything we needed for making and serving meals — perfect for those in our party with food allergies and the college students hungry for mom’s cooking. Several preferred using bottled water, but the well water was really not an issue. The yard and surroundings are peaceful and scenic, and we also enjoyed the nearby parks on the Lake. Being able to stay all together gave us so much time for laughter, visiting, and making memories. Loved it!

Very great house, and well laid out to have many places for people to hang out. It was a really pleasant stay, and we'll be back someday!

This place is a great spot for a couple who just like to relax or a single person running through town. Cities like Holland and Grand Haven are short drives away. The private beach didn't have much shoreline but the water is high this year. The only problem we really had was the size of the bed. It's listed as a queen but it's a full (a small one at that) But it's a small space and you work with what you have. This place was perfect for us! We appreciate the hospitality.

Gretchen was a great communicator and made me feel at-ease about the booking and check-in and everything! The cottage was perfect and sparkling clean! We LOVED our stay and would choose to go back, even though we live close!

This place was very cozy indeed. It’s perfect for two people and is close enough to a couple different parks nearby. We checked out Olive Shores and Kirk Park. The cottage was super clean, loved the fluffy bath towels and location. Would recommend!

This cottage was super cute, clean and cozy! We loved the big laundry room and tons of extra seating inside and out. The short walk to the private beach didn't work out for us. The tiny private beach was always very full and 1/2 mile away. We drove under a mile to a very nice park with a large nice beach. There is a nice asphalt walking trail right in front of the cottage that was nice. There is one full size bed...that is all for sleeping. Lots of nice soft towels and extra bedding.

We enjoyed our stay and the convenience of the location! Everything was clean and property manager was very friendly and easy to get in touch with!

We stayed with 3 one year olds and were thrilled with how baby proof-able the upstairs was. We installed one baby gate, moved a couple of trinkets and it was perfect! The television/Roku setup was convenient. The only tiny complaint is one bedroom in the downstairs did not have a door at the time of our trip.

Vicki's place is a great location with a ton to do nearby! From the shops of Holland to the beaches of Grand Haven, our 10-person family vacation was never dull. The kitchen is everything you want and the house is spacious and enjoyable. Loved!

We had a lot of fun at the cottage! This location is close to several different West Michigan cities where you can do a day trip to Michigan Adventure, spend the day at a Grand Haven Beach, or check out what Holland has to offer. We loved how spacious Vicki' s place was- which was perfect for our group of 5 Adults and 3 kids. We spent time and cooked meals in the kitchen, met local neighbors and just really enjoyed our time there.

Although some of the reviews were not good, I would say this place is perfect! The kitchen and dining area were all open and accommodated our group of 9 perfectly. There is also a small living room although we spent the majority of our time on the beautiful front porch with a perfect view of Lake Michigan. All of the beds were large. The walk to the beach is very short and then you come to a short set of stairs to the beach. I’d say about 50. However, with the water being so high, there has not been much beach along Lake Michigan this year. So we spent time at Kirk Park and Port Sheldon both less than a 5 minute drive away. Perfect location!

We had the most amazing time at Vicki’s house! My friends and I had a wonderful end of the summer reunion. The house is super cozy, clean, and everyone got a bed to sleep on! My family & I had a great vacation in this lovely home! It was spacious, very clean, nicely decorated, and had all the amenities it described. The kids loved all the beach toys! Lake Michigan Cottages was very responsive and nice to work with. The location was great, within a short drive to several beaches, and a short walk to see the beautiful sunsets at the neighborhood private beach. Due to the high water level of Lake Michigan, there wasn't any beachfront at the closest access point, but we had anticipated that, and found some at the next access point about a block away. Overall, it was a great stay in a great home! We would definitely recommend it!

Good location.

This is a beautiful location right on Lake Michigan with direct access to the beach. The home is well equipped and they have added many lovely touches, like shampoo and conditioner, many staples for cooking, lots of beach chairs, beach towels, floats and umbrellas. Our extended family had a lovely stay.

This home was the perfect location and had the perfect setup for an adults weekend away. The outdoor space was plenty big for the 11 adults we had staying, the views were beautiful and we were able to relax and enjoy each other’s company without worrying about anything. A short walk down the beach and we were able to have an evening beach bonfire! And a quick car ride away we got to explore Saugatuck. I would recommend this home to anyone looking for a relaxing and quiet beach week. Susan was super communicative and the whole experience was easy.

The location of this rental is incredible. In a year where Lake Michigan beaches have disappeared due to high Lake levels...West Olive has a BEACH!. The place was clean and had everything you would need. Susan is a delight and eager to help.

Gorgeous lake house! Peaceful location that fit my family for a local wedding. Loved the view of Lake Michigan & the proximity to many cute local lake towns. Would definitely recommend!

Several cars can be parked at this place - two in the garage and then there is room for extra parking close to the complex.

The photos don't do it justice. It was an incredible place full of natural beauty and perfect for lounging. The house was well-appointed and easily housed our group of 10. Check-in was easy and communication was great. I'd come back again and again if I could! I left feeling extremely happy with the trip.

Bluewater Inn is ideal for a cottage getaway. Tucked in at the top of a dune, the view is amazing. Sunsets were amazing to watch from the patio. The indoor screen porch was great for being outside and escaping bugs at night.

This house was AMAZINGGGGG!!! We had 9 adults and 5 children and there was more than enough space for all of us. This place exceeded our expectations in every way. We loved everything about it. Owners and management were great. We rented a boat and drove on Lake Michigan back to the house the view is magnificent. The neighbors were so friendly and informed us about plenty local attractions. I wish we could give more than 5 stars. We will be returning ASAP. Thanks for making our annual family vacation awesome.

Beautiful view, comfy cozy.

Our group of 10 had a great week at Bluewater from July 28th to August 4th this year! Kim's 2-level cottage is pretty much as described . . . . small but cozy, with nice screened porch on the lower level and a deck just outside the living/dining/kitchen area on the upper level . . . both with beautiful views of the Lake Michigan shoreline which is a couple of minutes' walk down about 50 wooden steps and out over the sandy level foredune area between the cottage and the shore. Kim was extremely timely in her response to my initial inquiry and also thereafter to answer additional questions I had. Mike, Kim's Bluewater neighbor, met us upon our arrival on Saturday afternoon and gave us a great tour of the cottage and introduction to the area. He was also quick to respond with suggestions for local attractions and to give us a really informative web link to a nearby Lake Michigan buoy that provided live information on water temperature, wind speed, wave height, and weather forecasts! When we could tear ourselves away from the beach and the water, we thoroughly enjoyed visiting the Holland Farmer's Market on Wednesday morning, kayaking up the Pigeon River (rented kayaks from Kayak-Kayak at the put-in, and exploring the Rosy Mound Natural Area which is about 10 miles north of Bluewater. You'll have a great time at Bluewater . . . . especially if you're fortunate, as we were, to have seven perfect weather days with seven beautiful sunsets to watch as you're eating dinner on the upper deck!

This home was great! The views were amazing, the location was great, and the home itself was beautiful and accommodating for 10 people. Just a short walk from the porch your are on the shores of Lake Michigan. There is a nice beach and fire pits. Kim the host responded quickly to any questions we had during our stay. The neighboring cottages are very close together and dunes surround them so as you can imagine the sound travels easily. So just be aware of your volume during quiet hours and you'll be golden! I definitely recommend staying here.

Plenty of space. Three different living areas. There were 5 adults and 5 grandchildren. The in ground trampoline was a huge success, as well as the fire pit. The place was immaculate.

This is a spacious house in an amazing location! Perfect for outdoor people who love wildlife. Turkeys, squirrels, and deer visited us every morning. We sat on the porch or in front room drinking our morning coffee while our visitors enjoyed their breakfast in the backyard. The garage added an extra space with a second full size refrigerator, furniture, TV, and ceiling fans! Sincerely enjoyed our 1 week stay. Most important... Lisa was awesome with her quick responses to our questions! Thank you, Lisa!!!

Great place in a great location. We saw deer and wild turkeys on the property every day. Just a short walk to Lake Michigan. We couldn't swim there because the beach was closed due to the height of the water, but still a great view!

This is a great, secluded location in the woods. We loved the privacy of it and enjoyed watching the wildlife (e.g. deer and turkeys) wander through the property. It is within a short walk to a park that has easy access to Lake Michigan. We enjoyed sitting around the fire pit at night. There is plenty of space to spread out in this home.

This is a spacious and clean house nicely decorated in a private wooded location close to Lake Michigan. We walked to the local beach and also drove to Holland State Park. We enjoyed a fire in the fire-pit surrounded by beautiful pine trees making our visit quiet and private. The owners were very helpful and accommodating. We will definitely rent this house again!

We had a great time. The sunsets were incredible. We did put the ladder that is in the basement at the end of the path going down to the lake and it worked great. I knew we had to bring our own bath and beach towels, but I should have brought some extra dish towels as there was only one. We would definitely go back and wish we would have stayed longer. This was the perfect place for what we needed. The house was immaculate- the kitchen has more than enough of pots, pans, dishes etc. The bedrooms upstairs have 2 queen beds and all the mattresses are really nice. The bathrooms are all very nice and great water pressure and plenty of hot water. The view of the lake is just beautiful. Yes the beach has been washed out but all the Great lakes are high. There is access to the beach on the south side of the property- a bit of a climb but definitely worth going down for a swim. The sunsets are the best - so pretty. I would not hesitate to book this again.

Everything was great! The beach at the end of the stairs has been eroded but there’s a small shared access point a few steps south. The view is still gorgeous and worth every penny. We ended up driving 10 mins to Holland State Park for beach access. There are plenty of cooking utensils and pots and pans. The appliances were all up to date which was great! The TV in the living room is hooked up to satellite but bringing a streaming device to watch on other TVs is something I’d suggest if there’s downtime.

It was a beautiful house and a wonderful place to gather.

The Blue Cottage is fantastic. It’s warm, inviting and rich with character and cozy charm. The amenities are all one should want for a hidden gem on Lake Michigan. A perfect place to unplug and get lost into a quick vacation, or weekend getaway.

"The blue cottage" lived up to all our expectations. It had a spectacularly beautiful view from the living room, the screened in porch and the outdoor patio. I sat on the patio and counted at least 15 monarch butterflies migrating over the dune grass, watched the Canadian geese fly south and the Seagulls float on the lake. So Peaceful and serene. The owners made us feel very welcome and gave us many tips on where to go in the area.

A great location and a great host. Having access to your own private beach to swim and watch the sunsets was amazing. Yet, you are located near many great public beaches and parks plus you are within 15-20minutes of several great towns which all have their own unique things to do. I highly recommend the Blue Cottage for a single family with kids of all ages. You won't be disappointed with the view.

The Blue Cottage is a vintage, quaint, very clean cottage right on Lake Michigan. It is in a quiet and peaceful beach community and the sunsets are amazing. We enjoyed quality family time together in a beautiful setting. Sharon is a wonderful and accommodating host. She is highly vested in the Blue Cottage and one gets the impression that it is a sentimental place for her.

Wonderful place to stay with family! Great location and community. Everyone is very friendly and welcoming! We hope to come back!

The house house was incredibly clean and had everything you need for a big group or family weekend with a well stocked kitchen, plenty of toys and room for kids to play and a short walk from the beach! The deck was great for morning coffee and evening s’mores. Everyone in our group had a wonderful time.

Our group consisted of 3 families, including 6 adults and children ages 7 months - 6 years. This house perfectly met our needs and was spotless upon arrival. Plenty of space to spread out. The kids LOVED the play room. We greatly appreciated the amenities for the babies (high chairs, pack n play, baby monitor, baby spoons, etc). The baby pool and play structure were a hit with all the kids when we decided not to go to the beach. The kitchen and bathrooms were stocked with everything we needed. We enjoyed the seclusion of Colfax, but were able to get to things relatively quickly. The water levels were high, but there was still room for us on the association beach (a short walk with LOTS of stairs as previously mentioned!). We opted for Grand Haven State Park one day (about 25 min drive). We also recommend mini golf and ice cream at Captain Sundae in Holland (located on Douglas Ave). Communication upon booking and closer to the trip was a breeze. All in all, we all enjoyed our stay and definitely recommend this beautiful home! Great location midway between Grand Haven and Holland.

We had a great family vacation with 6 adults, 4 children and two babies. There was room for everyone. The house is clean and well appointed in a wooded area. Lake views are walkable but because the water was so high we needed to drive to a usable beach. Hosts have provided information for everything needed.

Home was great for my family vacation with 7 adults and 6 kids under 5. It is a lot of stairs so if that is an issue for any guests I would keep in mind. Great space right off the main living area for the kids to play or watch a TV show while the adults chatted or prepared dinner.

Beautiful house with anything needed for a relaxing weekend. Great house with ample space for kids to play. Lots of room to spread out. Walk to the beach was about 10 minutes and over 150 steps, so not ideal for a beach spot, but the house more than made up for this with plenty to do. Would stay here again for sure!

Colfax is a great place for a family reunion. The house is gorgeous and the scenery is even nicer. There are many stairs and hills, so come prepared!

Very nice place to stay. Excellent amenities, very clean. Fifteen to 20 min to get to Holland which has many restaurants and other entertainment options. Lots of things for the kids to do, inside and outside. Binder provided with info about parks and walking trails. Very nice garden area which attracted many butterflies the week we were there. Nice grill and outdoor seating area, as well as a large picnic table. All in all, we were very satisfied with our stay.

This place was even better than expected. With 2 families and 6 kids under 8, we had plenty of room to spread out. It was bright and airy and very well equipped. From nightlights in the kids rooms to the toy area and plastic plates and cups, it was super kid friendly. The beach box with chairs and toys was very nice so that we didn't need to lug all of that with us on the 10 min walk to the beach. We would definitely recommend it for a family vacation to Lake Michigan.

You will love this unique house and all it has to offer. Definitely comfortable for a larger group. Being right on Lake Michigan was a huge plus. Highly recommended.

The house is comfortable, secluded, and extremely stylish. I stayed here with a group of 12 people, and we had ample space. Great place to stay if you're looking for a large, private house in a wooded area. About 15 minutes from both Grand Haven and Holland - we went to both during our stay. The basement and fireplace are very cozy. Smart fridge and kitchen made cooking/storing food for the weekend easy. The ducks on the property are extremely friendly. They WILL come right up to you, and may even surround your car, so have to be careful when driving/backing up. Maranda was an excellent host! Very communicative, and left some nice personal touches to welcome us when she knew we were celebrating a special occasion. Checking-in was super easy. Would absolutely recommend this place for a woodsy weekend getaway!

The Farmhouse Retreat was our home away from home recently for family members from several states. In Michigan for a wedding, we loved having a place to hang out before and after the festivities. Maranda’s place Is lovely in every way. You will not be disappointed.

Maranda was AMAZING! The house was really cozy and clean. We had 13 people staying and it was not congested at all. We will definitely visit again if ever in the area.

Our group had a wonderful stay at Maranda’s home. Her space exceeded our expectations from its cleanliness to its over all style and charm. The 10 of us felt very comfortable, and there was more than enough space for all of us. We also really enjoyed the three ducks that live on the property! They were adorable and a fun addition to the weekend. Moreover, the home’s location could not be more perfect with close access to the beach, groceries, and downtown Grand Haven. Maranda was very thoughtful and responded quickly via text. We enjoyed our stay, and we hope to be back soon!

Maranda’s home was super clean and stocked with all sorts of amenities. She even gave us fresh blueberries when we checked in. The overall experience was awesome, the house was located on a quite street but 10 minutes drive away from Holland and 5 minutes away from the beach. We had a party of 8 and enjoyed staying at this house very much. The best kept secret is the 3 ducks living on the property, the ducks are super friendly and interactive. The kids enjoyed the ducks more than the beaches! We absolutely loved this trip and hope to come back to visit again! Thank you Maranda!

Our stay at Maranda's place was more than perfect- we didn't think the pictures did this place justice! We had a group of 10 and there was more than enough space for all of us, their home is so cute, and everything was very clean and laid out perfectly for us. Maranda's place is in the perfect location- just enough off the beaten path where you can see all of the stars and really feel you're away from it all, but also reach a Meijer about 10-15 minutes down the road. Perfect location for visiting Grand Haven and Holland too! Maranda was a great host and made us feel comfortable in her home. She responded quickly via message, answered every question fully, left us an adorable note and snacks on the kitchen counter, and her husband even chopped and left firewood for us! There are ducks on the property that loved to interact with all of us and enjoyed treats- definitely a bonus. We loved our stay here and would definitely stay here again!
