Lovely cottage on a quiet pedestrian street and a garden that is on the water. The house was very clean, warm and a good size for a family. Winsum has good amenities and is well placed for day trips to the islands.

We had a great stay. Everything that was needed could be found in the home. Nice location in the middle of the village. Good parking.

We enjoyed our stay at Kees‘ lovely home very much! The key box made checkin/checkout super simple and is also very useful when you‘re travelling in a larger group.

This is the second time that we have stayed in Kees’ house in Winsum. We love it because it is located in a cosy dutch town where everything you need is in walking distance … the grocery and other shops, the cafes and restaurants. My husband’s glasses broke and even the optometrist was just walking distance down the road! And the house is right on the canal so you experience a typical dutch way of living. We loved it that the house is lovely and warm, very much appreciated when you have temperatures of 1 – 7 degrees during the day. And the fact that the house is old adds to the experience and appreciation for the history in the area. Highly recommended!

This was a perfect place for our stay. The cottage is cozy, quiet, and clean. The town is charming, and food stores are conveniently close by. It was a delight to be staying on a pedestrian street, with no traffic and just the sounds of village life. We would not hesitate to stay at Kees’s cottage in the future.

The skipper's house of Niek and Wieske is the perfect place to stay in Groningen! It is an incredibly cute house near the Noorderplantsoen. The cottage has everything you need: nice shower, nice kitchen and there are even bicycles that you can use. The house is completely clean. The contact with Niek and Wieske was quick and pleasant. The house fits exactly for 2, is very nicely decorated and is comfortable. You can easily walk into the city, there are bicycles to go back to the Forum in the evening. Totally fun!

Very nice house that gets warm quickly by the gas stove, wonderful beds and beautiful atmosphere that has been lovingly decorated! We did not use bicycles (the weather was so heavy with rain you get so wet on the bike), but with a fifteen minute walk you are in the city center! Thank you for your hospitality !!

We spent a weekend in the great house of Niek & Wieske; great location right in the center, squeaky clean and everything you need. Those who like tiny living will love Zwardeweg 60;) Super fast and easy communication, supermarket right next door and a highly recommended Indian restaurant just 2 minutes away. The park and lots of greenery right on the doorstep, perfect for anyone who likes to run or otherwise want to do sports. Groningen itself is very cute and has a lot to offer, our Amsterdam in "small". We will definitely be back.

Roelie welcomes you with open arms. The room is beautiful and spacious, as is the bathroom. Rarely slept in such a good bed! Also got a very nice breakfast. Excellent accommodation. Very comfortable bed, sparkling clean room and large bathroom which is private to you. TV, wifi, fridge, lots of plugs supplied. The owner is on hand to help but it’s a very private space. Breakfast is plentiful, ordered in advance, and delivered to your room. Pleasant 30 minute walk into the city centre. Very helpful host, would definitely stay again.

The accommodation was clean, the bedroom and the bathroom were also nice big. The bed is super comfortable and electrically adjustable. (A nice amenity, which one also for home wishes.) Alletta is a super hostess! We came to stay overnight after a walk on the Pietenpad. However, we ended up in a small wellness resort. After the tough journey it was a bit of a switch but it turned out to get used to quickly. We will definitely come back!

A lovely place, in a prime location, (we walked the first part of the Pieterpad is a great base) The Yurt is a fantastic place to stay, Aletta a top hostess, friendly, delicious breakfast and we enjoyed the sauna and jacuzzi and massage (highly recommended) In short, a location and hostess who deserves a big 10. I had a wonderful stay here! Was there to figure some administrative things out for when I move in July, and I couldn’t have asked for a better AirBnB experience! The room was nicer than it looked in the photos, and Tom included everything I could have thought of. The hairdryer had all of the attachments, and there was even some drinks in the mini fridge! Tom was very friendly, and wanted to make sure I had everything I needed, and I did. Location is a little bit outside the city, but only about 10mins by bike, which he lent to me so I wouldn’t have to walk. He has two cats who are just the sweetest as well. Overall, could not be happier!

The room and bed are quite nice and the apartment is located in a quiet area which is approx. a 10min walk away from the centre. Marlen was a lovely host and had some good tips on arrival for what to do in the city.

We had a very comfortable night at Claudia's place. The bedroom was very clean and well equipped. We had our own toilet and use of the shower in their bathroom as well as well as the offer to put food in the fridge. The house is in a great location only a few minutes drive from the city centre.

Large, stylish room in the attic with its own table and tea / coffee facilities. The toilet is on the ground floor. Through the living room and kitchen you come to the large (shared) bathroom. The house is beautiful and it is very quiet. Nice and quick contact with Claudia. You get great value for money!

I greatly enjoyed the stay at Claudia's place. The room is really cosy and clean. The street is very quiet and the views are amazing. The location seemed a bit far from the centre at first but it's just perfect on a bike. The ride takes 15 minutes and it's lovely.

Big and clean apartment, easy communication, would recommend

We had a nice stay in Groningen, the flat was comfortable and spacious. It was easy to get to and the checkin was simple as well. All in all it was a good price / performance ratio and we had everything we needed. Just the floor could have been a little bit cleaner, but otherweise theres nothing to compain. (: Great!

David & Marieke's apartment is large and spacious it has everything you could possibly need, including the use of the 2 bikes ! The local supermarket is also close by. Responses were also quick and efficient. If you choose to walk, the apartment is a good 20/25 minutes walk from Groningen Centre but it is pleasant, a straight road and easy to navigate. It was everything we needed for our stay as well as good value for money !

Real Nice Flat. You'll get everything you need and the city center isn't far away. You can easily reach it by a short walk.

The house is amazing, very spacious (really big rooms), clean and in great location. We were extremely happy with our stay there. Plus also you don't need to climb steep stairs! It is a great find! David and his wife are great as well.

Really close located to Zernike Campus, so perfect if you’re there for a work trip. The room is small but warm and cozy and if you’re out most of the time just perfect! The host is very hospitable and she tries to make you feel as comfortable as possible. We stayed two weeks here, the location of the room is great... you have bus station, supermarkets, restaurants and also a bar just walking a few minutes...also the Zermike campus. However the most important is the awesome host... always supporting all doubts & questions.

I have really enjoyed my stay at Tineke's place. She was very forthcoming as a host, with any questions or needs I had. The room is very quiet and you are pretty much left to yourself for the whole duration of your stay. Also the cat Mike is lovely to encounter every time. I'm new to the whole Airbnb concept, but I needed a place to stay for several weeks and was very happy with what I got. Tineke is the nicest host you could hope for, flexible and always very easy to talk to, and the location of the house is lovely as well, an easy bus (or bike) ride away from the centre. The house itself, Tineke makes it quite clear in her descriptions what to expect. To anyone complaining about cleanliness, I can only say: you're not coming to a hotel, you're staying at someone else's house, and the prices are among the lowest in the area. You can't be shopping for the cheapest options AND demand a hotel experience. But it sure is a LOT nicer than most hostels I've ever been to.

Comfortable room in a very relaxed house. Felt immediately at ease with the relaxed reception. A new luxury kitchen had just been installed. Very nice bed. Room is on the side of a fairly busy motorway. All in all an excellent price / quality ratio.

This is a small but efficient space near the Zernike campus and in a very pleasant neighborhood of Groningen. Also, it's an enjoyable 10-15 minute cycle into the town center. Lisa and Micha are both very helpful and easy-going, and were very welcoming. I'd recommend this space to anyone who is traveling alone or interested in being close to the Zernike campus.

Beautiful rural location with cozy animals around you, you really feel on the farm. Nicely furnished mobile home, with a good bed, slightly too small shower, but otherwise great to stay. Nice welcome and excellent service from Hugo.

A nice and welcoming place to stay, easily accessible from Groningen. A piece of rest near this city, and everything is available. The wood burning stove was already burning when we arrived, extra nice during these icy days! And: for my four-year-old daughter, the horses, sheep, chickens and newborn lambs were an attraction in themselves :)

What a great place to spend the night. The small apartment is clean and overlooks an open space where you can relax after a nice walk. The small terrace overlooks the setting sun. Highly recommended to spend the night between the first and the second stage of the Pieterpad!

The house is in a beautiful location in Winsum. The supermarket / pub / restaurants / shops are all within a 5-minute walk. The train station to Groningen within 10 minutes walk. The house itself is nicely decorated, clean, complete and with a nice bed. The owner communicates quickly and easily. All in all a great place.

Iris and Dirk are fantastic hosts. Super friendly and helpful! The room was beautiful, warm and full of thoughtful touches like extra blankets, tea,coffee, jam and some breads, a little bar fridge, some toiletries, warm towels etc . And they lent us their bikes! Having a seperate bedroom (with a big comfy bed), lounge room and bathroom felt like our own little apartment :) We have felt comfortable and welcome in their house for the entirety of our stay. A clean and very tastefully decorated apartment. Very hospitable welcome. Many extras such as fresh flowers and some goodies with coffee which gives you the same feeling of welcome and home feeling. Stay becomes pampered moment. Although it is in the building itself you have your own "wing" which gives great sense of privacy. Super nice big shower with nice bath sheets. Quietly situated on a park so you slept well. Good bed. And yet the city center is easily accessible. Highly recommended !! Also good for foreigners because they speak English well)

At first I was a bit afraid of my privacy, since the rented space is in the house. But it soon turned out that I had nothing to fear. The rented spaces (with their own large bathroom) are at the end of the corridor, which is around the corner. This ensures that you are separated from the real living area. I think the bathroom is just new. It feels modern and fresh. I had forgotten my shampoo, but luckily this was present. The living room and bedroom are very cozy and warmly decorated. It is clear that Iris has a good eye for detail. Very nice (and neat) spaces! In addition to the fact that all basic elements are present (including a fantastic bed!), Attention has also been paid to the little extra things. Such as a glass of wine for the evening and some goodies for the morning. Here too, thought has been given to the presentation. Finally, I would like to mention that the contact with Iris was very nice. She responds quickly and easily. Highly recommended!

The place is just 6 min away to the UMCG by bike and around 10-12 min to the city centre. The neighbourhood has a very family environment and has two food stores and a pharmacy really close. Gino was a fantastic host and very friendly. He was very supportive during my whole stay going beyond his sole duties as host. I would definitely stay with him again if given the chance.

Fantastic new apartment in an old stable in the middle of the meadows. Lots of privacy and tranquility, but also Hammingh café within walking distance. Absolute must.

Enchanting location. What a beauty and what pure. Lovely bed even though it was two single beds. Inez reacts quickly and is super friendly. The breakfast basket was composed with care and care and very romantic. An outdoor seat would make it complete, although the table and chairs inside are so outside ;-)

Ms Brenda is very polite and friendly! Her house is very very very clean, charm, and the bed and pillow are awesome! Around 100 steps from the house, you can find two supermarkets, toy shop, paper shop, a "restaurant".... that is a sort of small mall. Besides this "mall", it is the bus stop... I mean, the house is in a place very easy for daily tasks. I strongly recommend this place.

Really great space that we loved. The house has everything you need to cook with good quality utensils and sharp knives. Well provisioned with soap, towels and all that you would hope for.

Beautiful stylish house in very pretty quiet part of the city. Centre 5 / 10 mins walk away and host was very accommodating with welcoming breakfast for our first night and late check out. Highly recommended. Only think to be wary of is very narrow spiral staircase to bedrooms and bathroom downstairs. Wasn’t a problem for us but worth knowing

Great stay during Eurosonic / Noorderslag! Both the location with only 5 minutes by bike to the center, and the house itself. Very well kept and really everything has been thought of, we felt very welcome. The house is in a very nice neighborhood in a quiet street. We were warmly welcomed by Bianca herself, she is a fantastic hostess, that you see and feel everywhere in the house. We are happy to come back here and can heartily recommend this stay.

The cottage is really delicious. Everything is present! Even things you don't think about yourself have Bianca thought of. There was even a breakfast in the fridge for me. Perfectly arranged, super neat and clean. You could not wish for more.

That rare instance where the house is precisely as described and photographed. Stylish, clean, close enough to the city so that the attractions and night life are easily accessible but far enough away so that they are not intrusive. We chose to stay in most nights using the amenities, such as the well outfitted kitchen. The only quirk, a small complaint with the central staircase which is not the easiest to navigate. Regardless, we unreservedly recommend the house and Bianca. What you see is what you’ll get!

The house is very special, the kitchen I like the most, everything is fine

Sanne's place is very warm and homey, full of plants and extra cushions. It is such a lovely space; clean with everything you need and a convenient walk to both Zernike campus and the centre of town. The Noorderplantsoen is very near and a lovely space to walk in. We were very comfortable during our stay.

Perfect place. Spaceous, a real Dutch home, with a great style. Loved staying here. Sanne is super easy and flexible, really responsive and just cool. Highly recommended.

The place was spacious and in a great location. You can easily walk to all the main sights in Groningen. The flat is close to a train station if you want to go further afield. It felt homely and comfortable. Sanne was always very responsive and helpful.

We had a great time at Sanne's house, the location is very convenient (~20 min walk from the city centre; there's a beautiful park nearby and quite big supermarket that can be reached in under 10 min by foot). It was super easy to communicate with the host, we always got a quick response to all our questions. Definitely would stay here again!
