Wonderful place

Room E is cozy, but has everything you need for an easy overnight. TV, Desk, Comfortable armchair and bed, you feel like you're getting a lot out of this private space than just a bed. Also, Andrea left thoughtful touches like a chocolate by the bed and a glass of wine for me.

I’m not sure words do justice to how nice this location is. I selected it due to its perfect location (the perfect spot for the night before Acadia), and its amazing price. When arriving, I was relieved at the ease of check in and condition of the house, absolutely immaculate. The room had every single thing we needed and more, including bathrobes! The bed was comfortable and the view from the porch was incredible. We are already planning our way back north again, however plan on staying in Hallowell for the entire stay for we never even got to try out kayaking and bike riding in the area, or to explore all of the small shops that it has to offer! Thank you so much for everything, we will be back soon!

Andrea's place is lovely! I stayed there as a quick layover on a trip en route to Canada, and it was just what I needed. I'd love to return in the future for a longer stay. Andrea's kindness and hospitality are noteworthy!

My bed was so comfortable! I arrived late and left early, so I didn’t actually get to meet Andrea. But I felt so welcomed by the extra touches that went above and beyond what I expected...the water filter, coffee, chocolate and so much more! Thanks again Andrea!

Andrea’s place is TOP NOTCH!! Beautiful home, great location, amazing amenities. Cleanliness is a big deal for me so I was a little worried but from the moment I walked through the door I had to take off my shoes (just like home!) my room was spotless and Andrea was cleaning the common areas ALL the time. She was super friendly, full of recommendations but also was very respectful of personal space and my need for alone time. I could write an entire page of how lovely this home and Andrea were, I definitely will be returning!!

A warm, comfortable space in a warm, comfortable farm home! My 1-year-old and I felt right at home and enjoyed our stay very much, including a trip to the nearby (free!) Colby art museum as recommended by Bernie!

The warmest hospitality, kindness and generosity of Airbnb. Jody and Bernie are world travelers and educators as well as farmers, so I enjoyed my conversations with them. Their farm house was so cozy with the wood stove in the kitchen, the cup of mint tea from their garden they offered me before bed. They made me feel very much at home with their kindness and warmth. I enjoyed a cozy, heated room with books and a private bathroom. I hope to visit again!

Bernie and Jody are incredibly hospitable and wonderful! Their house and farm is absolutely stunning, warm, and the definition of cozy. Bernie and Jody are wonderfully friendly, kind, and helpful. I was in Maine for a wedding and Bernie and Jody came to the rescue with an iron to iron dress clothes for the wedding and gave great advice for things to do in the area. This location was a great home base to explore central Maine.

The absolute perfect place for us to stay. Our 3 kids (14, 12, and 8) were entertained every minute on the farm. They picked tomatoes from the greenhouse, apples and pears in the little orchard, blueberries along the fence. They just loved having a big area to run around after traveling all day. The 3 story barn swing was a big hit and the cats were cuddly and friendly. The self playing piano was so neat. We just loved everything about the place!

A perfect place to be. Jody and Bernie are wonderful hosts. First thing Bernie asked us by arrival was if we would like to go dancing in the evening (in German!!). Of course we wanted to. We had the time of our life doing Contra Dance, although we screwed up a lot. The accommodation is a lovely farm house in the countryside. Perfect for us, as we are not city people. The rooms are big and the style lovely. In retrospect we should have stayed much longer. But we are looking forward coming back. Very highly recommended.

Great historical place to stay in Waterville, Maine. Dana's house has so many lovely little touches- I may have indulged more than I should have in the chocolates dish- sorry Dana! Good communication leading up to our arrival, and we felt very welcome when greeted at the front door.

Anchor House is the perfect spot for a cozy getaway! Dana and Anne are wonderful hosts, and the apartment is spacious, charming and relaxing; very convenient to Maine points downeast, north and beyond. Enthusiastically recommended!

Both Bernie and his daughter were wonderfully welcoming and accommodating. The home, part of a lovely and hard-working farm, has a warm and relaxed vibe, and the private bedroom was large, sunny and comfortable.

Bernie and Jody are great hosts and conveniently available to guests. They are quite busy managing their organic farm which we were invited to look around and enjoy a beautiful sunset. The house is full of antique touches and warming aromas that are made to make you feel right at home.

This is the second time I've stayed at Full Circle Farm, and look forward to my next stay there in the future. Bernie, Jody and their family are super kind, welcoming and exceptional hosts; we appreciated the AM coffee and tea as well as mint tea with maple as a nightcap, the opportunity to purchase their freshly harvested produce, and the advice and directions provided for local destinations. Very comfortable and warm farmhouse with a rich family history in a beautiful rural location.

Full Circle Farm is a century old Maine farmhouse. There is a myriad of rooms that Bernie and Jody rent out as airbnb room as well as rooms for the farm exchange workers. It is full of rustic charm and farm history. There is always something happening at Full Circle Farm.

This is a quaint little farmhouse that had just what we needed. We came from Acadia and needed to be in Boston early the next day - this was the perfect location! We stayed in a second floor bedroom with two beds and a private bathroom. If you're looking for a place with frills, this isn't it. If you're looking for a very comfortable place to rest your head and incredible hospitality, you've found the right place! Bernie communicated with us very early on with directions for the farmhouse and was there on the porch with a warm welcome when we arrived. The next day, he provided great recommendations for local breakfast spots. I wish we could have stayed more than one night!

Sylvia was very accommodating. She went out of her way to provide me with breakfast that worked with my dietary restrictions. The room is cozy and the bed is very comfortable.

This is a remarkable airbnb-- outstanding for its service, especially for the economical price. It is a small room in a small house, so you need to be comfortable with the comings and goings of the small family and the two big friendly dogs...or if you wish to spend a lot of alone time in your cozy room with heater, Sylvia will respect that as well. The really outstanding part of it is your hostess sylvia, who is more sensitive and attentive to the needs of her guests than practically any airbnb hostess I've seen. She is a native French canadian, speaks fluent french and italian and english,

Sylvia is a fantastic hostess! Her home was beautiful and clean, and her hospitality was outstanding. The breakfasts she made us were great. I would definitely stay with her again.

Sylvia is a very nice host. We had some funny talks and shared our travelling experiences. The room is spacious and homey. The heater is pretty strong and hot. The only thing is the address that means you need to focus on the road and carefully see the intersection. Very easy to drive over the place. Anyway, five stars. Highly recommend！

A great value - good bedroom, great hostess, and breakfast!

Our group enjoyed our stay at the Maine camp. Very beautiful overlooking the pond, peaceful and quiet. We were a group of 6 and just used the main house, four upstairs and two on the futon on the main level. Bernie and Jody had the lights on and informed us of which house to look for as we arrived after dark. The heat was on but we definitely needed to turn it up since October nights are chilly in Maine. We used the kitchen to make supper and the oven to cook a pie. The pie took longer than recommended to cook in the gas oven but we had the time to wait. The water from the faucet is from the pond and several gallons of cooking/drinking water was available next to the sink. We overlooked this information on the listing but were thankful Bernie and Jody had it labeled in the house. Bernie and Jody had the canoes and kayaks ready for our use. We were able to some paddling in on the beautiful pond before the rain started. Be forewarned if you are not used to gas appliances, different types of heating systems, and country camps/cabins this is not the place for you. Bernie and Jody have beautiful traditional gem in this camp on the pond. If in the area, our group would come back for another visit.

We had a good time in this rustic and charming camp. Great landscape, scenic view and a excellent and friendly communication. Given the opportunity we will absolutely stay here again.

Places like this are why I use Air BNB. I grew up in Maine and when I come back to visit I’m looking for experiences that take me back in time. This place did not disappoint. This is a proper Maine camp / cabin and the owners have done an amazing job providing an authentic experience..... by leaving it as it was. Every corner has a small treasure or little bit of history.

Loved the cottage!

Great accomodations! Two families spread out between the bunkhouse and the camp. We used the gas grill for some burgers the evening we arrived and enjoyed playing the piano before retiring for the night. The cool breeze coming off of the lake coupled with the sounds of the waves and loons was very relaxing. The oven was a little tricky for cooking, but we managed to bake a cherry dessert one evening. There is a coffee maker, toaster, and dish washer in the kitchen that were all in working order. We didn't use the washer or dryer, as we were only there for 3 nights. There were plenty of fun board games for the kids to choose from, their favorites being Pokemon Monopoly and Mouse Trap. I took one of the kayaks out to the closer island (roughly 1 mile) and it was great! There is at least one bald eagle that flies over many times during the day. We played many yard games (that we brought with us) and enjoyed some time down by the water in a couple of hammocks (also that we brought). There is a great candlepin bowling alley about 15 minutes away for some rainy day fun. This is a great "Maine camp" to stay at to get away from the electronics (cell phones still get service).

This cabin is the perfect little Maine getaway! Checking in and out was simple, and it's easy to see how this place has been loved by many. Would stay here again!

A very loved family space in just the best location. We bought lobsters at the nearby supermarket (5 min away) and used the big pot in the kitchen to cook them - just for the experience. So much fun. We took the canoe out in the morning, and although it was raining when we arrived Sat evening, the lake was glass Sun morning. Just beautiful.

A picturesque place in the beautiful China Lakes Region, this house was perfect for the five people in my party. The living room/common room and the large picnic table outside are great for gatherings, and there are interesting things nearby to check out, including an antique store down the road. I could hear loons in the early morning, which was a major treat. Check-in and check-out were super easy, and the house rules were straightforward and reasonable. Multiple people in my party said they want to book this place again.

This place is quaint and very minimalist. It truly was the perfect spot for me and my boyfriends weekend get away. The lake is beautiful and we are hoping to come back in the warmer months to really enjoy the water. I’d recommend it for any couple who loves the great outdoors and doesn’t mind maine cabin living!

My husband and I stayed here for a weekend for our honeymoon and everything was absolutely perfect. We enjoyed thoughtful touches like maine-made local products and wine. The location of the cabin is beautiful and would love to come back during the summertime when we could enjoy the amenities of the lake a little more.

We loved staying at the cosy cabin, and it was absolutely that. We stayed late September into early October, and it was chilly at night, but warmed up in the mornings once we turned the small heater on. It's amazing how quiet the place was - even in spite of the building work happening behind it. We made use of the kayaks and were surprised by the fact we had the lake to ourselves, and it that the water had retained some of the summer warmth in the shallower parts! We made use of the convection hob, microwave and BBQ and all worked perfectly. There was firewood if we'd wanted to have a bonfire, but the beautiful Maine thunder storm took hold of the night, so we didn't end up using it. The cabin is a wonderful getaway for two people, we felt so lucky to be staying there!

This quaint cabin is the best we've spent time in for a while. It's calm and quiet, away from town. The amenities we're amazing. Between the kayaks, and paddleboards, to the firepit with wood avaliable. I would definitely return next time we head out to Maine.

Unique place to stay!

This was a great place to stay for a couple nights, and the room was super cozy, especially with the heater. It was super close to Colby, which is great if you’re visiting there.

A great bed, a clean room and bathroom, I felt very welcome and safe and got a great night's sleep. Only thing that would make this even better would be a Kcup for the coffee machine in the morning. Thanks, Phil and daughter!

Janes apartment was much more spacious than I expected. It was an amazing value for a weekend getaway or an easy drive into Augusta. The temp was set at 68 and it’s perfect for us, we prefer a cooler sleeping temperature. Everything you need for preparing a quick meal and there were English muffins for us and half and half for our coffee. My only negative is that the train came thru at 3:30 am and it blows its horn a couple of times. Get up and Pee....If you have no problem getting back to sleep - this is a great place to stay! Our bed was very comfy with plenty of blankets -on the firm side. Jane made sure to meet us before departing in the morning. I appreciated the maple syrup bottle and the beautiful daffodils that greeted us on arrival.

Elizabeth’s place was a great if you’re looking to stay at a place that’s between camping and glamping. When walking in, the radio was playing and the musical instruments were a very nice touch! The bed that’s up on the loft is comfortable, and I slept well. I didn’t use the appliance though. Elizabeth was really friendly and even offered fresh peaches. Thanks!

This is a great place if you need a good night's sleep on a tight travel budget. There is a clean bed or a sofa to sleep on. Sheets and blankets are provided. The host is very friendly. The rooster will wake you in the morning if you forgot your alarm clock!

This is such a beautiful place to stay that makes you feel at home and cozy and very comfortable. The sweet touches of things to make you feel comfortable and also Andrea is so kind and very quick to reply and know you personally by knowing our names. When we were leaving she greeted us so warmly and asked how our night was. We will be back again. She is such a wonderful host! You will not go wrong with booking a stay here! 💙

The rooms are tiny but really comfortable. They have everything that a larger room would have, except empty space. Bed was super comfortable! Location is one street up from the riverfront historic district. I would stay again for sure.

Perfect hidden cozy place to get away from the nouse

We loved every moment of our stay! I don't think I have ever been more relaxed. You'll be surrounded by trees and water and wont see a soul while you're there. The nightly train, the acorns dropping, the call of the loons, the hissing & popping of the wood stove and fire pit are some of the coziest sounds ever. The propane camp stove worked like a champ. We brought it outside on the deck railing for some outdoor cooking. The water access is very private so we ended up skinny dipping. We did yoga on the deck, bush whacked through the woods, explored the train tracks and just breathed in the clean open air. We drove a Chevy Volt and were just fine on the road. We went 5mph and carefully maneuvered the car over the roots. This is a tranquil spot to relax and expand into nature if that is your cup of tea. It was definitely ours.

This was my second visit to John's cabin and it was even better than what I remembered from my first! I arrived a bit later than anticipated and ran out of sunlight before finding the road in, John was super quick to respond to ensure all was well when I reached out to him. The driving trail had a few sticky spots and ground clearance would have been helpful, but I just took it easy in my car and didn't have any issues. Everything is exactly as listed and described (minus the gas grill in the pics— bring charcoal!) so there shouldn't be any surprises. I would agree with the suggestion of bringing whatever you think you'll want and need as if on a camping trip and you should be golden. Pro Tip: A strand of battery-powered LED lights adds a lovely ambiance when it gets dark. Or just let the stars do the work! :) I find John's place to be a great balance of quiet and secluded while still having the convenience of anything you may need within a close driving distance if necessary. I would highly recommend it if you're looking to comfortably step back from civilization for a bit and spend some time in nature.

UNBELIEVABLE stay at this beautiful cabin. My boyfriend and I got a nice little getaway to unwind and relax. He was skeptical with the no electric or actual bathroom but that ended up being our favorite part. You're really forced to switch up your daily routine. The road to the cabin comes up quick so you really need to keep your eyes open but when you find it you’ll know. Will 100% be back. Enjoy your stay!

Great place! I’m not sure how people could find anything to complain about. If you’re careful driving down the dirt road, you’ll arrive at an awesome little cabin overlooking the water. Great fire pit and deck to relax on. 5 stars!

Mark’s cabin is a great place to unwind and relax. Serenity + lake view= blast! If you’re into fishing, there’s a lot of fish even by the dock at dusk. We enjoyed fishing by the dock. Kayaks available are also very useful in exploring the lake and fishing too! We were able to cook well during our stay. The cabin is equipped with all cookingwares including lobster pot, grill, seasonings, plates, mugs, coffee, and more! I can’t wait to come back for ice fishing season!! My boyfriend and I have been grateful for the experience. Totally recommend!

Mark’s place is the ideal place to unplug and relax. It’s situated directly on the lake with a private dock for swimming, kayaking (with the provided kayaks!), and stargazing at night! The area is quiet and away from the tourist areas which makes it very relaxing. The cottage is cozy and has all the amenities you may need like cookware, spices, coffee, reliable WiFi, strong shower, etc. Mark was very communicative and helpful throughout our stay. As others have mentioned, the staircase to the loft is extremely steep and could be difficult for some people. We had an amazing weekend at the cottage and would recommend it to anyone.

I would certainly stay here again. The lake is beautiful for a nice week or weekend getaway. We were able to cook all of our meals over the fire, and spend a bunch of time on the kayaks. Highly recommended!

The cabin was perfect for our family of four. The water offered kayaking, swimming, and fishing opportunities. The kitchen, patio fireplace, and gas grill meant we could cook anything. All wrapped into a beautiful, quiet setting only one hour from touristy spots on the coast. Mark is a great host, so take advantage of this opportunity to enjoy Maine without the crowds!

Three mile pond is a perfect getaway for a relaxing vacation. The cottage was clean and comfortable. Kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed. We had use of the fire-pit and kayaks and the kids enjoyed swimming. Mark was a great host and responded very quickly to any questions I had. Will definitely stay here again.

We had a great week long stay at the cottage! It was just my son and I and we felt super at home and comfortable. Definitely take the kayaks out at sunset - it was gorgeous! As mentioned in the description, the stairs to the loft are really small and steep, you can't have any mobility issues for them. Would definitely come back and stay again!

Our stay at Ashley’s cabin was a lovely experience for me, my husband and dog! The secluded and serene location was perfect for a nice relaxing getaway. The river fulfilled all my husbands fishing goals for our trip. The one and only thing I would change about the cabin is the view from the deck of the river is a little obstructed with shrubbery. It would really open up the view if it was cleared out a bit. Ashley was accommodating and checked in to make sure our trip was going well, she even checked to make sure we were ok after a big storm! I would love to stay here again in the future!

A cute cabin next to the Kennebec River. If you are looking for a place to disconnect from electronics yet be close to sites and restaurants, this is the place to be. The view of the river in the morning on the deck or in the evening by the fire pit are picturesque!!

A magical spot! The location is beautiful, and the cabin is cozy. We did have problems with heat & hot water (due to electric utility work--not under the control of our hosts), but our hosts responded very quickly. If you can tolerate a few quirks with the building and are not afraid of lighting an old gas range, it's a lovely place to spend some quiet days, watching the geese, marvelling at the leaves turning almost before your eyes, taking advantage of the cozy but well-equipped kitchen, and perusing the amply-stocked bookshelves.

Ashley’s cabin was THE picturesque Maine experience! I would highly recommend it to anyone looking to experience all Maine has to offer in the coziest setting!

Well worth the $ and would likely return. No frills and no TV or wifi etc. Just a wonderful place to escape the world and get back to nature. Total seclusion and wonderful place if traveling with a pet. My dog loved the river and huge property to run and play. Would definately recommend this cabin and Ashley was a great host.

Our stay at the Sacred River Cabin was excellent. It’s a huge amount of incredibly private space - excellent for relaxation and fun on the water. Can’t say enough good things about this place, our dogs wish they could stay forever.

The location is superb, quiet and secluded along a river. The cabin is rustic and comfortable with a great grill and deck, the bed on the closed in porch is lovely. We had a great time visiting with our dog. Ashley was easy to communicate with, we’d definitely go again.

The bed was quite comfortable (I slept in the king in the bottom floor). The house has three large decks, each with a nice secure railing and a great view of the sunset and sunrise over the pond. The pond was frozen over and made for a fun place to walk around straight off the back of the property. In the warmer months that access straight into the water would be unbeatable! Paula and Mike left a binder on the kitchen table with some excellent recommendations - I took their suggestion for Mainely Brews, a short drive away, and the food was superb. I'd drive the hour north from my house just to eat there in the future. The home was very well-appointed with extra blankets, plenty of towels, a pair of dog bowls and a pair of dog beds for furry companions, salt, pepper, coffee, plenty of cookware and eating ware. Perhaps most of all, I was very impressed with how clean the house is. Even the gas stove was in pristine order! Paula was very timely, friendly, and helpful in our communications, and the long road in was well-maintained and easily passable even with fairly fresh snow on the ground. Overall, I had a wonderful experience at Mike & Paula's place with my dog, and look forward to returning in seasons and years to come!

Mike and Paula's place was cozy. They were quick to respond and it was very easy to find. It was very clean and we enjoyed our short overnight visit. We hope to visit again this Summer.

Our stay in Hallowell was wonderful! It was our first time there, and we stumbled upon Andrea’s place when planning a last-minute getaway. Our favorite part was the wood stove! We asked for direction on how to use it, and they were right over to have us. We would stay again!

Andrea's property is really lovely. The decor is cosy with great style. The view of the river from the back deck is a treat. Andrea accommodated us at short notice and the kitchen was well stocked with useful ameneties. Hallowell is a charming little town and I particularly recommend Scrummy Afters sweet shop and Granite City Park along the riverbank.

The apartment is cute. Bed was super comfy and relaxing. The appliances are newer so no problems with those. It was very nice staying there and wouldn't mind staying again.

I initially booked this room for the price, despite a bit of a drive to Augusta, but I would book it again in a heart beat. Elizabeth is a very generous and responsive host. I enjoyed our interactions and had a comfortable stay.

Craig and Jen’s place was exactly as described in their listing. We found them easily and the steps to the private entrance were shoveled and sanded. The apartment was simple and convenient, similar to a hotel suite with kitchenette. We used the fold out cot, in addition to the double bed, which were both comfortable. We had everything we needed to prepare simple meals. We were able to quickly access downtown restaurants, the grocery store and the cross country ski trails. Read their bathroom notes - it was quirky but functional. We ended up kind of sit-showering, which was fine with us but could be tricky for others.

I just want to let you know how much we enjoyed our stay,it really felt like being at home on a wonderful relaxing day,not an impersonal corporate cubicle.The river view was enchanting even on a dreary rainy December day,the ducks were awesome.

This space is cozy and right by the river! It rained on us when we stayed so we didn't get to enjoy the outside space. I loved the clawfoot tub. But, if you're much over 5'7", you won't be standing for a shower. Overall, I'd visit again earlier in the year!

As a fine arts painter, I look for out of the way places to stay and paint. Mo’s place fit that bill nicely. My host (Mo) was friendly and very helpful in pointing out places to paint and things to do the area. I enjoyed a nice meal at the local cafe (Sweet Season Farm Cafe) and then stopped in at the local Blueberry Festival. My room upstairs had its own entrance and was comfortable, neat and clean. The place is a small working farm, with chickens, cows, sheep, pigs and two large friendly dogs. I would definitely visit again.

What a wonderful experience! As Parents of a Colby College Junior, our only regret is that we didn’t find Fiona and Gary earlier! The room and shared living space are both beautiful and comfortable. The back porch and walk to the lake were a treat. And best of all we’re conversations with Fiona and Gary; it was like staying with friends! We will absolutely be back!

Michaels cabin on the lake was a great spot for our girls getaway! We enjoyed the beautiful view of the lake and the fire pit while watching the loons. The cabin was clean and had all that we needed.

This was a spectacular hidden little gem. Words and pictures, don't even begin to say or show just how wonderful it was there. My husband and I were beyond happy with our stay there. It was such a wonderful surprise to get the beautiful flowers for our anniversary. We loved the sunrises on both days that we were there and the beauty of nature and it's sounds. There was still some wonderful foliage to see. We definitely want to go back again and hopefully bring another couple with us. And we definitely highly recommend this place to any and everyone, especially if you are looking for a wonderful place for a getaway.

Lovely home by the water! Michael and Karen are outstanding hosts! They are very thoughtful - my husband and I booked for the weekend for a little getaway and they left us a bottle of Prosecco, which we appreciated. In addition, since the water is not potable, they had left us a gallon of fresh water. The cabin itself is beautiful, very well decorated and cozy. Perfect for relaxing and taking time away from the noise of everyday city life. My husband and I love birds, and it was wonderful to find a pair of binoculars since we forgot ours at home. We got to see a couple of loons and a bald eagle! We had a wonderful time and strongly recommend Michael and Karen’s cabin!

This cabin is the quintessential “cabin on the lake.” The decor is rustic but with all the modern comforts of home. The views are spectacular. It is the perfect spot for a relaxing getaway!

Tom's hand-built cabin with bathroom facility and outdoor shower adjacent was the perfect upgrade from camping - snug, comfortable, conveniently appointed and homey (hand-painted with glow in dark stars in sleeping loft!) Great for a single and can accommodate a couple, it is a very private setting behind the vegetable garden on his property in a woodsy setting in the hills above the mid-coast towns and the very nice Belfast with it's terrific co-op to anchor, about a 20-25 min drive down the pleasant scenic Rt. 173. Stop at any of the several roadside stores they're all good, open early and late, and Weaver's has a morning bakery as the sun is coming up. Tom and wife are super nice and authentic. The tiney house was awesome! Very comfortable, just like the ones on TV. It was perfect, rustic but comfortable, I spent my days exploring the coastle cities of Maine and hiking. It was so cool to actually stay someplace that was really doing the sustainable lifestyle! I'm def going back again! Tom was super nice, even refunded me when I had to check out early for work, and didn't mind checking me in in the middle of the night lol, it was great!

The room truly provides exceptional value. The stay was very comfortable and we particularly enjoyed the many amenities and thoughtful details. This was my first stay in Maine and it exceeded my expectations! The rooms are very cute and cozy. Across the street is a beautiful historic church and it's also walking distance to the downtown district and the Kennebec River. Great food options in downtown Hallowell and the little tavern stays open pretty late so you have have a drink and listen to the band at night. Perfect place for a solo traveler!

Perfect stop to stay overnight between Maryland and Prince Edward Island. Our only regret is that we didn’t stay longer to enjoy everything offered. The house was more than clean and very quaint yet modern with a large and inviting kitchen. Shared bathroom worked out well and we had lots of privacy but other guests were kind when we encountered them. Host was helpful too about local spots. A great spot off of the highway!

Seth was an outstanding host. So was his little dog :). We had an amazing time. We had a fire with two comfy chairs. The bed was so soft and we slept like babies. He had a welcome basket to take to the dome with snacks , water , matches, fire starters, a map to the stars and I book for reference. He also had a telescope for our viewing pleasure. The temp was perfect with the heater in the dome. We woke up to a continental breakfast in the main house. The bathroom was sparkling clean. Everything about our experience was A+. Wish I could give him 10 stars.

The cozy domes are...well just that. Insanely cozy. Our dome was heated and was just walking distance from a clean hot shower and any amenities you would find in your home. The dome is large and comfortable, we were warm with an outside temperature of 16 degrees. The dome allows for a full panorama of the Maine night sky with zero light pollution. We saw over 10 shooting stars before falling asleep. Just minutes from Damariscotta it’s a fantastic location. In the morning we were pleasantly surprised with fresh coffee, and a continental breakfast! We will be returning in the spring to rent out all three amazing dimes with friends! Stay here. Trust me.

To sum it all up this was an unforgettable experience! We stayed two nights in the dome and even though one night it was 35 degrees out, we stayed warm with three extra blankets. We did a day trip to Acadia National park which was a bit of drive but so worth it! The two nights we stayed it drizzled at night so we couldn’t see to many stars from the dome but while sitting at the bonfire before it rained you could see them so clearly! If you are traveling to Maine this is a must do!

Comfy dome is an amazing outdoor stay with all the comforts of indoor amenities! Everything is exactly as reported in the listing, Seth is a great host with the most adorable dog! We had a wonderful stay though it was a bit cold at night. We would definitely stay here again!

The lure of sleeping in a clear dome and waking up to nature was incredibly appealing to us, but Seth’s hospitality is what truly made this a memorable experience. Upon arrival he took us on a tour with Quinn (best fetching dog EVER) and showed us where to park along with the bathroom in his home. It was so nice to shower after a long day of hiking then go bundle up next to the fire before burying ourselves under the most amazing blankets. Seth gave us a welcome basket of flashlights, local moon pies, a charger kit, and matches with a fire starter. He also graciously let us do a load of laundry! If we ever find ourselves in this area again, we’ll definitely be staying here!!

This was such a unique stay! Several extra comforters meant I was super warm and cozy, and there were lots of cute touches like a star map and home made moon pies! The view was beautiful, the bed was ultra comfortable, and Seth made sure I felt at home. Thanks for the stay!

Seth was very welcoming and anticipates his guests needs before they occur. We stayed in the comfy dome in the beginning of October, and we were warm enough during the night with all the blankets provided, even though there was a thick frost in the morning (30 degrees F). The comfy dome is a unique experience that will not be easily forgotten.

Beautiful place to get out of the busy routine and experience something different. The dome was very clean and the bed very comfy. Nothing better than to wake up to the sound of rain. Seth's mom provided us with extra blankets just in case we get cold but we didn't. I totally recommend the comfy dome.

This is a special place. The house and location on the lake are both spectacular. The only noise one hears are loons calling, fish splashing, and birds chirping. I have rented several houses over the years and Michael’s place and the entire experience there was in its entirety on a much higher level. And the coffee maker was exceptional!

We have just returned from another week at Michael's wonderful cottage. Every year, when we are back there, we are surprised anew how cozy the house feels, how beautiful is the view on the pond and islands, how quiet this place is, and how many interesting books are on the shelves. This year we found the house and the surroundings to have even more light than before, because Michael had pruned the surrounding woods and the sun had beautifully brightened the house. Michael maintains a great herbal, tomato and pepper garden and encourages us to make a full use of it. The herbs and the fish (largemouth bass) caught daily by my husband became frequent meals during our stay. It is an exceptional vacation place, we are already looking forward to coming back next year!

We just returned home from a lovely weekend at Michael's house and can't say enough good things about it. We stayed there while attending our daughter's nearby graduation from Colby College and it was wonderful to be able to retreat to such a restful and beautiful spot at the end of our long days on campus. The view is truly spectacular and the house has everything one would need for a comfortable stay. Michael was a terrific and communicative host and the homemade soup he prepared for us was just the icing on the cake. We will be back!

We had an absolutely wonderful stay. Michael's home far exceeded our expectations. Everything from the extra touches--fish chowder waiting on the stove for us, sunflowers in vases--to the peaceful seclusion, the beautiful view amongst the trees, the immaculately clean home, and the rustic yet modern architecture were all perfection. Michael is also a quick and clear communicator. If you're looking for a peaceful get-away in Maine within easy driving distance to a variety of locales, don't hesitate to stay at Michael's home.

Mike's house is amazing. It's a really special place and we're very thankful he shared it with us. Mike stopped by for a few mins on checkin and there were fresh sunflowers and fish chowder waiting for us. We would stay here again in a heart beat! The place was very clean and had pretty much everything you would ever need. S China/Palermo is a great location too.

We had a wonderfully relaxing stay at Michael's house. My son had the best fishing of his life (27 in one day!). The kayaking was great as you could move from island to island. The house was incredible, so well thought out and well crafted. Fully furnished and great info from the host. Quick response to our questions. Highly recommend.

This place is BEAUTIFUL! The home is stunning the views are better! I cannot explain how breathe taking it is to sit on the porch and enjoy a cup of coffee. The kitchen was great for us, as we enjoy cooking. The master bedroom in the loft area was so comfortable, even for my husband (he's 6'3). Only one shower but it is big and very nice. There is a second bathroom with a tub upstairs in the loft, this was great for bathing our 8 month old. The lake frontage is small and it's a hike from the house. Not ideal for small children or elderly people. My 70 year old father-in-law was able to get down, but it's very steep to the lake. But the lake/pond is serene. We loved kayaking and fishing. Michael was a WONDERFUL host. We arrived late in the day and he had fresh seafood chowder made for us and it was loaded with seafood. He was very responsive and answered all our questions. If you are looking for a peaceful retreat in Maine, this is it.

Roberts place was a nice place to put my head down at night. He communicated clearly with me leading up to and during the stay. My trip lasted nearly two weeks and I had zero problems the entire time. A nice warm room with space, firm bed, cooking options if needed... couldn’t ask for much else. Location was nice as it was sort of near everything in the Waterville area. Would highly recommend for 1-2 people if they are looking for value and don’t need to live a lavish lifestyle.
