This place really is a little hidden gem. nestling against the side of the mountain and surrounded by beautiful gardens with amazing big trees and artwork. Glenda and Gavin made our stay a happy one and looked after us really well. Appreciated all the little thoughtful touches that made us feel more than welcome.

The accommodation is very spacious and beautifully decorated. There is a lot of space. The garden is an absolute dream! The location is in a safe area and only about 3km from Kirstenbosch. Breakfast is excellent. Glenda is a great host. You feel very comfortable; like friends!

Urban Oasis is a very nice place to stay if you want to explore Cape Town and its surroundings. It also has several nice restaurants nearby. It was the second time for us to visit Urban Oasis and probably not the last time. Glenda is very helpfull and knows the all the places you want and should visit. A wonderfull place to stay ....

Glenda's place is heavenly in every way from location to design to convenience. Her hospitality is top notch and her knowledge about the region and its history is incredible. I would highly recommend this place to anyone who wants to experience the local culture, design and history.

This was probably one of my best AirBnB experiences to date. The space, comfort of the bed, kitchen, location, cleanliness and hospitality exceeded all my expectations. This is the perfect hide-away and you’ll never know you’re in a city. Traffic noises are replaced by bird sounds and the white noise of a little water stream. It’s serene but yet, it’s a 2minute walk to one of Cape Town’s most iconic pubs and other wonderful restaurants and shops. The hosts are warm, friendly and always willing to help. I can truly say they go the extra mile. Highly recommended. I’ll certainly be back.

This is an amazing place. Very clean, great view and a wonderful area for food, drinks and coffee. It is steps from the beach and an easy Uber ride to other points in Cape Town. We stayed here for 2 nights before our 7 day tour, and another night after our tour. It worked out very well!

My husband and I loved our stay! The ocean views from every room are amazing and we really enjoyed sitting on the ocean view porch in the mornings and evenings. We felt very safe in the area, complex and condo itself. We walked to several very nice lunches and dinners. The condo was very well appointed with a full kitchen and comfortable beds. We would definitely recommend Liz's place and would love to stay here again!

We had a great time in that Apartment. The location is great. With a view of the sea and Table Mountain. The fact that restaurants and shops are within walking distance made it very pleasant. The layout of the apartment is very well thought out and was optimal for the four of us.

Every time I come back to Johannesdal I feel home instantly. Its a magical place and it calms you down the moment you enter. Morning swims while the sun is rising behind the mountains, enjoying a lush breakfast on the beautiful terrace chilling in the beautiful garden during the day, listening to the sounds of nature while lighting a fire in the braai. It has all everyone needs for the best time out ever. I’ve been coming for years and will come back whenever I can. Its love.

From the moment we arrived we were made to feel welcome. Chris’ hospitality was second to none! He was tentative and kind and made us feel welcome in their magnificent home. The place is filled with a menagerie of the most interesting things - it’s eclectic and a pastiche of cultural artefacts that keep you interested. The fridge was stocked and made it feel like a home from home. The best airbnb we’ve stayed in and trust us we’ve stayed in a fair few. The view is spectacular, the staff absolutely delightful. Wow is an understatement.

This is one of the most special Airbnbs we've ever stayed in! Chris was super easy to communicate with, and included tons of special touches (we were especially keen on the fresh bread delivered in the mornings). Would definitely recommend Chris' place.

Johannesdal and the people who make the place work are magical. The home itself is spectacular and so full of character you could spend your whole time there talking with it. Chris went above and beyond as a host - quick to reply to requests and always on hand if we needed him. The wonderful house team kept the place sparkling and the security was excellent. We felt safe, welcome and thoroughly looked after. This is such a special home and grounds in a thoroughly spectacular setting. The only drawback of staying there is you might not want to leave!

Living the Dream!! The flower house is absolutely stunning!!! After a very friendly welcome, we got an introduction of the house - this is like visiting a museum and a flower paradise. Every room is so special and designed with so much love!! We were absolutely amazed as they showed us on top the filled fridge with every kind of drinks and breakfast things and everything included. Chris even brought us fresh bred every morning. Sydney the housekeeper does absolutely everything to make your wishes come true and he is such a great guy!! Also the security guy is so lovely and takes care of you every night!! Absolutely stunning service!! There is also a library of any kind of music and as we started the music, which you can hear in the whole house, all of us had goose bumps for hours because we thought we are in a dream land!! I can’t describe in words how amazing the house is!! It’s perfectly located in the middle of the vineyards with the greatest views and once again the decoration and architecture of the house is a piece of art!!! We celebrated my 40s birthday in the house and Chris even recommend us a chef who cooked for us while we were just enjoying every single second!! It was my greatest birthday I ever had especially because of the house and the friendliness of everyone, me and my guests will never forget that days!! Thank you for that great experience and all your care during the days Chris and Sydney!! We absolutely recommend the house - just go there and live the dream as well!! We will come back for sure!!

This place is fantastic. Moenier is a wonderful host. He took me around Cape Town my first day and gave me many tips. The apartment is great - he left snacks, milk, juice, and everything one would need for a pleasant stay. His staff is available to assist if you need anything. The neighborhood is quiet, and only 5-10 mins from the CBD. You can feel safe walking in this neighborhood at anytime of day/night. And the views from this place are stellar. Highly recommend!

Helga is an amazing host! From the day I got in till the day I left, I felt so cared for an looked after. As a tourist who knew no one in Capetown, Helga was my go-to. Her apartment is exactly as you see in the pictures, rustic modernity. And she leaves thoughtful stuff like food to snack on or get you by whilst you settle in. Helga' s superhuman quality shone through this one night when I went out late and was almost stranded; Helga drive to me downtown and saved me. I totally am coming back to CT and will only stay only at Helga's at the 'Obs' as Capetonians call it....

This loft is a gem. It's big, stylish, comfortable and cozy. There are so many lovely details and the flat had all I needed. A very comfortable bed, a well equipped kitchen (even a nutribullet mixer, just awesome!) with a large table, washing machine, many sitting options and netflix. My favourite spot was a chair in the livingroom from which you can enjoy the evening sun an sunset between table mountain and lions head. Helga is such a friendly and lovely host. She did everything to let me check in early and was always responding quick to all of my questions. Woodstock and its amazing old biscuit mill is within walking distance.

We were in the area for a wedding and needed something handy and nearby, this spot was just perfect, has everything you need and is beautifully put together. Loved the little private stoep too. I made the most of the stables next door and went for a ride, Chrismie was so accommodating of our check in times and was incredibly helpful with everything. Would highly recommend.

Nice room in a beautiful Location. All We need for two nights with our Baby! Chrismie and her husband are perfect hosts, they even allowed us to bath our Baby in their bathroom and Made a Personal wine tasting for us! Absolutely recommended!

A charming country house with thatch roof and sprawling garden, with vineyard and hill views. Super room and bathroom with its own outdoor area to sit out, very comfortable bed. We picked it because very close to Lanzerac winery, and were very lucky because Chrismie's husband also produces wine, and it is really good. We wished we could have bought more from him. So lots of reasons to stop here!

What lovely place and such good value for money. We were greeted so nicely and shown to our room. There was a whole info guide on whats on in the area with contacts etc. We bought a bottle of wine made on the little farm - still yet to try it 😜. I highly recommend this little place as a place to rest your heads after long days out exploring all that beautiful Stellenbosch has to offer. An absolute gem in Stellenbosch. Close to town but not that close that all the hustle and bustle will interrupt your retreat. The place is spacious and has a lovely outside seating area. It is spotless and the amenities are fantastic. Sue's recommendations on restaurants and wine farms are absolutely amazing and it gives you the opportunity to experience the area like a local would instead of only going to the over commercialised wine farms. This is really an awesome little place that gets looked after with passion and love. You will not regret staying here.

A lovely clean quiet and cool flat in a safe and pretty garfen.

This is a little oasis away from the hustle and bustle of the town of Stellenbosch and a perfect base from which to explore the beautiful wine region. The annex is full of light and overlooks a lovely garden... Everything is sparkling clean and very welcoming - great shower and adequate kitchen facilities. We would have loved to stay longer and will hopefully return at a later date. Kevin was very helpful and accommodating - a great host!

Perfect !! that's the word that best sums up this place. The communication with Kevin before the arrival is precise and fast, on the spot the couple is really charming. The studio is very bright, clean, pleasant, airy, comfortable. The equipment is nickel. It's super calm. We saw on the charming garden, we have access to a beautiful terrace and even the swimming pool! We are a few minutes from the city. It really is a great place to visit the area, we would love to come back here if we come back to the area. Highly recommended, perfect place and lovely hosts. Thanks a lot and all the best for you.

Josh's place is a home away from home. It is stunning and has all the amenities you need that will make your stay comfortable and relaxing. We enjoyed the fact that it was located away from the busy town centre and wasn't too far from Strand, if you wanted to take a stroll on the beach after a busy work day. Josh and Renier were really hospitable and were quick to respond to a query. Thank you for opening your home up to us. I will definitely recommend the unit to family and friends who are passing through the area for business or pleasure.

Property is located in a beautiful winery in Stellenbosch. The scenery was just amazing!! Plus we had a free wine tasting!! Peonie was a great host - kept in contact with us through the stay to check if there was anything we needed. The pool on the property was lovely and had great views of the area from it. The only downside was that it took us 45 minutes to walk to central Stellenbosch however we were able to get an Uber quickly and easily.

We loved our time at Poenie’s and couldn’t have wished for a better, more caring host. Beautifully furnished, lovely and clean, great views, very peaceful and the added bonus of being on a vineyard that makes really good wine! Easy to get into Stellenbosch with a very short Uber ride.

This is a tremendous place with fabulous facilities in a stunning location. Poenie is a tremendous host, willing to go the extra mile to make sure her guests are comfortable. You will not be disappointed with this lovely studio.

One of our best accomodations, when we where traveling through south africa. Unfortunatly we only stayed there for one night, but it was definetly worth it. A wine tasting was included in the price and we had a nice BBQ in the evening. Poenie makes sure that you have everything that you need and response to you questions very quickly! Next time we will stay there much longer!

WOW! what a fantastic little gem. I cannot believe we found such a treasure for such a great value. This apartment is located on the property of a wine estate in Stellenbosch - the location is curiously wonderful! It is outside of the town, but only by a couple of minutes. The historic estate is located on the perimeter of what appears to be an affluent residential neighborhood from perhaps the 1950's. At the end of the neighborhood, the gated entrance to the wine estate appears and at once you are transported to a totally different world of rolling vineyards and charming farmland. This is TRULY the perfect location if you want to stay at a secluded estate but don't want the inconvenience of being very remote. Our Uber trips into the town were about 5-7 minutes and typically less than $2 USD. The jet lag coming from the U.S. had us waking up quite early in the morning. I loved making coffee and taking a stroll around the estate, enjoying the scenery and visiting the animals before getting the day started. The actual apartment is so special. It is stylishly appointed and sparkling clean. The pictures truly do not do it justice. We loved that it has been fitted with modern conveniences but still retained so much historic character! The dutch door was a favorite for us, as was the patio area. It is simple to retain privacy OR poke your head out and visit with neighbors if you choose. The bed and linens were very comfortable and the space is designed perfectly for traveling couples. We never wanted for anything, and were quite sad to leave! Last I have to mention our fabulous host. She (and her dogs!) welcomed us so warmly and checked on us often. I brought a chest cough with me and mentioned it in passing to Peonie. She immediately inquired as to whether I had medicine and before I could even respond she showed up at our door with a remedy from the pharmacy. I felt better immediately, but she continued to inquire after my health and came around the pool area to check on us and all the other two apartment occupants. Peonie, her dogs, and the other farm animals were such spectacular hosts. This was DEFINITELY the best AirBnB experience we have ever had, and are already planning our return!

We stayed in Palomino 1. It was a barrier free entrance and the suite was a good space. It was clean and cosy with a nice little patio off the back entrance overlooking the pool. Lots of little extras were appreciated. Poenie was very accommodating and friendly. The winery itself is lovely and quiet and not far from town. Would definitely recommend and stay again. Thanks!

What a wonderful, magical little cabin and garden! It is inspiring to stay here and a great getaway. The area is quiet and you can look at the beautiful mountain while exploring the stunning garden. More than I expected and I do hope to return.

Would really recommend this place! We stayed for the weekend and it was the perfect base for exploring Stellenbosch. Communication was quick and check in very simple. The apartment is really nice and was sparkling clean. Particularly loved the balcony, which felt very secluded. It’s a 5 minute Uber into town and Andrea gives plenty of recommendations for places to eat and visit. Really great stay!

We loved our stay, perfect place to end our 6 weeks holiday in Africa. Still under construction, but the room itself was perfect and the swimming pool made our experience even better! Maritsa gave us some really good tips, for example the wine tasting. Since we had to catch a late evening flight, Maritsa gave us the opportunity to store our bags in another room that she didn't rented out, and we were able to use the property facilities. Really kind of her, we really appreciated this gesture. Thanks again Maritsa and all the best!

Maritsa is a wonderful host. She welcomed us personally and explained everything. Our room was extremely spacious, clean, well-designed and with views overlooking the vineyards. Check-in went smooth, communication was fast, the location was easy to find. The hotel isn't finished yet but you can't feel it all. Same goes to the fact that all other rooms were booked - but it's super quiet and peaceful nonetheless. We barely saw any other quests. We were able to leave our bags and still enjoy the wonderful facilities on our departure day. Maritsa even helped us tremendously in making a reservation for lunch at one of the nearby vineyards. It's a great place, we recommend staying here when in Stellenbosch. And btw, Delaire Graff and Tokara are just next door.

Very quiet, clean and luxury place. We just spent a short night as we had to drive the day after but Maritsa was very helpful whereas we had a late arrival .

Our stay was perfect! The hotel is still being developed, but please don’t let that put you off, because once you’re in the main hotel area and room, you really wouldn’t know! We had the family room which had a small kitchen area with fridge, microwave, sink and kettle for basic food storage and preparation. The room was absolutely spotless and beautifully designed, and plenty but enough for two of us and our toddler. The private terrace area looks out across the vineyard and mountains, and the shared pool was beautiful and perfect for us and our toddler to splash around in. We stayed for two nights whilst we attended a wedding at a local vineyard, but it’s also only a short drive into Stellenbosch, which looked to be a lovely town. Maritsa was so helpful beforehand, making sure we had a cot and high chair for our baby, and double checking we knew the address and how to get there. Our stay was perfect and we’d definitely stay again if we were in the area.

The apartment is lovely! Very clean and with a lovely pool just outside the door. Very close the Stellenbosch and with lovely views. Strongly recommend staying here!

Excellent value for money!

Great accomodation 10 min drive from town! The room was very spacious clean and comfortable with great views (we stayed in B1)! The only comment I would have to say is the pool was really dirty. Mouldy snd slimey. Wether or not it’s being fixed in the renovation I’m not sure but it was a little disappointing, otherwise everything else was perfect!

This hotel is not fully operational yet but the rooms are great, very spacious, well decorated providing a very comfortable night's rest and the bathroom has a very romantic bath setting.

It is a place you really feel home. You will find anything you need for yr home away

If you want amazing views of the surrounding winelands and table mountain this is the place to stay. You had to get ubers to the centre, but was never a problem, approx 10-15 mins away. The apartment has everything you need and more, leaving milk, tea, coffee, biscuits etc. Hosts were friendly Christopher was away and we were greeted by Marlene his mum who was very nice. There are family dogs that may lay outside the apartment but are harmless. Lovely restaurant within walking distance, kunjani, must try. All in all great place to stay, chill and visit the winelands, only an uber away 🙂

We stayed at Devon View Olive Farm for a week - and we love it. In short: The accommodation does what it says on the tin. The spacious house is located in a rural area near a golf course just outside of Stellenbosch on a huge, fenced private property. The view is really as fantastic as can be seen in the photos. The apartment is cozy, tastefully and comfortably furnished and offers a lot of privacy with its own entrance and garden. The bed is large and cozy, with a good mattress, clean bedding and lots of pillows. The room had various cozy seating options, plenty of storage space in the large built-in closet, and the fully equipped kitchen had everything we needed. In addition to extensive cooking accessories and dishes, there was even coffee, tea, cold drinks, wine, cooking ingredients, detergent, etc., as well as stable, fast and free WiFi in the room. A lot of information about the place, the region and other sights as well as practical tips were available. Chris is an exemplary host. Communication with him worked extremely well. He lives with his family in the same house, replied to e-mails within a few minutes before and during our stay and, for example, informed us in good time about upcoming, scheduled power cuts in the region. Everything was well organized in our accommodation. We are very satisfied with the accommodation and recommend it for singles or couples looking for peace and quiet. Because of the location on a hill on the outskirts of the village, we recommend arriving by rental car. We wish Chris and his family all the best and many happy, satisfied guests.

Wonderful people, extremely clean and with the most beautiful views. Only a stones throw away from Devonvale golf course Devonview really is a wonderful place to spend a holiday

Great spot, beautiful place and all round good experience

Grenache has the most beautiful setting in beautiful Stellenbosch it is stunning. The cottage itself is quite simple and compact and it’s not a brand new flashy type. It’s a bit older but works really well for a small family. Lawn and golf course at your door. Lodge Restaurant 20ms away. You can wander up and organise room service. Lodge staff typically beautifully friendly and helpful South African people. Good security. Stellenbosch square with coffee & Woolworths food close by. Great for our boys 6&9. Full DSTV bouquet. Given the total package it’s good value.

Extremely secure and great location for exploring wineries. Very clean with plenty of space and a nice grass area to the side. Pool has amazing views - be brave if you’re swimming - brrrr!!!! Wine tasting at Kleine Zalze up there with the best. All in all would highly recommend this place 👍

Wonderful house, lovely hosts and amazing neighbourbood. Location is perfect, in ten minuts you’re in Stellenbosch centre. Wendy - the house manager - gave us a very warm welcome upon arrival and she made sure everything was good the next days. (We forgot to tip her in our hurry, but Elsje - the host - was kind enough to arrange this via bank transfer!) Swimming pool is a bit smaller than we expected, but still a nice spot to hangout after the wine tours. Also, this place has a cute picknick table where you can enjoy your breakfast. Couldn’t have wished for a better spot!

If 6 star ratings were possible I would give it to Louis and Elsje. They were so sweet and caring. Absolute lovely people, they went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. The apartment itself is really stylishly done and cosy. Location is great, the swimming pool is nice on a hot day. Stellenbosch is beautiful. We would (and will) book again.

Our stay at Louis & Elsje wat GREAT! From the moment of check in till we left, we felt as appreciated guests. The apartment is beautiful and has very nice and personal details that makes it feel like home. For us the location was great. We could make walks with our little one through the beautiful neighborhood, the Spar close by has everything one can wish for and the beautiful city center of Stellenbosch is also very close (we don’t mind a 15 minute walk). But the thing that really made it for us were the hosts. Louis, Elsje & Wendy - thank you again for the perfect stay and all the great tips!

A beautiful place to stay near Stellenbosch with excellent hospitality throughout and a beautifully presented room. Our hosts were on call throughout to help with planning making our trip fun and relaxing.

Marilyn was super nice and really helped me. I had a suitcase that was too big for a tour and it helped me a lot with my problem and had a solution right away. The dogs are really cute and the view is breathtaking.

Marilyn and her husband were lovely and accommodating. The room was beautiful with a great view. Highly recommend

We stayed over after a wedding in the area. Perfect spot if you want a place to stay but don't need a whole apartment. Michelle's place is cosy, quiet, and clean, but the best part is the two super cute kitty cats! Would go back to give them tickles any day.

Friendly, comfortable, clean all you need at a beautiful place.

Interesting much loved home reminiscent of a Moroccan riad. My room was perfect - clean, tastefully furnished, private with private entrance, peaceful, with an outside sitting area. Lovely Victorian bathroom but be aware there is only a bath, no shower. Parking on the road but the suburb feels safe. Betsie and Chris were very welcoming. There were yoghurts in the fridge plus cereal and tea/coffee supplies incl. rusks. Highly recommended. I would like to stay here again.

The room is private and was cool in the midst of a heat wave. The heat wave was followed by 2 days of terrible stormy winds, but in the room I was unaware of the mayem outside. It was neat and clean with all the amenities required for my business trip. Chris and Betsie were friendly, helpful hosts.

This place is a dream and replaced my previous number one stays in South Africa. Communication is great, location is a dream, and the house plus garden with all the little details is so well thought, stylish and from a good quality that you don’t want to leave. You see the love and effort Hermien put in to make that place special and it really is special. We can recommend that place highly. It was super clean and everything is in that you need. We were sad when we had to leave but sure we will come back!

Hermien's place is a gem. Its situated on a wine farm that has excellent wine tasting. We started our Saturday at the wine farm and spent the rest of the afternoon and evening relaxing and braai'ing at Honey Oak. The Jacuzzi was an absolute spoil, not to mention the amazing sunsets. The cottage was equipped with everything you could ever possibly need, no need to bring along any extras like coffee, tea, sugar, spice, sauce etc. It was such a treat staying at HoneyOak. Thank you again Hermien.

It's a great location especially if you like to visit wine farms. The little cottage had everything we needed and more. Loved the little garden and the jacuzzi was amazing! Will definitely recommend this sweet gem.

This is a great alternative to the normal appartment. We had such fun staying between nature in our own tiny home. I would highly recommend this spot. Although it feels like you are alone for kilometers, it is a very safe space and actually just a stones throw from town.

The tiny oak house is a wonderful , idyllic place to stay! We have travelled lots and this is certainly one of our top favourite stays! A private place in the middle between the wine ranks and at the same time very close to Stellenbosch and all wineries. Most special was the fantastisic hospitality of the owners. Would recommend it to everyone!

A dream to stay here. If I had to give a grade, it's a ten. Everything looks great, smells great, everything you could need and more is available. Great shower, beautiful view, wonderful jacuzzi. No negatives!

A lovely and perfect spot to come back to after a busy day with easy access to town via Uber, great internet access and accommodating privacy, with friendly hosts near by if needed. And the doggies were so cute and welcoming. I also enjoyed the autonomy afforded with easy access in and out of the property. I highly recommend 17 Flamingo!
